The 14 Best Restaurants In Jackson Hole

"Known as “Jackson’s living room,” or simply “the pub,” Snake River is a gathering spot that’s always busy with locals and visitors. The brewery opened in 1994, and beers like Pako’s IPA and their pale ales have won a bunch of awards over the years. Outside, play a game of cornhole or gather around the fire pit with a beer, and definitely stick around for a meal. Order starters like smoked trout dip, wings, and wood-fired nachos, and then dive into elk bolognese, pulled pork sandwiches, or pizzas like truffle mushroom." - kristen pope

Google
Would definitely recommend Snake River Brewing! The trout dip was a highlight for sure!! The bread accompanied it perfectly without taking away from the flavor of the dip. I had the chili, I absolutely loved it but halfway through the spice killed me, I wish I knew how spicy it was, I would’ve asked for less jalapeños but I was reckless and just mixed them all in. My husband got the burger, he really enjoyed it, and the sweet potato fries were perfect. We ended up splitting a flight and both of us thoroughly enjoyed our beers!

Google
A great place to grab dinner and a drink. We went pretty late and the staff was friendly and accommodated us. We tried their chicken sandwich, chicken pasta and wings. Their atmosphere is cool and represents a typical brewery. Their wings were amazing. It had a flavor punch. The burger was good and came with apt filling and I loved it. The pasta was ok and not that great to other places we tried. Overall we had a good experience here.

After a full day of hiking in the Tetons, there’s nothing better than a relaxed atmosphere and some ice-cold craft beers to wind down. We’d heard about Sneak River Brewery, so we took a walk through town to check it out—and it was well worth it. Seating was simple, service was fantastic, and the hummus with wood-fired bread hit the spot. It was exactly the kind of snack we needed before heading off for dinner. That said, after seeing what was coming out of the kitchen, I’d say it’s worth staying for a full meal too. The beers were excellent—the IPA especially stood out—and overall this was just a really cool spot to hang out.

Google
Good vibes, average food. Burger left a lot to be desired. My wife ordered a pasta dish which was definitely above average, but other couple’s food was meh and all the beers were nothing memorable. Cute spot though.

Google
We tried the pretzel, pepperoni pizza, & steak with potatoes & onions. The pretzel was epic. The pizza was great with the exception of tomato chunks. My husband prefers very little tomato sauce, & this pizza delivered. I had the steak, and it was cooked perfectly, but there was so much gristle that it was hard to cut throughout and even harder to chew. The potatoes were an odd consistency…almost like pickled then cooked? The onions were not palatable. The waitress seemed to avoid us. The atmosphere was fine, just loud. We were in town for a day. If we return to this town, we probably won’t return to this brewery unless for the pretzel.

Google
Fun place to eat outdoors, drink beer with friends and the best part...we brought our 2 dogs! We are traveling with them, so always on the lookout for a good restaurant brewery that is pet friendly! Beer is locally brewed and delicious! We had the trout entree and the bison burger. Both were locally sourced and really good!

Google
Stopped in for lunch and a beer/cider while on vacation in Jackson Hole. Pretzel was the standout, but BLT and trout dip were both great as well. Service was a little slow and our waiter was hard to pin down. We also realized after we left that we were charged for a second round that we didn’t order. I’m sure they would have handled it if we caught it while there. Regardless, I’d go back for lunch again.

Google
The bison burger has a unique flavor, it’s good. The chili soup isn’t ordinary soup, it’s more like kind of dipping source. Don’t take false expectations. The fish and fries has good crispy fish and soft fries. It’s a chill place in Jackson hole.

Yelp
Place is nice - they have two corn hole sets outside (need to use you ID to get the bags). Lots of place to sit outside and they have a fire pit Got the burger / canes with lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, cheese, pickles, and fries. Fries are solid. The burger was good - they didn't ask for a temperature for the meat - so was cooked well done. Kids tenders are solid. Very crispy and comes with 3-4 pieces for the kids menu and lots of fries. I probably would've ordered one for two kids. The Cobb salad was good. The chili was thick and comes with a thick slice of cornbread too.

