Google
You can tell we loved it by our last photo! Ha. This place is incredible. I have been to a couple of locations and this one was just as amazing. The food is beyond delicious. My husband is still talking about his pancake and I LOVED my bravocado toast. The flavors are so good! Our server was so chill and great and the atmosphere was busy and fun. Our wait time was short for a Saturday morning and we were happy with our entire experience. 10/10

Google
This is one of my favorite places for breakfast and it never disappoints. If you are looking for a good quality, then this is the place! The OMG French toast is so delicious and addictive. The atmosphere is casual and okay not like your 5 star restaurant but the customer service is good.

Google
Wow, what an incredible experience! We’re on a journey from Atlanta and stumbled upon this fantastic brunch spot. The place is beautifully decorated and has such a charming vibe. Abbey, our server, was absolutely fantastic! We’re already planning our next visit, especially since my company is based here. The French Toast was neat and the Peanut Butter maple aioli was simply scrumptious! Can’t wait to return! THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS AS WELL!!!!!!!

Google doesn’t apparently like it when I copy and paste my FB review of this place so I made it as a photo since I’m too lazy to rewrite it. Overall, this is a great spot for breakfast. Go read the first picture and you’ll see all my gripes. I gripe allot.

Google
A beautiful cafe, with great food and very friendly staff! We had breakfast of an omelette and pancakes. Both were delicious and our waiter, Louis, was very attentive. Highly recommended!

Google
Our favorite breakfast spot in san diego, the best of the best 👌 Our server, Deb, she's always helpful, nice, and welcoming. The food is fabulous. 10/10 everything is delicious, but the pineapple upside-down pancake is a must !!!! The restaurants have a good vibe and great music 🎶

Google
Breakfast here was so enjoyable. Snooze has a great vibe. I love the table layout. Cameron was an awesome waiter. He had great attention to detail, was quick with any requests, and friendly- all the attributes of great service!

Google
We had a fantastic experience at Snooze and the Hillcrest neighborhood. Our goal this trip was to try new food and Snooze didn't disappoint. Their creative menu choices and innovative combinations hit all the right notes

Yelp
First time here and I am soooo impressed! Atmosphere is breezy, servers are AMAZING and the food was so good I wanted to lick the plate! Monica was our server and she was not only personable but super engaging and responsive! Thank you for the birthday pancake and making my day special!

Yelp
Never Again!!! I really wanted to like Snooze, but this was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. The food was just okay, and the portions were tiny. You're paying full-on restaurant prices for snack-sized plates. Our server was clueless! Didn't know the menu, answered everything with "uhhh," and didn't refill our coffee once. He messed up my daughter's order, and while he did fix it, the corrected plate somehow looked worse than the first one. No care at all. Then he just disappeared. Turns out he went on break without telling us. The person covering didn't introduce himself or even acknowledge our table, we were just left there wondering what was going on. They also forgot our pancake order, never brought it out, and still charged us for it. We had to point it out to get it taken off the bill. And the cherry on top? The food gave us the worst stomach ache afterward. All of us. Just a bad experience from start to finish. Definitely not coming back.

Yelp
Ambiance was chill...decent music and cartoon was playing. First time coming here and it was worth the trip. Bfast tacos with chicken sausage was nothing spectacular...basic tacos. If your greedy like me, order the pancake flight... I did strawberry shortcake, cinnamon roll and blueberry pancake and the crab cake Benedict. The strawberry shortcake was good but it tasted like an original buttermilk pancake with crumbles and strawberries. The blueberry was an average blueberry pancake...the star of the plate was the cinnamon roll pancake!! That tasted just like a cinnamon roll with the perfect balance of cinnamon and nuts. The crab cake Benedict came on a brioche bun not an English muffin like most do. They use real crab and the hollandaise tasted different..not bad..just different. But everything was very good. This is definitely a breakfast spot to stop by.

Yelp
The food here was amazing. It was my first time eating shrimp and grits and I plan on trying it again. The food was very flavorful. I wanted more!! Service was amazing. We had a nice size table and ambiance was great. Plenty of seating as well. The drinks were strong and tasty. The prices were very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Excellent Togo with great food options. Lots of flavor. They had a breakfast burrito that was worth it for the price.

