On the Grid : Snakes & Lattes

"Snakes & Lattes invented the board game cafe craze in Toronto and they’ve just moved into their huuuuuge space on College St. They were the ones who introduced Cards Against Humanity to Canadians and sell any and every expansion pack there is (even the "Bigger Blacker Box"). $5 to play for as long as your heart desires. Ample seating means you should bring a bunch of friends, and the collection of 1000+ familiar and unique games to choose from mean you should all stay for a couple of hours. They make excellent espresso drinks on their La Marzocco machine, have a big menu of soups, snacks, and sandwiches, and a surprisingly long list of beers on tap. Plus draught wine (!!!). Must plays: Werewolf, Telestrations, Codenames." - Sid Lee

We’ve been here many times over the years and the selection of games on offer is vast. We’ve visited with friends and with children. From the classic board games to obscure gems, there will be something for everyone. The seating area is large and clean, the staff take pride in maintaining the facilities as well as the games. The atmosphere is great and it’s a great place to play some games for a few hours.

Google
Great option if you are looking to do something different and fun, you can play so many different board games and the staff members will also help you to understand the games if you don't want to read all the rules, they are kind, attentive and always in good mood. The food and beer are also good. Just be prepared to spend more than $40 per person if you are looking to eat something, because you have to pay a $20 fee admission to the restaurant plus your food, the good thing is that you have free non alcoholic drinks and $10 off for your first alcoholic drink

We had an incredible experience! The Margherita pizza was absolutely delicious — highly recommended. And the jalapeño poppers were insanely good!

We joined a puzzle competition at Snakes & Lattes — and it was awesome! The atmosphere was super fun and energetic. The place is cozy, the drinks were great, and there’s something really special about being surrounded by people geeking out over games and puzzles. Such a unique experience — I’d totally come back for another round! 🧩🔥🎲

10$ / person with unlimited drinks, and kids 12&under are free (yet unlimited drinks). That's a steal! Staff were great, very helpful, proactively offered help and taught us some games! Really well run establishment.

Google
Best hangout /board game place to spend with friends! Our waitress, Crystal was super friendly and gave us a lot of good recommendations for drinks and food. Our orders came super fast even when the place was packed. I loved the sangria and all the variety of board games offered at this location. Fridays-Sundays are very busy days so, I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

Google
Snakes and Lattes is an absolute classic! I love the cozy, welcoming ambiance—it's the perfect place to relax with friends, enjoy some light snacks, and dive into a great selection of board games. The variety is incredible, with something for everyone. Whether you're a casual player or a game night regular, this spot never disappoints!

Google
Amazing place to play board games and socialize. Their coffee, drinks, and food are quite good too. Service can be a bit slow if they are busy. Great atmosphere!

Yelp
Went here from an event I found online. At snakes and lattes they were hosting a chess event! You had to register online for it. I came on a Wednesday night on Jan 22, 2025 at around 6pm and the place wasn't too packed but got busier as the night went on. Upon entering the place, there was many boardgames which was cool! I ended up getting a latte and nachos (which I forgot to take a picture of). I thought it was really well made, the latte and the nachos were also really good! Overall I had a fun experience playing chess and enjoying the latte and nachos. I would recommend this place to those looking for a fun hangout night with friends!

Yelp
Solid board game cafe experience. The entry is a bit steep compared to what I was used to - $20 per person! But, each entry also entitles you to unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, as well as $10 off an alcoholic drink of your choice. For some drinks, this discount is enough to push it to free; not too bad. The employees are friendly enough. I'm a rules guy, so I didn't ask for any help, but they were proactive and effective in explaining and recommending games to some tables around us. Actually, having known exactly what games I wanted to try, I found them to almost hover a bit too much for my taste--but I'll chalk that up to visiting and a less busy time. There is a section of games that are only available upon request, but I didn't have time to check that out too much. Still, seemed like a good selection, with fairly logical organization. Almost certainly will go back!