Yelp
Service was terrible. Hosts & servers were very short & seemed like we were bothering them asking them for a table & for drinks, then our check. Cobb salad was very bland, barely any dressing. Brisket was more fat than meat. Our server never checked on us, and hovered over my shoulder to see the tip I left.

Yelp
Such an awesome option for tasty, casual, varied and well planned and executed food and beer. Our first trip in we shared a watermelon salad which was AMAZING - spicy pepitas are a great add, and the goat cheese wasn't overdone. Hubby said his bison burger was really flavorful, and my local trout has a nice crisp skin and moist flesh. Second trip was more salads, burgers, tacos and sandwiches and everything was super tasty and well executed - I was a big fan of both the beet and the walnut/gorgonzola salad. And the beers! Had an opportunity to try probably 7 different ones between the flight and some elsewhere. All are solid, tasty & true to style and the waitress we had on the first day did a great job of characterizing and recommending some. My only suggestion is to put in a holder so that names could be referenced. Those of us who like to take our time sampling/tasting & recording need those labels, and if a "standard" flight offering is 4, then use a holder that can be labeled or a printed ticket can be included. We may be back for a third meal before leaving Jackson - the menu offers enough diversity for everyone and I can have very different foods each time.

Yelp
Came here with my husband multiple times during our week in Jackson Hole. Have visited a bunch of times over the years. The beer tastes so good and refreshing. The food is delicious as well. Have to stop and get the Jenny Lake Lager every time!!!

Yelp
Great food and service! The waiting situation was a bit unorganized. I was on their online waiting list, it said I was next and then I was removed. When I told them they sat us right away so no issues there really. We ordered the pretzel, bison burger and elk bolognese and they were all incredible! We also really enjoyed the beers we ordered. Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
Delicious beer, but not great food. The lunch special chicken tacos came out cold, the pretzel was really chewy, and overall, not good. Ambiance was chill and very relaxed. Our server was fast and he might have been the only one working, but he was running around everywhere. After we paid, he even came back to us a few minutes later and asked us if we would like to pay. He seemed a bit overwhelmed with all the tables.
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
Open late and food comes out quickly! The beers were also very decent. I was really impressed with the food because I wasn't expecting much from a brewery. We ordered the chilli, beet salad, and trout. The chilli is apparently aware winning and maybe the best I've ever had. The trout was moist and flavorful. The crispy pork belly bits were also very tasty. Portions were very good.

Yelp
We loved going here ! We chose it for two reasons. 1: my friend collects growlers 2. We wanted to watch the NBA finals game. They had both! Wish the sound was the game but that's a lot to ask. The only thing with our food we were disappointed in was the fries. They were pretty basic. We tried the regular fries and the sweet potatoe fries. However, all of our entrees were 10/10 My friend absolutely loved the peach chorizo pizza. He said it was one of the best pizzas he ever had had. Someone also got the Bison burger and loved it. He was nervous about the cranberry onion jam but he really liked it. I got the Roper and the brisket was amazing! Really loved it. Now if they can only get their fries to match.

Yelp
Me and my friends were sat in the bar area to avoid waiting during a busy lunch, which was great except our server clocked out after getting us waters then we sat there for ~25 minutes waiting for him to come back. We eventually moved to the bar where we had great service! They have a great selection of reasonably priced draft beers, which we were able to sample a bit before ordering. I ordered the Italian sausage pizza, which was ok and i probably wouldn't get again because it was a bit bland and undercooked:/ however, my friends really enjoyed their food so i would definitely give Snake River another chance on food!

