The original is the best! Good food and fun people. I had the October special, the Voodoo burger and my son had the biggest hotdog I have seen in a while. Really good!! Cheese fries are always amazing.

Consistently good burgers. I had the big Mike burger which was messy and excellent. The chili cheese burger was not on the menu. It was disappointing because the chili was awful. The loaded fries were perfect with tons of bacon and other toppings.

I hadn’t been to Snuffers in a long time but decided to invite my husband for a quick lunch on a Tuesday and man idk why I hadn’t been! Those burgers do more than the job. They’re delicious. And the $9.99 burger meal is so crazy good. It’s a double meat burger with fries and drink. If you’re ever craving a nice solid burger go here. I love they’re menu. They have a little bit of everything, covering all the basics but not too much so they do it right. Service was great when we went. Our server was so attentive and funny. This will be our new go to spot for when we want a classic well made tasty burger. You can’t go wrong.

We shared the Hat Trick and a couple beers before a show next door. Beers cold, food is hot! Everything was great. Luke was friendly and accommodating.

Quaint restaurant that serves bar type food in Lower Greenville. Stopped in for a bite, got wings as an appetizer, they were really good. My partner got the club sandwich with French fries, he liked it, but said it could have used a little more meat on it. But the bread was toasted nicely and held the sandwich together pretty well. I got the chicken fajita quesadilla and it was delicious. I asked for a side of their beer battered onion rings and they were very tasty. We sat at the bar and the service was very friendly and efficient. My only complaint, and I did not share the picture, was that a dad and his approximately 8 year old son sat at the bar across from us, which honestly is why we sit at a bar, not to be distracted by kids. They were there the entire time as us, and they also had a huge dog which kept jumping onto the bar top. Very odd.

Consistently delicious. Fresh crisp vegetables complement your burger if that's your jam. So many choices, I could eat a different meal here every day for a month and not be disappointed ever. If you love fried mushrooms, these are still the best in town. I wish ranch dressing tasted like this everywhere. Cheese fries, yes! Cold beer, totally. Great staff and service, undoubtedly. Patio seats at the bar give you an indoor/outdoor feel as the cool A/C blows just enough to keep you cool even in this summer heat. Go! Eat! Enjoy!

Snuffer’s had the best burgers and cheddar fries when I was in college and still do today 40 years later!!!

If you come to Snuffers, you have to try the cheese fries. These are some of Dallas’ best cheese fries. We also enjoy their burgers including the classic, BBQ Bacon Burger, and Patty Melt. Snuffers is a Dallas classic and for good reason. I recommend coming here.

First time coming here. Went to a late lunch with my mom, sister and aunt. Service was kind of slow but we let it slide since it seemed like a more relaxed environment in general. For some reason, the appetizer I ordered came out at the same time as our food, so we didn't have the time and hardly the table space to eat it all. The food was honestly mid despite my sister's high recommendation. Chilis is about the same if not better. The cocktail I had tasted watered down and flavorless and I didn't even finish it. Our server was all over the place and I didn't want to confuse her anymore than she already was so I didn't bother sending it back. Long story short, she ended up OVERCHARGING me $10 (we all left cash tips, more even than we would've liked to for the service we got). I had to call my bank to dispute the charges because someone decided to help themselves to a $10 tip they absolutely DID NOT earn. I won't be returning to this location or probably any others because the food and drinks weren't good enough for all the trouble I went through.

Stoped by for a quick lunch, no spots inside, but that's ok. The patio has heaters and is closed in. Friendly service, tasty food, big portions.

Such a blast from the past. After 30+ years was able to visit Snuffers again on Greenville Hadn't realized that they built a new building in almost the same place. The marinated chicken sandwich and the cheddar fries were good as I remember Still a nice vibe in the area

I've always enjoyed eating at Snuffers but this time around was very disappointed. Placed an order to go and when I arrived home, checked the ranch that I paid for and was very disappointed at the amount that was actually given to me. I paid for 3 ranches but got the amount of 2.

I used to love to it here but after my last visit I'm swearing it off for good. Bartender was unorganized. She took my drink order and then went to cleaning. While I still waited for my beer, bartender talked with other guest and served others their beverages. Waited about 10 mins for my beer to be then presented with not even a full pour. When I asked for a food menu, I got an eye roll and dirty look. Paying for my not full beer took just as long to get it Won't be back.

Dallas staple! Perf place to grab a bite. Everything on the menu is amazing, but the steak strips and fried pickles are delish! Service was excellent as always. Servers are very personable. Can get loud during game days or nights out, but dogs are welcome so bring all the pups!

