Family‑run since 1980, this bayside favorite grew from a bait stand into a casual seafood deck with its own fish house. Locals flock for fried shrimp baskets, hush puppies, and breezy Intracoastal views steps from the water.

Snoopy's is a cool spot! This is a late lunch review...I think this place has a completely different vibe in the evenings. Anyway, there are plenty of outside seats by the water and plenty of seating inside as well. However, there really isn't a good view inside. The food was absolutely great! Fish and chips and the butterfly shrimp are highly recommended. This place might get crowded in the evenings, so if you eat early it might benefit you. This is not a table service restaurant. You'll order at the counter pick a seat then wait for you name to be called. You can also pick a seat first to look at the menu then go order if you want. If you're a Coca-Cola products person you wont like the drink selection...it's Pepsi products (insert sad face for me). I gave a 3 on service, because there really isn't any. You order, get your food, eat and then leave, so there isn't much to rate. Another note...on outside seating There will be birds very close to you...bird phobia people beware. It's definitely worth checking out!

I took some friends here for lunch and it was definitely over priced. The young lady, Maria, I think, was not very friendly and she couldn't decide if our sea food baskets were $24 or $31.00. In the end, it was $98.00 for 3 - shrimp and fish baskets with a few fries (see the photos). Plus, there was a recommendation for an 18.00 tip, which I rescinded when I found out we have to pick up our food and condiments and serve our own drinks? I understand the scenery is very nice but the building and outside furniture was a bit runned down. Next time, it's Boat N Net and fighting the seagulls on a towel at the beach 😉

Google
We had a very fun visit at this location! The food was good, but the breaded chicken tenders my kids got were undercooked and overly breaded. Everything else was amazing, though. You order your food prior to finding a seat. We enjoyed the outside seating. The bar area had some live karaoke going on, and an ice cream shop right next door. It's such a fun atmosphere.

Google
Incredibly disappointed in our take out order today. We ordered over the phone and they forgot to add our fried catfish meal. The kids grilled cheese sandwiches were $10 - and didn’t look correctly cooked. We tried to call back to correct our order and the phone just rings. Our shrimp platters and hush puppies were good - consistent with a food shack menu, so the price just didn’t match the quality unfortunately. We spent over $100 on very cheaply made food. Customer service could be better and more professional. Will not order from here again.

Google
The food was okay. Nothing too special or to write home about. The best part was probably the view and atmosphere. They had karaoke the night we went. I the sunset was beautiful and the salt water smell was perfect 👌🏽

Google
Lower your expectations of the look of your food and you'll be happier ☺️ Overall the crabcake salad was good but there was many 2 tiny artichoke pieces hidden amongst very boring ice burg lettuce. Hubby had Redfish that was tasty. The view was cool. There was no shade outside or fans. If they added that with misters, it would really be great. Next time Id try the fries or onion rings. Service was basically self serve with random 15 yr old busboys running around.

Google
Felt this was overrated. Wanted to come and support local business, but it is a bit run down. Staff are friendly, the crowd was a mix of in state vacationers. They give you tons of fries. Every table seemed to have left their fries haha. The cod, butterfly shrimp, and kids meals were all good. Large portions. They were out of some sodas, lemonade, sauce cups… just a local hangout, really… we will try Doc’s next door for our next visit. My kids enjoyed the small pier, but it’s not really an inviting space. We were fairly underwhelmed by the outdoor space and forgot to take pics of the food. There were lots of families with kids running around and it was all just okay. They sell Blue Bell at snoopy’s ice cream shop next door. It was super hot, sticky tables, close to closing time, not the best service-just kids working their summer jobs. Our experience could have been so much better… I’d much rather purchase a pint of ice cream at a gas Station and sit on the beach….

