Near place!! I had a great meal, first time ever trying catfish and I have to say I’m a fan! Got the Po boy sandwich, definitely recommend. Husband got the burger and it was good too, but the specialty is the fish for sure! Also heard from others the steak fingers are real good. Our server was great, we would definitely be back! There were also a bunch of nik nacks to look at and my kiddo loved the water feature.

Busy place, slower service than regularly. Food is good quality. Salad bar was a bit sketchy, no croutons, bitter cucumbers. Excellent broiled trout. NY steak was more medium than MR, good taste. Cree was an attentive waiter, just over-seated in his section. Short-staffed or poor hosting? Party of 6, we'd hoped for the Friday eve karaoke & heard it wasn't happening any longer. (Could change the advertising?) Nicest spot in Hagerman for steaks & seafood.

Once again, another great experience. Ashlee, the waitress, was friendly, informative, and very personable. The walleye was fantastic. The veggie medley was fresh and was not your typical frozen vegetables. The salad bar was on point again. Thank you. One the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a while. The wait staff and chef were extremely personable, friendly and had great recommendations on what to order. We were seated promptly and the food came out hot, fresh and seasoned to perfection! The salad bar was clean and tidy with fresh ingredients. Our entrees and appetizers were very delicious. The prime sirloin is top notch. Definitely recommend this place to anyone. Kudos. Keep it up!

Very disappointed. Dined in on Christmas Eve. We went here due to then having good reviews. We were staying in town at a cabin for Christmas. We called the previous day to ask how late they’ll be open Christmas Eve, they said 6 and there might be a party happening but it might not happen and then we called a couple hours before coming in they said they’d be open till 7:30. We arrived in around 5:30. Their menu has limited items as it was, they said they were out of a lot of items prime sirloin and baked crab dip are the two we asked about and they were out of. My husband ends up ordering the burger, he asked for no tomatoes or onions and wanted tater tots. When burger was brought out to us there was onions on the burger and the tater tots way over done and can tell deep fried old oil and they were cold! I ordered fish and chips, but to have loaded mash potatoes instead of fried. The fish were almost like fish sticks size and deep fried in old oil you could tell by the batter and the taste. Mashed potatoes weren’t warm and the cheese wasn’t even melting. I asked if they could do something about the cold tater tots and mash potatoes and their reply was to put it in their microwave and bring it back out to us. I told them I can just do that at where we are staying…

Google
The food is truly amazing. The service was reminiscent of warm Southern hospitality. We not only enjoyed a wonderful meal but also had the pleasure of making new friends. We will be returning soon.

Google
nice little restaurant... good atmosphere...food was ok... the soup was a bit bland for our tastes... service started off good, then went downhill from there....the server preferred to be either chatting away with the cashier or on the phone instead of attending to the pratreons and not once did he come to check with us...prices were reasonable.

Google
Service was quick and attentive. Waiter was great with toddler. The layout of the restaurant is a bit odd but fine. Food is so subjective. The chef cooked everything exactly to spec, so no complaints. Overall this was a good option in the area if you don't want to drive to Twin.

Google
Great food and good, friendly service. We ate there three times while staying at the Hagerman Valley Inn (dinner once, breakfast twice). They had a delicious cheesecake for dessert the day we had dinner there. My partner got sturgeon, which was very good. The breakfast was tasty and fast. The pancakes were huge and fluffy.

Yelp
Fun dinner at the SRG. After a long day of travel, we checked into the Hagerman Valley Inn and were pleasantly surprised to find a cute restaurant within a VERY short walking distance. The place was busy with a log cabin (with high ceilings) type feel. I had the walleye (deep fried) with tater tots and my husband had the grilled trout with asparagus. Both were super! The meal came with a salad bar (old school, eh?)...which was fun and tasty (who doesn't love an iceberg lettuce salad with thousand island dressing?!). Dinner entrees are served with choice of Idaho fries, Tater Tots, Mashed Potatoes, Saute' Vegetables, Rice Pilaf and Soup or Salad Bar (that's a ton of food!). We had a fun time - taking dessert back to our room. Hearty food, decent prices...and excellent location! Will go again when passing through Hagerman.

Yelp
Every time we go to Hagerman we stay at the Hagerman Valley Inn next door and always love our dinner at Snake River Grill. There are so many fun things to look at in there and has a very local feel! The service is always great and we have usually gotten the daily special! My husband got the white trout special this time and I got the cheeseburger. We went back the next night and got the rainbow trout to share because the portion sizes are daily big! We both love the salad bar which is very filling. A lot of the menu is fried food which is not my personal favorite. One of these days I want to try their desserts too but I'm always too full!

