Don’t workout here. There’s plenty of other gyms in the area with a kind staff and a better overall environment. I almost turned around and left 60 seconds after entering this place for the first (and last) time because the staff was so rude about me not changing my shoes when I got there. Many of my friends have had similar experiences here. On top of that, the snap fitness in harmony, in cranberry, and the anytime fitness in mars all have a better layout with more and better equipment. If you have the option to go anywhere else, even if it’s using kettlebells in your basement, I would highly recommend avoiding this place.

The facility is very clean and safe. I also like the brand of machines that Snap Fitness uses. They are always in good working condition.The staff is always polite and helpful. Also they give you a one on one tour of the gm when you join.When I started there three years ago a trainer did a free assessment based on my needs, showed me what machines to use and how to use them properly. Another plus is I can use any Snap Fitness! Wish they had more locations out of state.I like to workout when I travel.

On Thanksgiving, I came in with a member and one other person. He would not let us pay the one time $20 guest fee and sign the release paperwork. He threatened to call the police. Somehow he knows I’m a recovering addict and he shouted at me to go “get some drugs” in front of all the other gym patrons. The owner Scott admittedly hates “Silver Sneakers” members because he doesn’t get paid enough for their memberships. He stayed open during the height of COVID 19 when it was illegal and he never required masks when it was the law. This guy only cares about money. He doesn’t care about the safety of his members and guests or their private information. He thinks he’s a bouncer at a bar. I highly suggest not patronizing this business.

The owner of this gym clearly has “roid rage” and should not be in charge of ANY business. He threatened to punch a guest because he tried to use the bathroom before changing his shoes. Avoid this gym at all cost

The female owner was one of the rudest people I have ever met, especially for a business owner. Don't waste your time.

Snap Fitness Mars has been a great place to workout!!! You can enjoy the neighborhood feel of a smaller gym. The new owner Bill, and his staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone seems to "know my name" kind of feel not only from the staff but the members as well. It's like an extended family. When I joined the gym, I wanted to work with a personal trainer to gain strength and get lean, (not to look like a body builder). This began my fitness journey at the end of September 2019, with Kyle Walters. Never did I ever say that I wanted to lose weight. However, with the proper nutrition, meal plans, training, encouragement and accountability from Kyle, I lost a total of 23 lbs and 15" off my body. This all the while as he increased my caloric intake 3 fold, added a cheat meal and drink once a week AND a piece of chocolate after dinner every night for 6 months. My positive results came just in time for a really special trip in February 2020, where I wore my swimsuit with confidence and I never felt better or looked better in my entire adult life. If you're looking for a trainer who is educated in the field of nutrition, health and gets real results out of his clients, then I highly recommend giving Kyle a call. If you're looking for a gym that offers a clean, fun environment then Snap Fitness Mars is for you.

Reading the negative reviews made me want to choke at the gross misrepresentation of facts. So you can believe what I am sure is the same disgruntled person who has written the negative reviews or me, another total stranger, but my recommendation is that you stop and in find out for yourself as then you will know which review is the accurate depiction of the place. The gym was clean before and now has more stringent and regular cleaning practices due to CDC recommendations. The towels are clean and changed regularly. This place is not promoted as a spa, it is a gym where equipment gets used for its intended purpose. There are not people there licking the equipment or people stacked on top of each other. The equipment is touched and sat upon and as a mature adult, if I or anyone had a concern about whether the equipment was cleaned after it was used by the last person, there is a stack of clean towels made readily available to grab and clean the equipment before it is used. The gym also has this stuff called soap and hand sanitizer that is also readily available to be used. Issue solved. The owner could not be a nicer man and I respect him for opening up his business as these small businesses need to be open to survive. Many positive upgrades have been made as well during the shut down: sound system, additional equipment, new window blinds and freshly painted walls. These were some of the things that were being done while the other reviewer was complaining about the trainer and members being let into the gym while it was shut down. It was people helping a small business owner plan for his reopening to enable his business to survive...not his being irresponsible and risking lives. The comment about the trainer also could not be farther from the truth. I am one of the many people that he has worked with and helped to lose over 75 lbs and become fit by healthy nutrition counseling an fitness training. He does not just train athletes and body builders, but women and men of all age groups and fitness levels who have various goals that they seek to achieve. I have met many of them and all have and are achieving fantastic results. No supplements, drugs or voodoo. He teaches people how to eat and live a healthy and fit lifestyle. So any comments that elude to anything nefarious going on is just a lie conjured up out of obvious ignorance of him, his credentials and what he truly does. So if you are looking for a positive environment where you will be known by name and the owner, staff and members are friendly, helpful and welcoming and where a sense of community has been built among regulars and newcomers alike, then this is the gym for you. Like anything in life, your experience in the place is what you make of it. Be friendly and you will find friendliness is returned. So maybe the person who had such a contrary view of this great gym, that is OPEN during this time for business, is reaping what they sow. Snap Fitness in Mars PA is without question the cleanest training facility I have ever experienced. The owner and staff take pride in their gym. From the friendly service to the quality of the equipment and most especially the relaxed environment where you don't feel awkward nor intimidated by the gym and its staff and members. The trainer is without question the best in the business. He is a certified personal trainer and nutritionist with a MS degree. He specifically adjusts your training to meet your goals be they professional athletes, fitness competitors, WPIAL or NCAA athletes or a life changing goal of self-improvement! I highly recommend joining Snap Fitness in Mars PA...you will not regret it!