Google
I visited Snoopy's Restaurant with my friend a couple months ago and we were disappointed in the food. The fish tasted like it was frozen fish cooked and breaded in bland fish fry. 🐟 The fries tasted liked bagged fries and were tasteless. 🍟 If you want to get condiments and the drinks it is self-served. The food did not taste real or authentic, everything tasted like frozen, bagged food that they fried. I could have made the food at home for how it tasted! I will say the scenary was beautiful and there was good, karaoke live music. 🎤 🎶 🎵 If you want good, flavorful seafood please skip this restaurant.

Yelp
We arrived at 6 p.m. and brought our dogs. There's a dog-friendly patio with plenty of shade and seating near Scoopy's, the dessert spot next door. A DJ was there running karaoke, which added to the vibe. You order your food at the register and then find a seat. They call your name over the intercom when your food is ready, but it was a little hard to hear from where we were sitting because of the music. The menu encourages you to add sides, which range from three to four dollars. It's a little misleading if you're not paying attention, but the portions are large. You can also order individual items a la carte, like fish or shrimp. We got a dozen shrimp. They were huge and perfectly fried. We also ordered the Snoopy's combo, which came with fries, four fried oysters, four shrimp, and fried fish. The fish wasn't cut like a filet, more like two big fish nuggets. Still, everything came out hot, fresh, and in large portions. We hadn't been here since we were kids. We came back for the nostalgia but ended up getting a solid meal and some fun karaoke entertainment. The dog-friendly patio was a nice bonus.

Yelp
This place is not what it used to be. Paid 130 bucks for drinks and a plate for 5 people, but the food was bland. Cheeseburgers used to be real good cheeseburgers. I was disappointed from the get go. Tried the fried oysters and should have known better. They were soggy and bland as well. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is super relaxed. I guess you are really paying for the view and atmosphere.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
This was my first time here and my wife's first time here in about 20 years. The atmosphere is a 10/10, the place is full of charm and stories. The food was pretty mid and best. The burger was the most bland burger I've ever had in my life. My wife took one bite of hers and didn't even try to choke the rest down. Fries and hush puppies were good. My kids enjoyed their chicken fingers and grilled cheese. The staff was friendly and polite. We made some memories and even got the free picture to prove it. For the $60 we spent to eat there, I think we will skip it for another few years.

Yelp
Lunch was delish!!! The hubby had a burger with pepper jack cheese and a jalapeno bun... The fried shrimp basket and an order of the stuffed crab jalapeños. Incredible

Kimberley C.

Yelp
Disappointed in the taste of all three items we had. 2 were super bland and the soup didn't have the right flavor. Been to Docs next door and was impressed so not sure why you'd keep going 100 ft to Snoopy's sadly. I hope they look for more flavor somewhere because it's a nice place to sit by the water and enjoy some seafood.
google avatar

Chasity A.

Yelp
If you're looking for a laid back place to hang with fried food, this is it. It's counter service with a full bar around the corner. We ordered the red snapper plate and it was dry and under seasoned on disposable plates for $28. We also had a kids shrimp that was only 3 pieces of shrimp and fries. They made up for the food with the karaoke and bar service.
google avatar

Leah S.

Yelp
Why, oh why, Snoopy's?! You used to be so good! The fish was tough, the breading sucked, the portions tiny and overpriced. But we wouldn't have wanted to eat it all anyway. It was not palatable. The howling sounds of the karaoke drowned out any peacefulness the bay offered and disrupted any chance of healthy digestion. And that is every night? But the food! What happened?! So sorry we won't be back.
google avatar

Martha J.

Yelp
Some of the best seafood in Corpus Christi. The sunset views alone are worth the trip. Come for the food and stay for the sunset views.
google avatar

Brenda G.

Yelp
Upon arriving I liked the ambience of full summer vibe with the gulf as one's view. To order you just order from front window and then sit and wait for them to call you. I got a rice with veggie dish and shrimp. I asked for the sauce on the side bc it said spicy but it wasn't. Could have been more flavorful. My friend got fried fish with fries which we said looked boring and beigh lol. I am sure this place would be fun at night.