Yelp
Ive always known about snakes and lattes but this was my first time coming here. Pretty cool place to chill and play board games with a big or small group. Drinks are pretty good here and also reasonable priced, LOTS of board games to play and they also sell some as well. I thought it was pretty cool that the employees know how to play all the board games, so you can ask for their help if you don't understand any of the board game rules. They also charge a head fee of around $10ish per person.

Yelp
I had a wonderful time at Snakes and Lattes during a rainy afternoon! The staff were very attentive and willing to help if you are searching for a certain game. We played monikers and liar liar which were really great party games for a group of 6+. The food was really good as well, we shared a pitcher of red sangria which was delicious. The calamari was delicious and the poutine was great.

Yelp
This place was so much fun. I've never been somewhere with so many games and an actual game master. The game master asks you some questions and figures out what you would like and then recommend games. You can order drinks and food or just play games and pay hourly. It wasn't too busy and we were seated immediately. It's a lot of fun with a group of people especially on cold rainy days when you wanna be indoors

Yelp
On a dreary day, my partner and I decided to have an evening of games and snacks; she's been to Snakes and Lattes before and decided to take me along and show me a good time. And a good time was had! I appreciated that they have a very wide selection of games and there's also designated staff that can teach you how to play different board games if you don't have a lot of experience or familiarity with certain ones. We came on a relatively busy night so our waitstaff was a bit scattered but still very helpful and prompt. Their drink selection is pretty varied but also seemed a little overpriced considering that to even play the board games costs $10 CAD per person; I haven't tried the food but the popcorn was free so I munched on that. Playing monopoly with a nice IPA and popcorn is my idea of a good time on an overcast and rainy Saturday night, this spot fits the bill for that kind of evening for me. I'd definitely come back, even if I secretly quibble about the $10 CAD to play.

Yelp
Decided to check it out on a weekday night. Street parking is available, we found a spot fairly close. We made reservations as we were a large party of 7. Once we arrived there was a mixup with the reservation but since it wasn't as busy we got seated right away. The place is very large, plenty of seating available but on busy night I'm sure it's packed. There is a bar right at the front, different style of seating (booths & tables) , washrooms were gender neutral. Once you sit, you have an option to order food or plays games $10/person for game play 18% gratuity added for groups over 6 They had two walls of games plus more. There were so many games to choose from. The staff was kind enough to provide their expertise in helping us chose a game & take us through the instructions on how to play. We were there about 3 hours. It's impossible to get bored. Onto the food, this was a hit and miss. Mac and cheese came out cold despite it being served in a cast iron. This was probably my our least favourite dish as it lacked flavour. The chicken sandwich was tasty, the chicken wings were seasoned well. The fries were actually really good (and thin cut). Onto the drinks, the Nutella latte was super decadent, so rich and creamy and warm, perfect was to end the night. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here. The staff was friendly & informative. They have promos most days of the week. Tuesday were date night etc.

Yelp
Found this place after dinner. Got drinks and the fresh baked cookie! It was so good. Helpful staff and a huge selection of games. Easy to learn a new one or play an old favorite. They have a member of staff specifically to help you learn. A great way to spend an evening with friends. I believe there are a few steps to get down into the bar I don't remember seeing a ramp but call to confirm.

Yelp
Spacious place for board games lovers and friends. Best calamari ive had. Delicious food. The vanilla latte was so good. $10 per person if you choose to play and chose from their selection. Two huge walls with shelves of board games. Music was good. Ive been here four times and we had a a server named krystal and shes absolutely amazing . They also have game masters to help goers with the games. Cocktails were great too! Would go back again!

Yelp
Tried the place for the first time and had lots of fun. Time flew playing board games. Thanks for the fries to help those extra calories you need when playing strategy games. Food is nice, not too many options for brunch but manageable. Staff is really nice and warm. The game master was sooooo helpful.

Yelp
The food here is good the servers are pretty good. There was a long wait and a huge crowd. Board game selection is great, however some can be in shoddy shape.

Yelp
Fun , big space with a nice vibe. There's all kinds of people from different walks of life that seem to show up. They have all the games you'd probably want to play or discover. The food and drinks are great too! They have a $15 minimum per person; the only con is the silly $8 charge per person of that $15 just for playing. Go a few times and that ends up being the price of the few board games you'd want to buy. To the staff, it would be more pleasant to up the minimum to $20 pp to be be used on food and drink, but get rid of the $8 "playing" free. On the weekends expect a wait. They should have an online Yelp waitlist for super busy days.

