The workers at Snowdaes are so wonderful! Tonight, I called to inquire about caffeine content in one of their teas and later ordered on DoorDash. Immediately after I placed my order, I received a call from a worker informing me that my order contained caffeine and offered me a different drink to meet our dietary needs with no hassle or price adjustment. This is how customer service is done! Keep this young man around, he’s great!

Absolutely delicious! The workers there are a good vibes. Not a long wait.

Google
Super good treats! We got the egg shaped pastries with shaved ice cream on top and with other toppings such as boba. The pastry was super warm and cooked well. And with the cold ice cream on top, the palettes mixed wonderfully. The serving size definitely can fill up two people. The wait for the food wasn’t that long either, and it was worth the wait.

Google
We came at 1pm. Place was not crazy busy. We got the shorty special and green tea special. The shorty special has egg waffles, ice cream, red bean and Nutella. Green tea special is shaved ice matcha snow, red beans, almonds and milk. They made everything fresh in front of you. The shorty special had some good textures. The egg waffles and ice cream was a perfect combination. The green tea special was creamy and crunch. Definitely, a delightful treat. Price was reasonable. I will be back

Google
Visited here while traveling Thanksgiving weekend. I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba. Service was fast as there were no other customers at the time. Loved it!

Wai L.

Google
An assortment of both shaved ice and Hawaiian ice and various teas. Our shaved ice was both smooth and flavourful. The Ube flavor was surprisingly good!

Jaydine L.

Google
It was sooooo good!!! I had the s'mores snowdae and it was amazing!! My bf had shaved ice in the flavors lemonade, lemon lime and blue raspberry and his was super good as well. He also opted for us to try to current bubble tea special and it was pretty good, too. Neither of us have had bubble tea prior to that.

Yelp
Ok, this isn't ice cream, it's better ! A cornucopia of flavors over shaved ice with a base of delicious options . . . my daughter suggested it & I was done before she took a breath !! Yummy !! I had the Thai Dye & will be glad to go back !

Yelp
This review is actually for Oct 2023 (I'm late I know) Stopped for something nice after dinner. I really like the selection of items they have but I couldn't fit any more food in me so I got an Ube Milk Tea. I loved it!
google avatar

Yelp
The boba was good here, they had diverseingredients I have not seen offered at different boba shops. The vibe inside was nice but somewhat lacked seating.

Yelp
Love this place!!! I love that they have classic asian drinks and desserts w but with their own unique twist. My kids both loved the mango shaved snow w cereal toppings. I tried the milk bubble tea which was also very good! Spot is very clean and well kept w parking! Highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for icy asian desserts
google avatar

Shanti B.

Yelp
The Asian shaved ice is tasty. Kids got toppings with it but they wished they had just gotten the ice. Overall affordable and tasty.

Yelp
Snowdaes seen Betterdaes. This place have new ownership or something? We use to love going here when it first opened. And regularly visited since the dessert offerings from shave snow to teas, ice cream etc., were all so good. And still is. But over the years it seemed like the transitioning staff has caused this place to degrade. Service is still decent but the facility is such a hot mess now. Floors were sticky from all the desserts people drip--staff should be regularly cleaning, and can't even begin with the bathrooms--yowza. Maybe it was wrong timing when I took my kid in but they were gas station filthy. Had to evacuate real quick. I completely understand--the staff can get very busy, but after the rush, possibly take a look and see if they need attention? Tables were all sticky--staff didn't seem to clean them regularly. The dessert offerings here is still holding up but definitely needs attention when it comes to cleanliness. It's obvious it's not the highest priority at the very moment of our recent visit.

Yelp
The fudge ice cream and waffles that we had was delicious! The three of us had it and it was delicious, filling and overall exactly what we needed on a hot day. The service was nice and the staff were all very sweet. The ambiance was nice, mostly teenagers and young adults coming in- but it was a nice vibe. We also played a game of sorry- as there are games for ppl to play with.

