We were so excited to try this place! Perhaps we got them on a bad night? The fries were great but the hit dogs were not worth it. They were boiled hotdogs, nothing fancy. The chili looked very unappetizing on our hit dogs. We may try the lmao another time, but I'm not taking the whole family and spending a ton for their food.

I was surprised to learn this place has been around for 40 years, because my first visit didn’t leave a great impression. I stopped by to grab a hot dog “all the way” for a family member’s birthday. Fortunately, we stayed in the parking lot—because it turned out “all the way” doesn’t include coleslaw, which I wasn’t aware of. When I asked about it, the staff member pointed to a sign and said it would be an extra 32 cents, but the tone came off as abrupt and dismissive. A simple, polite explanation would’ve gone a long way. I don’t eat fast food often, and this experience reminded me why. While the food may have its fans, better customer service would make a big difference.

I'm a chilli dog snob from WAY back. Get you a couple and tell me! Add a line of hot sauce and shut up. Best outside of my own that I've found. Crappy traffic, road etc. Show up early and be patient. My word.

My hot dogs were gross and had a grey color to it. The french fries were tasteless. I spent over $40 and was disappointed. My family agreed with me concerning the food being not good. Therefore, we will not return to Snoopy's Hot Dogs & More in Raleigh, NC. I do not recommend this place.

I have always enjoyed Snoopy’s hot dogs and went recently and ordered a hot dog Carolina style, cheeseburger and fries. The cashier was super friendly and pleasant to chat with. It was all delicious and looking forward to enjoying again. I may get the chicken salad next time.

The burgers and hotdogs are delicious. The burgers are a little soft as if they have been soaked in water first and they lack flavor. Other than that they are good. Service was good also

The staff are always friendly. And the food is true southern styles picnic faire. I got the special this month. The he chicken salad. Carl was working the register. My first time with him taking my order he reminded me of mountain man big furry beard and big bear frame of a body. But what a really great guy. He was careful taking the order read it back to make sure it's right and it was. Just super friendly and good at his job. Glad to see this place still going strong even after Steve's passing. Snoopy's food is always a 5. However, customer service varies depending on the time you go. The am service is top notch. It is very fast and accurate. The evening service lacks in many areas. The speed, effectiveness of calling the orders, and common sense. I asked for a chicken salad sandwich which is the Monday special. I requested the bread on the side bc I dont want it to be soggy. This was the most difficult request. Time was added to me, placing a quick order bc the cashier didn't understand. Then the line was growing bc he had to go see how to ring up bread on the side. The male cashier had such a hard time conveying this message to the expeditors. Thank goodness the food is always good and consistent. The service may not be. This is a walk up quick order resturant. There are benches you may sit on while you wait. Not much of an ambiance to speak of.

Perfect chili dogs for a hot summer day. The lines went fast. Always see people backed up to the street so I had to try it out. Tuesdays has good deals

I like the hotdogs, love the chicken salad, both in a sandwich and just buying a half pint or pint. The service isn't as fast as some other places, BUT the short wait is well worth it. Most Snoopy's don't have indoor seating; I have no issue eating in the car, or on the tailgate of my truck. Very basic and efficient, we're regulars, especially with their coupons and specials.

Delicious little spot to grab a quick bite. To-go only and service was really fast. They have daily specials as well as every day combinations. We didn't order chicken salad, but it seemed to be quite popular, especially on a sweltering summer day. The chili was on point, nice and saucy without being oily. Far too often we get hot dogs and the chili is either an oily, greasy mess, or it's lacking sauce and more like seasoned crumbled beef, but that definitely not the case at Snoopy's. The crinkle cut fries were perfectly crispy outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Overall a great place to get a classic hot dog.

