I've stopped in this place twice, and had an excellent experience both times!
I don't think I would have noticed Snapshot if it hadn't been for their huge streetside tent setup, which is actually much larger than the inside bar area itself.
The beverages:
- I've had several pints of their IPA (can't remember the name), and it was an excellent West Coast-style beer. I'm often skeptical of getting beer from nano breweries, but it's clear whoever is brewing this beer knows what they're doing.
- I love that they have a selection of beers, ciders and wines from other spots. One of the biggest traps small breweries fall into is only serving their own beer, which can fluctuate considerably based on storage space and brewing capacity. By having a great selection of partner beverages, they'll keep me coming back even if they don't have their IPA, or a house-made beer available. I particularly love that they have June Shine kombucha and Montucky!
The location:
- Outside service in Seattle this time of year can be really tough with the cold. Snapshot have done a great job of keeping their outdoor space protected from wind, as well as providing small flame-based heaters on the tabletops, and heat lamp lighting. You'll still need to bundle up to stay warm, but it's a much better outside setup than a lot of nearby breweries. I love how much seating there is.
The staff/service:
- Everyone I've interacted with has been really pleasant. The first time I came in, I'd accidentally come before they were even open, but they still served me and made me feel welcome.
I'm excited to try additional beers from Snapshot, and glad to know that I can rely on them for excellent service, and a nice spot to get some laptop work done when I need to escape my apartment!