Yelp
Been coming here for over 25 years on our way to Port Aransas. Nostalgia. Boiled shrimp, fried and broiled fish, burgers, and fries all taste amazing. Friendly service. Convenient area for condiments and to go containers. Love the view. Wish there was more shade outside. We'll continue to keep going!
google avatar

Allie D.

Yelp
LOVE Snoopy's! The history, the view, the delicious drinks, the yummy seafood! Our go to Friday night spot!!
google avatar

Vanessa D.

Yelp
Kids male portions were well sized. We had the fish and chips plate became with four small pieces of fish. The food was pretty average, but tasted OK. The view was really nice. They had a performer singing on one side of the deck. It was nice. Definitely worth going to enjoy a beautiful view of the water while enjoying your food. Separate cashier area bartends.

Yelp
The service was great! No AC in this open air restaurant. Not all the fans were working. Fortunately, the heat this Labor Day weekend was tolerable. Restrooms are outside in an upgrade port-a-potty, women side was great, men side had no lights. Did let the hostess know toilet paper on the women side was almost out. Plenty of parking. Pricing not too bad. The food, an interesting twist: -Calamari was on the saltier side but would recommend as the portion was huge -Lobster bisque was not entirely lobster, some kind of fish added? -Beef tartar was more like a salad -Truffle fries tasted like regular fries Drinks were great, with unexpected fees on the alcohol. Party of 6 with automatic tip added The view was great & was overall an experience.

Yelp
Location, location location. Food is standard. Beers were cold which was good enough for me. Sat outside at the bar so we could get full service (regular dinner has to be ordered at the door and picked up) . Our bartender was a little scattered and lacking knowledge about the menu but we survived. Ordered GRILLED shrimp, rice and vegetables. Got stir fry shrimp, rice and vegetables all combined. That was yuck. I just ate the shrimp. Fans would be nice to eliminate the mosquitos. If you have no expectations of a beach bar / restaurant you won't be disappointed here. FYI, they pass on the credit card processing fee to you.

Yelp
We stopped for a late lunch on a Monday on our way to Port Aransas. Although it was 2:00, there were several customers there. The menu was posted on a board outside the restaurant and also on a chalkboard above the order window (no prices on the menu). We ordered the 6-piece shrimp combo, the 4-piece fish combo (mahi-mahi), a cheeseburger, two soft drinks and one beer. As were no prices on the menus, we were shocked when we were told our total was $90. The food was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the fries were especially good. But not $30-per-person good! I realize prices everywhere have risen, and I also understand I should have asked the price before ordering. I was just amazed at the total for lunch. Aside from the food, the atmosphere had a beachy/marina vibe complete with begging bird-life. An employee came by often to check on us. The bathrooms were clean. Drink refills were free. But I still can't get over the prices.

Yelp
Food was fresh and on point definitely will order again service was good our food came out at a decent time with how packed they were the ambiance was different but great met a lot and seen a lot great people and a animal friendly place for your fur baby definitely bring your family friends or even date to come try this location and get that complementary picture for your memories.

Yelp
We went in October, absolutely wonderful! Great staff. Food was delicious the shrimp and I recommend the cod fish and chips! We sat outside on the patio it was wonderful.

Yelp
I was in the mood for fried fish so I stopped by Snoopy's on my way back from Port Aransas, heading towards Corpus Christi. I got the 5 piece fried fish. Delicious overall but could have used a little more salt. The tartar sauce was good too but could have used more flavor. Best part was that 2 pieces were stuck together so I actually got 6 pieces for the price of 5. But the dish was extremely expensive anyway so I wouldn't call it a great deal. The ambiance is what you would expect from a seafood bar. The outdoor seating overlooks the water, but tables are hard to come by on a Saturday evening. Service was OK. It's one of those places that makes you tip as you order and pay, so you haven't actually experienced the service when you need to make that decision. Surprisingly, there was lots of parking available though my car did end up getting blocked in by a truck towing a boat. Minor annoyance and they eventually moved without issue.

