Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

Google
Yes, Luis... our server... this Snooze in San Diego, IS better than the one in Scottsdale! 😆 Luis was great server, friendly efficient and really did serve! The food was very good. I really enjoyed the link sausage, and the pumpkin pancakes (cooked smaller upon request) were very good. We enjoyed them just wirh butter and the pumpkin flavor popped. Nice fresh eggs, cooked as ordered. We were in a bit of a time crunch and Luis brought the check when requested. Very nice experience, especially enhanced by Luis.

Google
Our friends recommended this place, and we were so impressed with the friendly service and extensive food selections. Our server Ricky welcomed us by letting us know the menu was very flexible and they were willing to work with us. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced and a variety of portion sizes to match your needs.

Google
Our favorite San Diego brunch restaurant. The food is always Delicious with good portions. Service is so great. The awesome drinks compliment the food.

Google
You can tell we loved it by our last photo! Ha. This place is incredible. I have been to a couple of locations and this one was just as amazing. The food is beyond delicious. My husband is still talking about his pancake and I LOVED my bravocado toast. The flavors are so good! Our server was so chill and great and the atmosphere was busy and fun. Our wait time was short for a Saturday morning and we were happy with our entire experience. 10/10

I had a truly wonderful experience at Snooze AM and want to thank the incredible staff who went above and beyond to ensure my safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Haley was kind and thoughtful in helping me find a seat that allowed me to feel safer. Daniel was so kind to come out and say hello and even brought water and coffee, even though that isn’t Daniel’s role, which I deeply appreciated. Rico was respectful and considerate, keeping appropriate distance and asking for consent before petting my dog. Rico also took great care in taking my order, making sure nothing included allergens, and helped me create a delicious burrito. Angie was incredibly kind and came outside to personally inform me of important food safety concerns related to my allergies, which meant the world to me. Yasmin was also so thoughtful in bringing me a to-go container. Everyone ensured my safety and made it possible for me to eat and be seated comfortably without having to go indoors, allowing me to feel genuinely safe. I was able to sit at a single table in the shade with plenty of space for my dog, without feeling that maskless indoor dining was putting my health or life at risk. The food was outstanding—an extremely delicious, piping-hot burrito, generously stuffed and perfectly wrapped, with the crispiest hash browns, the freshest eggs, and the most delicious corned beef hash. The coffee was phenomenal: deeply rich, flavorful, and stayed warm the entire time in the cutest yellow mugs. Thank you again to everyone at Snooze AM for such a caring, respectful, and wonderful experience. I am truly grateful.

Google
Really great food, service and experience overall. It was so great not to have to break the tie between the specialty pancakes and omg fresh toast by doing them all on a flight. The grits were the best ive had in a long time, no additional seasoning needed (savory). My Mr loved the gluten free pancakes and was glad he could get a pancake flight too. Sometimes, the gluten free menu is limited and he doesn't get many options, at Snooze, he had the same experience he'd have if not for the food allegey. All was very good! Everyone left full and happy.

Google
A little old school diner, A little brunch vibe, a LOT of delicious. I’ve been to snooze a handful of times, each time there is a new cocktail or entree I’m obsessed with! A must-try for breakfast and booze lovers alike!

Google
This is one of my favorite places for breakfast and it never disappoints. If you are looking for a good quality, then this is the place! The OMG French toast is so delicious and addictive. The atmosphere is casual and okay not like your 5 star restaurant but the customer service is good.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were in San Diego for vacation and wanted to go out to breakfast. We found Snooze on yelp and decided to go since I love pancakes. Before, my boyfriend was not really into pancakes, but after eating at Snooze he is a pancake lover like me!! So thank you !! lol We had a pancake flight along with OMG french toast and it was all AMAZING. So flavorful, we fell in love with everything on the first bites. Will definitely come visit again when we're in the area again :)

Yelp
This place is my hands down favorite spot for breakfast and just hanging out. They have a cast of characters here who are fun to be around and who all work as a team. Nock takes my order and makes me feel like family, Luis brings my food with a smile and then another sweet girl brings my to go order. Go team! They have great music playing and today was my first time dining outside on a pleasant sunny fall morning. It's not a weekend so the traffic noise is quiet. I devoured the garden harvest omelet stuffed with asparagus, zucchini, mushrooms, peppers and topped with an amazing cream cheese veggie sauce and avocado slices. The side spinach salad with pepitas and tomatoes and Parmesan is a perfect side for those that love their veggies like I do!! Yay This place is always stellar so y'all better bootscoot over and enjoy. Plenty of menu options for everyone!