You know how sometimes you want a chili dog? Maybe you don't. But this evening, it was something I wanted and here's Snoopy's to the rescue. Quickly ordered and paid, my two dogs were put together fresh and wrapped well for transport. Back at the hotel room, they had not fallen apart and were still warm. Yeah, I ate two hot dogs with chili, though I skipped the buns on both. Delicious and satisfied the craving. Very inexpensive, very tasty. Ignore the upset tummy, that's what Pepto's for. I've loved Snoopy's my entire life and I'm pretty sure they're 100% responsible for weight gain when I first moved back to Raleigh seven years ago lol! They continue to slay when it comes to dogs, burgers, and chicken salad. Snoopy's is a Raleigh institution and their quality has remained consistent and awesome! You order at the window, pickup at a separate window, and take it someplace to eat. It's fantastic to grab and take down the street to the park on a nice day! Or it's a delightful tradition on a rainy day to grab some Snoopy's and eat with the family in your car. The hot dogs are fantastic, my hubs says the cheeseburgers are 10/10, and the chicken salad on wheat is the bomb!!! The fries are crinkle cut and SO good and I don't even like fries. Also the carrot cake is awesome! If it's carrot cake day, grab a slice (or two!). I try to keep Covid land out of my reviews but I have to praise Snoopy's for their handling of Covid land. As a family that has to be extra careful during Covid land, Snoopy's continues to handle Covid precautions with grace and care to all of their customers. I am glad to have a restaurant we can continue to visit safely during Covid land knowing Snoopy's is protecting their customers and their employees. This place is epic! And if you're just visiting Raleigh, definitely a must try quick bite!!

I just love Snoopy's hot dogs!!!!!! Steamed bun, mustard, onions , chili and slaw!!! My go to comfort food. Everything is always fresh and delicious! Right now my fries are too hot to eat hahahaha! Their slaw is the best and I get it on everything. Have brought my daughter and granddaughter here over the years, sitting in the car, laughing, talking and eating. Thanks for all the memories and the ones still to come!

This rating is relative to hot dog joints. This is a Raleigh staple. If you haven't ever had a snoopy dog you haven't left.

I know their hot dogs are good, so o wanted to try the burger. The double burger snoopies way was good, but I think the cheese over powers the taste of the burger. I need to go back and get the burger with "no cheese" and see if I can get this to a 5-rating.

The fries were crinkle fries was the only thing good. The hotdog was so small and skinny I was like what the hell. It did not taste that great the hotdog was pale. Would never go back! Sorry for being hotdog place I expected a better quality dog.

Love to support local business. But darn the last 3 visits my order has been wrong. Wasted my money on something I didn't even like etc. disappointing. The people that work there don't listen. It's really that simple. Think they should reconsider who takes orders. Won't go back. Sad to say.

Don't expect Costco sized dogs but they are super tasty and the chili is really good. Definitely get the fries. They are crinkle cut and cooked just right.

Ordered the chicken salad and hubby and daughter ordered beef hotdogs. Yummy! Fries are always nice and hot here. No complaints! Quick and friendly service every time we visit.

This is my favorite hot dog joint now. The hot dogs are on the smaller side but is perfect for me. Grilled onions and chili are great. What really blows me away are that the crinkle cut fries are super crispy but yet soft in the center. I don't think any other place can meet them with that. Good bang for your buck.

This place (Hillsborough Snoopy's) is always packed during lunch. And by packed, I mean there is a long line to order and a line to pick up your meal. You will be standing in the sun while you wait to place your order. They do a really good job when they're staff are running on all cylinders, but the number of customers means there will be a wait. The staff has the good mindset to get the order out, so don't expect a Chatty Cathy at the window. Their hot dogs are an average-to-small in terms of size and are a mixed cut of meat. They do have beef dogs available. Their recipe of a standard hot dog coming with mustard onion and chili works well. They wrap them well so they travel well. Tasty grub. They let you know you can customize, but why would you want to? The drink (where they lost a star) was filled with crushed ice. A couple of long pulls on the straw and you're out of drink. Drinks are served in a nice foam cup with a real plastic straw. On both of my visits, I had icebergs' worth of crushed ice in my cups. It ain't that hot out. Their hot dogs are an average-to-small in terms of size and are a mixed cut of meat. They do have beef dogs available. Their recipe of a standard hot dog coming with mustard onion and chili works well. They wrap them well so they travel well. There is no seating other than a bench that people use to wait for their order to be completed, so everything is served to-go. Parking is a problem during the peak of the lunch rush. They do have a parking lot, but it gets full. There is on-street parallel parking, but it can be a little competitive from what I've seen. There are lots of workmen so picture oversized pickups, vans or guys trailering stuff taking up a lot of room. I never visited the rest room. (I'm only assuming they have one.) I'd recommend if only to let a newcomer see what the local fuss is about. Locals do say it's a landmark. (Definitely not in Varsity (Atlanta) territory.) Try a Tuesday where the hot dogs are half-off.

