Google
The best place for snowy shaved ice-cream in North Austin IMO. Recently they have also added vegan and pure ice snow to the menu to get closer to vegan friends, also the waffles. I haven't tried the waffles yet but they look delicious from other reviews though. For vegan friends, the vegan stuffs were out when I was in store today, so you're better call before coming. Seems like those are popular :) Due to the pandemic, the snow is served in plastic to-go boxes instead of the fancy dishes. that may not be eco friendly but safe for all of us, so please don't hesitate ^^! We have been overcoming this pandemic together. The staffs are always nice and taking my order patiently whenever I'm there. Highly recommended. That's a good place to bring your young kids too, they will love it!

Google
Looking over the menu there was so much to choose from and all sounded so wonderful as I ended up going with the vanilla waffle with whipped cream and Oreo bits including fruity pebbles alongside chocolate sauce plus chocolate chips while my friend got the Oreo bits waffle with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The service was excellent as the place could have used a wipe down on the area but the experience was very pleasant and relaxed. Definitely love my first time here and would love to sample more products from here.

Google
My wife and I came in to try out the snow cream ice, I ordered the Mango favor with pudding and strawberry with taro for my wife, it is delicious creamy shaved ice, will be back soon!

Google
Great little shaved ice shop. The tea has good flavor and won't oversweeten by default. The shaved ice is in Taiwanese style with it layered in sheets rather than crushed like in Hawaiian shaved ice. The texture is a little hard, not quite as fluffy as could be but generous with the toppings.

Google
I’ve never left disappointed. Each of the shaved ice flavors are amazing. The prices are reasonable and the serving sizes are quite generous. Pictured is the matcha shaved ice. I also highly recommend the taro and strawberry shaved ice. SnoMo is the perfect dessert spot and I’ll definitely continue going.

Google
Always great. We got the icy fruit. The shaved ice bed gets syrup of each fruit you choose. Fresh fruit then a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Last a topping off with sweetened condensed milk. Kid got coffee shaved cream and oreos! Nice!

Google
What To Order: Taiwanese Ice. Its an item I first came across in Houston's Bellaire Chinatown. Its thin shaved ice cream, with a base that is more water than milk in comparison to American ice cream. The shaved ice cream melts in your mouth as its paper thin and piled up. You top it off with a selection of fruits, or gelatin, and then a syrup of your choice. My favorite syrup is always the condensed milk. The picture attached is from a few visits back, I tried the Thai Ice Tea flavored ice cream, with condensed milk on top, and some egg custard on the side. It was pretty good, a change from vanilla I usually order when I find a new place with Taiwanese ice. I will return to this location again, as the menu offers some interesting items including waffles with toppings. They offer quite a few flavors of Taiwanese ice. If you've never had this before you have to try it. It may be your new addiction.

Google
One of my favorite spots for a cold treat around Austin. Taiwanese ice (what they serve here, among other things) is a truly unique experience. I always get the Thai tea ice with mochi, sweetened condensed milk, and brown sugar syrup. It's truly excellent. Plus they have complimentary ice water in the summer and barley tea in the winter.

Yelp
What a treat! We got a giant Thai tea shaved ice with a condensed milk drizzle. The drizzle is generous but it's only on top, so I recommend asking for a chill with more. The Thai tea flavor was scrumptious! It was under-sweetened so it tasted bland on its own but it's the perfect base for adding toppings and not making the dessert too sweet. 4 stars for toppings cost. I wanted to add fruit but it was quite overpriced. BYOF maybe? Note: lack of topping stocks is NOT something to blame the business for. Shops all over the country are facing hiccups in their supply chains.

Yelp
Such a perfect treat during the summertime! The sno ice is flakey and light. There are many flavors to choose from, I like coconut and strawberry. The fruit toppings are fresh and there's a wide selection plus puddings, jelly, and boba to add. I love the drizzle of condensed milk they add for sweetness. IMO the size small container is a huge serving, could serve 2 ppl, what a value! Thai tea boba drink is yummy as well. The inside is clean and brightly lit. Service has been great! It's located in a little strip mall with plenty of parking.