Yelp
The vibes were there for a random early Thursday dining experience. The music was great and the host Cameron was great. Very helpful and smiling it made me feel welcome. The food came out hot and we ate it fast! Thanks to the chef - we recommend this spot!! All food options did not disappoint

Yelp
Snooze was a delight! Upbeat and friendly environment and staff. There was a retro theme going on inside, but the space was large and had lots of tables. The Menu was unique and offered a little bit of everything. I could see anyone finding something there they would enjoy. Our server was very helpful and even gave us local tips as we were there on vacation. Loved it!

Yelp
So here we go, came for breakfast here first time, first off the service was absolutely fabulous that started off the day wonderfully then they brought the food and the day got better we had the biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs delicious biscuit and gravy the eggs were top-notch fresh super orange yolk which is fantastic. I had the Benedict Duo I upgraded cuz I wanted to try two different one I had the ham Benedict and the habanero pork belly Benedict and both were delicious we ordered a order of french toast regular they have so many different French toast and pancakes they have a creme brulee pancake that I want to try next time I come in. They also have a pineapple upside down pancake which sounds wonderful and they have other types of French toast this was the basic one and it was delicious highly recommend this place service great, food great and the prices are reasonable for breakfast it is really really nice Chef driven food.

Yelp
We stopped in during the earlier hours and there was a nice crowd, but we didn't have a problem getting a seat. The decor was so modern and cute. Our waiter was so friendly and offered suggestions. I noticed they had a spicy Bloody Mary. I couldn't pass it up. It was spicy and delicious. I chose a breakfast bowl and it did not disappoint. The eggs were amazingly soft and flavorful. The salad dressing made the salad very tasty. I love the pickled onions and tomatoes mixed in. This was one of my favorite breakfasts I have ever had. I would absolutely go again.

Yelp
Had a reward offer for a free snooze classic breakfast with a $25 purchase so my husband and I went at noon on Friday of Memorial Day weekend and we got a table right away! We were promptly seated and I knew that I wanted the farmers market bowl which I had had the last time and it was absolutely delicious. My husband was excited to have the classic breakfast with three scrambled eggs, hash browns, delicious toast with bread from bread and cie bakery, and a large sausage patty. We added an order of two blueberry pancakes for $10 from their special weekday menu so that my husband would not need to eat for the next few hours the saving me from another meal to cook.! Abby was our waitress and she took good care of us. The food came promptly, my coffee cup was kept filled, and we got extra syrup because it is real maple syrup and delicious. Everything is quality here and the ambience is wonderful. I look forward to coming back here frequently to enjoy a great meal and just a good time . There's usually plenty of parking but be prepared to pay the meter.

Yelp
Spectacular service and excellent French toast. The habanero pork belly fried rice was delicious and the coffee menu was pretty elaborate.
google avatar

Joshua L.

Yelp
We went here for Mother's Day. The fried rice was the best thing we had! The pancakes were average at best. The margarita tho... was FIRE! Overall for a chain restaurant it's solid.
google avatar

Marilyn A.

Yelp
Stopped by on Memorial weekend before a soccer game for a quick bite. Saw a crowd of people waiting but that was for large parties. Parties of two like us were being seated right away. They have a set of corn hole boards set up outside just in case you do have to wait. Monica helped us out, she's such a bubbly fun server. Food is okay nothing really wow or with great taste. This is the second time I stop by this place, I don't seem to learn. LOL
google avatar

Lorna K.

Yelp
The only complaint I have is the music is too loud, but the ambience, service, and food is outstanding! The vibe is retro 60s. It is a great breakfast spot!!!! If you are in San Diego, visit this place!

Yelp
This was our first time. Interior reminded me of the old time diners. It was clean, comfortable and nicely lit. We had a very accommodating server who got us settled in and relaxed in no time. They have a variety of breakfast, lunch and brunch offerings. I had the Monte Cristo which was served open-faced. Modest size not too small not too big. Hubby had the best corned beef hash of his life. Yes, we recommend trying Snooze. They offer a simple experience for the that time of day and it is perfect. What would make them 5-Star? Refresh the coffee and water more frequently, offer suggestions if customer is humming and hawing.
google avatar

Juzenne C.

