I was in the area visiting the museum and saw the Peanuts characters continue across the street so checked it out. The shrub outside shaped like Snoopy. Charlie Brown statue dressed in hockey garb. Further down near the gift shop is a Woodstock dressed as a referee and another Snoopy. As well as a star in the sidewalk for Charles Shultz. Inside the ice arena there is a cafe that is super cute with Peanuts decor from stained glass, to drawings to cartoons that line the walls. Also, the table frequented by Charles Shultz is memorialized there. From the cafe you can look on to the ice and view all the activities going on there. It's a neat place.

Google
A great place for skating for both adults and kids. Typically it's packed especially during the weekend so it might be difficult to skate freely. They have training/beginners section with buckets available for training Prices are very affordable but it's open to the public during certain hours, so make sure to check the times before heading there. Food is also very delicious especially their hot chocolate Also plenty of parking spaces nearby so you don't have to worry about parking.

Snoopy’s Home Ice in Santa Rosa is an incredible place to spend time with friends while enjoying the excitement of a Growlers game! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for hockey fans and families alike. The games are not only entertaining but also offer a fantastic way to connect with the local community. The rink itself is absolutely charming, with its unique Peanuts-themed decor paying homage to Charles M. Schulz, who gifted this iconic venue to the area. There’s a sense of nostalgia and warmth that makes it feel so much more than just an ice rink…it's a slice of Santa Rosa’s heart. The snack bar and beverage options are a great bonus. Whether you're indulging in a classic game-time treat or sipping on a beverage while catching up with friends, the food and drink offerings really round out the experience. If you’re looking for a memorable night out filled with fun, laughter, and a bit of nostalgia, Snoopy’s Home Ice is a must-visit. Between the Growlers games and the overall vibe of the place, it’s a treasure that keeps us coming back for more.

This is an ice rink, cafe, and gift shop built by Charles Shultz. It is located across the street from the Shultz museum. After touring the museum, stop by for a bite to eat. Look for the signatures of famous skaters in the concrete sidewalk around the building.

Attended the annual Snoopy Senior Hockey tournament. They do a fantastic job orchestrating all the games and post game events. Charles Schultz would be proud of how his legacy is supported, remembered and cherished by so many.

We went to a Santa Rosa Growlers hockey game and it was a blast. Not a bad seat in the house for the fast passed hockey play! A friendly crowd, easy parking and great beer with Old Caz. Family friendly and affordable fun night out.

Google
The venue was cold and welcoming on a hot spring day! There was so much to see outside as well as inside! The venue has ice skates for rent which is great. They have a cafe next door as well that sells small bites to eat and hot chocolate and coffee.

Google
Super fun Peanuts-themed ice skating rink with a cafe and gift shop (and right across the street from the Charles Schulz museum)! Their public skating sessions are affordable and fun for all ages, and they decorate the rink for the holidays with festive lights and an enormous tree. The hot chocolate at their onsite cafe is wonderful, and the gift shop/gallery has all sorts of neat Peanuts themed items for sale and on exhibit. Great place to spend an afternoon!

Yelp
A fun place to carve up some ice! Peanuts themed, fair prices, and a nice change of pace after the museum! If you're a skater, or want to try and learn, this is a great place. :)

Yelp
WHEN: Sat @11:30am I didn't come here to skate, but to just check it out since I was visiting the Charles M. Schulz Museum. Looks like a good amount of young skaters are training with their coach. The place seems very nice and clean, and I love that there's a cafe that is themed outer with the Peanuts gang. Even if I don't skate here I'd love to just hang out in the cafe and eat and drink. Cute how they would slap the peanuts gang stickers on some of the food to make it appear like official IP food!

Yelp
Such a fun place to see a show or to do a little skating yourself. Cute decor and great location w a fun shop next door, and the Charles Schulz Museum next door. Tons of parking, great food and drinks at the cafe for when you need a break too.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem for the region. Good food, affordable skating, and fantastic instructors.

Yelp
I was staying in Ukiah, and Santa Rosa being only an hour away, I decided to drive down. I've always wanted to see the ice rink. I had a great lunch at the café, and the museum, which I didn't even know about, was amazing. This is , a wonderful place that Mr Schulz built for his community.. On the outside, it looks like a Swiss chalet. The ice rink itself is very large, so it can fit a lot of people. I was there the Sunday after Christmas, , and there were quite a few people skating. There were a lot of families enjoying the day. My skating days of any kind have been over for a long time, but it was fun watching everybody have such a great time. I enjoyed seeing all of the Peanuts characters outside of the building, and the gift shop right next-door had lots of cool peanuts stuff as well. I'm glad I was finally able to come down here. I really enjoyed the place. Thank you..