No other options other than beef and reg hot dogs soo I only got fries and a drink. Everything was good. I love fries so these were my liking. Crispy on outside, hot, fresh potato on the inside. Drinks can be a lil less ice, more drink but the crushed ice is the bomb they give you a lot of it. I don't know about how sanitized and clean they are. It's in a small hut. Small space with a small window to order through.

This is a great local stop for Raleigh! Not matter what time of day this place is always busy! Food is great and you get it quickly; only downside is that the parking lot is not big to hold all the customers. There are always great weekly deals on menu items; like Tuesday at 50% off hot dogs. I have tried everything on the menu and never had a bad item. The classic hot dog with an sweet tea is great on a spring/summer afternoon.

Best hotdogs next to the Dome dogs at Syracuse University's Carrier Dome! You must try them! And please ignore the reviews with less than 5 stars. This place is clean, folks are super friendly and the food is served fast. Don't forget an order of crinkle cut fries. They hold more ketchup, what's not to like??

This is why it is always a good idea to listen to the locals. This is a no frills local joint that's serving up some delicious food. My friend said she used to come here all the time when she was in college. Now I totally understand why. If I had this place when I was in college it would have been a total problem! She said the hotdogs were always her go-to menu item. So I tried the hotdog combo - hotdog (all the way), fries and a drink. The hotdog comes wrapped in a cute little box which leaves it totally mess free and the chili they use is quite delish. And those crinkle cut fries were awesome! Like I said its nothing fancy but when I'm in the area again I'm definitely planning a visit here!

I have been to this @SnoopysHotDogs a couple of times. I found that some of the people here are rude, while others are nice. And of all the #HotDog places in #Raleigh this location is last on my list to go to. It is not because of the food, just the staff. I have been craving a hot dog and what better time to try this little gem. We live about 5 minutes from here and see it all the time. There chili is a meat chili perfect for a chili dog and chili cheese fries. The cheese is like gas station cheddar but much better. There is no real seating that I could see so its more of a take and go place even my husband liked it and he is very picky. I got a chilli and mustard dog and he just got a chili and onion. I love mustard so it was a tasty tangy surprise. We were both full and just had to finish our food, it was that good. If there was more seating it would be a great place for spring and summer nights. It has an old drive through feel. It has more than hot dogs but you should definitely try it for yourself.

I moved away from the Triangle area in 2007 and have missed these hot dogs. So first time back in 11 years and they are still just as good. Can't find ones like this in Austin!

If I said Snoops is my jam, would you believe me? You should. This Snoopy's location is in my neighborhood and I eat here way too much. But I can't help it. The burgers are delicious, the fries are crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside and the sweet tea is the best I've had since moving back to the South from the Yankee Midwest. The service is great. They remember the regulars and address us accordingly. Makes you feel special. Snoopy's also has weeknight deals so whatever your budget or how hungry you are, there is something for everyone at Snoops as long as you eat meat. I haven't said much about the hot dogs because I rarely eat hot dogs but the ones I've ordered have been pretty good. Sign up for the newsletter and you get pretty good specials and coupons so its worth it and they don't blitz you with emails everyday. So far it's been only once a month.

I was really stoked about this place. I"m not used to seeing walk-up, hot dog, joints--so novelty had me howling to walk up and order my dog. I went with their "Famous" hot dog, which features chili, onions and--you know, all the stuff heart burn is made of! What else does one eat hot dogs for though, but for the love of heartburn? I'm not sure what it's famous for, but it kind of tastes like just a hot dog to me. It's not bad but I certainly won't be singing the hot dog's praises everywhere I travel. Their seasoned fries, however, made up for the dog's shortcoming. These seasoned beauties are golden, crispy and delicious. They do dish these bad boys out swiftly--so this place has got you covered if you are on the run and hungry. Ideal for escaped fugitives, but tasty enough for the casual stroller!

I went to Snoopy's on a Tuesday night to grab a cheap, late dinner. Tuesday is the best night to go there because they offer half price hot dogs, which come out to $1.15 per hot dog. The hot dogs come with mustard, chili, and onions, and you can get other free add ons like cole slaw, relisch, etc. The hot dogs are just okay, not the best quality of hot dog I've ever had. They are freshly steamed and do come out hot, which is definitely a plus. The mustard, chili, onions combo is must to really get the most flavor out of the hotdog. The chili is a just a cheap, meat paste looking chili, that does have some spice. The onions and mustard give the hot dog that little extra bite and flavor, and I like to add cole slaw or sweet relish to offset it. The relish is a sweet, very green relish and server as a great addition to contrast the flavor profile from the mustard and chili. The crinkle cut fries usually come out fresh and are also a great addition to add on top of the hot dog if you're feeling ambitious. Overall, Snoopy's is a decent fast food option for cheap hot dogs. I always know what to expect going there and don't get my hopes high in terms of quality. But for a cheap, quick meal, Snoopy's is definitely a viable spot and is definitely a good option for a late night meal.

