This local 'diner' serves up an all sorts of breakfast delights and some really really great lunch specials!! I was craving lunch and the husband was craving breakfast!! Perfect spot for us both. Waffle was super fluffy and bacon crispy! The meatloaf lunch special was enough food for two and has great flavors. Service was impeccable! Great local spot!

Reminds me of a place we have in Colorado, so personally I felt at home here. The service was great. The food was delicious. I would come here again and possibly bring my family with me. ❤️

Scott runs a fantastic restaurant. I didn’t try the daily special, but I may do so next time. The breakfast menu was solid with options for people who are on special diets. What I like most about the restaurant it’s a sense of community and interactions of customers with each other and the staff.

First time visit this local restaurant with 22 years history. Texas country style brunch with lots of options. We love the food with home and natural flavor! the service is nice and coffee fill up service is fast. food came out fast after ordered. Favorite is hash brown and waffles! Gravy is good too! You may wait a little at peak hrs as it is very popular. Would recommend to one who passing by this area or travel to Katy! Nice chat with the cashier 😊

This is a proper diner with great service and atmosphere. The food was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. The eggs, home fries, bacon and sausage were all great! All the staff are very friendly and the food came out very quickly.

For starters the service was great!! As soon as we were seated we were asked our drink order. Once we ordered, the food came out extremely fast and was very fresh. The restaurant has a very homey atmosphere. Without a doubt we will be back! If you are looking for a great waffle paired with speedy and spectacular service this is the place!

I've loved coming here, but their portion sizes have shrunk considerably within the last year or so, and prices have stayed the same. We really liked the Greek omelet. It used to take up the entire plate and come with extras, now it's nearly half the size since last time we stopped by. I wouldn't mind paying a little more if it meant I got the same amount of food. Friends and family who have gone out of their way to come here based on our recommendation told us that they left feeling unsatisfied. Compared to Sweet Paris and other breakfast spots closer to me, I can't justify spending more money and time for less of and lower quality food. This is all that I got for almost $90 just the other day when I ordered carry out: 3 Greek answer omelets, 2 sides of hashbrowns, extra pita bread, extra tzatziki, and a stack of pancakes. Apparently, you don't get any sides when you order their omelets anymore. Breakfast is a lot less enjoyable when you're getting nickel & dimed to death. I hope they change something soon for the sake of their regulars and new customers, but we won't be returning.

Was in town for training and got out for lunch. Needed something that I could eat while on the Carnivour diet and didn't want bbq again. Looked this place up in yelp and looked pretty promising. Walked in and was greeted immediately and told to sit where ever. I got a water and looked over the menu. The menu looked OK then I saw the keto breakfast and was Like YES! Asked tge waitress if they sold steaks and she said they had just taken the ribeye off the menu DANG! Anyway ordered the keto breakfast told her to keep the tomatoes and add another egg Sunnyside up. It came out pretty quick 4 eggs 2 beacon 2 sausage links and a piece of ham all for I think under 16 bucks Eggs were cooked correctly, bacon was crispy, sausage links were tasty l and ham was great. Meal was a solid 6 outa 10 hit the slot. Sorry forgot a picture‍

This is one of those hidden gems that the locals hide from you. Thank goodness my kids are locals!!! The inside of the place was of medium size but was packed with hungry people that seem to enjoy the big selection and massive menu, oddly enough, most people already knew what they wanted .. lololol.. the service was phenomenal- it seemed like only minutes before we were served . I can't say enough good things about this place except I wish they would open a restaurant near me !!! 1300 miles from Texas ! Even the bathroom left me with a smile . What great food, great service, great southern hospitality! Can't wait to go back! Yummmm!!!

Cute old school diner with decent food. I got 2 eggs with sausage links, proper meal. Toast wasn't hot enough so butter never truly melted and I was chomping away on cluster of butter. I did get to substitute with french fries ... but never got to them. It's a good amount of food with average price. Did also get coffee, diner style. love the mugs! People were great and attentive, coffee and water kept getting refilled. Will be back!