Yelp
Cute little place! I am from out of town and wanted to go ice skating. Loved this snoopy themed rink, it was clean and really spacious for both seating & skating. They have a snoopy museum next door which is super cute to check out all the historical snoopy items and also purchase some snoop merch. The only complaint is the skates are painful, but what rented used ice skates aren't?
google avatar

Samveda R.

Yelp
Pretty decor for Christmas. We came for the public evening ice skating session and it was $12 per person (we rented skates). They have an area where u can use buckets as support for beginners.

Yelp
An absolutely adorable and awesome place to skate! I went here about a month ago, so December 2024. It was quite busy but my partner and I got there a little early so we were able to get our skates pretty quickly and hop into the rink. The people working there were very nice and friendly and were helpful when I had a few questions. As for the actual rink for public skating times, I think it was a bang for our buck! Nicely spaced out in terms of splitting the free skaters from the ones using the assisted tools to help them skate hehe. Overall, you guys should come here not only for the rink, but they have their cafe and museum and it's definitely worth it even if you aren't into the whole Peanut's/Snoopy thing haha.

Yelp
I have a new found admiration for Snoopy's Home Ice (snoopyshomeice.com/rink-history). Formally called The Redwood Empire Ice Arena, which opened in April 1969..."there was only one rink in Sonoma County. By the end of 1960s, that rink had to be closed due to structural issues and so Schulz and his family had a new ice rink built in the newly developed northwest neighborhood of Santa Rosa...designing it with a Swiss Alp village theme to make it one of the prettiest ice rinks in the world." The Walk of Fame, with signatures signed in cement from famous people, like Peggy Fleming, Vince Guaraldi Trio, etc. When I first visited this rink back in the mid 90s, I didn't realize the rich history this rink has. It's amazing that Schultz and his family built this for the people to enjoy, not only for locals but for others, like "many former National Hockey League players and teams from around the world, including Austria, Canada, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and even Australia."

Yelp
Awesome place! The staff here are all so kind. Shout out to Ethan! My daughter had lost a hair accessory and I was desperate to find it. Went to the front twice and he didn't come off as annoyed or impatient. After the Public Ice time slot was finished for the day. I went to the front again and another staff person checked the lost and found and didn't see it. But luckily, Ethan happened to come back and let me know they did indeed find it and he had even attempted to look for me to return it. I really appreciated that kindness. The rink has a small section that is just for those using buckets. It was a great first time experience for my son to try ice skating here! They refreshed the ice after an hour. Love all the Snoopy decor and the inside has a cabin feel.

Yelp
Fantastic vibes. Museum was great, drinks were well priced. We're they very tasty? Not really. But I dont care because I am not a hot coco snob, but rather, a Charlie Brown Fan.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent prices and a fun place to visit with friends, especially around the holidays where it's really festive. The bathroom stall with just the wall is also some crazy work

Yelp
Great ice rink for the whole family- the inside is huge and has an attached cafe as well as a nearby gift store. There are hours for public skate and you can fill out the waivers online. The prices are very reasonable for skating and skate rental. There is even a Snoopy zamboni that you can watch as well. We were lucky to get a spot for a drop in lesson- the lesson is short 20 minutes but the instructor was great. They have buckets that you can stack for skate assist for beginners. The good thing is even if you do not skate- you can watch your kids from the cafe windows and enjoy a nice hot chocolate. They also offer food including kids meal which comes in a dog bowl. Definitely very iconic and memorable experience.

Yelp
amazing indoor ice rink! highly recommend for your families to join the public skate session what to expect: walk in, purchase skates, there is a snoopy cafe in the lobby which is super cute and decent for fam lunch large ice rink- lots of seating area inside for those who prefer to watch rather than skate I was surprised to see that they have stackable buckets to use as "support" for those who need it while skating. This was creative and it worked! i stacked a few buckets for my daughter to hold on to great experience and a few steps away from the charles schultz museum!

Yelp
Attended an 8th birthday party of my daughter in law's niece. The party was booked as an ice skating party which didn't happen due to management's mixed up double booking. There was a Hockey game scheduled at the same time !!! The kids in the party was given a voucher to come back another day!!! My granddaughter was memorably disappointed that this skating celebration went cold. The place is also known for skating programs, club events and hockey tournaments !!
google avatar

Yelp
We have a lot fun there. My son has iced hockey practice there every Saturday. Also, I love to see ice truck even the ice ring. It's fun to watch for me.