Yelp
Food was delicious and the staff were super friendly! I think we found our new favorite breakfast place. My daughter had an incident, her hot chocolate spilt on herself and besides the chaos the staff was nothing but friendly and apologetic.

Yelp
Came in for lunch, waited to get a table, seated in the indoor 'patio' area. Not very clean; the tables and the decor were dated and not kept up. Service was slow, but the menu was a nice mixture of fried foods, burgers, and appetizers (typical grill fare). It took quite a bit of time to get our BLT and Club sandwich, but the food was delicious and there was a good amount of it. Good prices and value.

Yelp
This is a must stop when you're in the area. For breakfast they are superb. Their dinners are simply top of the line. Barbecued brisket, chicken and Prime Rib that simply cannot be beat. Their grilled trout and walleye are the best you can get in this State. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is unique and very relaxing. it's an experience you won't forget and will want to repeat whenever you get the chance. By the way Chef Kurt hasn't been the owner for over 5 years. The new owners are Steve and Anita. Anita's been in the business since birth and is one heck of a baker let alone cook.

Meg B.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was VERY poor. Our waiter came to the dining room multiple times to help another table. Never even looked toward ours. We finally had to ask another waitress for our bill. Even then we had to wait longer than necessary. Hagerman Idaho

Yelp
Found this wonderful place by accident and we are so glad we did!! Ambiance is fun, staff was super friendly and helpful and the food was ahhhhmazing? Our group at the Sturgeon, Trout and Fish & Chips. Everything was top notch! The owner was very nice and shared the story behind some of the interesting deco! (He even gave my brother a piece that he loved!!). Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast on our way to Jackpot. Cute little spot with a very nice waitress. Service was quick and friendly. Breakfast was pretty good. French toast with bacon, sis had the hunters breakfast. Great value and would like to stop back in for dinner!

Yelp
26 Dec dinner with 6 family members- - restaurant was not crowded - no finger steaks, no steaks, besides a chicken fried - no sturgeon - no baked potatoes, as we arrived around 3pm, they were not up until 5pm - nothing left on the salad bar, even after the staff was informed it needed to be restocked - waitress indicated Christmas's Eve depleted their resources, she was outstanding despite the circumstances - add insult to injury, 20% mandatory tip and 6% credit card fee - needless to say the restaurant has completely gone down hill, rest of the food was marginal, anyplace else would have been better. Won't be giving them any more of my business. Not a happy dining experience- they should have closed their doors if they were out of food.

Yelp
Great Eats! During our time in Hagerman we ate here 2xs. Party of 4, we all loved our dinners. The sturgeon was delicious! We all ordered different entrees and were well pleased with all. The staff were fun and helpful. The decor alone is worth the visit. Go!

Yelp
Manager and server was terrible, very rude and the food was terrible. We will never return to this place again!
google avatar

Yelp
What a great find as we made our way through the sawtooth mountains. This lovely restaurant felt like we were visiting someone's home; warm, friendly, and there was even a 101 year old regular customer there. We had the freshly caught sturgeon for lunch and it was delicious. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Came in for breakfast with wife and daughter around 8:30. Noah our server was awesome and did a great job very friendly fun kid. We all pretty much got the same thing bacon eggs and hashbrowns. It was delicious and well seasoned. Food came out fast. Coffee was great and they have French vanilla creamer for those that like it.

Yelp
The food? DELICIOUS The people? Amazing and kind The feel? Perfect little homey, off the beaten path place We stopped here looking for dinner on a road trip and it's sooooo worth coming back to! As we sat over dinner we were planning more trips just to get to come back. Both owners came and chit chatted with us, and the staff was really friendly too. The menu selection seems small but there's something for everyone for sure, we had: The prime sirloin with mushrooms and mashed potatoes, the sturgeon with mashed potatoes and the rainbow trout, and they were all phenomenal, even the tartar sauce. For dessert we had the lemon meringue cheesecake, the Oreo crumble pie, and the coconut cream pie... the perfect cap to a delicious meal. Coming back 20/10

Heather C.

Yelp
Absolutely must try! The staff was incredibly attentive each time we dined (2 dinners, 1 breakfast). The breakfasts we had were amazing, and finger steaks for dinner brought us back a 2nd time. (Read some ridiculous negative reviews on this place, don't let them steer you away. This place is a gem. Food was great and we had 5 star service during each of our visits. Will be back!)
google avatar

Shannon K.

