Sip Coffee at These Charming Cafes in Portland and Beyond

"This cute Korean cafe is located next to the the Fields Park in the Pearl, with a variety of coffee options and Korean desserts. Serving cold brew made with Coava beans, pistachio lattes, and non-coffee drinks made with matcha or ube, it has a little something for everyone with charming flair. The shaved milk ices are essential in the summers, but customers should not skip the apple waffle either. Customers can take their drinks to the Fields Park which has a dog park and playground or ample space for people watching." - Levi Rogers

Snow Bunny Cafe is a bright, cheerful Korean-inspired spot with a fun, creative drink menu. The black sesame latte is smooth and nutty, and the Tokyo Banana tea latte offers a nostalgic, sweet banana flavor that stands out. They also serve bingsu—Korean shaved ice topped with fresh fruit like mango or strawberry. Light, refreshing, and perfect on a warm day. The chicken salad sandwich is a surprise highlight. While the bread is pretty basic, the filling is fresh, peppery, and has a great crunch, with arugula adding a nice herbaceous kick. Pastries come from St. Honoré and are fine, but not the main draw. The owner is friendly and helpful, and the space is clean, bright, and welcoming. A solid choice if you’re looking for something different in the area.

Overall average. Minimalist coffee shop aesthetic. Prices match to the area. I wouldn’t say I will go out of my way for this coffee shop, but if I’m in the area, I’ll grab a cup.

New favorite cafe. Heard about this place and sooooo excited it lived up to the hype. Truly the best dog friendly cafe in Portland. Enjoy some indoors with your pup while you sip your latte, tea, matcha, or enjoy Bingsu or even a croffle. They do have sandwiches as well if you want something more hearty. Plenty of seating. Bathroom is clean. Right across the street is an off leash dog park so recommend wearing out your pooch first. There are outdoor tables for a sunny day. We sat inside and ordered two lattes and a strawberry bingsu. The bingsu was a good personal portion for $12 and had great flavor with finally chopped strawberries and sweet cream. Super cute pattern art with a cute bear face. Staff was welcoming to us and our Great Dane. Love the warm and cheery atmosphere. We will be back!

Google
I had to be in the Portland area for an appointment. I had a couple of hours until I had to pick up my person. So, I searched for a place to have a great cup of coffee and came across this beautiful place nestled in a high-rise. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting. The owner is so welcoming and friendly that she treats you like a guest in her home. They have custom-designed coffee, and it is DELICIOUS!!! I’m having my second cup as I write this review. If I lived in the Portland area, “Snow Bunny Coffee“ would be my spot! You must try this gem of a place!

The Pistachio Latte and Croffle are so good! They even put real pistachios in the latte. Ube cream with Matcha yummy

Google
Great selection of coffee, pastries, and even drinks for kids:) I ordered an iced "black sesame latte" and it tasted amazing! My kids really loved a cute bear art in creamy hot chocolate. The brown cheese Croffle (Croissant Waffle) with vanilla ice cream was incredible as well. It's a must try!!

Google
Me, my sister and brother got here and immediately the atmosphere was very comforting! me and my sister both got matchas and my brother got the dulce de leche latte and both were amazing!! matcha was strong and not too sweet, very thick and earthy, great quality:) and the dulce de leche latte is PERFECT if you like sweet coffee!! while we were enjoying our drinks, one of the employees(or maybe he was a manager/owner) brought us a free biscoff croffle, and it was to die for!!!!! we all appreciated the sweet gesture and the amazing food and drinks💗💗💗definitely give this place a try;)

Yelp
Yummy coffee. Super friendly baristas. Dog friendly indoors. Seating for various size groups. Good location directly across from a small dog park. Awesome place to stop after letting the pooch have a play day. Highly recommend stopping here for an afternoon indulgence.

Yelp
Beautiful floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides of the cafe brought it so much natural light, and their light fixtures were warm and cozy. The soft music really set a relaxed, cozy tone. I also loved all the dark wood fixtures and furniture. Vibes alone, Snow Bunny was already a 10/10 for me. We ordered the pomegranate refresher and the Seoul marshmallow, and I loved both of them. The refresher was really tart and refreshing and the Seoul Marshmallow latte was very sweet and floral. Snow Bunny single-handedly skyrocketed up into my top 3 Portland cafes.