Yelp
we've gone here several times in the last few years and we always know we'll get a good solid breakfast at snooze. Their prices are pretty standard for a brunch spot and they have enough options for everyone in your party. The service is always great and attentive. It's pretty bright inside with their big windows so there's a lot of natural light.

Yelp
I went to Snooze with my friends for a last minute brunch which they chose the spot. It was a nice spot and much bigger than I expected. Parking is street parking so good luck with that but there is a garage next door. Our server was nice and greeted us with good customer service although we got there a little less than an hour before close. I ordered the Spuds Deluxe with bacon and chicken sausage. Also, I got a blueberry pancake as a side. I loved the blueberry pancake which was nice and fluffy. It was a pretty big pancake as well so it was perfect for a side. The spud was not bad but it wasn't what I was expecting. I asked the waiter if it was a actual potato and she confirmed yes but it was actually hash browns. I know spuds to be big potatoes with selected fixings. However, it was good. The meat seamed a little lacking. I think that a nice sauce would have been a great addition but I added a little ketchup which worked too. lol the bacon was just a little off and I also tried the pork belly which was a lil spicy but just did not connect with my taste buds. Overall, I would definitely come back for the pancakes for sure!

Yelp
Snooze is always a solid go-to brunch spot. They have a large menu with a variety of tasty options including bennies, sandwiches, omelets, pancakes. I have tried a bit of everything and I'd say they are all excellent. All tasty options depending on what you are looking for. They also have seasonal options giving me something new to try. Service here is always friendly. Great vibes that fit the brunch energy. Lines can be pretty long so I highly recommend getting on the waitlist on Yelp. Even then it can go over that amount of time so keep that in mind. Parking on the street is possible but hard to get to on the weekend. There is a plaza across the street you can park at which could be pricer than street parking. The ambiance of the place is really nice. Big open ceiling with lots of light coming in. Big windows on the outside that also let the light in.

Yelp
Made a special effort to go to Snooze before departing San Diego. And the special effort was required as I rolled around several side streets trying to park. So be wary ahead of time. Finally got to the restaurant and was immediately seated and orders taken. The server was very thorough in making sure my coffee, pancake flight and side of bacon were all as I wanted them. The food came in decent time and it all tasted great. I traded chocolate chip pancakes for the normal pineapple upside down pancake. I kept the cinnamon roll and strawberry shortcake pancakes that normally come along. The problem really was that every was lukewarm. The coffee, pancakes and bacon all should have been hotter. We have a hometown favorite that also does the specialty pancakes far better. Indeed their cinnamon roll pancakes are to die for. Snooze was nice, but it would have been nicer if everything was several degrees hotter. Fahrenheit? Spell it? IMPOSSIBLE. It gets a 3.8 rounding to 4. There's lots of other enticing options but I'd likely try somewhere else first.

Yelp
Snooze is a lively eatery serving great food with a side of sass and I'm here for it! Upbeat music and smiling servers make the environment a vibe. I ordered the jalapeño cheese and mushroom omelet and it was everything I hoped it would be. The bacon here is legit too. Thick slabs with syrupy sweetness made me order two plates. RIP to my arteries. Parking is at a premium especially during great weather so either walk or uber unless you want to pay for parking. They also have a nice outdoor patio. They serve brunch until mid afternoon so all of you in the hangover crew can still get fed upon waking. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Abigail E.

Yelp
Literally everything was perfect. Honey oat milk latte was delicious, jalapeño cheddar omelette with the house made cream cheese was AMAZING, and the homemade raspberry pepper jam was some of my favorite jam i've ever had. Their pancake of the moment was cookies and cream and it tasted like straight cake for breakfast in the best way. The interior is so cute and classic and from the moment you walk in everyone is so friendly. Jose is the best server EVER with the best recommendations. Will be coming back ASAP.