Yelp
Cute concept. Good choice of drinks, and enough food that you can find at least one thing to feed you. I feel like the game feels ($10 adult, $5 kids) is a little bit excessive for someone who is going to it as a 'restaurant'. However, if youre a hard core table top gamer, or if you want to try a new game, perhaps thats fair.

Yelp
Snakes and Lattes on College is an excellent board game cafe. There is a large selection of games. The staff is friendly and well versed on the games and can offer a a quick rundown of the rules and can also recommend games. The place is very large and I am always able to find a table. In addition they can accept online reservations. There's a complete bar and a fairly comprehensive menu. But beware, they have recently changed their pricing structure. Entrance is $8 and there's an additional $7 in minimum order. Still, it is a reasonable charge for the pleasure of playing the large selection of board games.

Yelp
This was the first time I came here, and I was genuinely so impressed by the food. Since Snakes and Lattes functions as both a game place and restaurant, I was not expecting for the food to be so good. I also ordered a poutine with fried chicken that was too delicious I just gobbled it up before I had a chance to take a photo. The latte wasn't anything too special, but it was nice how they had a large variety of lattes to order. What was a real game changer was the dessert! I highly recommend the baked cookie on a skillet when you come here. It does take awhile for the cookie to be prepared, but it is worth every second. As for the games. They had a large variety of games and a friendly staff that will help you choose something if you are stuck. Sometimes they might even help you get the game started if you're a little unsure about the board game you picked up. My only complaints are with the service at times. Though I visited a busy evening so it is somewhat understandable. My table's initial waitress was a true gem, but I did find that some staff members scattered or could be a little on the colder side. There was also a mess up my table's lattes a couple times when we ordered almond milk, but got oat milk instead. The lattes were still delicious regardless~

Yelp
I know most people come here for the games and not the food but sometimes competition makes a girl hungry. I only ever order one item - the brownie. And it's made pretty inconsistently as you can see from the various times I've had it in my pictures. Sometimes it's decent, other times good, and sometimes downright delicious. I'm not gonna fault then though because obvs food isn't their forte. Now the games - the selection is still greater than any Café I've been to in GTA but their price makes them less appealing. Having been spoiled at cafes where a drink gives you unlimited play, having to pay for unlimited play AND drinks here makes me feel a tad unsettled. I still come here though because the location and the selection is great but do wish they would up their cafe game.

Yelp
such an amazing concept simple yet extremely fun! Love that there is no pressure to drink alcohol and there is a full coffee menu til late!

Leva N.

Yelp
I think the fact that we can only enjoy a board game with friends when we have to pay $10 for it really encapsulates a lot of what is wrong with the world today. My blueberry muffin was also asymmetrical. :(

Yelp
What a great fun place. Creative menu and drinks. Great place to hold a game party with so many different games to choose from. Friendly and helpful staff. They don't serve lunch except a Saturday and Sunday Brunch.

Yelp
Place The snakes and lattes is board game central! It is literally every board gamers dream. It is very spacious and it has every game that you could think of!! service The service is really nice and they are willing to explain how this cafe works so that's a plus. You can either just buy drinks and play or actually eat food with tea/coffee! food/price The poutine is amazing here I never thought I would like poutine but the food here is amazing and I fell in love with how they served it. I really enjoyed the tea too! The price is good but don't forget you have to pay to play games audience It is for everybody but towards later times it is mainly filled with college students and couples! It gets tense with the competition haha recommendation/tip I would def recommend people to come! I would come again!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and had a really good time. We arrived around 10:30 pm and were seated at a long table big enough for 8 people about 15 minutes after we arrived. That is pretty good considering when Snakes and Lattes first opened, the wait would be 1-2 hours. We ordered drinks, food, and played some games. The drinks were good all around and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We tried tons of items on the menu as well and everyone thought their food was pretty good. I ordered the Harvest Kale Salad, which was made gluten and dairy free. It was really filling and full of nutritious ingredients like kale, quinoa, beets, and chickpeas. My boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Cauliflower and he really enjoyed his dish. They tasted really flavourful and were vegan friendly. The only complaint is the dish was a little small. We also ordered popcorn for dessert and we chose the dill flavour. It arrived drenched in the dill flavouring and was a bit too salty for our liking. Next time we will ask for plain popcorn instead. Some of our other friends ordered sandwiches and said they were good. All over, we would definitely return to Snakes and Lattes for another fun night with friends.