Yelp
Oh my god?? The Biscoff latte was phenomenal! If you love a good sweet latte, this is the place. The Biscoff cold foam was thick and creamy--so indulgent. That said, the latte itself was a bit watered down and not strong enough for my taste, but my sister loved it! It's located in a beautiful part of town, right in front of a dog park. Also a great spot for students to study!

Yelp
Small and cute coffee shop in the Pearl District. This is a cute coffee shop with good seating & great coffee. I love the way they give you a mug for water! I always drink a glass of water before my coffee so appreciated their mugs for water! Located in a good area - it's easy to park here to meet someone, gaze outside or go for a walk! Enjoy!

Yelp
nice coffee spot in the pearl. matcha was a bit milky for my liking, but solid. mango bingsu was pretty good, not also solid. would go back to try some of their other drinks looked rlly interesting!! on the pricier end for a cafe, but still very delicious.

Yelp
The perfect spot! Fun seasonal drinks Seating inside and out Dog friendly I got the cherry caramel mocha, and it was a delicious drink I've not seen anywhere else. It's like a little off the main popular downtown streets, so it was quiet and could be the perfect place to work. Then, across the street, a dog park. So my little buddy got to run around as I enjoyed coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
Snow Bunny has to be one of my favorite coffee shops in Portland in the past few years. I love the clean minimal aesthetic and it's typically quiet inside, lending itself to a calming atmosphere. It's also nice to people watching (or more like dog watch because of the dog park across the street) since their windows are huge. I was in the neighborhood so I knew I had to stop by. The owner is so friendly and the baristas here have all been so lovely. I've tried many items on the menu and they've kept me coming back to try more. This time I got one of their spring special drinks, the Spring Rose Mocha. It had a hint of rose flavor that paired well with the chocolatey mocha. I highly recommend to try if you're a cafe lover!

Yelp
Snow Bunny Cafe feels like the kind of place where eclectic meets effortless. The tables are roomy enough to spread out your books, laptop, and--inevitably--a well-plated snack that screams, take a picture before you eat. The tables are spacious, perfect for spreading out lecture notes or a laptop, though they still invite a touch of indulgence. The music is unobtrusive yet curated enough to remind you that someone here cares about the details. The croffle--golden, crisp, and just decadent enough--was a welcome distraction. It feels crafted, not just made, with its thoughtful layering of textures and sweetness. I have yet to try the coffee, but if the care given to the croffle is any indicator, it will likely justify a second visit. Snow Bunny leans into its charm without feeling overly curated. It is a space that understands its purpose--a quiet nook for study or reflection--but does so with just enough personality to feel memorable. I cannot give it five stars yet because I have not tried the coffee--but I am confident it is worth returning for. Snow Bunny has left a strong impression, and I will be back soon to complete the experience.

Yelp
Such a cute shop, convenient location as well! I had the biscoff latte and it was absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Small coffee shop with baristas who actually make quality drinks the way you request them. Yeah, it's basic but the pumpkin spice latte was delicious and the matcha was made perfectly. Oh, pro tip, add the marshmallow syrup to the matcha, it's delicious. Service was good and they have a bulletin board full of pups. (There is a dog park next door just fyi)
google avatar

Yelp
It's a super cute cafe with unique flavors and offerings. I'd like to come back and try more of their drinks. I got the Tokyo Banana tea latte today, and it was nice but very mildly flavored - maybe that is just the nature of a tea latte vs a latte with espresso. Nonetheless, I was impressed that they offered Coava coffee, St. Honore pastries, and even have bingsoo shave ice.
google avatar

Betsy G.

Yelp
Ordered a matcha latte for $6.50. I asked for no syrup or sweetener. It came ridiculously sweet and very bitter. I didn't finish it. Also, it was about 90 in here today. It was about 55 outside but sweltering to an uncomfortable level inside. Didn't linger.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in the Greenway neighborhood. Delicious coffee and pastries with such a cool and relaxing vibe.