Yelp
A MUST DO! 4 & 1/4 STARS! Native Californian Jennifer Hang moved to the East Coast for her college education. She decided to stay & start a business called Snowdaes in Lowell MA. Their Specialty is Shaved Snow which is a combination of Shaved Ice & Ice Cream blended together. It's frozen & becomes Shaved Snow. It's then sliced into fine thin fluffy ribbons of various flavors. You can then add toppings too. Mango & Honeydew are 2 of their most popular flavors. We got the Mango Snow which was Very Good & Refreshing. They also serve other treats like Hawaiian Ice, Asian Ice, Egg Puffs, Lemonade Tea, Bobble Tea & other treats & concoctions. They have a Large Menu on the back wall. The Parking here is Free & is less than a hour's drive from Boston. If you are coming here for the first time, I would recommend you go with their Signature Shaved Snow. Even if it's cold out & snowing in the winter some people still come here & want their Shaved Snow. Hysterical. LOL! It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really Rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Yelp
Ok, this place was good. The service was quick and the young lady gave good recommendations. Will go there again when we are in the area.

Yelp
Decent bingsoo place with other shaved ice offerings. There's also bubble tea and egg waffles. The bubble tea selection wasn't that impressive - I would say the egg waffles and shaved ice are more worth it here. Eat in area could be made more comfortable - a bit old and dingy.

Mychael G.

Yelp
Come here all the time for the boba make sure you know your order though or customers will attempt to take or play stupid and still try to still take your order It's do or die here

Yelp
An amazing dessert shop in Lowell that serves shaved snow/ice, bubble tea, and more. I came here on a Saturday night and the inside doesn't look like much, pretty bare, but the are many options to choose from on their menu including different specialty drinks. I got cotton candy shaved snow with boba and mochi and white rabbit bubble tea. The shaved snow was fluffy and super sweet. There were a lot of toppings on the side maybe a little too much mochi and not enough shaved snow. The white rabbit drink with crystal boba was also super sweet, but at least it did have the subtle taste of white rabbit candy mixed in. The blue crystal boba made the drink quite aesthetically pleasing to look at with the cute penguin logo for snowdaes. I hope to be back another day to try out their other drinks and shaved ice.

Yelp
Love the drinks here! We visited Snowdaes with family during a recent visit to MA. Clean establishment with great customer service and an extensive menu. Had their bomb Mass lychee drink twice and it was amazing both times! Love the lychee slushee and fresh strawberry and mango fruit on top. Lots of seating if you plan to have your drinks there. They also have a variety of table top games available.

Yelp
We discovered this place on our way back home from Merrimack Outlets and was quite pleasantly surprised. Since then visited multiple times more during winter months haha. Their shaved snow is quite authentic Korean style shaved snow that I've had many times in NYC and the prices are decent too. It can get quite busy actually but the wait is typically worth it. I usually end up not adding any additional toppings as it's sweet enough already so just to show you they're not skimping on the shaved snow by watering it down. Really hope they eventually venture out to Boston area but for now will have to settle the occasional 40 min drive out here for some delicious shaved snow :)
google avatar

Yelp
The drinks are pretty good! They should update the posters since it felt a bit old though. The pandan coconut is great however, I feel the coconut made the overall dish to sweet. Overall , there are many solid options to try!
google avatar

Yelp
My go-to drink here is the L Tea! It has green milk tea, basil seeds and grass jelly. But ever since I learned of the Green Tea special ice cream, I would get a craving for it all the time. First of all, it's ice cream, made of my favorite thing, matcha!! Second, it has red beans and almonds, which I also enjoy. The prices are very reasonable, too. There used to be tables and chairs to dine-in, but nowadays, you can pick up or order in person for take out.
google avatar

Lee Joy V.

Yelp
Was craving for something sweet after dinner and the shorty special (original puffle, powdered cinnamon & sugar, vanilla ice cream, strawberries (fresh), Nutella, condensed milk) certainly hit the spot!
google avatar

Kal S.

Yelp
Ordered 3-bomb Mass lychees and honeydew shaved ice with condensed Milk. No fruits in the bomb mass lychee and no condensed milk on the shaved ice that cost an additional 0.50! I know there's an inflation but damn they ain't gotta keep those toppings!

