Smooth Ambler Spirits

We visited the distillery for the first time today, and were so impressed! This was not our first rodeo when it comes to bourbon tasting, so we had a basic idea of what to expect. We did not expect such a cool souvenir guide book. We did not expect so many varieties to taste. And we were truly taken with the service and attention to detail - despite the room being very crowded when we first arrived! We’re already planning our return trip!

We stopped by the Visitors center in Lewisburg and they gave us a map and it had this distillery on it so we stopped as it was on our scenic route. I am so glad we did. We had such a great taste testing with some great education about Bourbon. We really never drank Bourbon before, so learning about it was really exciting. The staff were so friendly and we really enjoyed the products. I wish they had smaller bottles because we’re not big drinkers, so a big bottle would go to waste. So while we did not buy Bourbon today, we did get a tee shirt to proudly wear back home in NC. We’ll stop by again if we’re back in this area. Thanks for the amazing time 🥃

Have been a fan for many years finally got to stop by only being 2 hours from Roanoke Va the product are still fantastic the people there are great and very knowledgeable and fun to chat with highly recommend all of there expressions but the new wheat is off the charts. I know i will return real soon especially with my son its only 2 hours

Am I ever glad I stopped at Smooth Ambler. Great whiskies, great service, and a free tasting. The only question was what to buy, because the various bottles had clearly distinctive flavor profiles, and none fell short of a top rank. Their offerings include blends (solely of whiskies from elsewhere or of a mix with their own, as well as their own product, which was what I chose. Yeah, I like going to Kentucky, too, but if you look good whiskey, don't pass over Greenbrier, W.Va., and Smooth Ambler.

What an incredible experience! The tour was so much fun as well as the tasting. Got to meet the founder, such a nice guy. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about their brand and the industry as a whole. We learned a lot and laughed a lot. Something you can keep coming back to do.

Loved that this distillery specializes in bourbons and rye whiskies!! While the don’t distill all of their spirits, they do age and blend them. The bottle prices are very reasonable for a small distillery too. Shoutout to our bartender Ashley who gave us a great time. Can’t beat free tastings!!!

We have been wanting to come out to Smooth Ambler for a while now after trying their products and it did not disappoint. They distillery is awesome and the staff was incredibly friendly. The distillery tour was nice and the tasting was great. I highly recommend stopping by if you are a fan of whiskey or if you are just looking to explore something new.