Yelp
Great selections of coffee and shaved ice, and cute place to meet up with friends. We ordered the mango shaved ice which can easily be shared between 2 - 3 ppl, and also ordered the matcha drink which wasn't too sweet but perfect on ice.

Greg M.

Yelp
Friendly shop in the Pearl district. A little hard to park but the atmosphere is very cozy and the drinks refreshing. Good menu variety and fast uptimes on orders

Yelp
Cute little place. When it's warm, it's nice to sit outside and watch all the dogs run around on the park across the street. This is a stone's walk from the water. Enjoyed their coffee and had a little egg salad sandwich along with it. Quirky, cute, nice staff, And overall a great little local place to hang.

Yelp
Living in Seattle there is a lot of options for Bingsu (Korean Shaved Ice), but I grew up in Portland and never really saw any. So while in town today I came to check out Snow Bunny around 4:15pm, only to find out from the barista that they stopped serving their Bingsu at 4pm, CRYING ON THE INSIDE!! But that's okay, still wanted to try out their drinks as well. I went for the Tokyo Banana drink from their Signature Tea Lattes, which the barista said that many customers have commented it tasted like the classic banana milk drinks. Well, it was more milk than banana, but I really enjoyed the Tokyo Banana drink!! I would be interested in trying out the refreshers they sold as well. Although I sadly wasn't able to try their bingsu this time around, I will surely come back again soon for it. Fingers crossed!

Yelp
Can this place even be called a cafe? First of all, the server did NOT look like she wanted to be there. Now let's talk about quality.... they use syrup for all the flavorings. The signature tea latte didn't even have any "tea" in it. Specifically, the Tokyo Banana latte had banana syrup + milk. Embarrassing. The ube latte tasted really bad. None of us finished the drinks. Waste of money and time. Would NOT recommend.

Yelp
Snow Bunny is what I think of when I think of Pacific Northwest coffee shops. We needed a place to get out of the sun, enjoy a nice iced beverage, and for me to recover from my condition acting up. The menu isn't super original or exciting, but does offer many of the standard drinks and small bites that you might expect from a locally-owned coffee shop. The major difference between Snow Bunny and $tarbucks is the overall execution - it's fresher, cleaner, and just better tasting (IMO). It may be slightly more expensive (maybe not)... but I enjoyed it much more than a typical trip to Starbucks and got to learn a bit more about the local lore and how they plug into the Portland coffee scene. The barista/cashier was genuinely curious and concerned given my look/state and was kind, fast, and kept checking in on us after giving us our drinks and sparkling water. She even took a few minutes to chat with us about our trip and what we had seen/done. She just seemed to legitimately care about the customers (she made rounds for the 3-5 tables/seats occupied). The coffee is great, perfectly executed, and priced more than appropriately. The employees are cheerful, helpful, and seem genuinely happy to serve you. This is a place that people love what they do, and the atmosphere resonates with that sort of vibe.

Yelp
Really cute Korean cafe with some AMAZING korean cup and plateware that I legit am ordering from korea right now I liked so much. I got a ginger honey tea and while the ginger tasted fresh and spicy it was way too sweet and was missing the acidicity of some nice lemon. They had a ginger lemon tea on the menu but I think it was made with that premade gel-like stuff you can buy at asian markets. Maybe that's just my bad for not ordering the ginger lemon tea but I think it's strange to separate the two, there should just be one refreshing ginger lemon honey tea on the menu. But I imagine not many people are ordering that at a coffee shop cafe either, heh. I also got a strawberry bingsoo which had fantastic shaved ice texture and a tasty strawberry jam but I'd personally say it was way too much strawberry jam as you barely got to taste the great milky shaved ice flavor and texture at all. Maybe just a fluke of the day but I'd definitely be down to come back again.

Yelp
Visiting from Florida and was looking for a place that had coffee and drinks for kids. We stumbled upon this amazing location. There was only one barista and she quickly made 15 drinks for my large family. Was kind and helpful. Lovely location, there's a dog park right across the street. The coffee shop has large windows so you can see people playing with their dogs as you enjoy your brew. We took some treats from the coffee shop and gave some to dogs. They leave out water bowls outside the coffee shop for the dogs too which is so thoughtful.