Yelp
Drinks only As our hotel was just around the corner, we popped in for some drinks. We were pleased to find a brewery accross the street from our Fairfield hotel. As we approached the hotel we could see that this was a local hang out- of course it was off season too- ski season was over and summer season had not started yet. So we go the true local vibe- which we loved! Prior to the entering the brewery, there is an expansive greenspace for kids to play in, plus tables and seats around fire pits. As you enter the brewery you are greeted with a wide variety of merchandise to purchase and the hostess desk. As you enter the dinning area- there is an l shape bar and plenty of tables on the main floor. On the second floor there are additional tables. We were just in mostly for drinks- they have a good number of taps. If you are not a beer fan, there are a limited number of cocktails on the menu and wines. The bar does offer daily happy hour with discounts on beer. As we had such a good experience with the staff- we found ourselves venturing there one too many times- and on one occasion we even sampled their prize chili which was nice! If in the area and you fancy a low key environment and some beer, this place is worth a stop to hang one on! Tip: The bar does shut down briefly between season so if visiting during that time check to see if they are open.

Yelp
Definitely Worthwhile During Your Stay in Jackson! Stopped in during a trip to Jackson, WY and was really impressed. I got the bison burger--really good. They also have a great selection of local and regional beers. The atmosphere was very cool--relaxed but lively, with a vibe that fits right in with the Jackson scene. Definitely worth checking out if you're in town!

Yelp
Lots of variety for food and beers! Ive been here a number of times and love the burgers, fish and chips, and most of the appetizers are spot on with expectations. Service is friendly but wait times are hit or miss, as even when it's been slower the food just doesn't come out that fast and you can tell it's been under the heat lamp. Love the interior!!! LOVE THE OUTDOOR SETUP, and truly is a must visit in the warmer months and when events are happening around town!
google avatar

Yelp
Big restaurant with lots of seating, even when busy. Both outside areas and inside areas to sit. All the food we had was excellent. I had the steak with a red chimichurri. It was cooked perfectly and was very tender and juicy. My son raved about his brisket sandwich. Actually claimed it was one of the best sandwiches he's had. My husband's bison burger came out over cooked and well done, but the waiter quickly replaced it with a perfectly cooked burger and hubby was very happy. For dessert we had the glacier brownie sundae, which was very rich and delicious. Highly recommend this place for food!

Yelp
When we are in Jackson we visit this place. I have seen growing through the years and the food and services have been always great! My favorite plate is the Bison Hamburger! It's juicy and the flavor is delicious. I have not tried the beers myself but my husband has , they are very good. It's a very casual place, you will love it. Enjoy

Yelp
St. Patrick's Day Weekend at snake River brewing is always a fun time with a live band themed drinks and food and a lively atmosphere. I ordered the corned beef which came with apple kraut, and potatoes the corn beef was good the kraut was ok and the potatos were cold. I was expecting a more traditional corned beef and cabbage. I thought the service was good a little bit slow, but the waitress was friendly.

Yelp
We stopped in for a quick bite for a late lunch after the spa. We are so glad we did, it wasn't busy, parking in the area was easy and it was a Saturday afternoon. I got a mushroom truffle pizza it was too much for me to eat but I did have two piece and they were amazing. They were the perfect balance of truffle and mushroom flavor. My friends got a sandwich and an Asian tofu salad. I didn't have a beer but they sounded delicious.
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
We had picked up a six pack from this brewery a few days ago, and it was excellent. Since we needed supplies, we drove into Jackson and opted to stop for a flight and a bite. Our waiter was beyond awesome! Helpful, friendly, and super nice. We ordered apps, and they were delicious. I always rate place by determining if I'd come back. Absolutely!
google avatar

Yelp
We were vacationing up in the Grand Tetons and come downtown Jackson to have lunch and shop. We had our dog with us, so we chose the Brewery. They had a spacious grassy area that was self serve, and that's where no waited for their patio seating. The burgers with Gruyère, were perfect, the amber lager I had was very tasty, but the best part of the experience was our server. She went above and beyond for us.
google avatar

Nicolette M.

Yelp
Awesome spot! The beers were all great. All around a great vibe in a beautiful town. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!
google avatar

Lana K.