Cute little diner. The service is great. They are incredibly efficient in there. The servers all seem like they've worked there forever adding a cozy home feel and vibes to the place. The food was very good. They have a ton of breakfast and lunch items. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

This is 5 star diner food. We went and there was a line to get in. Most places it would be a hour wait, however it was 20 minutes. Service was what's expected at a diner. Soon as we sat they took drink orders and food orders. Ten minutes later we had hot smoking food on the table. All of our food was very good. It could have been a bit more fluff on the pancakes but they were still good. Would definitely go back.

An institution in Old Town Katy (Hwy. 90) for breakfast and lunch. I had been there years ago before going dove hunting and remember it being good. I took the wife recently (early December '24) wanting something that was not a chain restaurant for lunch and was happy. Food was good. Got my cholesterol up (LOL!) so that'll give my Dr. something to complain about. Only knock is the wait service was kinda slow, as there were only 2-3 ladies waiting on all the tables, however they were sweet and we weren't in a hurry. We'll be back.

I am never at loss for words when it comes to restaurant reviews so all can say is the chicken fried steak and eggs with golden hash browns was absolute perfection. Just forget all the boutique overpriced breakfast places and come here. Super friendly, attentive staff and be prepared to wait for a table. A true gem in Katy.

Little local Best Kept Secret hide away cafe in Old Katy. Snappy's has been around for a very long time and if you heard about this place or been here you are probably a local Katy person. Not to discourage any visitors the place is very welcoming and staff is super friendly. They have their daily lunch menu. Their Hamburgers are huge and delicious. Breakfast menu is traditional American and will beat any large chain restaurant. Plus the service is great. Waitress and staff members are very attentive walking around doing what they do best being friendly and cheering up the customers. So if you are in the local area of Old Katy check them out. As always support your local small businesses first!!

What a great local spot. Packed with happy people getting Sunday breakfast. Our service was great from start to finish. Ashley our server was happy, efficient and helped when asked what her fav breakfast was. I can't believe I hadn't tried this place sooner. Great diner type feel and food. Have to say that we need more places like this one. Loved it. Old school is best! Will for sure be back!

I'm new to the area, did a google search for "breakfast near me" and this gem came up in the results. I was not disappointed. I ordered the two eggs with country fried chicken, hashbrowns, and toast. I ordered in person for take out. The customer service was excellent and the inside of the cafe was very cute and clean. Order came out quickly! They were pretty busy for so early on a Saturday morning but when I got home and tasted my breakfast, I understood why!!! Everything was so delicious and fresh! That was the juiciest chicken breast I've ever tasted with perfectly crisp and crunchy batter or crust. The gravy was so good! They made my eggs and hashbrowns just how I ordered them. 5 stars all around! This will be my go-to weekend breakfast joint from here on out when I don't feel like cooking at the house.

Super quaint and fun Katy staple! If you are in the mood for good diner food, this is the place to go. You will find Katy memorabilia all throughout the place and you will see many regulars in attendance while you are there. The food might not blow you away, but it certainly hits the spot and fills your cup with nostalgia and southern hospitality.

Pancakes were mushy(cheap quality), hashbrowns were not salted at all. Service was good though. Don't plan on returning due to the food quality.

The service and food have gone way down hill in the last year or so. The server did not even see me sit down until another employee told her I was there even tho she walked right past me a couple of times. The food, my hash browns were cold and my patty sausage was burn. It's not the place it used to be, what happened?

This is our go to place for comfort breakfast food. We live close by and it's a fav spot to eat during the week. It does get pretty packed but wait has never been intolerable. Favorites: French toast, biscuits and gravy, omelettes

We've been coming to Snappy's for years, and for years it's been epically average. Good service and okay food. This restaurant has been an Old Katy staple for decades. It's outlasted many chain restaurants and will most likely continue to do so as long as the new owners stay on track. The staff is always friendly, but faces change about every year or so, which is sort of what you expect with most restaurants. There is almost always a wait regardless of what time you show up. There's never been enough room, but we make it work. All that said, I'll continue eat at Snappy's as long as they're around. While their food isn't gourmet, it's very homely as is the ambiance.