Yelp
Snow Bunny Coffee is a good cafe located in the Pearl District. I walked here so I didn't really check out the parking around the area. The employee working was nice and I liked that the space was spacious. My mango matcha latte was good. It had a bunch of chunks of fresh mango on the bottom of the cup. The matcha flavor was pretty light though. Overall, a good cafe but I wouldn't go out of the way to visit this one.
google avatar

Yelp
Parking - there's a few parking spots along the streets. This is a more local business so ppl just walk to the coffee shop. The baristas know many of their frequent customers orders. Great drinks as well. A good place to get a little work done. Music is a little on the loud side with a wide variety of songs.

Yelp
We stopped by today because we wanted some shaved ice. We tried snow bunny coffee and we're very pleased. The place has a very clean modern look but wasn't too overbearing. It has a lot of nice little quirks like the dog Polaroid showcase and the employee door that reads "Bunny Only". We were greeted by a lady who was very friendly and not too pushy. Just let us know to call her when we were ready. We got the mango shaved ice, a white chocolate mocha with an extra white chocolate squirt and lavender latte. The shaved ice was very good with fine shaved ice and lots of purée, condensed milk throughout the cup so it always had a good flavor. The white chocolate mocha with extra chocolate was actually chocolately. A problem I've had at other places is the extra chocolate never comes through but this time it definitely did. My wife said the lavender drink needed alittle more lavender but she still enjoyed it. Highly recommend the shaved ice for a nice cool treat whenever summer comes!

Yelp
I've been here 3 times now, and out of the 3 times, 2 of the times they were out of ingredients to make shaved ice (which was the reason I came here). Each time I was super disappointed and ended up just getting a random drink instead. Service is alright (I'll just leave it at that). The inside of the space is pretty big though with plenty of seating for you and your friends. They also have wi-fi, so you can study there which is a huge plus. My only bummer is how they never seem to have ingredients for the shaved ice (despite having it on their menu), or maybe I'm just unlucky ahah. But, their other drinks are still good so don't hesitate to try those!

Mys M.

Yelp
Young lady working alone very efficiently and professionally while still being friendly and helpful. Decor and location were nice. Pastries case didn't look like there were any GF options available. Didn't ask since the goal was to try their "bingsu." It's NOT Korean bingsu. It was okay and nicely shaved but would be more correctly labeled Hawaiian shaved milk ice. Honestly, it was overpriced for pureed fruit with shaved ice. Also, I'm not a fan of Coava coffee, so I didn't try anything else. Three stars for the staff, decor, and location but not enough to go back.

Jessica B.

Yelp
As part of my personal goal to visit all the coffee shops in the area, this one has quickly become a favorite. Not only is it super dog-friendly, but it has a spot adorned with pictures of dogs, which makes it feel warm and welcoming. The space itself is minimalistic yet inviting, with lovely views and easy access to Fields Park. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. They offer a variety of yummy syrups and different coffee varieties that cater to all tastes. One of my highlights is the shaved milk ice--an absolute treat on a hot summer day. The owner and staff are always friendly and make every visit a pleasure. This coffee shop is a gem that I can't recommend enough!

Yelp
Great service and ambiance. Loved my coffee and pastry. The almond croissant was so good! The croissant was buttery and flakey and the almond filling was so moist and nutty.
google avatar

Yelp
In coffee town it's nice when there's venue that offers a bit of variety. Many of the drinks here are Korean inspired. The Dulce de Leche was delicious (I know, not Korean.) The standout of the menu is the Injeolmi: layers of shaved ice milk with red bean, ground peanuts/almonds, and condensed milk. Like most Korean desserts it isn't overly sweet. So good on a hot day, unfortunately it melts somewhat fast. A great spot across from scenic Fields Park. The service was very friendly and fast. Hoping for some food options once they fully reopen.