Yelp
Wow. Who knew shaved snow /ice could be this yummy ? Green tea? What?! The toppings are fun. Portions are huge. A small feeds two !!! Can't wait to try the bubble teas
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
There was a really strange smell that I noticed as soon as I walked in like a combination of dirty feet and sweat, it made me nauseous almost immediately. The music was too loud for such a small space and my drink was too much for not enough. I won't be coming back and I do not recommend.

Yelp
Snowdaes is my favorite place in Lowell, MA for dessert after a meal! Their specialty shaved snow is very flavorful, and you can customize what you put on which I love. I always get either The Cottonfetti or Thai Dye! White Rabbit Milk Tea (milky rabbit candy milk tea , crystal boba): Overly sweet, I couldn't really drink it. I didn't realize how sweet it would be. I love the crystal boba however and love that it was blue! Ube Milk Tea: Too sweet, tasted a little chalky. The "L" Tea (thai green tea, milk , basil seeds, grass jelly): MY FAVORITE! Snowdaes are the only people I know that I can get thai green milk tea! Not too sweet, not too bland, it's the perfect combo.

Yelp
Came here for Hawaiian shave ice and ended up leaving with taro milk tea with boba and egg puddle. Great place specially in the summer and the servings are pretty big.

Yelp
Unimpressed. Very young people serving and unmasked. Not very clean. Order was not accurate. Too much socializing and inattentiveness causing long waits and crowds as well. They need to update the facility and have better management.

Yelp
It's a quiet evening and I'm on the couch with my fiancé and there are moments he just utters "Snowdaes" blissfully under his breath. He loves Snowdaes and I do too. It's everything we wish we could have in our area but we're happy to make a pit stop here or travel past state lines for it. Lots of variety for on the go drinks or decadent desserts. We Belong Together may be one of my top favorite specialty drinks of all time. It's not too sweet but is a satisfying refresher after a long day (or in our case during a long drive). The basil seeds add some textures to the refreshing flavors. The "L" tea is also delicious for its take on a milky drink but not too overpowering. Pandan puffles see what my fiancé loves and insists on getting his own because he no longer can just split one with me (and I don't blame him). His favorite drink is a custom one with lychee green tea as the base and lychee jelly, and basil seeds. Shaved snow is also something we get here every time (even when we have to feed each other in the car driving home to have it). My fiancé's first time trying shaved snow was here with the Rainbow Mango preset as the choice. He was blown away and couldn't believe he went 27 years without trying this delicacy. Since then we've gotten shaved snow every time. There's definitely something for everyone! We've gotten local Lowell friends addicted to Snowdaes (sorry not sorry friends) and are elated every time. still can't believe there's still even more to try than our usual favorites. Until next time Snowdaes! We love you (way too much)

Tegan S.

Yelp
Very interesting flavors! I never would've thought to put Thai tea-flavored shaved ice and fruity pebbles together but it works so well, especially with the mini mochi! The lychee is also so good. Food is ready quick and it's a chill place to hang out!

Yelp
Disclaimer: I am a sucker for bubble waffles AKA "egg puffs". Snowdaes basically had me sold when I learned that they had pandan bubble waffles so I already knew I was going to like this place before I even tried it. Snowdaes has a wide variety of desserts: egg puffs, shaved snow, Hawaiian ice, and bubble tea. As soon as I saw the "pandan coconut" on the menu - I knew I had to get it. It comes with a pandan bubble waffle base and is topped with coconut ice cream, almonds, condensed milk and coconut flakes. Flawless. The marriage of flavors from the pandan waffle, condensed milk and coconut ice cream are amazing. Honestly if you drizzle condensed milk over anything, I'll like it. The pandan egg puff was cooked perfectly. It made me want to buy individual pandan egg puffs for the ride home. On the day I went, they were selling taro milk tea for $2. What a BARGAIN. Milk tea is almost never that cheap. Two of my friends opted for the taro milk tea and really enjoyed it. My other friend got the coffee milk tea and was raving about it. I ordered an iced jasmine milk tea with boba and was given a green-colored drink that tasted nothing like jasmine milk tea...one of my friends brought it back up to the counter to ask a staff member if that was truly jasmine milk tea and the girl who made it was insistent that it was. There was NO taste of jasmine. Jasmine milk tea is never green - it's usually a light beige color. If I had to guess, I would have thought it was Thai Green tea. Wasn't a fan. Snowdaes is your typical AZN hangout spot = typical trendy Asian desserts/drinks + games for you to play...like JENGA!