Yelp
Since I am deprived of having a snow shop where I live, I was stoked to find SnoMo in Austin. At first, I tried to go to their SnoMobile on Rainey Street first but it was nowhere to be found. Apparently they have different hours and close earlier (I believe 7pm). I was on a snow-hunt at this point and decided to go to their brick and mortar shop on Lamar. It was worth the drive and every single penny! It is such an amazing dessert shop where you can not only get Taiwanese style shaved ice ("sno"), but also bubble tea and even waffles! I was there for the sno, so that's what I focused on. It was hard to decide which flavor since they have so many options, so I decided to order tiny sizes and try four different ones: coffee, horchata, mango and watermelon. They were all so delicious, I cannot possibly pick a favorite. The topping selection is also great, from condensed milk to tapioca and m&ms. Sno is like sweet, airy, feather-like ice flakes. It's a great summer dessert, it's super yummy and relatively healthy. They have an estimated calorie list rotating on their screens. I was very impressed by the health & safety precautions they have during this time. I ordered it to go so the portions were the same all across the board (Very generous!). The toppings were placed in individual containers as well. Their marketing is super cute and witty as well, the t-shirts they have for purchase are funny.

Yelp
Ordered the large size to split between 4 people. The ice was light and fluffy and the condensed milk really added the sweetness I was looking for to the dessert. Toppings that we got were all pretty standard- nothing spectacular but nothing bad. Would come here again if I wanted shaved ice.

Yelp
We needed a change to our ice cream dessert routine, which is why we decided to try out SnoMo. If you are a vegan, you can order the Vegan Ice or the Pure Ice. In addition, they use dairy-free creamer in their milk teas! Unfortunately, they don't provide an option to reduce the sugar in the drinks. For their ices, you can order a "Tiny" or "Small", I'd recommend a Tiny. I ordered the Taro Sno Ice with Egg Pudding, and a drizzle of condensed milk. The Taro Sno Ice is literally a creamy, shaved ice version of the milk teas, while the Pure Ice is more like a snow cone with syrup. If you can, go for the Sno Ice, and pass on the Pure Ice. Wishing the Sno Ice used a dairy-free creamer for those who can't have dairy!

Yelp
I like this place, they do have a good product. However the are skimpy on portions and toppings. I literally got 4-5 tiny pieces of strawberries... this was my first time here since pandemic and unfortunately size and amount change was noticeable. I did not see any sanitizer around counter or anywhere else, good thing I had my own. Maybe I will go back and have a better experience.

Yelp
First time and my hubby and I ordered the sweet rice and the waffles. The sweet rice was amazing and not too sweet. The waffles were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside the. I had mine lightly drizzled with the sweet condensed and chop ate syrup. I also topped mine with banana and strawberry. The fruits was ripe and not mushy. Next time we're in area we will definitely stop in for a sweet treat :)

Yelp
First off, the staff were a bit rude and short whenever I was looking at the menu and ordering. As for the drink, the boba was stale and had a slimy outer film. The mocha latte tasted bitter and watered down. This place lacked very much in terms of boba drinks, but the rest of their items look absolutely amazing, so as much as I hated the boba, I'm curious about their other items.

Yelp
My friend and I were in the mood for some post-dinner sweets, and seeing as the summer heat/mugginess is making its return to Austin...why not SnoMo? Service that day was awesome. The two young gals working there were so friendly even though we were literally the last few customers to place orders before closing. Shoutout to the two Latinas holdin the fort down! I see y'all working hard! I ordered the milk tea snow ice with boba and mochi toppings. If you check in with yelp, you get a few cents off a topping, which is a nice way to get me to buy another topping. Suave, SnoMo. Suave. The small size is enough. Trust me. I was able to finish it all, but that's because I'm a tank when it comes to desserts. The toppings quality was alright, but the snow ice was soft and flavorful! Great job on that front! The milk tea was very subtle. I had a taste of my friend's strawberry ice and it was very noticeable, but not overly so. The mochi didn't have the QQ chewy texture that I love my mochi's to have. Ditto with the boba. However, in all my snow ice concoction was delicious. I can't wait to have it again. It's hard out here in Austin! TLDR: SnoMo is my go-to Asian dessert spot in Austin as of yet. For the price you're paying around $5 or more, you get a huge portion of snow ice AND strong wifi. It's such a great spot for hangouts and after dinner sweets. I would 100% come to SnoMo instead of grabbing subpar boba in Austin!