Yelp
I've been doing some brooding and reflecting and that takes energy so I needed some caffeine to continue my mental marathon. I saw Snow Bunny on Yelp and knew the name and logo would give me a little bit of cheer along with a good dose of sweet sweet go go juice. There is something sorta surreal about to walking to get coffee here in Portland. I dunno what it is. This time I had my earphones in and noticed someone shouting to me but not looking totally insane... turns out I was just getting complimented on my boots. What a welcome surprise when usually people who are shouting at me are saying something not very nice. I arrived and walked in. They greeted me warmly and told me to let them know if I had any questions. I didn't. I ordered a dark mocha with normal milk. I guess I could have been more complicated as they had all sorts of choices. They quickly got my order made while I took in the bunny goodness. I started to think about how even a little bit of cute could be so bright and needed... Maybe in a past life I was a bunny? One with super long ears and a fluffy tail. My name was probably Abbie. Abbie Rabbit the normal! I certainly wasn't "the great" for that I am certain... perhaps my favorite food was rhubarb? I bet my best friend was ... Whoopsie. Order was ready and out I went to go enjoy my drink in the park. The drink itself was good. Perhaps a touch to sweet for me but then I am so very salty. I'd come back for a smile and good drink. I have to finish my bunny past life thoughts after all!

Yelp
Cute, minimalistic, modern cafe! We actually walked from our hotel to Try to go to Ovation coffee across the street one afternoon but they were closed when we got there. So we looked across and saw this cute cafe. It was really hot out so I decided to go with a simple iced black tea latte with light sweetener. My boyfriend got a hot caramel mocha. My iced tea latte was really good... not too sweet, I got it with nonfat milk. So refreshing as we sat and drank it at the cute park in the middle of all the high rise buildings. I wish they didn't put so much ice as it was a pretty pricey drink. The caramel mocha was really good too! I love the Coava coffee blend they use. The drink wasn't too sweet either. The staff was really nice too and their bathroom Was clean! Overall... a nice experience :)

Yelp
I finally got to check snow bunny. It was so good, had the strawberry shaved ice. I wish there were mochi on the shaved ice, but still great. The shop is very cute and pretty small. It has a clean modern feel. Side perk, it's across from a park that will often have puppies and their human pets around.

Robert M.

Yelp
Have been coming here for years. Always great vibe, coffee, and sweets. Very dog friendly. Overlooks Fields park. Wonderful place to hang.

Yelp
Egg Salad Sandwich - The bread is surprisingly pretty good, reminded me of the ones I had when traveled to the Asian countries. Would recommend trying Apple Jam Cream Waffle - Korean style homemade waffle . Waffle is pretty good, but not much flavor of the apple taste. It's either needed more jams in the middle or included as a side instead of the cream, then I think it'll be perfect- In my opinion of course

Yelp
A beautiful space that looks over trees lit up and a view of Fields Park reminded me somewhat of Korea with apartment buildings around, the cafe brings a cozy yet modern and comfortable vibe. The care of detail from the outstanding service and ease in ordering is great. With table service, we were checked in on and asked how everything was going, bus your own table at the end and all done. The counter to grab napkins, water, and silverware matches the interior with the clean looking wood. Metal silverware available upon request too. Onto the drink and desserts. The hojicha milk tea and matcha milk tea were given to us in glass bottles which are recycled. Fresh ones are made in glass cups which seems to be the case when the glass bottles are gone. Both had good tea flavor that was prominent through the tea. We got the injeolmi bingsoo which is packed tight and high in a single serving bowl. Appreciated that the red bean and milk (believe it is condensed) were served on the side though there was no injeolmi which is the rice cake on top. I think this was because we came in shortly before close. The soy bean powder though was very fine and rich, definitely smell and taste the nuttiness. The apple waffle was the highlight as we ordered another one because it was so good! Thin yet airy and crisp waffle with apple jam and whipped cream along the edges- perfectly sweet that isn't overpowering or too little. Extra whipped cream also given. The warm jam really is a game changer, perfect for the colder weather. With a variety of seating options, looking out at whatever the weather and spending time in this cafe just gives you a warm feeling. The portions seem to be a little on the smaller end but precision and detail that goes into each order is worth it!