Yelp
After a 5-star breakfast experience, I returned with my family for an expected 5-star dinner experience... only to be extremely disappointed. The atmosphere is still captivating although this time we froze under the backroom ac. Our waitress was hospitable and candid. She even admitted to us that the macaroni and cheese was nothing more than boxed Kraft...REALLY? The other $19 plates were virtually uneatable. Fish and chips and steak fingers were fried in old flavored oil. The steak fingers were so over deep fried they laid like petrified wood on the plate and the fish had a hard exterior but nasty saturated oil interior. The macaroni is truly cheap boxed product with powered cheese and it wasn't cooked well. Overpriced and deplorable quality. Enough said, will never promote or return. Oh, they ran out of french fries too...in Idaho!

Yelp
Staying in town for the week and decided to stop in for a nice breakfast. So glad that we did..... food was amazing and service A++++ we had the breakfast burrito, snake skillet and some biscuits and gravy!!! Everything was exceptional. We leave tomorrow but will definitely be back for breakfast tomorrow before heading out.

Jim P.

Yelp
Normally, I just go for a burger all the burgers are delicious. This time I got burger and berry pie. The burger was awesome like usual but the Berry pie is going to become a staple for me. It was amazing. The service was amazing and price is very fair for the quality of food. Give it a try and you will be back for more. High quality!
google avatar

David N.

Yelp
This restaurant is much larger than you might expect. The menu is broad, and they have a good selection of wines as well. We split an appetizer of fried catfish and sturgeon, along with calamari strips. Each was prepared in its own breading and seasoning, so there was clear distinction between the three items. Service was prompt and friendly, price was reasonable. We will certainly return again!

Yelp
After reading yelp reviews we decided to stop in before kayaking. Husband and I decided to try the Aligator appetizer. The appetizer presentation was nice, was a generous portion, and looked like chicken nuggets. However, as we dug into this adventurous plate we found the aligator meat tough and chewy. The flavor was mild but we just couldn't get past how rubbery the texture was so we didn't even finish half of the appetizer. Our server noticed and asked. He went on to blame their distributor saying they get their aligator from 2-3 different sources and they never know exactly what quality of aligator they get. Yikes! The restaurant advertised that their aligator is "prime filet strips". We didn't order anything else since the appetizer was a flop and did the opposite of what an appetizer is supposed to do...open up your appetite. At first, the server offered to discount the appetizer which we weren't able to finish. When we got our check the only discount on there was $2 for the iced tea. We will look for another place to eat next time we are passing through Hagerman.

Yelp
Really excellent service! They were very friendly to me and my dog and didn't mind waiting on me outside. I never felt forgotten as the lone table outside. The catfish sandwich and vegetable medley were delicious. Plus they have an extended menu of IPAs - not common in smaller towns in ID!

Brandy S.

Yelp
I love this place! I went for breakfast this time before going to the hot springs. They have delicious omelets & hash browns.
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
Our family had breakfast here yesterday morning on our way to visit Blue Heart Springs. It was FANTASTIC!!! Finally a restaurant that serves real tasty bacon!!! The owner stopped and talked us about what we thought and his story of buying this place. He gave our girls some cool pebble rocks. Love the antique decor all over. The food and service was top notch and fast! The hash browns were cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back more on future trips to Hagerman! I wish we would have taken more pics but we were busy finishing our breakfast.

Yelp
Friendly staff, yummy food, clean, timely. I got the tasty Fish and Chips. My husband got the SRG Burger with a delicious, made from scratch bun and savory burger. Thank you Mason and Anita!

Yelp
So so food...nice servers...took a long time to get our food...just a burger and a french dip...portions were ok...still has Christmas decorations up and it's the end of February ..probably won't be back

Nathan W.

Yelp
Came to the Snake River Grill off of a recommendation. And it did not disappoint. Tony, on the grill made two perfectly grilled medium rare stakes. Order came out both timely and very tasty! David was our server, we asked for his recommendation and he gave us a few options depending on what we were wanting and didn't disappoint! Very friendly staff and delicious food I highly recommend!

