While I hate to write bad reviews, I feel it's necessary for the hotel to get a clue in this case. We stayed 3 nights. Location couldn't be better, right on the ski hill in Teton, however... I ignored the negative reviews for that reason. I wanted to like it. The negative reviews were accurate, so this is really more my fault than the hotels. Regardless, the issues. Our first room smelled strongly of sewage, we had to move, even the windows open didn't help. The second room, we could not cool down. We had the air conditioning on all night, every night, did I mention it was about 9 degrees outside and we never turned the heat on. Absolutely, miserable evenings. The beds were very hard. We asked for assistance several times, at the front desk. On all 3 occasions they "didn't know." The questions were: the elevator isn't coming, where are the stairs? Didn't know. We're dining at the Four Seasons, looks like a 5 min walk, is it out the door to the right or the left? Didn't know. Where is the ski valet (in their hotel I might add)? Didn't know. Let's move to food. Ordered a Sapphire martini at the bar, watched them make it, used some no name brand in the well. Ordered chicken wings, came cold with bbq sauce over the top within 2 minutes of ordering, clearly sitting around and not properly heated to be safe. Extra charges: charged about $68 per night in "amenities" - I called on this because we didn't use any amenities, we even bought our own snacks from the grocery store outside of the resort on the ski hill. Front desk girl couldn't explain what they were but whether we used them (them what?) we are charged for them. When I pushed, she said "Like towels" Towels??? I said, then she directed and said towels at the hot tub... but we didn't go to the hot tub... didn't matter. Then the deposit of $150. I noted others commenting about this charge, which I thought was the charge I just mentioned above. I asked when I checked in about the charge. Front desk clerk said the $150 is a deposit "on the amenities you use, if you don't use anything it gets refunded". Nooo, so not true. The $150 is an additional deposit for incidentals only. Apparently incidentals and amenities are different. We were very cautious and used neither. We were charged the like $65-68 per day, which they refused to refund. And, I haven't seen the $150 refunded yet. Will have that fight with the manager tomorrow. There was nothing "right" about this resort but location... and we paid $700 per night before all the bs fees and taxes. Do not stay here! Buyer beware!!!! There are plenty of other lodging options here that were equally as close. Absolutely poorly run, and untrained staff. Not the staff's fault ... absolutely terrible management of what could be a great property.