Yelp
I drove here after finding their Instagram and having enticing pictures. When I came in there was no one in there. I ordered the sweet rice not knowing what to expect, ended up basically being sweet rice "oatmeal". The snow ice ended up being larger than expected. Staff wasn't the friendliest. Everything was okay. I don't think I'd come back.
google avatar

Gloria L.

Yelp
I tried their shaved ice: Thai tea flavored, lychee popping boba and mochi toppings, and condensed milk drizzle. The condensed milk is what made my dessert taste really good! Without it, I don't taste much flavor. I ordered the large size, this could feed 3-4 people. I also had a few sips of other drinks my friends had, both milk tea and fruity tea. The teas leave a strong, bitter aftertaste, as if the tea has been steeped for waaay too long. Imo, good tea is bitter but still fragrant. What I tasted was overcooked leaves. I don't think any of my friends finished their drinks.

Yelp
Snow monster serves Taiwanese shaved ice, which is just regular ice that's finely shredded into a little mound on a bowl. Once the mountain of ice is made, it's topped with puddings, jellies, fruits, or other kinds of boba. The parking here isn't too bad, but you'll have a hard time during lunchtime since a ton of people want to eat at the pho restaurant nearby. I had the Thai tea shaved ice. The Thai tea shaved ice itself was sweet, but the toppings that Snowmo offers are a disappointment. I only had pudding and jellies because the fruit on display looked absolutely terrible. The fruit look as though they were the fruit equivalent of being depressed, about to get moldy, or no longer firm. I'm all for healthy eating, but the fruit options snow monster offers are produce I wouldn't dare eat. I would recommend this shaved ice place if you're looking for a shop that offers Asian desserts. But I prefer Korean bingsu.

Yelp
I love this place!! Best Taiwanese shaved ice I've had in Texas. It's such a gem!! They used to have almond flavored shaved ice and that was my favorite but they got rid of it this summer :( I love their stamp system. I've gotten so many free shaved ice with the stamps. I even redeemed a SnoMo T-Shirt recently. A size tiny fluffy ice is enough for one person. The "small" is actually better fitted for 2 people. Tip: they also have Boardgames you can rent out to play while you're dining in. I always play Jenga when I'm there. I come during the evening to avoid the crowds

Yelp
Yes! Absolutely! The Boba Teas, Snow Waffles, and the Snow Ice are soo good! The customer service as well was amazing! Very friendly and helpful! I definitely recommend, and will be back ourselves!

Yelp
Heard great things so had to give it a try! The Pros: - lots of flavors - pretty large serving sizes - tasty The Cons: - can get pretty busy! - a little hard to understand how to order the first time and what your options are - a little expensive I ended up following a friends recommendation and ordered the taro ice with condensed milk and it was so good!
google avatar

Yelp
What a huge letdown. I wonder if this place used to be good and has since gone downhill, because I don't see how else it could be so overrated. - It was early afternoon and they were out of a whole bunch of ice flavors, fruits, and toppings. Taped to the counter there was a long handwritten list of all the things they were out of--almost as if they weren't planning to restock. - Even if you're eating in, your shaved ice is served in a flat, rectangular takeout container with the snow in one corner and all the "toppings" just dumped on the side. What the hell, guys? They're called toppings for a reason! If you're going to serve eat-in orders in takeout boxes "because of COVID" (which is the most B.S. cost-cutting excuse anyone can still be using in June of 2021), at least get some of those round bowls with domed lids and assemble your desserts the way they were meant to be. - There was a total of maybe two strawberries in the whole dessert, and they were chopped extremely lazily and unevenly. I had to cut the big chunks into smaller pieces with my spoon and distribute them over the ice myself. - The store reeked of bleach. Does anybody enjoy eating dessert while smelling chlorine? - Their card processor was down and they were only accepting cash orders. - No music + no other customers = very awkward eat-in experience. It was just us, one employee, and no ambient noise. We felt we had to whisper while eating. The only reason I'm even giving SnoMo two stars is that the snow itself was decent (but by no means perfect--it wasn't all that creamy and it had a slight crunch). Update: The owner's response blaming COVID and "people who refuse to get vaccinated" only adds to my disappointment.