Absolute worst rude staff and horrible service! Sat there completely ignored for about 20 min while people who came in after got served. When we finally got a waitress we made a comment about it and so she decided to tell all her coworkers how she "passed that table off because they were already pissy" the older blonde lady was so unprofessional and all the little boys working with her thought she was so funny! The manager wasn't any better because he sat there and allowed it all to happen. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Food was subpar. The meal I got (hot dog) was cold and so were the fries and mash potatoes. The fries look a day old. Upside, the wings and fried pickles were hot and fresh. Won't be back.

The chicken fingers and the coffee have changed. I am so disappointed, I was really hoping for the snuffers I grew up on

I give it 2 stars ONLY because our waitress/service was absolutely god awful.. I'm not so sure she wasn't on crack or something because she wasn't all there and all over the place. the food was good though, I got a regular cheeseburger and was perfect

When I was in college, my friends and I would come here down from Sherman and always enjoyed their loaded fries and burgers. It was always something special.

Snuffers is a cool, laid back, no frills bar and grill. It was packed when I came here on Friday night so I sat at the bar. The bar is tucked in the back corner of the restaurant. The bartending staff were both really friendly and attentive, and the bar drew some fun characters. As I'm a newbie to Dallas, I wasn't sure exactly which burger to get, so I went with the Snuffers Classic, fried mushrooms, and a side salad. Everything was good, came out fast, and the prices aren't bad. I would definitely come back, especially for happy hour, as there are some really good deals and it goes until 7pm.

I went in here tonight. It was Wednesday, March 13 and it was not very busy in there. I had my date with me and we sat down and the waitress just came out and asked what we would like to drink. I said I would like water and my date wanted a drink, it took forever to come out with the drink and she never did. She came out and asked what we would like to eat well my date said they want cheese fries with everything on them. It took forever for them to bring that never bring the drink they never did bring cheese fries so we ended up leaving, I don't know why was so slow today but the service was not good. We do not plan on coming back to this establishment because of how the slow service that we received today.

My wife I decided to go to Snuffers rather than one of our favorite burger joints. Aside from the friendly server, it wasn't a good experience, at all. Guests seated after us got their drinks before us. I ordered my burger medium-rare and it was well done. The patty also seemed smaller than the advertised 1/2 lb. I had asked for fries for the extra $1.50, but my burger came solo. To "make up for it", our server brought me a shareable basket ($3.50), then charged me full price for it instead of $1.50 or on the house!!! My wife who also ordered fries with her burger got just a few. Last visit for us.

Absolutely terrible. Ordered to go since I was in the hospital about ten minutes away. The fried mushrooms seemed strangely like the bottom of the batch w/ lots of crispy bits but not many mushrooms. The spicy chicken strips were nothing like they used to be and the cheese fries - well let's just say we should know better. So disappointed.

I was in Greenville to see the Lovejoy concert. Since Snuffer's was literally right next to the venue, my friend and I agreed to get takeout from there. The guy who helped us was Ethan. He took my order and was very patient while I was waiting for my friend to message me what she wanted. He was also quite friendly! I enjoyed making small talk with him. The food itself was just fine. Warm and tasty. This is all to say that Ethan deserves a raise. Also, there was trivia happening outside, so that was a nice bonus!

Sometimes you just need to eat fried goodness for dinner and Snuffers is a go to! This Dallas classic is located right on Lower Greenville next to the famous Granada. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The energy was so laidback and perfect for a quaint dinner with friends. We ordered: Fried Pickles Famous Cheese Fries - loaded obviously 3 Mini sliders I recommend to anyone craving classic American style food. You must try the cheese fries, they are delicious. I know we will be back to eat again!

I have eaten at Snuffers for over 20 years many different locations. The one on Greenville has some issues for real! Our waitress was wiping the table with a wet dirty rag and asked My WIFE if she could finish wiping the table where the waitress couldn't reach!! I stared blankly for a moment in disbelief and then wiped it myself. She then took our drink order and came back 10 mins later and said "What's your drink I forgot". I ordered iced tea.... The food was cold and my wife's had long black hair in it. She was also i'll later that evening from eating the food. Maybe an off night? I don't know but we had a concert next door at Granada and I was pumped for a Green Chile burger and some fried mushrooms... Should have gone somewhere else!