Yelp
This place is amazing and what a wonderful place to come and ice skate. My husband grew up skating here and wanted to bring me here to take a look. The history of this place and the little cafe is awesome and there are lots of photo ops around the outside the kids would love it. we didn't have the time to skate coming through town today but was hoping to have some lunch in the cafe but they were unfortunately closed on Fridays, so sad. but walking through here with all the original painted walls and seeing the space was cool. you can go to the gift shop next door for some Snoopy Charlie Brown stuff as well as the museum on the other side next door too.

Morgan D.

Yelp
Just started skating here a few months and I love this place! Super fun and friendly coaches. Kind staff. Made friends with some skaters I see here often. When I came to get my new skates sharpened, a kind young man helped me take them out of my skate bag while I was holding my baby. It was so nice, people don't usually do stuff like that. Just goes to show what an awesome place Snoopy's is. I always look forward to coming here

Yelp
What a fun place this is! Very friendly and informative smiling staff. We stopped by here to kill a few hours whilst on a an overnight trip in Santa Rosa over the MLK weekend. They were open to the general public in the evening. The ice skating rink is fairly large and not too crowded. They also have assisting items for you to hold onto if you are a beginner skater. Cute snoopy family designs on the ice rink floor. Plenty of seating if you have guests that just want to spectate. They also have a snoopy cafe and great snoopy props outside for photo opportunities. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Been coming here for many years. A great rink with excellent prices for solo skating, classes, etc. always a blast to just come and skate. I have also been coming here for a few years to watch a friend who plays in the local adult hockey league (they just won this year!!!). They recently installed new seats for spectators and they are much more comfortable than the last few times I had been. A great place for families to come and get some energy out and learn a new skill!

Yelp
I have not been to this rink in FOREVER, but I lived in Santa Rosa for about 8 years, and as a former competitive ice skater, I fell in love at first ice! Not only am I a huge fan of Charles Schulz, and the Peanuts comic strip and holidays specials, this rink is dedicated to his memory and has such a great vibe and nostalgic look. The ice quality is excellent and the various temperature controlled areas are great for anyone who decides to visit and get on or off the ice!

Yelp
Snoopys ice is the best in ice rink in the world! I am so grateful for the years of fun! Today was especially wonderful! I took a client ice skating and a coach noticed his ankles and figure skates were not fit properly, she suggested the hockey skates and we went and switched! Instead of going home with sore ankles, my client went around the rink many more times with smiles! Smiles are a huge bonus! Thank you coach Colleen for your earth angel help, thank you snoopys for being the best ice rink on planet earth! 5 plus stars! Oh and don't miss their decadent and best hot chocolate selection! Yum!
google avatar

Yelp
What a cool place! We came here after the museum for a quick run on the ice and to grab a snack from the warm puppy! The girls at the entrance were very accommodating and got us in right away. They were patient with my little girl when we couldn't figure out the right size skates to get her! Once in, my husband took my little girl around the ice so she could try it out. She had never been before! It didn't go to well but we decided we are going to bring her back when all the toddlers skate instead of when there's a lot of adults out there. WARM PUPPY- I waited with my little one (2) and we ate some sweet potato fries from the cafe. Expensive ($7+) but it made for a good snack. When my daughter was done skating, my husband got her a hot dog and fries, along with a peppermint patty hot chocolate. The cocoa was likely Swiss miss? Not sure but it was not all that great! The staff was all very friendly and nice though. We will come back again and skate!

Yelp
Very cool and fun for kids perfect for summer days to keep the kids cool definitely need to bring your kids here :)

Yelp
Always a fun place for the entire family! The cafe food has really improved and the staff are all friendly & helpful.

Yelp
This rink is a fun one for sure. Went the day after Christmas and it was packed. They have the Peanuts character statues everywhere and well decorated. A Christmas tree in the center of the ice, music, and fun lights. Overall, I would love to try this rink again when not so crowded. The down side was how many people there were but I assume also because of the time of year. They had a cafe and a shop and measure next door that was fun to take a look.

Yelp
I've been here twice now - and both times have been magical. It absolutely encapsulates what a good ice skating rink should be - awesome tunes, great lighting, plenty of edges to hang on to! The first time we came, we went during the parent and puppy practice, which was perfect because we didn't know what we were doing. They offered a basic lesson to everyone in the room and at the time, we could push chairs around the whole rink. It felt very safe and easy. We came back this weekend and missed the parent and puppy practice time so just went during the public skate. It was definitely harder - more people and at a much higher level. But they had a big Christmas tree set up and it felt perfectly Christmassy. They coned off a small section of the rink for beginners and people could use buckets to push around in that section only. It was fine and we had a good time. No one got hurt! Again, music and lighting were epic. This is a classic place to go ice skating and it remains our very favorite spot for ice skating.