Yelp
It's been many many years since I last had Snooze and we were nearby and decided eat here. It was about 11 am, Monday, they had quite a bit of people inside but we were seated immediately. OMG French Toast: I first tried these a few years ago, and fell in love with mascarpone cream since. It has great flavor and makes this french toast delicious! I did think the inside was a little dry and wish it had more cream/sauce. Not shown on the menu, but you can get a half order for $10.95, but a full order is $14.50. I forgot what it's called but it was a weekday deal that comes with 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and your choice of toast for $10: I do like my bacon crispy but it was a bit overcooked/burnt for me. I'm not sure when they switch to the round hash browns but I liked the other version better. The parts of the outside were crispy but the insides were soft, nearly mushy. Overall, I do love the OMG french toast however the other breakfast options were pretty basic and nothing really spectacular.

Yelp
Just wow! Was just searching for a nice brunch spot in San Diego and this place popped up. Waiting list on yelp was super helpful. Don't forget to check in upon arrival so they can seat you faster. The crab benedict was delicious. A light portion if you're just looking for something just right. Worth every penny cause the crab cake is filled with crab meat. Love the green juice as well. My family also had the OMG French toast and shrimp and grits. They enjoyed it so much that we decided this is our go-to spot from now on. The servers here are energetic and friendly. They will check on you every once in a while to make sure everything is ok. Definitely coming back real soon!

Yelp
Easily among the best breakfast eateries in San Diego County. It was easy to find parking nearby. The location is excellent. Sometimes they have lawn games to play outside the restaurant while you're waiting to be seated, although my party and I had no problems being seated quickly by kind, friendly, and personable staff members, even with lots of other happy customers enjoying peak restaurant time. The restaurant has a fun and unique atmosphere, giving a fun colorful 1960s aesthetic in a large open area where you also still feel like you have your own intimate tables and space between you and your party members. It has charm to spare. The food more than delivers. There are so many amazing varieties of options available, and and more opportunities for variation are available on top of even those options. Everything that is delivered is executed expertly; everything from savory eggs, to pancakes smothered with fruit, and hot cocoa, and Matcha lattes that are foamy are exquisite and delicious. The prices are also reasonable as well, a rarity and a welcomed one. There is truly something for everyone here.

Yelp
Love this place! I came for brunch and the whole experience was awesome. We were eyeing the pancake special but didn't want a whole stack, and our server overheard us and brought us a mini pumpkin pancake on the house - it was really nice of him. And it was delicious! I really enjoyed the egg white scramble with chicken sausage - healthy and yummy, love the sauce it comes with. And the $5 mimosa deal? Can't beat it.
google avatar

Gabriel M.

Yelp
The habanero pork belly eggs Benedict are to die for.--pro tip, carefully spread the jam all over each egg before cutting! The place is always really busy, but waiting for a table is always worth it. My wife loves the cinnamon bun pancakes too. She says the roasted pecans go perfect with them.
google avatar

Jonathan D.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast after picking up my friend from the airport since we were starving. We were seated immediately, despite the restaurant looking pretty busy which was a nice surprise. Our server immediately took our drink order and came back shortly to take our food order. I've never been here before, so I played it safe and got the a classic breakfast with toast, eggs, and sausage. Don't remember what my friend got but he loved it! Drinks were pretty delicious too, and although they didn't taste strong, you definitely could feel a slight buzz!
google avatar

Fabrizio C.

Yelp
We went right at open and the food was alright. There wasnt much flavor but the pork belly was intensely sweet for some reason. Maybe thats how they cook it? But wasnt a fan. There wasnt much flavor in the food itself and wasnt worth the price either. Hashbrowns were alright too and the only thing that filled me up. Server was cool. I was hangry that morning and usually hangry = everything will taste amazing, but this didnt.
google avatar

Yelp
Woke up super late on a Sunday and my gf was craving lunch. We brought our dog as there was an outside patio seating area. The outside patio area was quite small, but we didn't feel crowded at all. We were able to join the waitlist online and thankfully were able to get seated within 20 minutes! Food is always consistently good. My gf and I usually order the bella bella benny, but today we wanted to try something new and was not disappointed. I think the most underrated item that I ordered was the orange juice. It was so refreshing! There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'll have to find street parking. Staff was friendly, but oddly enough our food came out quick, but it took us another 10 minutes to actually get utensils to start eating.
google avatar

Bailey H.