Yelp
ohhh my goddddd... This place was sooooo damn amazing! The prices are reasonable and the toppings/ice is top notch!!! Seriously on par with a lot of milk/ice places in Houston. If you are craving dessert after a meal, this is the spot to be! Especially on a hot day, there's nothing like a mound of flavoured ice! The honeydew was sublime and the lychee boba/jelly was dope. Will be back to indulge again for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
If you've never had snow ice (or shaved snow), get here! I don't know of any other place in Austin that has it, but I sure loved the stuff at places in CA. Snow ice is like creamy shaved ice - it's essentially like shaved ice cream and it's delicious. Especially with loads of condensed milk drizzled over it! There's a good variety of flavors to choose from. I do find that the strength of the flavors seems to vary sometimes though. The Thai tea flavor is probably my favorite so far, again with lots of condensed milk. If you don't do dairy, they now have a soymilk-based variant with a few different flavors in addition to shaved ice. There are also a good number of toppings to choose from, but they can be little bit on the pricy side, especially the fruit. If you're thirsty, they have milk tea, but I generally prefer other places for it. Not too shabby though. If you like desserts, I'd highly recommend visiting! And don't forget to get a stamp card!
google avatar

Azelia L.

Yelp
Kinda rachety part of the strip mall and the shaved ice was really dense and icy (not light and fluffy and creamy like it's supposed to be). Granted, we got a vegan flavor so maybe that was why it was subpar but honestly it was so not worth eating that we didn't finish half of the small we ordered. Also they got our order wrong so that was a bit of a bummer too
google avatar

Katy L.

Yelp
My 3 kids loved it - Ordered a strawberry sno large. Glad there was some seating outside since my kids can't be vaccinated at this time. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Grabbed a bubble tea with it and enjoyed that too. Easy with ApplePay. Will be back! Liked they have vegan options too and hope to bring my friends.
google avatar

Dominique E.

Yelp
I may have ordered the wrong thing, but it is absolutely inedible. It is straight ice with strawberry syrup that is so sweet it's hard to enjoy. I would recommend a milk based if you get the snow ice or just stick to the drinks
google avatar

Shey K.

Yelp
It was a really nice atmosphere. Well there was one helpless man running it. And a woman who knew she was doing, on her phone. You could see that the man was new and probably needed more support. The woman was too busy on her phone and after a while the man asked for help and she came and helped very briefly. My boba was not cold, but my family's was. actually. It was ice cold. Just the surface wasn't.
google avatar

Yelp
Sooo goooood!! A definite must try if you love Asian desserts! Anything with mangoes or matcha is a must!
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Have you ever had a sno cone experience in Hawaii? This is very similar. I'm sold. Minus the ocean, sand, Waikiki strip...it's just like Hawaii! But seriously -the one I had was a mango ice with real mangos, cream, AND mochi. It's the soft, light ice by the way. We also got a punch card. I live for punch cards!!! The girl at the counter was semi rude & seemed annoyed at first but once she realized I had never been there she was pretty helpful. In her defense I do ask 100 questions. Always. My son & I sat in the car silently, as we were furiously devouring our sno cones until there was nothing left but the container. I might actually want another one right now. Stay tuned.

Yelp
This is my favorite desert place in Austin SO FAR. I am always craving korean bingsoo and this is the closest thing I can find in Austin, BUT it is really good for desert and to hangout! I love their fruit flavored snow especially strawberry. For toppings, nothing can go wrong with their tapioca :-) other personal-favorite flavors are matcha, taro, and milk tea~ try all and mix-n-match!! There is this really nice employee that is super friendly and helpful!
google avatar

Kong L.

Yelp
Not bad! Not bad! Not bad! It was my first time here and I had a great experience! The customer service was excellent. Everyone was really kind and patient, especially with a menu that takes time to understand. There are so many options so do not rush when you place your order. If it is your first time (like me), do not be afraid to ask questions so that you get what you really want. I got the shaved ice (I think it was the multi fruit option) and topped it with kiwi. It tasted like a light fruit punch. It was delicious! I could only imagine what the other flavors tasted like. Although, it was good; I wished that there was an extra kick to it. I expected it to be more fruity and tart. The place was filled when we arrived on a Monday night but there are plenty of space to sit. A fantastic and light option for dessert!
google avatar

Geoffrey C.