Yelp
Environment: High ceiling, very bright and spacious-like with windows everywhere. Table sizes could range from 2-8 with a big table in the middle. Staff: He was friendly but kinda sad he was by himself, he had to make everything! No wonder they're hiring, help out at this super cute spot! Drink: first time drinking Cortado coffee. It's not as strong as an espresso shot but it's stronger than a cappuccino...hope that sorta helps. Anyways, it was $3.75 and I think it was strong enough. I can't do espresso shots but this had some steamed milk but still, it was on the stronger side. I enjoyed it! Food: my friend got an apple waffle and when we got it, it looked as pale as a peach. It looked undercooked. In fact, it was. When we ate it, it wasn't ready. It should be slightly brown since my friend had it before, too in the past. The apple flavor was present but very subtle. It didn't feel "filling" or have that "stuffed" feeling which was good. I haven't really tried any of their specialties...that's why I'm giving them 3 stars for now. If I ever go back to the Pearl District, I will visit that cafe again. P.S. THEIR BATHROOM WAS MASSIVE! and clean...lol.

Vicky W.

Yelp
felt very ripped off. drink was watered down and tons of ice. Had hardly any taste, was supposed to taste like pomegranate 6.00!!
google avatar

Liam D.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. I ordered drip, paid $5.50 for it, and then waited 20 minutes. The barista spent most of the time talking to her friend, who she let behind the counter to make drinks. Ended up leaving before I even got the drip.

Yelp
My fav cafe in the area around the parks. Delicious drinks. Yummy waffles. It's been cold so I haven't tried the shave ice yet. Really good service as well. Love the space, clean, new, modern, warm, woodsy furniture. Right now, the waffle have an apple compote spread and whipped cream. Not too sweet, quite perfect. Hopefully later in they have more compote options.

Yelp
Coffee from Coava beans tasted great. Shaved ice was refreshing on a hot summer day. And I have never seen shaved ice like this before. The shaved ice is so fine, white and fluffy. I initially mistook the shaved ice as shredded coconut, until it melted in my mouth and I realized it was actually ice.
google avatar

Shimeng F.

Yelp
Ordered their authentic shaved ice- InJeolmi, and it was delicious. I'm amazed by their shaved ice machine, which ensured the shaved ice is creamy and melt instantly. They have red bean, condensed milk, powdered red bean and a lot of almond. Really good taste, and I will give a 5start if they did not put so much almond in my cup. Literally having so much almond every bite. Super friendly service and they have a nice sitting area outside of the store.
google avatar

Haruka M.

Yelp
Not worth $10... it had no flavor and too much red beans... not worth the hype. It didn't have enough sweetness to it and tasted more like plain ice.
google avatar

Yelp
My friend got me a matcha strawberry and it was delicious. I decided to come and get one for myself. When i walked in and up to the counter i had to say hi cause she just stared at me. While i was waiting for my drink I watched the lady at the counter making the drink grab a dog treat. She was trying to give it to a customer with a dog but the dog kept licking her hand. She went and made my drink and didn't even wash her hands. So I ended up throwing away my $8 drink with tip. What a sad day. I was really wanting to come back but sadly I won't be.

Yelp
Cute Asian style cafe. The staff was very sweet and it's a great place for dog lovers - the area is filled with people walking their dogs. The hojicha latte (a Japanese roasted tea) was quite flavorful. I appreciate that they have a large variety of nondairy milks. My friend didn't love her drip coffee but said that it was "arguably good quality". The apple jam waffle is exactly how it sounds. A thin slightly crunchy waffle with apple jam (not apple butter) and whipped cream. Love that it is real whipped cream and the apple jam pairs well. Overall it's a nice place to meet friends or study (they have Wi-Fi and a restroom). The prices seem reasonable for the location. I definitely want to come back (when it's not freezing cold!) and try their bingsu - korean shave ice.

Yelp
Very cute coffee shop! Coffee tasted really good and the barista was very nice too. I made it half sweet and it was a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Great location as well.

Yelp
drinks were horrible. my sister and i got the lattes and they tasted like overpriced milk and syrup . we got both iced and hot and it was basically slightly sweet hot or iced milk. haven't tried the shaved ice but the coffee was not worth it. the seats were crowded as well. recommend ovation coffee or tea bar in this area .

Yelp
3/6: Came back with a friend and got the Seoul Marshmallow. It is soOooOooo good!! :) Friendly staff and clean environment with many doggies to see outside. Perfect sunny day for a walk, and great place to stop by whenever on the neighborhood.