Yelp
This is a pretty popular brunch spot/chain, so expect a wait if you come during peak brunch hours. Parking in Hillcrest can be tough, but I was able to grab a metered street spot not too far away. For food, we tried a few different items. The OMG! French Toast was indulgent, sweet (but not overly) and rich. The Habanero Pork Belly Benny was also good, sweet and savory. On the flip side, the Habanero Pork Belly Breakfast Fried Rice was underwhelming; the portion was very small, and the rice itself tasted hard and undercooked, so I'd skip that one. My friend ordered their seasonal pumpkin pecan pancakes but I didn't get to try that one. We also ordered their seasonal pumpkin coffee, which was festive and sweet, but a little too light on the caffeine for my taste. Service was friendly and fast considering how busy the place was, and the staff kept the energy positive. Overall it's a solid brunch spot in Hillcrest.

Yelp
Was in town from NorCal and found this gem on Yelp. And when I tell you this place did not disappoint, this place played NO GAMES! Everything was AMAZING! We came in as a table for 7 and we were immediately accommodated. The servers were all attentive and helpful Now for the food.. we ordered the pancake flight (which was 10/10 delicious) and the bacon which was the perfect combination of spicy and sweet. I ordered the pork belly fried rice which had so much flavor that I did not want to eat anything else after it just to keep the flavor on my tongue! The burrito was also good and flavorful. My kids had chocolate chip pancakes that were also a hit! The fruit bowls that came with their food was so sweet and juicy! I mean I have no complaints and am sad I'm leaving because we don't have this at home.

Yelp
Great breakfast... love the seating and vibe. Our server was super friendly, had great knowledge of the menu and was very happy to serve us, love that he enjoys his job. I got a corn beef hash, and upgraded my side to a OMG French toast, and got a breakfast burrito with both red and green sauce. I wish breakfast was a little cheaper...

Yelp
Loved the upbeat atmosphere here at Snooze! Definitely was impressed with the large selection of menu options. So many delicious choices of food and cocktails to choose from. The food was so delicious and they serve nice size portions. I had the shrimp and grits. My dish was so flavorful. Highly recommend! Service was super quick and excellent :) Excited to try the location here in Vegas!
google avatar

Yelp
We came in for a brunch, a little before noon. Very cute decor and staff were friendly. Only little issue we had was cleanliness. The floor under our table was a bit dirty and my husband's utensil had dried food stuck on it. However, the food was pretty good. The pancake flight was delicious. The OMG French Toast was interesting and pretty good. It's stuffed with mascarpone cream and topped with strawberry and toasted coconut shreds. For some reason, it didn't come with maple syrup. It wasn't super sweet and I still liked adding the syrup. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. Overall, they have great food and I would recommend!

Yelp
Ambiance was chill...decent music and cartoon was playing. First time coming here and it was worth the trip. Bfast tacos with chicken sausage was nothing spectacular...basic tacos. If your greedy like me, order the pancake flight... I did strawberry shortcake, cinnamon roll and blueberry pancake and the crab cake Benedict. The strawberry shortcake was good but it tasted like an original buttermilk pancake with crumbles and strawberries. The blueberry was an average blueberry pancake...the star of the plate was the cinnamon roll pancake!! That tasted just like a cinnamon roll with the perfect balance of cinnamon and nuts. The crab cake Benedict came on a brioche bun not an English muffin like most do. They use real crab and the hollandaise tasted different..not bad..just different. But everything was very good. This is definitely a breakfast spot to stop by.

Yelp
Super cute brunch spot that serves flavorful food! Came in on a weekday and it was not busy, plenty of seating and waiter was very attentive. So many options to choose from. The denver omelette was filled with cheese ham, onions, red bell peppers with a side of hash and choice of toast or tortilla. Now the shrimp and grits was our favorite! It was packed with flavor and extremely filling.
google avatar

Selena R.