Yelp
Snoopy's Home Ice is AMAZING! The staff at both the rink and cafe are so welcoming and friendly. It is by far the best ice skating rink in all of California, maybe even the world. Make sure to check out the Charles Schultz Museum and the gift shop just next door. Who doesn't LOVE Snoopy?
google avatar

Anonimo A.

Yelp
Very fun and affordable place to go. They always keep an interesting calendar for people of all ages and coaches are very friendly and professional.

Yelp
Great rink! Staff was helpful and attentive, equipment was well maintained, and prices (especially for midday session) were very reasonable.

Yelp
What a cute little blast from the past. Snoopy's home ice was really fun. If you're a fan of Peanuts, it's definitely worth it to check it out. The campus is decorated with large statues of your favorite Peanut characters. The ice rink itself was ok. I'm a 6'2" guy and used the old school ice skates and my feet were killing me after about 10 minutes of skating, so next time I'll upgrade to the hockey style skates. I would also recommend looked up the times for public skating. It's a busy rink and there's only small sections of time cut out for public skating.
google avatar

Kelly R.

Yelp
So much fun! Kids and their friends love it! I'm glad they are open again. Nice staff, good coco, yummy basil dip for french fries. Clean bathrooms, and we will keep coming back
google avatar

Yelp
We came up from Southern California for a hockey tournament, the Wine Country Face Off. It is our team's first time to the rink and we are having a great time. The rink is so cute and has such character. They just re-did the ice, boards, and glass, which are great. The glass is also low so even younger kids can see the games. The staff have been amazing, and all the parents on the team appreciate the hospitality room. The first day of the tournament, they had the players of both teams lineup on their blue lines for the national anthem. This woman sang the US anthem and because we were playing a team from Canada, she also sang the Canadian national anthem in French. It was a great experience for the kids. We would highly recommend this ice rink and the tournament. We are having a great time.

Yelp
Whenever we are in Santa Rosa, we visit the Charles Schulz Museum but never have the extra day to go ice skating. We were finally able to do both earlier this month! All of the employees are so welcoming and friendly (Hi Alex!). We went during public skating and a lot of locals were there. It truly felt like one big family. I saw kids helping other kids out with the buckets, other adults started chatting with me asking if it was our first time, etc. I felt like I went back in time (to my childhood in the 80's)! The admission and skate rental was very reasonable. They played fun music the entire time. We did the hokey pokey. The lights changed. There are Peanut images on the ice. There is a section blocked off for beginners (where they can use buckets to help balance). Thank you to the staff who keep this place running so well! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Very nice and state of the art ice rink. Right next to the rink is Warm Puppy Cafe which is simple, but delicious.
google avatar

Megan E.

Yelp
Been trying to book a party for the past few days for my daughter's birthday. After emailing the person who books parties and no reply, I call, and they said that person no longer works there as of a couple days ago and a new person is now booking parties. They gave me the new persons email as they just left, I figured around noon the next day id call if I heard nothing back. Well, I called back because I still haven't heard from anyone. Come to find out this person is out of state til next week. C'mon! Unfortunately, I'm going to have the party elsewhere...which stinks because my daughter loves the skating rink.

Yelp
Snoopy's Home Ice was even better than I expected, and I have a deep abiding love for all things Snoopy. We brought our 2.5 year old here recently for "toddlers on Ice" Wednesday. She was immediately as struck by the decor as I was. To me, the Swiss village with a 60s aesthetic flair perfectly captured the feeling of Peanuts. To my toddler, there were "so many pictures!" amidst the blinking Christmas lights for her to look at. For $20, Snoopy's Home Ice offers drop-in lessons on Wednesday mornings for toddlers. The price includes skates rental. There were four couches, all of whom were relaxed and helpful. They really know what they're doing there and had all the right tools for toddlers who ranged from nervous to excited, completely inexperienced to avid mini-skaters. For example, there were markers for drawing on the edges of the ice for those who were too scared to get on the ice right away (it worked!), little shopping carts for balance, and peanuts stuffed animals all around the rink. The lesson was an hour, but was laidback enough that we could easily leave after 45 minutes--which seemed like most of the class's stopping point--when my daughter got tired. The Warm Puppy Cafe is cute but not worth stopping at. Brownies come from a mix (and not like a ghiradelli or other good mix) and the "espresso" drinks look like the kind you press a button for at the gas station. Charming and not a tourist trap--a great reason to spend time in Santa Rosa.