If you are looking for a gym that is clean and has lots of equipment, this gym is perfect. The owner, Bill, cares about keeping the gym in good order and is friendly to everyone. The trainer, Kyle, can definitely help you with your fitness goals and get you on a great plan.

Very good place to work out! Clean, well equipped and friendly staff! Open 24 hrs. with security cameras and alarm. We needed to be in the Pittsburgh area as our daughter was having her first baby and we wanted to stay in shape over the visit. We contacted the gym owner and she set us up with a temporary membership that we could renew again when we returned for future visits. They have a large number of treadmills, elliptical machines, and weight machines. They also have a room that you can set up for a virtual workout with a large screen and number of work out routines that indicate what equipment is required from dumbbells to spinning equipment. They have a few trainers on staff that are available as well. The only down side is while they have free weights you may have to do some work arounds (for example they do not have a 15 lb. bar or when deadlifting they don't have 25 or 35 lb. weights that are the same diameter as a 45 lb. weight). This is very much offset by the accommodating staff and large selection of equipment and technology. OA 4.5

I love the friendly atmosphere of this gym. Everything is very clean and the staff are awesome! Bill, the owner does a stellar job at keeping his gym pristine. He routinely walks around cleaning the machines and vacuuming the floor to keep the gym nice. Reading through the negative reviews I'm wondering what gym this person was in?! I use the trainer there and he is amazing! I've lost over 30 pounds working with Kyle over the last three months. I go to this gym several times a week and I can tell you that most of the clientele there are not body builders, they are people that are working with Kyle to be fit and healthy achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. Kyle is a certified nutritional specialist and has several Masters and Bachelors degrees to back up his knowledge and many years of experience. If you can't top that level of education and experience, you have absolutely no business commenting on his job. I know many people who have worked with him over the years, so this is not my biased opinion. I'm basing this off of the results I've seen other people achieve through his expertise. I also wanted to add that the steroid accusation is almost comical. This person who is claiming this must not realize Kyle is Mr. Natural Pittsburgh!

Snap Fitness (in Mars) is my favorite place to workout and train! My husband and I drive from Shaler at least 3-4 times a week specifically because of the gym atmosphere, the owner Bill and for the gym's trainer, Kyle. I've been lucky to work with Kyle for about 10 years now and most of my family has trained with him as well (mom, myself, brother-in-law, etc.). Each of us had different goals and we have all achieved those goals thanks to Kyle (ALL NATURAL, all tailored to us as individuals). Overall, I live a happier and healthier lifestyle because of him. My goals are simple and not to mention I'm in the best shape of my life at 30 (including high school) once again because of Kyle. He's not just a trainer, he's a friend. Every time we walk in to the gym, it's a warm welcome from Bill (owner), Kyle (personal trainer) and other members. Bill is constantly vacuuming, cleaning and chatting with each member. He's always checking in on everyone, i.e. asking if we need the fans on or off, which may seem like a small gesture but it goes a long way. I once suggested to Bill to switch a cup holder on a leg press for easier use and the next day I went in it was changed! He always listens and asks for feedback. Overall, it has a wonderful atmosphere and I feel safe there. The space is also plenty big enough for everyone to spread out (not the case at other Snap Fitness gyms). Also, if a big group is there, they always respect the other members and you can even jump in with them! I love it because working out with others can be more fun. This place has become my safe haven and I'm grateful for it!

I like the fact that it is a smaller venue so I don't have to compete for equipment with Joe Power Lifter. Also, I see many friends there giving it a community feel.