Yelp
All things considered, Snakes & Lattes is one of the oldest and most well-known franchised board game cafes in downtown Toronto. That being said, here is what you should expect: 1) There's an $8 sitting fee for "all-you-can-play" with no time limit 2) They offer various food and drink (alcohol included) menus 3) It can get REALLY loud/rowdy because some players are just a bit too passionate, especially if they're inebriated 4) The games are likely going to be a tad bit sticky/dirty from frequent usage Overall, I find Snakes & Lattes is a great board game cafe if you don't mind the noise level and slightly worn condition of their games. Of course, if you visited a smaller cafe, it would be quieter and cleaner - but it would also likely have less variety of games.. so take your pick!

Yelp
A couple of friends and I were looking for a place to hangout and catch up and decided on Snakes and Lattes. Turns out it was the perfect place for this! For $8, you can stay as long as you like. We took our time chatting while playing a few boardgames. It wasn't too loud despite being quite busy so you can carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice. If you get hungry, they offer a variety of food and drinks. They have wine, beer, and cocktails in addition to lattes. They also have vegan and vegetarian food options. However, food and drinks are definitely not their forte. The poutine was drowned in gravy and was super salty as a result. The drip coffee had a sourness to it. Although the food wasn't amazing, it does offer an amazing atmosphere, nice staff, and a large selection of games.

Yelp
super chill place. was drunk walking by and came in looking for a snack and their poutine was decent. i didn't play any board games but they seem to have a great selection and i'll definitely be coming back here! servers were nice as well :)

Yelp
Great place for groups of friends or couples who aren't in the mood for a standard night out. I came here with 6 other people and was surprised at how big it was. It has definitely more of a café vibe, unlike the board game bars I've seen in Montreal (more grimy and bar-like). We were a big group so it took a while to be seated. During the wait, we browsed the selection of games that they had (both to play there and some to buy). When we were eventually seated, we were greeted by a super friendly waiter who explained to us how it worked. My friend ordered nachos and the rest of us ordered a variety of beers. I didn't try the nachos but they looked very meh. It is $8 to play games which I found a bit expensive. I've been told that cover fees in Toronto are to be expected and my montreal turned torontonian friends found the price to be OK. They did however say that it used to be $6 when they first moved there. Beers were $7.75 so also a bit pricy. We played Dixit, Taboo and another game I can't remember the name of. They have games for all moods so I'm sure there is something for everyone! I had a nice time and would definitely come back.

Yelp
I really wish there was something like this where I live! I do have some minor "cons" which you can read toward the end, but ultimately I had so much fun and would love to go back. What makes snakes and lattes different from barcades and other bars with board games is that it's more of a restaurant/cafe with table service, and there are actual "game gurus" who can teach you the games. There is also an impressive variety of games available and an intricate labeling system so that you have a sense of how easy they are to learn/play. I visited Snakes and Lattes with a friend who goes there pretty often and a bunch of her friends from grad school joined us. I feel really fortunate for this because I don't know how else I would've found it as a tourist or if it would've been as fun with a smaller group or by myself. The group was 8 total and we were seated right away, but my understanding is that there's normally a really long wait for a table. I had the Korean poutine, which was fine. This was only my second time having poutine and my Korean food experience outside of bbq is pretty limited so I don't have much to compare to. It didn't blow me away, but I have no complaints, other than that I expected more kimchi and spice. They were really busy, and upfront and apologetic about it, but that meant we had long waits between being served and no luck with finding a guru to teach us the games. I don't think that hindered our experience at all since we were having such fun with the games. The prices also seemed kind of high to me. I had just one glass of wine and the poutine on top of the $8 fee for playing games which meant I spent around $50. I guess considering that we camped out there for about 3 hours playing games, that wasn't too bad, just more than I expected when I planned for a night of board games at a cafe. Even given the business and price, this was a positive experience and highly recommend. This was unlike anything I've done before!