Restaurant was pretty busy, but service was still awesome! All the employees here are so nice and help each other constantly. Food came out quicker than expected and was super hot and great! Highly recommend.

Since I moved to katy almost 10 years ago Snappy's has been my favorite breakfast spot, providing great service, and a quality breakfast and respectable prices. Located in the heart of Katy, by the old rail road and city hall Snappy's is long standing breakfast and lunch restaurant that has been providing quality food to locals of Katy, TX. Since the first time I went till present day I haven't had one issue with food or service, everyone has always been kind and even when busy to do their best with checking back with updates on your food. Especially with many options to choose from, the different breakfast plates I or my family have tried have all tasted great and always recommend to other people. Even today all the places my girlfriend and I have been too Snappy's is always our first choice. Even days after church, if we are not making breakfast at home or to run errands we always try and go to snappys with its nearby radius. One thing I always personally enjoy eating is their pancakes, tasting fresh and being very big to share with another person, as well their biscuits and gravy with sausage or non sausage in the gravy. My mom has always liked their omelets and same for my dad. Even though its one location restaurant, it always great to know they have not ever changed their ways of food, and service, including seeing familiar faces that work there at Snappy's Somethings to also know, is they do provide order to go and have individual sit down bar if you are attending alone. Once you are inside it represents the heart of "Old Katy" with related decorations, advertisements of local small businesses in the area, while also being next to fellow small businesses of Katy. there is also plenty of parking around the building itself and normally quick service when you are sat down and the moment you are done. If you are curious about prices or details of their food menu options, their website provides an exact digital image of their full menu from breakfast to lunch options you may enjoy, as well as drinks too. If I was to compare it to other places it texas country diner type of environment. Just moving or visiting the area of Katy, I would say Snappy's is always a recommendation from me to try. Of course, busy days will have wait but it is all worth it and moves fast the times I have been. As well, when you now know to expect quality food, and great service. I hope whoever reads has great service there and plans to go back after their first visit to Snappy's.

Food: We've ordered the breakfast combo w hashbrowns & toast, country breakfast, deuces breakfast, and the chicken fried steak breakfast (all breakfasts we've had with either sausage & bacon) Delicious food each time, no complaints Service: fast, friendly & efficient service Would recommend and will continue to come back.

The worst pancakes ever... dry!! So dry that every speck of moisture in your mouth disappears. Add an egg/milk/butter, don't be scared to use real ingredients

I love this cafe!!! it's so cute & the people in there are always so amazing & helpful! Today i came in & ordered fried catfish ( which was too die for) eggs hash browns & toast! i love having catfish for breakfast & when i say they delivered! they got me right. it can get crowded in there very quickly so don't hesitate about ever going. you get a good amount for a great price! i'm not sure if they had music playing i was watching netflix since i was alone, but the ambiance is very welcoming!

Delicious breakfast with large portions. Everything is wonderful (pancakes, hash browns, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, grits, coffee, OJ). Classic American greasy spoon diner. So freaking fantastic. They even make scrumptious cakes and pies! Never been here for lunch, but I would bet the farm it's great. Salads, sandwiches, burgers, French fries, onion rings.... you can't go wrong. I don't mean to sound racist or presumptive, but I'll go ahead. Pro tip: if you're ever traveling and see a restaurant with a Greek flag or name - go there! You will not be disappointed. Greeks can freakin' cook! They are masters of the flat top grill. Good-looking people too, and smart. Stereotyping is usually wrong. My experience though is they always cook up good food whether it's a diner or Greek food or Burger joint and sometimes even BBQ. They know their shittikkii. Snappy's is definitely the best diner in Katy, TX and maybe the whole greater Houston area. Can't think of a better one.

Snappy's Restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat, down home breakfast. Lunch menu is excellent and everything I've had on 3 visits is outstanding. Old school diner. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. highly recommend it! I always feel welcome. The portions are generous, and the food is consistently good. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast or lunch you can't go wrong. Wish there was a Snappy's II in Cypress.

Overrated. Nothing special about this place. Not even the biscuits . I would go to Dennis or IHOP before I would go to snappys again.