Yelp
What a great breakfast place. It has a fresh and innovative menu. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We used the waitlist and it worked great for us. The pancakes were fun and sweet. The Benedict's were made perfectly. And there are no complaints with the classic snooze.

Yelp
Visiting San Diego for kids spring break and decided to look for a great blast place near airport. Found this place on yelp with 8k reviews. We found street parking but two streets up which was great. Now food! We ordered Cheddar and jalapeño omelette with chorizo added Cinnamon roll pancake Hot chocolate milk Latte Taking it from the top, the omelette was 5/5 but the hash browns were not great, I expect them to be crisp and hot and seasoned it missed all the three points Cinnamon pancake had too much cinnamon for kids but they enjoyed it till they could take it Hot chocolate was amazing, kids rated it awesome Latte was nice and hot The service and ambience is 5/5 . Our server was the best, her name was Taylor.. She gave us a sheet of things to do in the area which was super kind
google avatar

Udyot K.

Yelp
Simply exceptional!! Quality, service, and food!! The ambience is pretty casual and brunchy. Jalapeño omelette was pretty delightful and the butter was out of the world. Pumpkin latte which is a fall special was delicious as well.
google avatar

Casiana O.

Yelp
Been here 3 times and they never fail to impress me! Customer service has always been great - never had a problem with anyone who has helped us. I personally LOVE their French toast; I think about it daily and always look forward to it whenever we visit. They do get pretty busy and sometimes, the waitlist is over an hour. Luckily, you're able to join the waitlist through Yelp if needed! The only downside is parking. We have a Tundra thats lifted so parking is tricky so just be mindful what vehicle you bring (or hopefully you get lucky with street parking).

Yelp
Went to Snooze in Scottsdale a few years ago and it was amazing food and drinks. This time, it was horrible. The food was covered in grease, lacked flavor and I ended up with a stomach ache the rest of the day. The service was great, the server was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant has high ceilings, very contemporary feel and cool decor. Sadly, it was a big disappointment to the friend I brought for his first experience with Snooze. It will be our last as well.
google avatar

Catherine M.

Yelp
A long wait even while joining the waitlist. Our first server was rude and then they switched servers and the experience was a lot better. The food was good, they have a decently large menu. The tacos were good and so were the cinnamon roll pancakes. The smashed avacado Benny had the biggest slice of tomato and kinda ruined it. They did not have any soda or ginger ale.
google avatar

Maribel V.

Yelp
They food is delish and their service is great I Love coming here every time we go to San Diego
google avatar

Brook P.

Yelp
Snooze continues to impress with its consistently delicious menu and top-notch service. The Bloody Mary is perfectly balanced, and the Spuds Deluxe are a must-try--crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. Why It Stands Out: Seasonal Specials: Always something new and exciting to try No Wait (Sometimes!): Got lucky with a quick seat at 10 AM on a weekend Efficient Service: Staff is always attentive and friendly A 4-star favorite for reliable, tasty brunch with a fun vibe!
google avatar

J H.

Yelp
ALL THE FLASH. NONE OF THE GLAM. Food was terrific. Service was abysmal. It sort of negates the fun. Had to ask for everything to ad-nauseum & then you end up feeling a bother. Enjoy the delicious looking food photos below.
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
Got seated in less than 5 minutes on a Saturday morning around 9:30am. I did get on the waitlist through yelp and was third in line but when I walked in they seated us right away. The food was pretty good and had some leftover. The service was great. The only thing was the drinks weren't as sweet as I thought it would be.
google avatar

Dinora M.

Yelp
This place is sooo good! First time here and we loved it. Our drinks were great, food was delicious, service was superb. It took a little bit if time, but definitely worth the wait.
google avatar

Audrey L.

Yelp
Although I prefer coming to Snooze in-person, I recently order takeout from this location and it was just as good as if I were dining in! I ordered the Spuds Deluxe and added some extra toppings. It was delicious and a huge portion! I've been to Snooze hundreds of times but it was my first time getting the Spuds Deluxe and it might have to be my go-to dish from now on.