Martha A.

Yelp
Expectations were obviously too high. The food, & service were BAD. The cold condensed gumbo & Ben E Keith fish for fish tacos weren't edible.
google avatar

Maggie G.

Yelp
We absolutely love this food spot! We always spot here when visiting North Padre Island. Food is always fresh and yummy. It is pricey which means we can only hit it up once a year. Can't wait for next year!
google avatar

Norma G.

Yelp
Food wasn't what I expected, we ordered the seafood combo and crab stuffed jalapeños, both were disappointing. COD fish 1 pc was the size of a half dollar, 2 bites and it was gone. Fried oysters tasted awful, jalapeño poppers are not good at all. View was awesome, ppl friendly but did not like the food, sorry

Karen W.

Yelp
Food was all right. But it was overpriced and portions were too small. For what we ordered, we should have paid half of what we did. There are better places for the same thing.

Cheyenne R.

Yelp
The restaurant has such a nice vibe and great views but our food came out cold and soggy.
google avatar

Aaron M.

Yelp
Food is kinda pricey for the amount you receive. Fish are not fillets but almost 4 bite size portions. Place was crowded, which is fine but the young staff they had on deck cleaning tables were somewhat slow. We had to approach one as ask them to clean our table so we can sit. AC was also leaking on our chair.
google avatar

Jason E.

Yelp
Delicious with great views. Good this place is an amazing hole in the wall with delicious food and drinks. But the best, we got there minutes before the sun set and wow, it was beautiful to watch while having shrimp and fish. I'll be back!
google avatar

Ryan P.

Yelp
Butterfly fried shrimp tacos were tasty, fresh, and hot! They could use a spicy sauce or something, but very tasty. Ambiance is spectacular next to the water!

Chad K.

Yelp
Food was just fine but you need to pay attention to your transactions. The punk working the register added 32 additional dollars to his tip. If it weren't so busy I'd go to the restaurant and call him out on it. It would help if they would employee an adult. There wasn't one to be found when we were there. Just kids I saw another person mention being gratited on their tip.. It's stealing to add more tip to a ticket after the fact. Guess what the phone number there doesn't work. We will never be back to this establishment.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
I got the 1/2 combo and it came with 2 shrimp, 3 oysters and 1 piece of fish that was tiny-2 small bites. The food is obviously pre cooked since mine was ready before I got my drink and the oyster were barely warm and breading falling off. The shrimp were solid but also not very warm. I hadn't been here in 10 years and it's definitely not the same but still pretty good. It's $$ for the amount and quality of food but the ambience is nice and right on the water.
google avatar

Wendy K.

Yelp
The bartender was terrific.I liked my Diet Coke.the colada was very strong so I did a sample after ordering my drink. She made the famous colada perfect for me. I love oysters:

Yelp
I had a big group of friends out to the beach for the weekend, and the group decided we were prioritizing vibes over food quality for our Saturday dinner. Snoopy's absolutely delivers on the former, and the latter wasn't too bad either! I've been coming to this restaurant some twenty years since I was a kid, but I had a different experience of it then. I thought I hated it, but with the clear-eyed retrospection of adulthood I think I can say I was probably just grouchy from a day at the beach. I ordered the chicken fingers and curly fries and thought they were on point for fried food! My side salad was a welcome palate cleanser as well. Not remarkable, but big portions. My only complaint is that the aforementioned dinner ran me $25 - I don't recall my parents spending quite that much money on me back in the day, but inflation, etc, etc. They've got a view and a captive audience, so I guess that's what they can charge. Overall, we had a great time here with a group. Nice to add another visit to the memories of Snoopy's.
google avatar

Rebecca T.