Yelp
Empty around 8/9pm on a Saturday night. Perhaps it was still a bit early for people getting dessert. The first thing that hit me when I entered was the smell of bleach/cleaning products. At least you know this place is clean? Variety of desert, but of course my friends and I were here for the shaved ice. Combinations are endless, but I settled on the taro with mochi. Portions are pretty huge so you can easily split a small with another person. Overall a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth.
google avatar

Samantha Y.

Yelp
I loved the matcha snow! It had the perfect amount of matcha flavor and wasn't too overpowering. The only thing that was a bit off putting when I came here was that there was a weird smell all throughout the place... it seemed like the air inside was stale somehow and there was no ventilation
google avatar

Yelp
We moved to Austin last year and this is a place close to our temp living location at that point..!! My wife had ventured into the area and bookmarked the place..she wanted us to try it together.. That was last year & after multiple visits to this place.. It has become one of our go to places for sweet cravings in N Austin..!!! Austin is hot in summers & this place finds you that perfect & fresh solution to kicking off Austin evenings.. They have so many combos.. Drive yourself nuts.. Prices are very reasonable for the quality they offer.. The staff is colorful & perky.. Never a dull moment.. The place is frequented by a lot of students.. The vibe very "loungy" but casual...!! You have to try this out if you are in Austin.. There's so much more my reviews can't describe.. I'll leave it for you to experience..!!

Yelp
The possibilities are endless so I have to go with five stars. There are so many amazing flavor options, milk-, soy-, and water-based treat options, toppings galore, syrups galore, you name it! There are even boba teas and smoothies! I could have had most of these, so choosing just one flavor was a challenge. I love almond-flavored things and have never seen that flavor anywhere so I went with a small almond snow ice topped with almond pudding and regular mochi plus sweetened condensed milk. Toppings range from 69-99 cents and I got 35 cents off one with a yelp check-in. All syrups are free! Eric R. and I met Rebecca R. and Asher L. for our dessert double date, and they have enough marital compromise to share the same flavor! They shared a peach snow ice with peach syrup, pecans, and chocolate chips (large size). Eric R. got a small creamy milk snow ice with rainbow mochi and strawberry syrup. My whole dish was essentially white, so I suppose I could have done better with color. However, the taste was great. It was flaky but soft and the flavor was delicious! I could definitely try the matcha and Thai tea flavors next. I asked if they had matcha syrup because I think that would have been perfect on my almond concoction, but alas, it was not one of the 18 flavor choices of syrups :) Rebecca R. also noted the very fun Halloween decorations in this cute little place. Bus your own tables. I will return and soon become a snow monster!
google avatar

Quan T.

Yelp
The snow desserts here are perfect for a hot and muggy summer day. I got the "Icy Fruits" which had plain snow topped with fruit purée, fruit chunks, condensed milk, and a scoop of ice cream. It was delicious and refreshing - and I'll tell myself it's healthy due to the fruit :) Though I have to say I found it slightly too sweet.... I would definitely request half or a quarter as much condense milk next time. The ice cream was ok - not bad but nothing special either. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to beat the Austin summer heat. Better than the average snow cone! Oh and they gave me some ice on the side for my doggies. Good people!
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
What the hell is snow ice? Snow monster still has me puzzled but it was definitely a must try at least once. Snow ice is very light and fluffy Taiwanese dessert. A small bowl of the soy snow yields only 154 calories before toppings. A great filling lower calorie options for the healthy conscious who want to satifiy their sweet tooth. I ordered the soy ice which uses soy milk instead of regular milk. I have dairy issues so I am always careful on my dairy intake. This limited the flavor that I could get so I decided on good old vanilla. I added freshly cut mango and chocolate chips to the mix. I thought the soy ice left an aftertaste and not very rich. My husband ordered the chocolate snow ice with pecans and tapioca. He loved it and said he would get again. I did like the chocolate flavoring and thought it was definitely more flavorful. One thing to remember here is a small is pretty big. You can easily share with someone else if you wanted. Some people don't like to share ice cream so I get that! Haha if you have a large group I would recommend getting a large. Also they have free water to drink. It is self serve with mugs.
google avatar

Linda N.