Jessica N.

Yelp
Nothing but good vibes at Snoopy's Home Ice! They play current and old (family friendly) hits. The colorful lights add to the fun. There were 2 staff members supervising on the ice to make sure everyone is safe-- anytime someone fell, they were quick to skate over to check if they were alright! About half way through the public skate session, the emcee announced a round of hokey pokey. It was the first time I've seen this happen at any ice rink, so it was a wonderful time. As for the rental skates, I was surprised by how nice they were. They looked almost new. Admission and rental skate prices were reasonable! Will return to Snoopy's Home Ice the next time I want to ice skate :-)

Reid H.

Yelp
This rink is amazing and everyone here loves it. Everyone is amazingly grateful that theres a rink out here in California.

Brian C.

Yelp
Great Place. Great Staff. I go once or twice a week for sticktime. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. They have a great big parking lot and a cafe if you just want to hang out and get something to eat.
google avatar

Ann L.

Yelp
Friend wanted to stop here after hearing that it's nice inside. On Sun 3/18/07 they had young boys playing hokey. They had two teams playing and they were really good. I'm impressed that they have no fear and don't mind falling. Lots of parents around sitting in the bleachers. It's pretty chilly inside the rink area. Luckily there is a Warm Puppy Cafe which they really keep warm in there. Didn't look at the menu too close but they have food there. If I had kids I'd take them here to skate & eat. Check out the Schultz museum (fee) since it's across the street: http://www.yelp.com/biz/la4A7IfEW5XBwNJ99q_aXg

Yelp
One of the few places you can visit once every 25 years and not a single thing has changed. I mean this in a sort-of good way? -Rent the skates. -Hobble onto the ice. -Wish you were one of the cool girls in the middle practicing cool moves in white ice skates. -80's and Motown tunes mixed with a little country to make it Sonoma County. Yup! Same experience I had here as a kid! I brought my daughter here for her first ice skating experience and she loved it. The session lasted about 15 minutes but was totally worth it. They have a sectioned off area for the ice skating newbs. Wobbly skaters are given stacked plastic buckets to grip and it totally works. My daughter loved it despite almost falling every five seconds. Young, happy, helpful staff. We are excited to return!

Yelp
From happier times, as a happy and content poor kid.... to a happy poor adult. Snoopy and the gang has a special place in my puso. I can skate in circles, as long as my size 40 feet ain't strapped to skates with them toe picks. Hockey skates for me please! This place during the holidays was soooo darn cute. The music playing while you skated was a great variety with different genres to accommodate pretty much everyone's taste. Thank God they only played country I could mmmm glide to. The lighting changes were quite fun. At one point we was a purple Prince would have been proud of. Didn't have time to dine at the cafe but hey, that's for a next time.
google avatar

Chad R.

Yelp
This timeless ice palace is a throwback to the good old days. The music and lights reminds of roller skating back in the day but the cafe and proximity to the Schulz museum and gift shop definitely bring it back to old school Americana. It's a fun family past time for sure.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
Always a very fun place to visit. All employees are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our family really appreciates all the thought and planning that has gone into the detail of the themed landscape, live webcam, cleanliness and festive atmosphere! Keeping Charles Schultz and the Peanuts Gangs presence lively.

Nelson Q.

Yelp
Fun place, but it's currently closed for renovation. Snoopy is putting in new ice. Just go next door to the museum or gift shop for some Peanuts fun.
google avatar

Rick B.

Yelp
Snoopy's Home Ice - 5 Stars: right there next to the Schulz Museum and smack dab in the middle of nowhere of hot California, you will find the skating rink of Charles M. Schulz. Schulz was a fan of skating and extended that interest into a desire to provide skating for the neighborhood kids. This is what resulted...a National Hockey League-sized skating rink (Yes, they have a Zamboni with Peanuts characters on the side) that is used for hockey games and free skating for the entire neighborhood. The rink area includes seating for hundreds...a nice eating area (The Warm Puppy Café) ... washrooms ... and all is free for the viewing. While the Museum has a fee for visiting, the Rink is free to visit every day. Give this one a try...especially so since hockey is not a sport known for the hot climates. Since Schulz played hockey, he built this monument and played here late in life...neat idea.
google avatar

Cody H.

Yelp
Awesome place to come year round (though this will be closed from May 2019 until the fall for renovation), and enjoy indoor ice staking, a hot cocoa from the snack shop, and stop at the museum and gift shop as well!

Yelp
Came from out of town and had a blast with my 5 & 8 year olds. The stacked buckets to help my Little's learn how is BRILLIANT! Thank you for the nice experience we had.