Yelp
We hit up Snoopy's every time we come to town, usually for our post-beach dinner. It has such a fun vibe. The food is your typical seafood/sandwiches/burgers, however, it is all good. The spicy shrimp with rice and veggies was so flavorful! It is order at the counter service. It is usually busy but we've never waited too long for our food. It is a bit pricey ($80 for 2 adult meals and 3 kid meals) but the serving sizes are generous. I do with they offered popcorn shrimp for the kids as opposed to regular fried shrimp but that's a small inconvenience. There is a well stocked bar that serves some delicious cocktails and has a good variety of beers- both canned and draft. They also have oysters next door that are amazing. Of course the kids always indulge in the ice cream next door for dessert. Plus, you might get lucky like we did our last visit and see some dolphins swim by while you eat.
google avatar

Nick M.

Yelp
Makes me sad... Been coming here for 25 years...I remember cash only. Survived Covid. Last time here quality had dropped but hoped was 1 time thing. Now June 2024 and both combo & half combo gone. I understand prices have increased but 2 people with no alcohol for $75? One person only had fried fish sandwich and fries. Half of sandwich was hard as a rock and inedible. What was once a decent value & great food is now severely overpriced and just not good... View is still great...
google avatar

Liz H.

Yelp
The last few times we have come down to visit we have stopped at Snoopy's and we have always had good food. The most recent visit, we got fried a fried shrimp/fish basket and the kids got chicken strips. Both were really good. I gave it 4 stars this visit because of the amount of grease we had pooled up on our fish was a bit much.
google avatar

Doug G.

Yelp
We went here for dinner while in Port Aransas. Portions were good size. Seasoning on shrimp and fries were good. The Fish was a little bland but the quality was good. I do like my fish to be seasoned. Wife and I split the fish and shrimp plate. We could not finish it all. We ordered drinks and they all came out good.

Trombonio D.

Yelp
DANGEROUS- homemade tartar sauce kept at room temperature. It looked like the bowl had ice at some point, but instead of adding ice, they added tartar sauce containers, creating a mound of health code violations. They pride themselves on their house made tartar sauce, but it's more like aioli with pepper and chili powder- no fresh dill, pickles, capers, or lemon. To make matters worse, their Fish and chips plate and shrimp plate were overcooked, under seasoned, and overpriced- Plus, the seafood tastes like it was not fresh, but rolled off of the SYSCO truck for them to just toss in the fryer and overcook until they are rubbery. That's just shameful and embarrassing when you have access to fresh seafood on the coast. Everything is self service- condiments, sodas, and you clean your own table. Teenagers were too busy on their phones to take care of tables. The place reeks of laziness.
google avatar

Kristine F.

Yelp
Boo really wanted some fresh fish and chips while we visited Corpus and found this place on his Google searches. We are pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the food and the friendly staff! It's a busy place and during our visit there were many young pre-teens. It was loud, but hey it's the last hump before school starts!! I say let these kids enjoy the gulf before they gotta hit the books for the upcoming year!! Great experience and next time we visit Corpus Christi we will surely grab some fish and chips here at the pier!!
google avatar

Glenn A.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. They seem to be very family oriented. Definitely check out their ice cream shop next door.
google avatar

Steven G.

Yelp
Dined on a Tuesday at 5pm Fantastic!! Been in Texas for over 30 years finally trying the local area. Overall the experience was wonderful. Order prior to sitting with great recommendations from the cashier. With simple drink options. Coke products. Food was delicious and worth the price. Majority of the seating is a cover outside on the bay with some seating inside with open doors for breeze. Full bar on the bay side with great options and helpful bartenders. Their Coconut Breeze with promoted that evening and did not disappoint. Local DJ with karaoke in the evenings making the mood perfect. Recommend this dinner option for anyone looking for local spot to try.
google avatar

Luis O.