Yelp
Their matcha milk tea is too powdery, even when mixed vigorously, but overall has decent flavor. The only thing that bothered me most was ordering shaved ice to-go (I live 1 minute away - no issue with time travel). The female employee put boiling hot boba from the crockpot into the clear container with my shaved ice. It might've been fresh boba or just how hot they keep it in their pot. When handed over to us, the section where the boba was sitting at in the corner would hurt you if you were holding it on that end. I'm not kidding. If it was too hot to handle or too hot to sit with shaved ice to-go, I wouldve appreciated her asking me if I wanted the boba separate.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Mango shaved snow was pretty good. Wish the toppings were chopped a up a bit more and the strawberries did not look that fresh. They looked like they were about to go bad actually. The cashier overcharged us by $10 and we had to request a refund. Bathroom is disgusting.
google avatar

Edgar R.

Yelp
Cute place and cool concept, but my experience wasn't great. Customer service was pretty bad. Went on Labor day at 9pm. We walked up to place our order and the employee failed to greet us or ask us what we would like to order. He just stared without saying anything. We ordered a bobba milk tea, but received a plain milk tea without bobba. Also ordered a watermelon flavored ice cream, but didn't really taste like watermelon. Wasn't bad tho. A little pricey too.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
This place has been one of my favorite desserts in Austin for years. I always get a snow ice with various toppings. So refreshing and delicious!
google avatar

Karen T.

Yelp
The staff is super friendly every time. They are pretty fast, they are awesome! Best Thai tea in the area, not too sweet like others. My sister enjoys the mango smoothie, she prefers it over all the other boba places nearby as well! 10/10!
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
For Austin, this is the only shaved snow ice available. With that, unfortunately, it's pretty pricey but worth the treat once in awhile. If one never had shaved snow ice before, just do it. There's nothing like it. The snow ice is so fluffy and flavorful. Choose Taro or the traditional Creamy Milk ice flavor. A small with two toppings is good for two. I've had mango, strawberries, tapioca boba egg pudding, condensed milk all before. Be aware of the fruit season to avoid sour fruits spoiling the ice cream. Also have many other options for smoothies and drinks so I still highly recommend to take a group since there's other options. If just drinks are preferred though, go to the bigger variety Bambu across the street in Chinatown. Hope one opens down in South Austin for the shaved snow ice though!

Yelp
I have been here maybe a half dozen times, and I love great food items. The atmosphere etc. here is nothing amazing. Its just a little strip shopping center unit in the vicinity of an Asian market. What I love here is the unique frozen treats they sell. It isn't ice cream, and it isn't shaved ice (per se). The texture is reminiscent of the Hawaiian Shave Ice I used to get at Matsumoto's in north Oahu. Its very finely shaved, and it is frozen things like Almond Milk (my favorite). So if you can picture finely shaved almond milk, in a bowl. I have mine topped with sweetened condensed milk (a must), fresh strawberries, and sliced bananas. It is just about my favorite summer time frozen treat. They have many other flavors, and familiar, as well as strange, toppings.

Yelp
The most exciting ice cream experience evarrrr. The flavor of the mango ice was incredible and just perfectly sweet but still natural and paired perfectly with the strawberries and lychee jelly. We all ordered smalls and they were the size of your face! We will be back. A lot.
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
Snow ice tasted excited like home (hi I'm Taiwanese). I visited Snow Monster twice last week and the happiness I allowed myself to devour in definitely reflected on my weight gain but I have no regrets. My sister is visiting from San Jose this week so I'll be back very soon. Pure Ice (剉冰) goes well with tapioca, green bean, and coconut jelly :)) oh and don't forget the brown sugar syrup

Yelp
Great flavors, Wonderful choices, and Great service from almost everyone... our family loves SnoMo, we are frequent customers. Lately they hired some girl/guy with blonde hair. Whom is unfriendly, and rude. She's on some mask power trip. She made my 8yo son put his mask on, even though the mandate clearly states that masks are required for children 10+. I don't like his/her attitude and I don't appreciate it. I will continue to go, but know that if you go, she also won't give you the correct servings. She always skimps. She shouldn't be working in customer service.