Great service and delicious food. A local place that does not disappoint. it is always hot, fresh and tasty. The servers are friendly and always keep your drinks full. If you have not been, it is must eat place! Never had a bad meal, and it is our go to place for good, homestyle food!

Nice cafe tucked in away in Katy. Food was excellent. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Specialty are all the various breakfast offered. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Snappy's is a Katy icon. Been there forever. Food is just good, makes you feel like home. They have new owners and glad to not notice changes. My only complaint is the menu. There are so many local ads that the food gets lost amongst them. But that certainly ain't a deal breaker for me.

Usually, when I visit Snappy's the food and service is always great, but today was different. The coffee was cold, the food was not cooked to order, and the ambiance was horrible as the smell of dog filled the room. Dogs should not be allowed in places where food is being served. Not everyone wants their dining experience ruined by an animal. Do better, Snappy's.

Ok so I wasn't going to go buy I called a breakfast Togo order for me and my son's Chicken Fried Steak and Complete Breakfast. Greetings from the cashier was great made me feel more than welcome! Then they are so polite one of the diners got up just to say" Don't let her pay for that put it on my tab!" I was like where have y'all been all my life! I thanked them both and he even hurried to go prop the door open for me and the boys! Ok! A room full of GENTLEMAN. The food surprised me, it was right on the map of downtown Katy delicious! I was two second from going to another place but something kept me in that parking lot and I glad. Everyone who passes by please stop and eat your heart out!

Great breakfast this morning! I order the veggie omelette with home fries (cubed potatoes) and my husband ordered the Biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were a little too dry for our tastes but everything else was good. Service was great and we will be back to try other items off the menu.

This is a local diner. Picture in your mind what that looks like. That's this place. Lots of locals and packed. We came in with a party of 16, and they were able to accommodate us. They forgot items, but we were a table of 16. When the missing items were pointed out, they arrived quickly. I believe we ordered just about everything on the menu, and all of the food was slightly above average. I had the bacon, egg and cheese taco. It was OK. My wife had a vegetarian taco, which was good. The other 14 left satisfied with no complaints.

My husband and I have gone for breakfast from time to time to Snappys but it seemed like it has gone downhill with cleanliness They have a new owner and we witnessed the cleaning lady with a fly swater killing flys on the tables and window then cleaning the tables off with the dirty rag. That made us sick because flys land in feces and old nasty food. Told the owner and she apologized. Our new restaurant in Katy is Southern Dough Great food and very clean.

Old-skool diner. Ordered the Super Omelet. It did not disappoint. They were really busy, so I wish I could have specified hash browns in the omelet rather than country potatoes. Had a side of pancakes, which were nothing special...but I like palcakes...so I ate them. I would like them to be a little fluffier, perhaps with some flavor. Real butter would be a huge upgrade...also, "first world problems". Bottom line, you won't leave hungry.

Great lunch and service at Snappy's. Chicken and dumplings, fried catfish, Lima beans, okra and tomatoes, corn and green beans, cornbread, lemonade, iced tea. A meal for two for $25. The meat and three Texas tradition continues. And we have left overs for supper.

No longer the same Snappy's. Food quality has gone down. Cleanliness is awful. Dirty menus, dirty tables; they don't even have the same waitstaff. Big turnover in employees and the cook is not the same which in turn affects the food quality. The new management has lost the vision that Snappy's use to have. We will no longer patronize this establishment after going there for 10 + Years.

We've only been to this restaurant once or twice, but each time the food has not been good, and some of the customers seem to be put out when sharing the restaurant with those who do not look like them. Not recommended.

Food, service and ambiance were amazing. The place felt like home cooking with a huge complement of love. The entire staff works hard at making things work and also at caring for each other. Would highly recommend to come by if you are ever close to this place. Our waitress "Gabby" was amazing.

A great brunch! We came here after church and it hit the spot! Eggs were cooked perfectly. Hashbrowns crispy. Bacon Crispy. Everything was great, quality food with good service. We had to wait maybe 3 minutes to get seated, but it was worth it.