Yelp
Busy neighborhood during a week day, we were able to get seated right away (party of two) I would consider this place more of a fast food breakfast than an intimate restaurant. The place had music loud enough to hear your own conversation which was a delight to not scream over each other as for the food 2/5 frankly Rady's children hospital serves better quality.
google avatar

Lex N.

Yelp
I had the hostess with the mostess ! She was super informative & took care of our table. She had great recommendations!
google avatar

Char B.

Yelp
okay for 10AM their drinks are strong LOL. Got a monte Cristo came with a nice side salad. Forgot what the other one was I think it was some sort of eggs Benedict with krab or salmon surrounded by pesto. Pretty good too. Staff is nice, lots of seating. Good brunch place. Parking either on the street if you're lucky or in the parking structure underground nearby.
google avatar

Vic A.

Yelp
The food here was amazing. It was my first time eating shrimp and grits and I plan on trying it again. The food was very flavorful. I wanted more!! Service was amazing. We had a nice size table and ambiance was great. Plenty of seating as well. The drinks were strong and tasty. The prices were very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Yelp
The vibes were there for a random early Thursday dining experience. The music was great and the host Cameron was great. Very helpful and smiling it made me feel welcome. The food came out hot and we ate it fast! Thanks to the chef - we recommend this spot!! All food options did not disappoint

Yelp
Visiting San Diego for kids spring break and decided to look for a great blast place near airport. Found this place on yelp with 8k reviews. We found street parking but two streets up which was great. Now food! We ordered Cheddar and jalapeño omelette with chorizo added Cinnamon roll pancake Hot chocolate milk Latte Taking it from the top, the omelette was 5/5 but the hash browns were not great, I expect them to be crisp and hot and seasoned it missed all the three points Cinnamon pancake had too much cinnamon for kids but they enjoyed it till they could take it Hot chocolate was amazing, kids rated it awesome Latte was nice and hot The service and ambience is 5/5 . Our server was the best, her name was Taylor.. She gave us a sheet of things to do in the area which was super kind

Yelp
I've tried Snooze in three different cities... Colorado (the OG), Charlotte, and San Diego. I think I've cracked the code: Snooze is basically the brunch version of going on a date with someone who's great on paper but somehow you leave not feeling a connection. The menu is creative, the flavors pop, and the presentation makes you want to snap a picture before digging in. The portions? Let's just say if you've got a grown-man appetite, you're going to need a second breakfast lined up. For what you pay, you expect to roll out of there stuffed. Instead, you leave wondering if stopping for In-N-Out otw home is socially acceptable after "brunch." Spoiler: it is. The vibe is cool, the service this time wasn't bad, and I get why people like it but after three different Snooze locations in three different time zones, I'm still waiting for that magical, "Ah, so THIS is why everyone's obsessed" moment. Until then, Snooze feels more like a solid side quest than the main mission of brunch.

Yelp
The wait time online was a little deceiving but overall we had a great experience. The circular chairs in the middle are unique but felt cramped. The staff was attentive and kind. The food was very good but the portions felt small.
google avatar

Jean G.

Yelp
Excellent Togo with great food options. Lots of flavor. They had a breakfast burrito that was worth it for the price.
google avatar

Samantha R.

Yelp
Snooze was a delight! Upbeat and friendly environment and staff. There was a retro theme going on inside, but the space was large and had lots of tables. The Menu was unique and offered a little bit of everything. I could see anyone finding something there they would enjoy. Our server was very helpful and even gave us local tips as we were there on vacation. Loved it!
google avatar

Yelp
Just meh it was a weekday & I was getting my car serviced so I needed a place to hang for a couple of hours. Place was dead it's pretty big. All servers were nice, food was ok. I got the breakfast tacos I just wasn't overly impressed with any of it which is why I am giving 3 stars.
google avatar

Matthew B.

