The 13 Best Restaurants, Bars, and Cafes in Sisters | Eater Portland

"This drive-in has been around for over 60 years. While it’s called a drive-in, this is not fast food. Every burger, order of fries or onion rings, and shake is made to order. If there’s a long line, it might be good to inquire how long is the wait for cooked food (it can take over an hour when crowded). But at Sno Cap, the homemade ice cream is equally the star with standard flavors and specialty treats like giant scoops of bubble gum, Oreo cookie, Espresso Madness, Maple Nut, Death by Chocolate, and more, all served in a dish, or plain, sugar, or waffle cones. Specialty thick milk shakes include black raspberry, Creamsicle, huckleberry, peppermint cupcake, and more." - Barb Gonzalez

Growing up in Portland if you were traveling to Bend, staying in Black Butte, or just wanted the best burger in Oregon you had to stop by Sno Cap in Sisters. This legendary institution continues to serve locals and tourists the best old school style burgers, shakes, and ice cream around. If there is a wait, do not let it stop you. Through the years the prices may have gone up, but the quality has remained the same. 10/10 🍔 🍦

As soon as you enter the main stretch through Sisters, you can’t miss the Sno Cap Drive in. This place has to have been here for 40+ years and still serves up amazing burgers, fries/tots and super delicious milkshakes, traditional diner style. Pre-COVID you used to be able to walk in and place an order and they had a few booths inside with a big menu to view. Now they operate out of a window for placing orders which is simple and straightforward. Once your food is ready, a nice team member from their staff will come out to bring you your order. They have amazing BLT’s with Nice crispy toast and fresh lettuce and tomatoes to compliment the real deal bacon, no super thin cut crap like some other sandwich/burger places make the excuse of calling bacon. They can even add extra bacon to anything you order for a few for bucks. They do fries or Tots which is always fun and even Onion rings too! They can do you a single patty, a double patty or even a triple patty burger if you’re feeling hungry and they also have grilled mushrooms which are on their mushroom swiss burger, if you like that. This place is old school in a good way and a hot spot for lunch/dinner with locals and travelers passing through town on a weekend. I highly recommend you make a stop to the Sno Cap Drive In for a delicious meal and an amazing milkshake for dessert! Thank you for reading my review and Happy Dining!

My husband and I were just visiting and he picked this place and we were so happy he did! The hamburgers tasted homemade and so did the french fries which I tend to be picky about. We also ordered an ice crea, a milkshake and we’re not disappointed! We also came with dogs and they had a water bowl outside for them. Also one of the employees came out and offered ice cream to our dogs and it was a BIG one! Overall everyone was nice and it was an amazing experience!

Love this place. We thought they had shut down last time we drive through- about 3 years ago. But we were very excited to see that it's still there!

July 2nd quilt show. The place was busy. Great ice cream and shakes. Take away shakes to drink on the way home! Great Mike shake! Home made ice creams. The shake was thick and delicious. It's hard to beat. I drove along way before finishing the large shake I had purchased. I will definitely go there again and again when visiting our friends in Redmond. They had food items but we didn't have time do eat any. Maybe next time or maybe just a milkshakes will be enough for us! Come by and enjoy your own made to order shake.

Pretty tough experience here. The staff serving were bringing wrong orders out pretty often within the time we were there. When mine came out, it was wrong, before I could tell the server it was fine, he asked to see my receipt showing what I ordered and then turned around and left. When he returned with my correct order I thanked him but he just walked away. On top of that, the soft serve had no flavor. It didn’t taste sweet, or like vanilla. Actually tasted like soft serve milk. Kinda odd. Anyway, won’t be back.