I have been frequenting this location for over 33 years with my husband. We came here when we were dating and we recently celebrated our 30th anniversary there. We now probably go once a week. Last week I was there for jimmy buffett for the celebration of his death. We had horrible margaritas. The food, cheese fries, burger, etc., horrible!! I LOVEEEEE me some cheese fries and burgers but the cheese fries came out cold and the burger was dry and way over cooked. On top of all that, our waitress was super testy because we complained about the margaritas. From the get go she had a major smartelic attitude and it was horrible!! I hate that it was such a bad experience but I felt I had to let people know that snuffers is not what it used to be.

The manager Eric. Y'all short hair gray and skinny has no idea what he is doing for his job. He watches his employees and ignores them when he needs to do his job. I've watched him turn his back on employees constantly ignoring them. He also doesn't seem to care about anything from his demeanor. He just drags his feet and slouches around pretending like he's doing anything. He does the bare minimum. I don't know how long he has done his job or who has let him progress, but it is not in any standard of service industry even for the bare minimum.

I have been to this snuffers location throughout my entire life and it's clearly in it's downfall era. Ordered a large margarita that was listed on the menu, was told they don't have large margaritas but was still charged more than the "regular" size listed. Margaritas were not impressive and weak. Our server was condescending and made us feel so uncomfortable the entire visit. I have always hyped snuffers up to have the best cheese fries in Dallas and this was not the case during this visit. Cheese was cold and clumpy, fries were soggy, the toppings were weird and cost extra $$. Not to mention they were tiny for a size Medium. The bathroom seemed to have no A/C and it was filthy. Don't think I'll ever be returning to snuffers sadly. It's not worth the money or experience!!

Izzy and Joe are the best bartender! Great service, great food, and even better drinks. Love the staff and the overall atmosphere! Definitely recommend the cheese fries and any of there burgers!

My friend and I both had the knife and fork dog. It had such and odd flavor. I ate about 1/3 of it and my buddy took the meat out and ate the bun, chili, and cheese. Extremely disappointed!

This place has been around for over 40 years, from what I was told by the guy who took my order. This spot may not be new to the Texans, but I'm definitely a new booty to some of the Texas chain eateries . The California chicken club was grrrreeat! I loved how the ingredients were portioned through out the sandwich, with fresh avocado, soft bun, crispy bacon, fresh veggies, and cheesy with juicy grilled chicken breast. Nothing but goodness. Although I'm not much of a French fries person, the loaded fries I ordered were good and satisfying for my kiddos which was enough to share. Most likely since there's several locations I won't miss running into snuffers while in Texas.

1:00 on Saturday, several empty tables, no one on patio. Had to wait ten minutes for booth to be wiped. Waitress was the worst at any Snuffers. She never came to wipe table, another waitress did. 7-8 waiters, 13 tables occupied so not staffing. Too much visiting among themselves at the window. Asked if we wanted check then she was back to visiting with coworkers! Had to wait for change while she visited and high fives, with coworkers. Food was just ok. Cheddar fries had clearly sat for a while and sandwiches were just warm. Been a customer since 1986. Just not the same! Been a Saturday regular this year.

I've been eating at Snuffers for 20 years, and just can't believe what we experienced tonight. We have been ordering grilled cheese sandwiches for as long as we have been going and was craving a Snuffers grilled cheese tonight. Seat ourselves and waitress tells us we can't order grilled cheese...only kids under 12 can order. I tell her to charge us for something else, just bring a grilled cheese. She says she can't do that because everything else is on a bun. Ask her to go ask someone to get it ordered, and she says she can't. The restaurant was practically empty...she had one other table because we went early. First time I ever got up and walked out from a restaurant (I did pay for tge drinks we ordered but didn't have time to drink). Went to Haystack and they were more than happy to take my order for a grilled cheese. To management, you are losing a 20 year customer, and over a menu item you would make the most profit on...bread, butter and cheese. Btw, you got one star, because I couldn't leave zero. This was just unbelievable.

The food is ok, albeit a little pricey. The real issue is how unreasonably loud this place is. It is not ideal for groups. I lost my voice after being here two hours trying to talk with my group. Our requests for the staff to turn down the speakers fell on deaf ears.

Always good. Love those loaded fries. We will be back over and over again. So happy to be able to host the original location.