Yelp
This place is really cool located near the water. I can say though that their food prices have skyrocketed like this was the last seafood on the planet. They dont list prices for a reason. When you eat it, it is mediocre. Except the peel boiled shrimp. Pretty crunchy and juicy. Just seems too pricey for what it tastes like. I probably won't dine here again. To recap: scenery is good, food is good not great, prices are stupid.

Jp D.

Yelp
Food was amazing , fish was flakey as hell shrim was solid af. 2 meals plus drink was $60 which is why it's 4 stars but if you asked me would you get it again, I would say yes with out thinking! Service was good and sitting in the pier awesome. It might be expensive but that's just how it is now
google avatar

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
If I could go back in time I would never go to Snoopy's. I honestly think long John silvers is better than what they serve. No seasoning at all. The batter is flavorless and drenched in oil. Very hard to eat. The fries were the same ones from the freezer section at Walmart. Not to mention the fountain drink area is filthy and has not been cleaned, the soda smelled moldy. I wish I could get my money back.
google avatar

Jena C.

Yelp
I loved the food, the wait staff for the food were amazingly wonderful (bar staff not so much, it wasn't busy so I'll take it as an off day) The outdoor seating that was dog friendly was so picturesque! Two major complaints were the large group of people who thought it was okay to box me in with my neighboring table and chairs so they can take pictures for 40 minutes!! If you come here take your pictures and let those who were eating dinner enjoy themselves as well. It was awful. Maybe the staff who walked by them several times could have told them to go sit down or to leave as they were disturbing everyone in that area. Next is more a warning, don't go on karaoke night. The singing/songs were fine but it was so stinkin loud! Like maybe turn down the bass or volume. It's not a night club. I definitely want to go back but not on a Saturday!
google avatar

Kirk D.

Yelp
Snoopys is a fun place to eat. Great location, right on the water. Bulk of dishes fried. The fried clam stuffed jalapeños very good. The rest is good, fried well. The restaurant is older, sit out back if you can find a table. And good ice cream upstairs next door!

Susan M.

Yelp
Love the coleslaw and biggest best fried shrimp!!! Fun place but the outside odor sometimes!! Karaoke is always fun!!

Roslyn D.

Yelp
This was my first time here. The food and drinks were ok but nothing really special. The best thing that I eat was french fries. The best experience was enjoying and capturing the sunset. That made up the disappointment in the food selections...absolutely amazing!
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Best fried fish sandwich and I've had them all over!! We haven't been many times and this dish never disappoints. Their curly fries are a fave too.

Lindsay C.

Yelp
Overpriced and awful. wasn't very clean. The food was terrible and we spent $73 on crappy crab cakes with little pieces of shell in it. Super disappointing. parking was terrible Too.
google avatar

Hillary P.

Yelp
For a water side, fish fry, super casual, feet in the sand, kind of restaurant this is definitely a spot for your fish fry fix! There is designated parking in the oyster shell parking lot and a conveniently located desert stop adjacent to the restaurant. Once you come inside all food and drink orders are at the counter and seat yourself. Established in 1983, the restaurant interior is definitely vintage seaside decor with boats and historical area photographs inside the main area. The restaurant is heated by an antique boat boiler. The fried cod was by far one of the best examples of fried fish we've ever had; Super light, not greasy, and a wonderful flavor. The fried shrimp again, wonderfully light and not over breaded or fried. Both of these were just excellent examples of wonderful menu items. Having come from Chesapeake Bay area the crabcakes were a bit of a disappointment, mostly filler, I would recommend passing on this line item. There are a number of local brews available at the bar along with some wine options for folks looking to have a drink while looking out over at the bay. This was a really cute place for a very casual meal. Recommend that you check this out when you're in the area.

Terry V.

Yelp
Sadly, snoopys has gone downhill. Portions are small and quality poor. We had the crab cakes and the gumbo. Both had little to no flavor. The only redeeming product was the peel and eat shrimp but at $24 for 10 shrimp it didn't make up for the other food. Probably will not be coming back, which is a shame as this is where we as a family have been coming for over 30 years.