Yelp
Snakes & Lattes is one of the best board games cafes I've been to in the city - and I've been to a couple. This location is large, more spacious than the Bloor location, with ample selection of board games to choose from (all organized and labelled very neatly on the numerous shelves around the cafe, making it easy to find and put things back). All the staff are very friendly and helpful in helping you select a game to play, explaining the rules of the games, and answering questions. The cafe's menu is quite good for a board games cafe - there is quite a selection of drinks (tea, coffee, juices, booze), snacks (popcorn, cookies, cakes, desserts), sandwiches, burgers, salads, and other things to choose from.

Yelp
This location is huge! Lots of booths with wooden benches, and you can stay as long as you like. They have a huge selection of games, although some of them are missing pieces and the rulebooks are pretty tattered. They also have a retail section. Food is below average and they charge a premium. I got the popcorn with vegan cheese, which was just okay and made me really thirsty. My friends' burgers and poutine were also just okay.

Yelp
Who loves board games? I do! I've been to the one on Bathurst a tonne of times, but never to the one on college so I was excited to go to this one! We didn't get food but we did get a couple lattes and they were good! They came pretty fast after we ordered and who doesn't like fast service? However, service here is a bit scattered. Some people were really nice, and others not so much. Our main server, though I appreciate his efforts, was a bit much. When we asked him to explain a game, he held on to the deck of cards we needed after he explained, going over things not to cheat at or do. I think we're old enough to know how not to cheat! It was just a bit annoying. The people at S&L on Buthurst tend to ask you if you needed help looking for a game, but every single worker walked past me or avoided me when I was scanning the shelves, looking for a certain game. Maybe that's just how things operate there? Games are in great condition and their bathrooms are gender neutral. They have a wide selection too. Their menu is also pretty extensive, so I'd hope to go back one day to try their other food items.

Yelp
First time coming to this location and it was pretty similar to the one on bloor. This one seemed a bit bigger because it was quite empty when I went. Like the bloor location, there is a large selection of board games and the staff there were pretty friendly and helpful. It's $8 for unlimited play and they have a lot of food and drinks there as well. I got the mac and cheese which was $9.5 before tax. It was pretty good. Kind of small but still very filling. Would definitely go again to this location or any one of the other ones they have.
google avatar

Yelp
Visited just before the pandemic and discovered that the food isn't as good as it used to be :( Obviously still a great place, but will just do drinks (and maybe snacks) here from now on.
google avatar

Mariam B.

Yelp
Fun fun fun! Play for 8$ unlimited games and for the whole day! You could drink and eat too! (Optional). The red velvet cheesecake was a perfect dessert. The staff there are so fun to talk to. They could recommend games for you and they are ready to explain any game you choose. Great for groups of friends (so much fun) but it might get really loud especially Saturday night. I recommend the games: Catan and Sequence. Tried King of Tokyo.. it's ok but don't think will go for it again.

Yelp
Snakes & Lattes? What an awesome theme. When you walk in, a couple of the walls are lined with huge shelves that are completely full of board games. They have multiple of the more popular ones so that they don't run out during their peak times. The large group (my co-workers and bosses) that I came with had no trouble finding seating on a Friday morning around 10 a.m. I tried their vegan tofu breakfast sandwich, which is just a simple slice of tofu and some veggies with vegan mayo on an english muffin. For some reason, (my own fault) I expected the tofu layer to look like their tofu scramble; so I was a bit disappointed when it arrived. However, biting into it, it tasted pretty good. My co-worker said the tofu scramble he ordered was actually fairly bland/simple. I also got to try poutine for the first time - because they had the availability for vegan poutine! I believe they used tofu crumbles in place of cheese, and of course mushroom gravy. I found it to be kind of bland except for a couple bites. Maybe it was an uneven spreading of some kind of spice? I am not sure. I would come back again... but since I'm from California, I doubt I will be.