Ethan was friendly and awesome! Ordered some burgers for the kiddos. Came out quickly and with a smile! We forgot to request no seeds(allergy) and they quickly remedied for us and got us on our way back to our Sunday adventure fun time!!! My first time here was great actually our server was nice and attentive, we had specifics with our order.The patty could of been better seasoned and the bun is too thick for the patty. Nonetheless that time I would of given it at least 4 stars just because the service saved it. Today however, a Sunday when yes the cowboys Megan to play after 20 minutes of us getting there. However I quickly already saw the waitress not being well attentive with us. He took our drink menu and our appetizer and that itself took FOREVER to get. When we finally got our burgers she had forget the extras we wanted with the burger, didn't give us napkins either and once we had all that we had asked for she forgot about us and didn't refill our waters etc. before we could finish our food she asked if we wanted the check. So unfortunately I left there frustrated and unsatisfied.

Food was overcooked. I asked the server to just give me a burger (which she did so happily) but it was completely raw. The server did great but their cooks are terrible.

I have been coming to the lower Greenville location for years. I have seen staff come and go. Some good some well lets just say not as good. I can honestly say Mavis is and in my opinion will always be one of the Snuffers ELITE!! Her service is amazing and I love the conversation's. I tell all my friends to GO SEE MAVIS!!!

2 friends arrived at 6:45pm to make happy hour that ended at 7pm. They weren't served for 15 minutes, missing the happy hour, but also weren't even brought waters or menus from the waitress. Our waitress's favorite line was "I'll be right back to check on you", except she checked on us in 30 minute intervals. There were multiple tables that were seated, served, and left in the time that we ordered and got our food. Another negative example was when we went to pay, she didn't have anything written down, so we had to separate the check for her and write down for her who ordered each item. The food was mediocre as the burger was very dry. The menu is a typical bar menu and I can guarantee you can get better food with a better experience elsewhere. Also, when I went to order the chicken strips our waitress asked if those were fried... because I guess there's other ways to make chicken strips?

Snuffer's has restored my faith, after today's lunch. Service was crisp and efficient, the burger was tasty and cooked close to the MR ordered (closer to medium, with not much pink inside), and it was a lovely day to sit out on the porch and enjoy the lunch.

The music inside the restaurant is so loud you can't even have a conversation with your party. The food was cold. The waitress was so nice and that was the high light of the dinner. I would definitely go back on a week night and give it another chance.

Snuffers has been a favorite for years! As a Dallas native, it should be mandatory to eat here at least once. The cheddar fries are a staple, the burgers are all great, and the margaritas are amazing!

Service was mid, food was worse. In the Dallas area you have no reason to eat here. Fried pickles were the worst I've had and my grilled chicken was over salted. My son enjoyed the ketchup.

This is a classic Dallas staple. Snuffers is the real deal. You know those restaurant chains like TGI Fridays and Bennigan's? Well, this is the type of place they're trying to emulate. The only problem is they focus too hard on aesthetics and yet are never able to capture the essence of a place like Snuffers. Along with Chip's and Keller's, this is an excellent historic Dallas burger place that never disappoints. I'll list some highlights: their signature cheese fries, burgers that hit-the-spot, an unpretentious "everyone knows your name" atmosphere, an extensive outdoor seating area that overlooks Lower Greenville, not to mention mischievous spirits that mess with employees and staff. This place has it all! Now, unfortunately, I can tell you on my last visit there was a fair amount of ectoplasm coating the surface of our outside table, and even after we had switched seats it appeared that all of the outside tables had a similar sticky surface causing the menus to be glued down. However, as usual, the food was delicious, and I left feeling fully replenished and ready to see The Brian Jonestown Massacre at The Granada next door. Long live Snuffers!

I've gone to Snuffers for years as I love their burgers. For some reason they have stopped making milk shakes, which is a shame as theirs were the real deal - made with real ice cream and milk mixed in a real blender. Guess I'll find another spot to go for a burger and a shake, but I'll miss Snuffers.

Today's lunch was only 2 star-worthy for our family of six. Things went haywire from the start, as our frazzled, inexperienced waiter got 2 orders wrong causing us to eat in shifts. We know many restaurants have had difficulty hiring and keeping staff, so maybe they were short handed today, we wanted to blame our server's inattentiveness on that, but shouldn't the manager pitch in to cover that? We sat waiting for condiments, napkins, water refills, and mistaken orders. It was not the typical good service we've had here in years past. A turkey the day before Thanksgiving, for sure. :(

Came here in February with some friends after a concert at the Granada. Loaded cheese fries. That's it. That's all we got. They were soo good. I've been craving them lately. I don't think I would come here on my own to get them though. Snuffers ain't a place I would drive all the way from Fort Worth for.