Greg M.

Yelp
Those panang pastries are very tasty alone but then u put shaved ice cream on it and it's a delicious dessert. The service is super slow because it's always crowded Nice little spot
google avatar

Yaran S.

Yelp
I ordered Pear for aces and Pandan egg puff. Both were okay. I do have comments on my non filled up drink even if it's because I asked for no ice. Also it's disappointing that a dessert/drink place doesn't have WiFi. Even Bonchon next door has WiFi!
google avatar

Cherry L.

Yelp
Only place to get shaved ice in the whole state as far as I know! I love their offerings from boba, egg waffles, to shaved ice. Limited seating, but always worth going to no matter if you are hungry or not!
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times so far and have really liked the three different drinks I've gotten. Today I got the Thai tea flavored 'Dirtea' and loved it. They stock games for customers to play and it is a nice place to hang out. I could see this being a great place to bring your own board games with a group of friends or a casual date too.
google avatar

Rosie Q.

Yelp
Here's the thing, when it's conveniently located next to my go-to chicken wings spot in Lowell, I kind of have to give this place another shot. Sunset Jazz- Lychee strawberry green tea, aloe vera and mango pop. Tasted like pure sugar but I expected it this time! When your really craving something sweet, it's not bad. Overall Service: Still the same. I like that they made eye contact with me at least this time. That's a start. I'm going to have a human interaction with them one of these days and it's going to be glorious!
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
Came here for the Dirtea Thai tea which is a thai tea slush blended with oreos and boba. I would rate this a 10/10 for the authentic thai tea (not powder). Just the perfect amount of sweetness. Absolutely would get this again! The Dragon Lady drink wasn't as good as I expected. It was a pineapple and kiwi green tea with different jellies on the bottom and strawberry pop, but the drink itself tasted like syrup. You can't taste the tea at all. The pineapple also overpowered the kiwi but overall an interesting drink.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious shaved snow!! I need to get a different flavor because I keep getting the cotton candy flavor LOL it's so good. I always want to come here after classes!
google avatar

Priscilla D.

Yelp
First time at Snowdaes !! I love they had option of ice cream, shaved ice and Asian ice , and Hawaiian ice. They have few topping u can add. I had a lychee and passion fruit green tea !! Which was yummy and they have Thai milk tea also AND !! They let u mix !! Which is great because some place u go don't let u mix! The have games !! Being that we had 3 kids with us, it was great that they had games for us to play. Card games, board games, and more...

Yelp
This is a nice, clean place selling some innovative ice cream sort of things. I went for the perfect matcha. It was amazing. Matcha puff was the most outstanding thing in that combination. The combination of matcha puff, vanila ice cream, almond and mochi was very good. I also loved the mochi in that combination. A different kind of topping.
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
Very relaxing environment, staff is extremely friendly. We came here for dessert and it definitely hits the spot! The size portions are huge too! I definitely recommend coming here. I got the Thai tea shaved snow with condensed milk. Very soft and light and perfect amount of sweetness. The Milk Money was also a delicious drink. It has milk tea with grass jelly, basil seeds, and boba. The tea was very light and not too sweet. I definitely want to come back to try more desserts that they offer!
google avatar

Khoharu T.

Yelp
This is my go to place if I'm craving for a refreshing drink. I never had a bad experience . The staff are friendly. Im giving this a 3 star. Up until yesterday. Heard complaints about this 1 staff. (Wil find out). Have the worse attitude. Even her tone and body language tells it all. Seems like she forced herself to be nice. She placed my order on the counter, tossed my bag and walked away and said have a good day. You call that customer service?
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
I would give 4 stars for the puffle, Shorty's Special, only. Was not impressed by their bubble tea or customer service; they didn't even have the flavor of tea I ordered and didn't figure it out until I had been waiting 20 minutes. My partner got the Thai Dye and thought it was okay. Different for sure. Doesn't compare to the specialty puffle though. If you're going, would highly recommend you get one of those.
google avatar

Thu N.