Yelp
My wife and father and I swung by the snake River Grill and boy did we make a great decision. Our waiter was Dotty she was very informative, funny, held a conversation. Their food was out of this world good. My wife ordered The cattleman burger and I ordered the blackened catfish with clam chowder, calamari, alligator and as a dessert we had the chocolate pie which I have never had a better pie. Hands-down a awesome restaurant great food and great people

Yelp
Husband took me out for date night. And decided we should eat here. I had heard mixed things about it, but it was busy and looked nice. This place has a slight identity problem, it kind of wants to be a gastropub, but it's not. It kind of wants to be fine dining but it's not. It's not casual dining, a sports bar or family dining either. I feel like it's trying to be too many things to too many audiences and not really doing any of them successfully. That said, I like the decor and it's super clean and the food is really fresh. The service...harried. Our waitress was in such a hurry that I initially thought she was rude, but then I realized she was just rushed. She was actually really good and nice. The menu is definitely focused on fish, meat and potatoes, so if you are a vegan or vegetarian, you may as well go elsewhere. We ordered two glasses of an Idaho Cabernet/Merlot blend. While it lacked the complexity and jammieness I usually like in a wind, it was very dry and had a nice berry not to it that I did like. It was the first Idaho wine I have ever enjoyed. We opted for the salad bar over the soup. The lettuce was iceberg (not a fan), but it was all very fresh and well presented. The dressings were good. We had the red crab and artichoke dip appetizer which was our very favorite part of the meal and I would go back for that alone. It was very rich and loaded with crab, artichoke and Parmesan with ample toasted sourdough toasts. It has a nutty, smoky flavor that was so good. For an entree I chose the grilled sturgeon. Very nice sturgeon filet, grilled, buttered and seasoned beautifully. My mashed potatoes were creamy with the occasional little bite of potato. The country gravy was a surprise. Could use some seasoning. Husband had the sturgeon nuggets which he said were good, the tartar sauce was homemade and really nicely balanced. The fries were a let down as they were plain old commercial steak fries. For a restaurant that seems to focus hard on local ingredients, I was let down and my husband was disappointed. The presentation was really nice, but for the price we both kind of expected more. I liked it and would probably go back (for lunch), my husband would not.

Yelp
The food and service was fantastic! The scenery was welcoming and wholesome. Can't recommend enough. Thank you for an awesome meal and experience SRG!!

Susy S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere.. Noah was awesome handling our large group and the Prime Rib Dip was yummy!!
google avatar

William K.

Yelp
Decent restraunt for the area - prices are a little high wich would be acceptable if they upped their game a little bit - wife liked her country fried steak and loaded potato - clam chowder was thin and salty and had so many potatoes was almost potato soup except for the clams - catfish was good but breading was soggy - steak had good flavor but was over cooked from medium - bacon wrapped shrimp was good and flavorful - calamari was definitely previously frozen and it showed - sturgeon bites...the sturgeon had good flavor but the cornmeal breading was super bland and threw the taste off completely (other guests next to us made same comment) over all with limited choices in a small town not a terrible stop if in the area and hungry

Steve E.

Yelp
The food was quite good. Nice, welcoming place with an interesting menu. Relaxed, summer atmosphere. The owner sat with us for a bit and made good recommendations. They make you feel like they are glad to see you. Will definitely return when in the area.
google avatar

Julie N.

Yelp
Great place to eat! Friendly staff (thank you Noah) great food!! We ordered the blackened trout and the spurge on and catfish bites! Yum!!

Steph M.

Yelp
Food was good but the service & manager was terrible!!! I won't be back. People came in after us and got there food and left before we even got our food. The manager was a jerk and raised his voice at us. The server Mason was very rude as well I love local businesses so I hope they don't treat every customer like this. After my 2 hour wait they couldnt take my payment because there card machines were down but, we got cash to pay. the manager followed us to the parking lot and started screaming at me while I had my baby in my hands and was threatening me. Then approached my vehicle as I was trying to leave. all I wanted was a peaceful breakfast which I was told would take 20-30 minutes which would have been just fine but instead they decided to be very disrespectful.

Yelp
A solid good place for breakfast. Gina was a lovely server. Helpful, attentive and friendly service. We are plant based by choice and have several allergy challenges so we did have to veer off the beaten path this morning. Denver hash browns covered with cheese....minus ham were very good. ( Gosh, I should have minus-ed the cheese and added portabella mushrooms!) Large portion we could easily spit, but we didn't Clean and pleasant atmosphere. P.S.Hagerman is a surprising little gem in Idaho. For only 872 population it has much to offer. Museum and coffee shop too!
google avatar

Tristan J.

Yelp
Great food, great service, the clam chowder was one of the best I've ever had, highly recommend

Brenda B.

Yelp
The atmosphere is small town and comfortable, the food was very good but most importantly, the service was AMAZING! I did not catch out severs name but apparently she made the carrot cake and we are going to Vegas together lol. Best service we've had in a while, thank you so much!!