Yelp
Snooze is always a solid go-to brunch spot. They have a large menu with a variety of tasty options including bennies, sandwiches, omelets, pancakes. I have tried a bit of everything and I'd say they are all excellent. All tasty options depending on what you are looking for. They also have seasonal options giving me something new to try. Service here is always friendly. Great vibes that fit the brunch energy. Lines can be pretty long so I highly recommend getting on the waitlist on Yelp. Even then it can go over that amount of time so keep that in mind. Parking on the street is possible but hard to get to on the weekend. There is a plaza across the street you can park at which could be pricer than street parking. The ambiance of the place is really nice. Big open ceiling with lots of light coming in. Big windows on the outside that also let the light in.
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
We stopped in during the earlier hours and there was a nice crowd, but we didn't have a problem getting a seat. The decor was so modern and cute. Our waiter was so friendly and offered suggestions. I noticed they had a spicy Bloody Mary. I couldn't pass it up. It was spicy and delicious. I chose a breakfast bowl and it did not disappoint. The eggs were amazingly soft and flavorful. The salad dressing made the salad very tasty. I love the pickled onions and tomatoes mixed in. This was one of my favorite breakfasts I have ever had. I would absolutely go again.
google avatar

Yelp
I went to Snooze with my friends for a last minute brunch which they chose the spot. It was a nice spot and much bigger than I expected. Parking is street parking so good luck with that but there is a garage next door. Our server was nice and greeted us with good customer service although we got there a little less than an hour before close. I ordered the Spuds Deluxe with bacon and chicken sausage. Also, I got a blueberry pancake as a side. I loved the blueberry pancake which was nice and fluffy. It was a pretty big pancake as well so it was perfect for a side. The spud was not bad but it wasn't what I was expecting. I asked the waiter if it was a actual potato and she confirmed yes but it was actually hash browns. I know spuds to be big potatoes with selected fixings. However, it was good. The meat seamed a little lacking. I think that a nice sauce would have been a great addition but I added a little ketchup which worked too. lol the bacon was just a little off and I also tried the pork belly which was a lil spicy but just did not connect with my taste buds. Overall, I would definitely come back for the pancakes for sure!

Yelp
Made a special effort to go to Snooze before departing San Diego. And the special effort was required as I rolled around several side streets trying to park. So be wary ahead of time. Finally got to the restaurant and was immediately seated and orders taken. The server was very thorough in making sure my coffee, pancake flight and side of bacon were all as I wanted them. The food came in decent time and it all tasted great. I traded chocolate chip pancakes for the normal pineapple upside down pancake. I kept the cinnamon roll and strawberry shortcake pancakes that normally come along. The problem really was that every was lukewarm. The coffee, pancakes and bacon all should have been hotter. We have a hometown favorite that also does the specialty pancakes far better. Indeed their cinnamon roll pancakes are to die for. Snooze was nice, but it would have been nicer if everything was several degrees hotter. Fahrenheit? Spell it? IMPOSSIBLE. It gets a 3.8 rounding to 4. There's lots of other enticing options but I'd likely try somewhere else first.

Yelp
Had a late breakfast with a friend recently at Snooze on Fifth Ave. I hadn't been there in several years, not living close by. What a mistake! I had the best omelette I have ever had! The veggies were cooked to perfection and it was sprinkled with a zesty spice. Yum. My friend tried the trio of pancakes and all three were delicious! Not only was the food extra special, so was the service! Five stars for sure!!
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
We went here for Mother's Day. The fried rice was the best thing we had! The pancakes were average at best. The margarita tho... was FIRE! Overall for a chain restaurant it's solid.
google avatar

Lindsay N.

Yelp
It's been many many years since I last had Snooze and we were nearby and decided eat here. It was about 11 am, Monday, they had quite a bit of people inside but we were seated immediately. OMG French Toast: I first tried these a few years ago, and fell in love with mascarpone cream since. It has great flavor and makes this french toast delicious! I did think the inside was a little dry and wish it had more cream/sauce. Not shown on the menu, but you can get a half order for $10.95, but a full order is $14.50. I forgot what it's called but it was a weekday deal that comes with 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and your choice of toast for $10: I do like my bacon crispy but it was a bit overcooked/burnt for me. I'm not sure when they switch to the round hash browns but I liked the other version better. The parts of the outside were crispy but the insides were soft, nearly mushy. Overall, I do love the OMG french toast however the other breakfast options were pretty basic and nothing really spectacular.
google avatar

Lorna K.