Yelp
Nice brewery vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Food options that we had were good. The menu offers a variety of options: appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, entrees and pizza. The beers are great! Sadly, the service was not at the great standard. There was not a check in after receipt of food, no water refills, nor other requests fulfilled.

Brenda F.

Yelp
Both the food and the service were just "meh" at Snake River Brewing. The beer is good, but it's just as good from a can as on tap. The food was too rich rather than being flavorful. The music was a strange playlist of high school dance music from the '80s. We sat on the patio, which was covered and heated, so that wasn't too bad. Maybe it's just because it's the shoulder season, but we likely won't be back anytime soon.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
Excellent beer, nice ambiance, good views of ski mountain. Great vibe. Nice outdoor seating. Check it out!
google avatar

Suzanne L.

Yelp
Food was wonderful! In the area visiting our son and he enjoys the food and beer on a regular bases. He was excited to take us here for dinner. Our service was good and attentive. Sat outside wish was very relaxing!
google avatar

Yelp
Incredible place. Awesome selection of beers, yes the IPAs are incredible! From a Yelp review tried the Roasted Beet Salad!!! Btw I hate beets!!! The salad was incredible! Beets were roasted and warm, with the mixture of grapefruit and candied walnuts went very well with the crab-balsamic vinaigrette Will be back
google avatar

Candi R.

Yelp
First time at this brewery. Yummy beer, cocktails and food. Big place with indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a few appetizers as well as lunch. The smoked trout dip was delicious. We had the grain salad, burgers and nachos. The service was great. Nice atmosphere. Comfortable and nicely decorated.
google avatar

Ed S.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The pulled pork is quite tasty! You will want to order the pretzel and cheese. It's plenty to share among three people. I love how this brewery is in walking distance from the center of the town. We saw a deer on the way. So cool!
google avatar

Lindsey O.

Yelp
A fun brewery with a great beer, selection and top-notch food. There was a sour beer there that I really loved, and my boyfriend got a flight that was fun trying beers from. I ordered the elk bolognese and it was delicious. It was big enough to have leftovers too - ended up making the best elk bolognese grilled cheese the next day. The buffalo cauliflower was also really good. The service was friendly and it's a bit spade with two floors and ample seating. It was great for our party of 7. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Overall: We were excited to come here on a Saturday afternoon. We thought there would be a fun apres crowd, some good food, and good beers. Beers were the only thing that hit. I'd recommend just buying 6 packs. Food: 2 Drinks: 4 Service: 3 Value: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Food: I ordered the BBQ burger and my girlfriend ordered the 'Big Hole Burger'. My burger had potential, but ended up being pretty bad. The bacon on the burger was entirely covered in pepper. Typically pepper bacon covers the outer rim, but this was almost 100% covered. It overwhelmed all flavor of anything else. The normal burger was fine, but very disappointing that their additions made it much, much worse. Drinks: The beer menu was extensive and the two beers we tried were good. We even bought some extra to take home. Best part of our meal. Service: We were seated immediately. Our waitress was generally attentive, but she seemed quite overwhelmed. It looked like she was responsible for the entire upstairs, which was way too many parties for her. Good effort by her, but way too much on her plate. Value: The bbq burger was $22 and the normal burger was $18. Both seemed overpriced for what you got, especially the bbq burger. Beers were close to $10 each. Not bad, but cheaper to just buy it by the can downstairs. Atmosphere: We sat in the upstairs area, which is reserved for dining as opposed to the downstairs bar area. Both areas were dead when we walked in around 2pm, but the upstairs filled up with families towards the end of our meal. I thought there would be a much bigger presence. It was relatively quiet other than the kids running around the arcade games.

Yelp
Another great spot for some casual dining in downtown Jackson. This brewpub has a great menu from breakfast to dinner as well as their regular selection of beers. They do offer some seasonal and specialty beers to match some of their bar food items. The place can get busy , but there's plenty of seating both inside and in their courtyard. Recommend trying a flight of their beers to sample...but if you like IPA, you'll like the "Earned It. And the Jenny Lake Lager is also a good one to try.