Yelp
FUXS GIVEN = 5.0 ******************* Food = 5 The breakfast fried rice is outstanding. Exactly what I was looking for. UX = 5 Love the look of this place, retro hip vibes, Jetsons playing on the TV and great tunes. Service = 5 Great service.

Huyen N.

Yelp
Tip: Add yourself onto the Yelp waitlist This place was a vibe! Open, bright dining with a nostalgic playlist blasting. We didn't have to wait too long for a table but the food took a long time because apparently, our order was stuck behind a party of twenty, per our server. I can't remember his name, but he was nice enough to bring us a complimentary cinnamon pancake (not exact name) while we waited. Let me tell you, it was one of the best pancakes I had in a while. It wasn't because we were hungry, but the pancake itself was fluffy, and the sauces just blended well together. Onto our entrees, we had shrimp and grits, OMG French toast, and a Benny duo. The shrimp and grits didn't look traditional, but it was good. The French toast was a little disappointing, with no OMG factor for me. I didn't try the Benny duo but my guest said the chile verde benedict was better than the pork belly. Overall, it's a cool place but I think I enjoyed the atmosphere more than the food itself.
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
I did not know there are other locations of snooze, so I came here totally by accident as this place seems like the only one with virtual waitlist. given weekend mornings - lines and wait can get long. we waited on virtual line for about an hour. but i do appreciate the virtual line because its like we get to wait but also walk around there is also corn hole outside for people to play while they wait this one is at Hillcrest and since its more city like, parking is a bit hard. so remember to save time for parking when you count your time planned in. i parked a few streets down in the neighborhood - but there are also public parking lots i believe around. the food is delicious! we wanted to try to pudding frenchtoast but it was already out by the time we got there, and it was only 10a on a sunday! otherwise though, all the food came out perfect. would come back again! the waiter and everyone's so nice!

Yagiz E.

Yelp
I had such a great experience at Snooze in Hillcrest! I stopped by for breakfast and was lucky to be served by David. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and made the whole visit feel extra warm and welcoming. I ordered the Benny Duo and went with the Chile Verde Benny and the Bella Bella Benny. Both were absolutely delicious, with totally different flavor profiles. The Chile Verde was bold and savory with a comforting kick, while the Bella Bella Benny was lighter, herby, tangy and beautifully balanced. I loved being able to try two completely different styles in one dish. At the end, I decided to try a half order of the French toast, and I'm so glad I listened to other reviewers. It was super flavorful and surprisingly light. The perfect sweet finish to an already amazing meal. I don't live in San Diego, so I may not get the chance to come back anytime soon, but if I did, I'd absolutely make a return trip. Highly recommend!

Yelp
What a cute place. Our waiter was amazing. He greeted us right away and coffee was at our table in a flash. Everything about this place and the menu was great. We are so excited to find out there is one in our home town of Las Vegas. I love the Benedict duo. It was so nice to be able to sample two different ones and they were both great. I would say out of the two I tried, (Bella Bella and the smashed avocado) the Bella Bella was my fav. It was just so different. My husband had the corned beef hash and said it was really good. The eggs were cooked so perfect. We will for sure be visiting the one in our town.

Anita S.

Yelp
First time here, visiting from the Bay Area. Food was amazing. Drinks were good and service was excellent. Will def be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Visiting for Sea World, needed breakfast. Ordered for takeout. Wait staff was friendly and humorous. Food was good for casual dining, portions were excellent! I omelette was huge with a generous portion of avocado. One minor issue, parking in front is very limited. I got impatient and parked a block away to pick up food.
google avatar

Yelp
Haven't been to snooze (any location) in years. So when a friend visiting stated she wanted it I immediately said yes as visions of the pineapple upside down pancake danced in my head. This location in hillcrest is great (street parking not bad and garage so close). The waitlist was easy to get on and so the wait was minimal. Our server was great. Charming and funny and dealt with us being silly. Food as always is drool worthy. From avocado toast to chilaquiles to pancakes and don't forget bacon or drinks!!
