"While “Snack Planet” sounds like a store you’d drive by in Grand Theft Auto, there’s some great food happening at this stall in the Richland Center food court in Chinatown. The menu here is extensive - a lot of stir-fried basics along with some things you don’t always find, like dry beans with pig heart, or fried chives with pig blood. This is a serious takeout operation, and almost everything is under $10." - Adrian Kane

Fantastic food! The menu looked intriguing, so all 5 of us ordered dishes from here. Food was cooked to order (a bit slow, but understandable because there was a BIG group that ordered just ahead of us). But let me tell you, it was worth the wait! In fact, an Asian couple walked up to us in the food court and wanted to know where we had gotten our food. We weren't super adventurous with our choices, but what we had was delicious and very filling.

One of the best stalls at the food court in Chinatown. Prices are good, portions are generous, and the food is authentic/excellent!

My favorite restaurant in Chinatown! Their spicy cumin lamb chops are the best and must try, I always order it whenever I eat here. Food is excellent and authentic!

This little gem is tucked away in a basement food court of a building in Chinatown. The people who are eating here are mostly Asian. To me, that tells me that this is probably pretty authentic. Snack planet has a diverse menu with just about anything you could think of that would be stir fried. I've had several dishes here but my most favorite is the stir fried spicy octopus. The dish is spicy and flavorful but not overpowering. The ingredients are simple. Octopus, celery, jalapeño. It comes with a side of rice. Just simply good food! They also have a spicy fried crawfish dish that looks heavenly! Come visit.

Snack Planet is located down in the sub-level food court on the East end of Chinatown Square (across from the Parking lot). There are a variety of food vendors in the food court and this is one of them you'll want to try! Very authentic Chinese food that are more of a Northern Chinese style cooking (lots of SPICES!). Recommendations: - Fried Lamb Ribs - Spicy Crawfish - Fried Chicken Wings

I guess this gem is hardly hidden now, at least amongst those craving real Szechuan food in Chicago. Every item is savory and delicious in its right way. Amazing.

Snack planet's braised pork dish is life changing. I want to name my firstborn after it. Seriously. Go there right now and eat this dish.