Yelp
SnoMo is the best!!! 10/10 We've been going here for 4 years because the people are nice and the food is great quality. There is huge range of flavors and types of deserts. I like that they also put business cards on their community board.

Yelp
I had no idea that shaved ice cream was a thing until I came to snow monster, or snomo. We chose milk tea as our flavor of the ice cream. For toppings, we chose 1/2 original mochi, 1/2 matcha mochi, tapioca pearls (like in the boba tea), and egg pudding. These were pretty satisfied with this combo but you can go fruity or whatever you're feeling like. Come here for the shaved ice cream, don't order their Vietnamese coffee. Not sure what they put in it that made it taste funky, artificial sweeteners?

Yelp
The location could use a TLC, but the saved ice... amazing! Now our top to bear the heat in Austin!!

Yelp
What the heck is this?! Like shaved ice cream and then some... Amazeballs.. yes! I don't even know how to explain the strange delish that is this stuff. I'm bummed it's 20 mins from my house because I'd be here once a week. I got the Thai Iced Tea w/ tapioca and he got Strawberry /strawberries. Mine was a lot sweeter and his was more light flavored. They were both ! I'm guessing you can't go wrong here.

Yelp
Super cool concept and totally refreshing dessert. I wish I had one of these near my house. Will be back next time in Austin.

Yelp
This is THE place to get fluffy ice if you're in Austin. It's a coolio place to get a sweet, cold dessert after chowing down at one of the surrounding restaurants in Chinatown. The establishment itself is decorated very cutely with baby blue walls, small dangly lights strung across the ceiling, and a baby dragon as their mascot. The menu is displayed on big screens hung on the wall that flash all the delicious flavors for you to pick from! First off, you choose the type of ice you'd like: snow ice, soy snow, or pure ice. Already great because they have those dairy-free options! From there, they offer flavors such as vanilla and chocolate, to flavors like Taro or Lychee. After choosing your flavor, they have many toppings you can pick to decorate your SnoMo with. My personal favorite would have to be a Taro SnoMo topped with tapioca boba, red beans, maybe some mango and a very healthy drizzling of condensed milk! However, if you aren't particularly in the mood for one, they also serve boba drinks, teas, waffles with icecream, and snowballs (sweet rice dessert). My only critique when coming to SnoMo would have to be the slight inconsistency with the intensity of the Sno flavors. At times, it seemed less flavorful and tasted more like the ice. But, it wasn't oh so bad where I couldn't tell what flavor I had ordered! It was just noticeable. All in all, SnoMo is a great place to come to for dessert and share a monster of fluffy ice with your friends!

Yelp
Can't give 5 stars because it's my personal rule to not hand out 5ers on the first try, but SnoMo has got to be the best place I've been to offering this particular type of melt-in-your mouth, velvety Taiwanese snowflake ice. Depending on the location, it seems like you can choose between a tiny, small, or large portion for the flavor of ice you want (anywhere from $3-$6ish), followed up by various toppings ranging from fruit, to pudding, to tapioca balls, to jelly, and everything in between. Depending on the type of topping the price varies, but nothing beyond 75 cents. I noticed that SnoMo also offers various drinks and smoothies in addition to their ice options, and will need to try them out sometime in the future. I opted for the milk tea snow ice and paired it with: almond pudding, coffee jelly, and tapioca boba. Now that I think about it in hindsight, I definitely went overboard with the toppings, but I definitely have no regrets about it. This particular location, I have to give a shout out to their boba pearls -- the tapioca was probably some of the best I've ever had in terms of sweetness, freshness, and overall texture -- and my credibility comes from a) being Taiwanese and b) drinking milk tea like it's water whenever I return to the motherland. I've had a lot of boba. My friend got the mango snowflake ice and paired it with mango and strawberries. That too was also delicious, although the mango tasted a weeee bit artificial. Now if this place decided to get peanut butter flavored ice, that would be it. I'd be done. I'd have to drive down to Austin every weekend to get my fix of one of the most popular and long-lived flavors in Taiwan. Come down to SnoMo, y'all. It's worth it.

Yelp
The taste was ok but the jelly tasted very artificial. But cashier was nice and the place was clean. Price was good as well.