Yelp
This restaurant does some things very well: generally steak and fish. Other entrees such as the chicken fried steak are frozen to beware. We ordered the steak fingers with tater tots and a cup of clam chowder. The steak fingers were tender, fresh breaded and crispy on the outside and the tater tots were crispy and done right. Excellent! However the clam chowder did not taste like a classic New England creamy clam chowder and we rated it a fail. The other order was grilled sturgeon with sautéed vegetables. Both were excellent. The sturgeon was seasoned and seared perfectly. It was juicy and hearty. The vegetables were julienne zucchini with some diced tomatoes which were seasoned deliciously. I ordered a side salad and everything was fresh except the lettuce on top of the salad bar bowl. I tried the sun dried tomato dressing, similar in look to thousand island but with a vinegar taste - so so. The restaurant has been freshly updated inside and the facilities look great. Our server Gina said she had been there 28 years and she was enjoyable. The dinner entrees include half portions which are available at lunch as well and this is a plus for those who want to cut down on huge portions. It made more sense to order a half portion of sturgeon which included all sides than to order the sturgeon sandwich then add incremental sides. I recommend the Snake River Grill if entrees are chosen carefully.

Yelp
Great service, very friendly staff. The food was great also. Wife had a prime rib Philly with salad bar. I had a grilled cheese with fries.

Yelp
Once we discovered this place, we went back every day during our stay at Hagerman. The food is so delicious. And the service is great. They have generous portions. Seriously, everything is so good! Three of us shared something from our plates and we loved every bite. You'll just have to try it!
google avatar

Russ S.

Yelp
We went to the Snake River grill to get our Sturgeon fix and weren't disappointed. Great find!

Emily M.

Yelp
We often come here after going to the hot springs. The owners are very friendly and a pleasure to spend time with. They are really nice. Its fun talking with them! Every time we come here, the restaurant is packed. The restaurant is clean and spacious. There is also, an area for live music. And a piano if you want to play. The food is good too. Some of the available food options i like, and some i don't. However, I'm also really picky. But for the record, I dont like carrot cake at all, no matter how many times ive been made to try it. But the homemade carrot cake here is Sooooo good! This is the 1st time ive liked carrot cake!... After talking with the owner, we have learned that a good majority of the food is homemade or homegrown. You can see that the owners have a passion for what they do. If you are going through Hagerman Valley, give this place a try.

Grace R.

Yelp
We had the best food and service at this great place. Our server took care of our party of 30 flawlessly. The food was delicious and hot when served. I strongly recommend this great place.

Tristian C.

Yelp
Date night! After floating the Snake River my wife and I headed to the Snake River Grill for our first time and it did not disappoint! My wife and I loved the salad/salad bar and clam chowder! I tried the sturgeon fillets for the first time and they were amazing! David our server was very attentive and made excellent recommendations for us!

Shari S.

Yelp
We had two meals here while visiting Hagerman. The first we ordered Sturgeon, Shrimp, and Fish and chips. The meals were wonderful and service was amazing. Or server and the manager kept checking on us and ensuring or drinks were filled. The second time, we ordered chicken strips and nachos. It was, again wonderful. It was our server's first day, so we missed a couple things (ketchup and fry sauce, to be specific). The manager checked in just before we were done and refilled our water and asked how our server did. We shared our concerns. We will definitely return on our next visit to Hagerman. We ordered 1/2 orders on our meals, which were very generous!

Chatney G.

Yelp
Breakfast: The building smelled of sewage and was almost unbearable. The food was not fresh. The biscuits were Pillsbury and the gravy was not homemade. Service was fine.

Yelp
It was July 23rd, 2021, and my fiancees and I's anniversary. We got a little lost running around Hagerman that day. We ended up rolling through Twin and out the back of Balance Rock (honestly, I couldn't duplicate the route a second time) and we ended up in Hagerman hungry and tired. He was a chair user and the restaurant was very accommodating, making sure he felt welcome and that the aisles were clear for him to get through. They put us in that cute little indoor area with the fountain and the sun coming in on us on a beautiful summer day. Nobody was around. Service was fast, friendly and the food was cooked perfectly. The salad bar was small and a little different, but the food they brought out was definitely worth going back for. The experience itself is worthwhile, it was quaint and perfect. Unfortunately, our last anniversary together since my fiancees' life was cut short just a few short months later, but the memory of the positive experiences on that anniversary is among the memories I will cherish.
google avatar

Dan B.

Yelp
Decent food but one of us had the fish and chips and couldn't eat more than 1/2 of it due to inedible pieces. Hamburger was great; coffee was good

Yelp
Stopped here again... ordered the same items as last time as they were just as good, this place does not disappoint. Next time I will combine the two and get the philly cheesteak with ajuice as a dip.