K W.

Yelp
Good frickin' grief!! This was the best Brisket sandwich we've ever had and we LOVE brisket! AND the Business Time Raspberry Kolsch AND the The Allygator fruited sour was....the bomb! Service was fine. Great atmosphere. You can see the brewing operations. Fun find thanks to the guy recommendation from the visitor center. We will be back...tomorrow.

Yelp
Have eaten here several times over the years great service and food never disappoints. Great outdoor seating and pet friendly.

Yelp
We flew into Jackson Hole late afternoon on a Tuesday. We were tired and hungry. Luckily this awesome brewery was a block from our hotel. Their Happy Hour is 1/2 off drafts daily from 4-6. Their craft beers are DELISH!!! My favorite is Jenny Lake. The brewery has an industrial feel with indoor/outdoor seating. A nice lawn area that offers live music (on weekends). We sat at the bar and had excellent service!! We ordered the Smoked Trout Spread that comes with flatbread. It was over the top delicious!!! Fast forward to Friday of same week. We tried several other places to eat around JH and nothing compared to the craft beer, food, and service we had at Snake River.....so back we went!! This time it was Friday evening and the vibe was dynamic!!! Lots of folks on the lawn enjoying the band. Cute pups everywhere. Even with the bigger crowd we had no problem getting seats and excellent service!! Shout out to Luke who juggled a million things at once with true professionalism!! We HIGHLY recommend this brewery!! We even bought T-Shirts as souvenirs for the incredible memories.

Yelp
Loved this place! They were able to seat us right away on a July evening because they are quite big and have a lot of seating. Service was great! Our waitress was on top of it and we got our food pretty quickly. I had a delicious salad and my husband liked the brisket, I don't remember what my kids ate but everyone was happy. I drank a Blue Moon-like beer that was yummy. The cost of the food was very reasonable. I loved that they had bags and other games outside. 5 stars for atmosphere and taste!
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
Three stars for the beer and the cider. One star for the food. The Hefe beer and cider were tasty. We ordered the Nachos with blackened chicken. 8 bucks extra for the few pieces of tasteless chicken. There was maybe a teaspoon of sour cream, guacamole and tomatoes. They were very busy. Service was okay but I wouldn't eat here again.

Yelp
Sip, savor, repeat. I was blown away by the incredible flavors and variety at Snake River Brewing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The Wyoming bison beef chili was a hearty and had a delicious combination of flavors, perfectly complemented by the spicy chilies and pickled jalapeños. The bison burger was juicy and flavorful, while the noodle salad added a refreshing touch to the meal. The selection of beers on tap was impressive, offering a perfect pairing for every dish. Snake River Brewing surpassed my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch brew pub.

Anna K.

Yelp
Incredible food and beer far beyond my expectations! The take a hike hefe was an incredible brew - served to me by the man that made it. Accidentally spilled an entire pint and the staff very helpfully dried everything up and got me a new beer. The food was amazing - the humus, elk bolognese and burger. Highly recommend while in Jackson

Joe P.

Yelp
First, the food was amazing. What most impressed my wife and me was the service. It's getting to a point where we're getting used to poor service. Not so here. Bedo did everything possible to make sure we had a great experience and he hit the ball out of the park. Truly amazing and we'll be back to support this business every time we're in town. Great job Bedo!
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
We came here for a welcome party for a wedding and it was mostly outside by the fire pit. There's a large grass area, corn hole, a fire pit, patio, bar seating, table seating, and an upstairs area. The staff was little awkward at times but overall friendly. The tacos were very flavorful and I loved the green salsa. The fries with the burger with thick, which we liked. Bison burger was great but wish it had a little bit of something different - maybe pickled onions or a chipotle sauce.

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Food and Ambiance for a brewery was fantastic! Great place and good food. The service was horrible! Ordered wings and salad to share, and had to ask for plates, napkins and chase her down to get a round of the fantastic beer they serve. Quite unfortunate.
google avatar

Zack F.