Yelp
Probably the best and most spacious Snakes & Lattes location! Board games are plentiful, of course, and very well organize. The place is kept really clean and staff are friendly. They come around to check on you every now and then in case you need anything and make sure you water is topped off. They also let you know when it's the last call for the night. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This snakes and latte is very big and brightly lit! We came here on a busy sat night. The server took down our info for the wait list and we were able to get a seat at the bar while we waited for a table. We were able to play games at the bar, which was good! They will send you a text when your table is ready. We ordered a slice of cake, which is supplied from Wanda's. They give a big slice and it was delicious. Drinks are yummy as well. The server recommended games for us, brought it over, and showed us how to play them. He was super friendly, which is a plus! Admission is $6.

Yelp
This place is so much fun! I love the board games and card game selections. There is literally something for everyone. We went for a friend's birthday and had a great time. The staff there are really knowledgeable and friendly. They even helped us pick a game and showed us how to play it so it was easier to start playing. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Just know its very busy on the weekends so expect a wait. A good majority of their walls are all covered in games so there is no lack of games or finding something you will like. The drinks here are very very strong! Be aware. I like my drinks fruity and not have to taste the alcohol taste. I ordered the fruitiest drink they had and it was still strong even for my husband he was surprised. You can ask to have it made lighter but it didn't really help.... The burgers here are amazing!! I was seriously blown away. I would seriously go here just to order the burger if I lived closer they are that good. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the burger was so juicy and the cheese was great. There is no complaints whatsoever. You have to try them. My friends order the chicken Caesar wrap and loved it as well. It was loaded so that every bite got some chicken and bacon, not like some wrap where you end up with a big bunch of bread. The cakes are really good. I had the mango cheesecake and it was amazing. I wish I knew where they ordered it from. The double chocolate cake is ok, nothing great about it. You could tell it had been sitting a couple of days. The only thing that threw me off was how their tip system worked. I guess being in Mississauga I wasn't use to being force to tip 18%. They tell you for groups of 6+ that they will put it on the bill, so we knew, but we didn't pay on one bill it was per couple, and they still put the 18% tip on all 5 bills. a Little surprised but I guess they have been ripped off before so they want to make sure their wait staff are cover. Other than that everything was great, I high recommend everyone come here at least once. You will enjoy it. Until next time XOXO, happy eats!

Yelp
Love the new-ish location. Much bigger which means a lot easier to get a table! I also like that they have lattes AND booze now. Good selection of games - with a guru walking around to give you suggestions or explain games. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Their menu is a bit small but seem to make things in house. Gets warm as well in here

Yelp
I am a board games nerd and an absolute fan of this place. The only thing I did not like about my visit is that I couldn't stay longer and time flies when you are playing board games in good company and in such a nice place. I really think that any board game you may want to play (6 bucks for playing as much as you want) - you can find it here, and the games/boxes are well taken care of. Lines and lines of shelves full of funny board games, nice coffee, nice service. The surprise of the evening was the cheesecake with strawberry topping - delicious too!

Yelp
Coming from NYC during our vacation, the amount of space this place has is mind-blowing! My husband and I came here twice during our week-long visit. The classic boozy coffees are phenomenal and totally something everyone should try. Their cocktails were okay-- not as good but still alright. The cider selection is very impressive however! I really appreciate how organized the games are-- sectioned off by type of game, then color coded by whether it's 2-player friendly, easy to pick up, intermediate, or for experienced players. My husband and I definitely fall into the experienced category, but we still had an absolute ball with some easier ones too! Finally, I loved all of our servers. Our first server in particular was amazing and even gave us this really awesome circus arts place to check out in Seattle for our next vacation later this year. (Thank you! We love you for that!) There are plenty of folks working there who will happily stop and help you learn how to play a new game. It's amazing. My friends from home are already planning our next trip up to Toronto so I can take them here!