Yelp
The only complaint I have is the music is too loud, but the ambience, service, and food is outstanding! The vibe is retro 60s. It is a great breakfast spot!!!! If you are in San Diego, visit this place!
google avatar

Lucie K.

Yelp
WOW! I am impressed. As someone with Celiac's disease, finding food that is both safe and tasty is honestly SUCH a challenge... but not at Snooze. Not only was their menu incredibly well labeled, but my server (I think their name is Cameron possibly), gave me the confidence to eat with their explanation of the outstanding allergy precautions taken. The food was AMAZING. I truly feel so grateful to have found a new Celiac-friendly restaurant with a super tasty menu! The drinks were awesome too!! The mimosa with *just a splash* of cranberry and orange juice was perfect. All around an amazing experience - definitely one I recommend!! 5 star food, 5 star service!
google avatar

Marilyn A.

Yelp
Stopped by on Memorial weekend before a soccer game for a quick bite. Saw a crowd of people waiting but that was for large parties. Parties of two like us were being seated right away. They have a set of corn hole boards set up outside just in case you do have to wait. Monica helped us out, she's such a bubbly fun server. Food is okay nothing really wow or with great taste. This is the second time I stop by this place, I don't seem to learn. LOL
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
Navi and Kiki, Thank you so much for my custom order this morning. Not only was it delicious, but Navi took the time to make everything perfectly packaged and easy for me to put together later. Everyone there always is so kind and friendly. I appreciate you

Yelp
Love this place! I came for brunch and the whole experience was awesome. We were eyeing the pancake special but didn't want a whole stack, and our server overheard us and brought us a mini pumpkin pancake on the house - it was really nice of him. And it was delicious! I really enjoyed the egg white scramble with chicken sausage - healthy and yummy, love the sauce it comes with. And the $5 mimosa deal? Can't beat it.

Yelp
This was our first time. Interior reminded me of the old time diners. It was clean, comfortable and nicely lit. We had a very accommodating server who got us settled in and relaxed in no time. They have a variety of breakfast, lunch and brunch offerings. I had the Monte Cristo which was served open-faced. Modest size not too small not too big. Hubby had the best corned beef hash of his life. Yes, we recommend trying Snooze. They offer a simple experience for the that time of day and it is perfect. What would make them 5-Star? Refresh the coffee and water more frequently, offer suggestions if customer is humming and hawing.
google avatar

Jonathan D.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast after picking up my friend from the airport since we were starving. We were seated immediately, despite the restaurant looking pretty busy which was a nice surprise. Our server immediately took our drink order and came back shortly to take our food order. I've never been here before, so I played it safe and got the a classic breakfast with toast, eggs, and sausage. Don't remember what my friend got but he loved it! Drinks were pretty delicious too, and although they didn't taste strong, you definitely could feel a slight buzz!
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch places! Have been to many locations and it is consistently great. Love the pancake flight and the spuds deluxe. Breakfast burrito is massive! Cute comfort diner energy with yummy food and great drinks!
google avatar

Juzenne C.

Yelp
we've gone here several times in the last few years and we always know we'll get a good solid breakfast at snooze. Their prices are pretty standard for a brunch spot and they have enough options for everyone in your party. The service is always great and attentive. It's pretty bright inside with their big windows so there's a lot of natural light.

Nicole W.

Yelp
Order a buttermilk pancake and a protein bowl to go instead. I got this. I was a bit disappointed with how it was presented. I received barely any meat or egg in my protein bowl, just plain spinach. We asked for maple syrup and butter on the side and didn't get any or any utensils with our order.
google avatar

Shar M.

Yelp
Snooze is a lively eatery serving great food with a side of sass and I'm here for it! Upbeat music and smiling servers make the environment a vibe. I ordered the jalapeño cheese and mushroom omelet and it was everything I hoped it would be. The bacon here is legit too. Thick slabs with syrupy sweetness made me order two plates. RIP to my arteries. Parking is at a premium especially during great weather so either walk or uber unless you want to pay for parking. They also have a nice outdoor patio. They serve brunch until mid afternoon so all of you in the hangover crew can still get fed upon waking. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Udyot K.