Yelp
Every now and again while traveling you stumble across a place that's reasonably priced, great atmosphere, phenomenal service, and quite literally the best dinner. That's not even taking into account their beer. We only had two different samplings of their pizza and the trout dip as an appetizer - but if we were back in the area (live ~20 hours away across the US) this would be the place to come back to. If we ever are back in the area without a doubt we'll stop back by here. 11/10.
google avatar

William K.

Yelp
Mid in every way: food, service, ambiance. The much-touted bison burger tended toward dry and overcooked and was "small and tall" on a much larger bun, so there was an inch of bread to get through before you got to meat. The beer is... competent. No complaints, but no wows. Service was reasonably efficient and pleasant (especially for it being height of summer tourist season). I wouldn't avoid this place, but I wouldn't seek it out, either. So meh I'm having trouble forming any definitive opinions about it!
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
The beer is def better than the food. I've tried many dishes over the years. Never had an "amazing" food experience. I guess the beer is more important. Recently, ordered the Beef Short Ribs. "Braised short ribs, rosemary cream polenta, mesquite fried onions & red wine au jus". "Mesquite" fried onions? Does that mean smoky flavored? Not tasting it. I got it to-go, so I understand the presentation is not perfect. I expect Short Ribs to be "fall off the bone" tender. Not even close. I got 4 slices of a sinewy, chewy dry short rib on a bed of polenta with barely any sauce, and a small pile of deep fried onions. Basically one short rib. Stick in your teeth chewy. $29. Would be great if they served dental floss with it. I'll stick to their beer in the future.

Yelp
I do not recommend this business at all. A brunette hostess and a brunette server were incredibly rude and discriminatory. I had high hopes for this restaurant after being referred to come here by my hotel staff. However, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They only want to seat large parties at the prime outdoor dining tables and will lie to you, talk about you in front of your face, and send you on a wild goose chase to seats where you will not be allowed to order food/ drinks if you don't fit their impression of "high" dollar tables. I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant and the unprofessional etiquette I faced by the employees. There are far better restaurants, with nicer staff, better food and drinks closer to the center of town. This staff is incredibly rude, discriminates and does not deserve your business. Also I let them know I had an allergy and my food came out covered in nuts after. It could have killed me.

Yelp
Killer pizza! Killer Service! Coolest staff! Loved the fire pit and seating outside. Don't miss this one!

Noelle W.

Yelp
Snake River Brewing was one of our favorite places! The outside area with seating and games was awesome, and despite how crowded it looked like it was going to be, our party of 2 was seated without a wait all 3 times we went! They had delicious beers, and I discovered the highpoint cider there. We tried a lot of their food and all were delicious - the trout dip, pizza, burgers (appreciate the meatless option) and fries were all so delicious! It was a cool place to relax and watch some tv too, especially on the upstairs area.
google avatar

Roshini C.

Yelp
Fabulous food, exceptional service, and great ambiance to bring the whole family. The Elk bolognese is an absolute must order.
google avatar

Alaina M.

Yelp
We looove Snake River. 3 years in a row it's been the first night stop during our trip to Jackson to get some beers to go for our week in town. Love supporting them. This elk bolognese is the best in town!! So good! Bison burger also a classic out west must try. Our waitress was super friendly and very catering to our group. Great brewery vibes, just on the outside of the main town square but walkable from most places in Jackson.

Harold P.

Yelp
Service was great. We had the pretzel which had a slight crust on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Paired with the beer cheese it was fantastic. I had the griddled chicken sandwich. It was full of flavor. My wife had the Bison and Beef chili which was also good. The Pako ipa was hop forward but also had a malty finish. My wife had Zonker on nitro which she said was rich and full flavor.

Yelp
This was a good one! Kids loved the atmosphere. No complaints! It was quite a wait for some - we luckily were able to get in quickly though.