It is basic, basic, basic hot dog, onions, mustard, chili, and a bun. You order from outside, they give you your hotdogs and you go to your car and eat. No tables, no bar stools no ambiance, nada. The only give away that the food is actually pretty decent is there are always people standing outside to order. The hotdogs are good and they are reasonably cheap. The fries are crinkle cut style and they are always good and hot. They also offer seasoned fries. Those aren't the crinkle style. Snoopy's has daily specials and standard combos. It is quick. Not a long wait at all. The people are friendly make sure your order is right. A little bit of a Raleigh history note. At one time, this building was the second KFC built in Raleigh. There wasn't any eat in then either. The cheeseburgers are also basic, but good. The hotdogs are done, but not burnt. It is locally owned. If I am in the area and it is lunch time, I'll stop by and grab a 2 hot dog, fries, and drink combo. Try it, if you don't like it you haven't spent a lot of money. If you do like it you'll will have found one of those spots you head to for a quick hot dog fix.

This is the best Snoopy's location, IMO. Walking distance from NCSU and Meredith, more parking than their other locations, and I've never had poor service or had them get my order wrong, which may be due to the fact that it seems to be a less-busy location. There's no big shocker here, it's a hot dog place. Nothing weird about the hotdogs; nothing "gourmet" about the chili; just a good, solid hot dog, yummy fries and onion rings, served quickly. I'd definitely recommend you hit them up on Tuesdays; 99 cents for a dog with mustard, chili, and onions makes for an unbeatably quick and cheap lunch!

Growing up, I was never really a fan of hot dogs. I still get chills thinking about the pots of 'hot dog water' left after my mother boiled Oscar Mayers for dinner. However, perhaps due to the wisdom of age and the belated discovery that a hot dog is a really, really delicious way to rid oneself of a hangover, I've been sampling franks around the Triangle. Much as it took me way too long to try Roast Grill (after having lived in Raleigh for more than 20 years), I only recently made my way to Snoopy's. It was lunch time on a Sunday, I was admittedly hungover, Snoopy's is in the neighborhood, and I decided that, short of someone delivering a big bowl of pho to me, a hot dog was the only thing that made sense. Despite having no seating (indoors anyway, and just a couple of benches at the counter), I was surprised by how full service Snoopy's is: lots of options beyond hot dogs, lots of hot dog toppings, even a variety of desserts. I kept it simple with a single dog combo, which came with fries and a drink. On the frank, I ordered chili and slaw, then added a schmear of mustard myself once home. Both the dog and the fries were delicious, and frankly (Ha! See what I did there?), I could've eaten two hot dogs if I'd really put my mind to it. However, if I had, I wouldn't have had room for the apple turnover. It wasn't particularly earth-shattering - my guess is that they get them frozen and heat to order - but it was piping hot and a nice, crispy, sweet little end to the meal. Although I took my food home before consuming, I was in the minority: the post-church crowd filled the Snoopy's lot, eating in their cars. And I know that if I'd arrived a bit later, there would be a line down the sidewalk. If that's not a ringing endorsement, then I don't know what is.

I don't venture out for a hot dog to often, but when I heard that Snoopy's Hot Dogs has the best franks in the city, I had to try. What a joke! I honestly don't know why everyone raves about this place. The hotdog was small, the bun plain and the chili was runny with no taste. I was definitely disappointed. My fiance got a cheeseburger and she too said it was nothing special. Just to confirm, I took a bite and couldn't agree with you more. So, if you are new to Raleigh and hear the rants and raves about Snoopy's Hot Dogs...don't be fooled. You're better off buying a few dogs from the grocery store.

I am a little surprised at all the negative reviews for Snoopy's. I have been eating their hot dogs for over ten years now and they have always been delicious. And they have krinkle fries, with the right amount of salt, yum! It seems as though some may have had their expectations set too high, I mean did anyone really think this was a fine dining establishment? It is what it is, and what it is, is reasonably priced and delicious. A combo i would take any day of the week!