Yelp
Simply exceptional!! Quality, service, and food!! The ambience is pretty casual and brunchy. Jalapeño omelette was pretty delightful and the butter was out of the world. Pumpkin latte which is a fall special was delicious as well.
google avatar

Sheila C.

Yelp
Went to Snooze in Scottsdale a few years ago and it was amazing food and drinks. This time, it was horrible. The food was covered in grease, lacked flavor and I ended up with a stomach ache the rest of the day. The service was great, the server was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant has high ceilings, very contemporary feel and cool decor. Sadly, it was a big disappointment to the friend I brought for his first experience with Snooze. It will be our last as well.
google avatar

Angela F.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant! Staff is very nice food is really good. Lots to choose from. There wasn't any dairy free options and not any vegan options.
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
A long wait even while joining the waitlist. Our first server was rude and then they switched servers and the experience was a lot better. The food was good, they have a decently large menu. The tacos were good and so were the cinnamon roll pancakes. The smashed avacado Benny had the biggest slice of tomato and kinda ruined it. They did not have any soda or ginger ale.
google avatar

Abigail E.

Yelp
Literally everything was perfect. Honey oat milk latte was delicious, jalapeño cheddar omelette with the house made cream cheese was AMAZING, and the homemade raspberry pepper jam was some of my favorite jam i've ever had. Their pancake of the moment was cookies and cream and it tasted like straight cake for breakfast in the best way. The interior is so cute and classic and from the moment you walk in everyone is so friendly. Jose is the best server EVER with the best recommendations. Will be coming back ASAP.
google avatar

Gabriel M.

Yelp
The habanero pork belly eggs Benedict are to die for.--pro tip, carefully spread the jam all over each egg before cutting! The place is always really busy, but waiting for a table is always worth it. My wife loves the cinnamon bun pancakes too. She says the roasted pecans go perfect with them.
google avatar

Kristine C.

Yelp
Woke up super late on a Sunday and my gf was craving lunch. We brought our dog as there was an outside patio seating area. The outside patio area was quite small, but we didn't feel crowded at all. We were able to join the waitlist online and thankfully were able to get seated within 20 minutes! Food is always consistently good. My gf and I usually order the bella bella benny, but today we wanted to try something new and was not disappointed. I think the most underrated item that I ordered was the orange juice. It was so refreshing! There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll have to find street parking. Staff was friendly, but oddly enough our food came out quick, but it took us another 10 minutes to actually get utensils to start eating.
google avatar

Bailey H.

Yelp
What a great breakfast place. It has a fresh and innovative menu. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We used the waitlist and it worked great for us. The pancakes were fun and sweet. The Benedict's were made perfectly. And there are no complaints with the classic snooze.
google avatar

Lance F.

Yelp
So here we go, came for breakfast here first time, first off the service was absolutely fabulous that started off the day wonderfully then they brought the food and the day got better we had the biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs delicious biscuit and gravy the eggs were top-notch fresh super orange yolk which is fantastic. I had the Benedict Duo I upgraded cuz I wanted to try two different one I had the ham Benedict and the habanero pork belly Benedict and both were delicious we ordered a order of french toast regular they have so many different French toast and pancakes they have a creme brulee pancake that I want to try next time I come in. They also have a pineapple upside down pancake which sounds wonderful and they have other types of French toast this was the basic one and it was delicious highly recommend this place service great, food great and the prices are reasonable for breakfast it is really really nice Chef driven food.
google avatar

Jude S.

Yelp
Spectacular service and excellent French toast. The habanero pork belly fried rice was delicious and the coffee menu was pretty elaborate.

Yelp
Got seated in less than 5 minutes on a Saturday morning around 9:30am. I did get on the waitlist through yelp and was third in line but when I walked in they seated us right away. The food was pretty good and had some leftover. The service was great. The only thing was the drinks weren't as sweet as I thought it would be.