Yelp
I love this place. I went last night with one other person and we had a great experience. I've honestly had staff be rude to me there in the past but last night everyone was extremely polite and friendly. Their food menu is constantly changing but there are always great vegetarian options (I'm veggie) and lots of drinks too. I didn't eat last night but I had a glass of their rose house wine and as a non-picky wine drinker, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was worried about going to a board game bad with just one other person because I thought it would be difficult to find games where you don't need a bigger group, but turns out they have lots of options for two people. And I love how when you're looking for a game, staff members always approach you to help you out. We ended up playing battle sheep, five second rule, scrabble and battle ship ( we got a little nostalgic with our choices at the end) and it was a great time. This place is great but always busy so if you're headed there on a weekend, expect to wait at least a half hour for a table.

Yelp
This place is great! Sure, it gets packed and it's difficult to find someone to help explain a game, but the place is buzzing with buzzed people trying to learn how to play new games and have a good time. What's not to love? The food is pretty standard bar food and it's greasy and great. Super enjoyable. The game selection is pretty varied (so bring the kids AND grandma if you want). I love that they have multiple copies of popular games, which makes it easier to hog an extra copy of Cards Against Humanity while your indecisive party argues over what to play first. Affordable fun for everyone. I'm into it.

Yelp
Huge selection of games, well organised. I had the mac and cheese with a cookie and ice cream for dessert, and both were very tasty. I was a little surprised at the price for food and drinks, but I'm told they are typical for Toronto, so can't complain!

Yelp
When you want to have a chill evening with friends that turns into raucous laughter as the evening goes on...come here! There are 2 locations but from what people tell me this one is less slammed than the Bloor location. It's huge - there are plenty of seats/tables and there is even bar seating if there are only 2 of you. The games are unlimited- feel free to grab a few and start playing. Don't know what to play or don't understand a game?? No worries- just call the game sommelier (official title- game master) and they will help you figure things out! It's $6 per person for the evening to play. There is a small pub fare type menu - several types of purine, Mac/cheese, burgers, fried chicken, coffees/tea and alcoholic beverages. The food is ok - nothing special - much cheaper than the food in the area. Do yourself a favor and spend a few hours here playing known games ( cards of humanity, Jenna, monopoly) or try new games (Anomia, let's build it) Ready, set, MATCH!

Yelp
I am a Stratego and a Dungeons & Dragons fan. The moment I stepped in there about a month ago, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was awesome and the concept was even more awesome. Had a latte and a sandwich, tasted amazing. Pleasant and helpful staff. The staff took time to explain whats in the cafe. Wish one of em came to Mississauga!

Yelp
Huge space, lots of games to choose from, many food options. I only tried their nutella latte, it was okay. The nachos looked good, so did their fries. Someone from our group got their mac and cheese which was a huge serving and looked pretty good!

Yelp
I can't speak to the quality of the food, and though the name suggests that it may only be board games and cafe-related fare, they do indeed have a full pub type menu, along with a long list of beers (including craft) with about 12 on draught. I enjoyed my Belgian citrus wheat beer, which had as good a pour as any quality bar. But first and foremost, I was here for the games. The place is huge, and I'd say there were comfortably a couple hundred people inside. And if you're worried that everyone might be scrambling for a few choice games, let your fears be subsided. They quite literally have several hundred games, and multiples of the most popular. I saw others playing Scatergories, and I was pleasantly surprised when they had another copy my table could pick up and play. If you're into any type of board game and spending hours with friends, you can pretty much do no better than here.

Yelp
Waited 1.5hrs on a Sunday afternoon for a table of 9. There's no time limit or reservations so it's unknown when you will be seated. After we sat down and placed our order it took 45mins for any food/coffee to even come to our table. When we paid the waitress did not inform us tip was included (18%) and some of us tipped 32% unknowingly. After wanting to complain our waitress disappeared to the point we weren't able to find her and we were stuck having to leave as service was not present at all. Would not return here.

Yelp
Was nice to just catch up in a place that wasn't to loud. But our server was very short. Anytime I asked for something we would always be while he was mid past us and he would finish my sentences and just turn away before I could get it out. He didn't seem like he wanted to serve us... so very sadly had a terrible experience.