This Snoopy's location is not as heavily trafficked as its sister location on the downtown end of Hillsborough Street, but it's just as good. In fact, this location operating out of what used to be an express-style KFC might be even better. Shorter lines, same specials on the same days, same dogs, same chicken salad...same awesome. Granted, if you're going for that late-night food run, you'll probably not be as entertained by the people coming out of the Arby's across the street as you are by the people stumbling out of Dive Bar behind the original location; but if you're interested in just getting the food into your belly quickly, it may be best to give this location a stop. It may not be open as late on Thursdays, but it actually keeps open until 4am on Friday and Saturday. It has the same pitfall as the original location in terms of there being practically nowhere to sit down and enjoy your dog instant gratification style, but there is more room to be creative as there's a nice drop off from the front that lets you enjoy the outdoors and watch people try to merge as Hillsborough Street becomes a two-laner for a little stretch for your amusement. Highly recommended. Special note: the 600 Hillsborough St. location has more Yelp than this location, if you don't want to just take my word for it.

I've been doing a straight comparison of hot dog places in Raleigh. To be fair, I get the same - 2 dogs, with mustard and chili. Here's the scoop on Snoopy's. The bun is steamed and a just bit on the heavy side. The dog was average size, but a bit bland. The chili was meaty but had very little in the way of chili flavor. There was very little mustard on the dogs and I had to hunt for the two or three bits of onion. As noted in other reviews, Snoopy's would be absolutely perfect after a long night drinking and you're starving with a craving for a hot dog. If you're sober and just looking for a really good hot dog for lunch, there are better alternatives.

CHeap fast food. Tasty but this is a belly buster! Parking: Small lot and street parking close by. Location: Easy to find... Seating: None.. I think there is a bench or something.... This place is open late, so it's an easy way to grub up after a night of drinking. After one too many cold ones, I made the stupid mistake of ordering a burger at a place that has "hot dogs" in the name. The burger wasn't good--preformed frozen patty, mushy little mcdonald's type bun. i ate half of it before someone pointed out there was chili on it. Who knew? it kind of just mushed into the silly little bun and disappeared. Good fries if you can get them hot and fresh. But, listen, if you want a burger, and char grill is open, go there instead.

I love this place! While they are known for their hotdogs, l actually love their chicken tenders. They are always hot and crispy, plus their fries are the bomb. Great place to grab lunch or a late night meal.

Wow! Have not been to Snoopys's in a couple years. Today craving a good chili dog , I went for lunch--- for the last time! Could not believe the prices!!! OK, had one small beef hotdog- $3.49, one order of fries 2.19, one reg. Drink--$2.19 and a small apple pie $1.69---total with tax an unbelievable $10.24. Did I mention it was a very small hot dog???? I could have saved $2-$3 at Arby's across the street or even McDonalds! The food was good, but good $5 or $6 NOT $10!!! NEVER going back!!!!!!!!!

99cent hodogs on Tuesdays...they do take the special off sometimes so you may want to call ahead to see if they are running it. FYI..these hotdogs are redish color...and DELICIOUS... They also have pellet ice in their Drinks.. if you like Jalepenos..they have them minced. :) just ask for hot peppers

Their bbq sandwich and crinkle fries just hit the spot! But really they do a quality job w everything they offer - I moved away from the area and of all things I always have to get Snoopy's whenever I'm back!

The service here has been especially bad lately. If you feel like waiting 15 minutes to just get a barbecue sandwich or a hot dog this is your place. Even when they're not busy it still takes a very long time before they even come to the window to take your order let alone get you your food. I've even come at 11 a.m. and they told me they were not open yet even though there stated hours are 10:30 a.m.

I have come to this location several times before with my boyfriend. Food always tastes so good which keeps us coming back. On our most recent visit, my boyfriend ordered two fries and never received them. Once we finally realized we were missing the additional order of fries, we called the location to see what could be done. I know these things happen so the missing fries was not the issue. The issue was that when we called the customer service was terrible. The representative on the phone was extremely condescending and it was insulting. She then said our only option was to come all the way back to get the fries we paid for. No credit was offered for our next visit, no refund, or anything like that. I would have paid more in gas to have had to go all the way back just to get the fries when we should have gotten them from the very beginning. Overall very tasty treat but please work on the customer service and what the company policies are if this were to ever happen again.