Yelp
I love this little shop. I used to live in Boston and had to go to Chinatown to get egg puffs ice cream, shaved snow or good boba tea. But they have all 3 here. I actually like the egg puffs ice cream here better. And they have good specials as well on their fb. The serving is huge so the price is reasonable. I have no problem with the staff's service at all. Place is nice, clean and kid friendly. I had the short's special and passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly. They were both very delicious. We signed up for their reward program (I forgot what it has) and definitely will be back, especially for summer.
google avatar

Matthew Y.

Yelp
Awesome tea/ice/snack/boba place! I consider myself an avid boba lover, frequently going to Kung fu tea, teado, gongcha, lab cafe, etc... and this place stacks up against the best of them! What I love about snowdaes is the huge variety of different drinks/ice cream/slushes that they have. They also have egg waffles which makes the entire establishment smell amazing! Another plus is that the boba drinks here are on the cheaper side. A classic milk tea with boba (20+ ounces) is only $4.00!
google avatar

Kevin M.

Yelp
Good variety of flavors, types of cold desserts, and drink selection. Good value and plenty of parking. Tried two flavors of the shaved ice cream: Thai iced tea and taro. The flavors were on point! Unique presentation of the ice cream. 1 point off for uncleanliness of dining area and service.
google avatar

Patima I.

Yelp
We love to grab some snacks here after meal from time to time. It's the only place we could find for good decent Asian snacks. I would recommend for egg puffs and mangonada drink. Only down side for this place is a service from young Asian boy. Whenever he takes an order from us, he has kind of attitude and kinda of rude. It's just something like he is doing us a favor! But other than that it's ok place.
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
The taro hot milk tea was delicious and very filling. The shaved ice cream had a firm texture like hard ice cream and I expected a smooth texture like a firm soft serve. The condensed milk topping made it creamier. The green tea is matcha. The green tea shaved snow had great flavor. The Thai tea is a tea with a Jasmine hint. The mango smoothie with mango jellies is super good as well. The staff is super helpful and sweet.
google avatar

Teena N.

Yelp
This place is adorable, the workers are super nice and the dessert is delicious. I created my own from the menu, original with green tea shaved ice, toppings I put strawberry , bananas, condense milk and whip cream. It was great! :) ^- we went to eat then came here for dessert, this choice was definitely not too heavy shared between 3 friends. Tried the lavender milk tea, the drink was green and you can definitely taste the lavender in it. I accidently wacked it over when I was talking, but the cashier was super nice about it!! Thank you! Enjoy!
google avatar

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Came here based on photos that Leon K had seen. And I have to say, everything did look amazing... But the flavors were weird and not 100% -- I got smores which had untoasted marshmallows on top which was a weird consistency on top of the weird consistency of the 'ice cream'

Yelp
Snowdaes, the first place I was able to try some "shaved snow" and I was not disappointed by the outcome! This place is conveniently located in a complex that also has some restaurants such as a BonChon next to it, so this is a great place to go for dessert! The shaved snow as the texture of shaved ice, but has more of a taste and feeling of ice cream when you eat it. They have a nice variety of flavors and combinations of flavors "specialty snow" here. I got the strawberry cheesecake specialty snow which was great, it had some fresh strawberries on it and graham cracker. I also was able to try their original flavor which was good as well. The idea of going here for dessert is great, since it has many other options that I would like to try when I am in the area, from bubble tea, waffles, Hawaiian and Asian ices, and shakes. The egg puffs look interesting and heard good things about them too. A cool plus is that the interior looks simple, yet nice. This goes with the idea of just coming here, have a dessert, and hang out with friends especially since they have a small choice of board games here to play with as well. This is a place I would definitely come back to if I was in the area again.

Samantha O.

Yelp
I stopped by after soooo many long gone years and order a simple mangonada and there were no mango!? I went to the website to read what the menu pertain and it read mango chunks. Seems as the year pass they can't comprehend things anymore due to many customer coming in and ordering anyways oh and they charge me 6.75 just for a slap of ice. I'll give it to you this time.
