Smuggler's Cove

Food: The food was astronomical. So many options, it’s almost impossible to choose and everything tastes differently and it makes you want to order everything. I tried so many dishes, this review would be bottomless if I list them all. To name a few, I ordered regular fries and truffle fries and tasted the difference. The truffle fries had a lot more flavor than the regular. Fun fact about truffles, they are mushrooms. Why is that important? Because fun fact number 2: a kilogram of truffles is worth more than a kilogram of solid GOLD. Don’t worry, the fries are just sprinkled in truffle so they don’t cost as much as gold, and they are definitely on the “to do” list. I also recommend anything with see food including alligator bites. You read right. They serve alligator meat, and it tastes really good. Heads up though, it’s hard to cut do you have to pull it apart instead of trying to bite off a piece. Service: Susan was really nice and gave us a lot of advice for what to order and checked in often. Compliments to her and the chef! Atmosphere: Kind of feels like when you go into a middle age tavern or diner. Very calm and nice, but the cameras and speakers and music broke me out of my day dream and reminded me that I’m in the 21st century.

What are fun surprise of a restaurant! It's definitely a townie kind of place that looks it's age, but with very delicious food. The only let down was the service. Stood at the host stand with 3 people behind it for a couple minutes before we were even acknowledged. Our server was a bit slow, and after food was dropped, didn't show back up until we were done. Everything we are was very very delicious. Not what I expected in the middle of Pennsylvania. The oysters were slightly dried out because I'm sure they were shucked ahead of time for the dinner rush. Would like to see a mignonette with them though. Alligator was a bit tough but very good. I would recommend if you are in the area.

To start it was our anniversary today and my husband made reservations letting them know as such. We sat outside which was a nice atmosphere all around. And that is about all I can say nice. Diner for 2 ... 160 dollars with tip no fancy drinks etc. Jumbo mozzarella sticks were very good marinara was nice... asked the waitress if the house salad had carrots as I'm very allergic she said no and out comes the salad filled visibly with carrots... no cheese no croutons essentially lettuce and carrots. Dressing super watered down no big deal I didn't eat the salad my husband did. I ordered the Alfredo royal looked like someone half chewed up my lobster and spit it out no flavor. My husband got the French onion soup which tasted what I imagine pizza soup to be even smelled like pizza but absolutely tasteless. Then he got 14oz prime rib medium rare just look at the photo we had to take it home so I can do something with it at all. Absolutely 0 seasoning and looks as though it was boiled in a pot of water it was gray and just nasty. I've never seen a 40 some dollar steak look like that. Despite all this didn't even offer drink refills or make any extra effort considering we told them it was our anniversary. To say highly disappointed is an understatement. Ended up going to wendys after so we could at least eat something edible. Save your money people

This place is amazing the food delicious and the service impeccable. I definitely recommend it. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The seafood gumbo wow it had plenty of seafood. The best lobster roll have had.

Good evening Google Family. I visited for the very first time today. I found this wonderful place on Google. I was looking for a seafood place and this turned out to be a GOLD MINE!!! What a FIND!!! I am so excited that I found this location on Google. After the fiasco at Seafood Heaven, Smuggler's Cove is heaven-sent. I started taking photos as soon as I got out of the car. The young male seated me and then I told him I wanted to take pictures of this wonderful place. It reminds me of a movie. Then I finally sat down. My server was Joe, who turned out to be the BOMB!! Joe was so kind, patient and so attentive to my every need. I ordered an appetizer to start out with. Broiled stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat and then I ordered for my entree, chicken francaise. Both dishes were delicious!!! I also received the salad bar as one of my sides. I could eat here every day. I was wondering where everyone was, meaning other customers. . It was pretty empty when I was there. Everyone started coming in when I left. I visited the rest room and it was very clean and neat. Also Smuggler's Cove is larger on the inside then it looks outside. I had a terrific dining experience here and I would certainly, you can bet on it, I will definitely return. Our first time here, it was our Anniversary and so loved everything. Our waiter Joe was the best, he made sure we didn't need anything or let our drinks empty. On point with everything and definitely will be back.

Very nice restaurant. Our server Daniel was great. Very friendly and accommodating. Salmon and brussel sprouts were excellent. Calamari, lobster tail were over cooked and rubbery. Other food that came out looked really good. Drinks were great.

This is a seafood and steak place. The food was good, as was the service. The atmosphere was only ok. When we visited, there were lots of flies inside. That wasn't great. The restaurant just felt kind of old and dated. The prices seemed quite high. My plate was $40. It had 4 shrimp, 3-4 small scallops on top of a bed of fine crab meat. The 'salad bar' was a sad affair as well. It was tiny and no soup or bread see with it. Personally, I felt it was overpriced considering the atmosphere and the portions.
