Absolutely perfect spot for a fun night with friends or a date night! Our reservation was for 6:30 which was perfect because happy hour is until 7. Live music started right around 7 and was incredible, we loved the performer! I was also impressed with the service, great cadence and consistent check ins at the right time. Drinks and food came quickly and were delish. Can't wait to come back!

The atmosphere beautiful and chic. The drinks very unique and delicious. The service I also can't complain. The menu could use more vegetarian options - it had like maybe 1. My only issue with this place was they tried to sneak a $30 per person charge for the band onto the bill. The issue is, we weren't told there was a fee to sit - there was no sign outside the door and on the menu it's written i. The last page under the dietary disclaimer in fine print you need a magnify glass to read it. If you're going to charge people for entertainment it should be clearly marked and advertised in multiple locations or collect it upon entry but do not gaslight and say it's written in multiple places.

I’ve been to So & So a few times now, and it never fails to impress! The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and on top of their game. The ambience and music transport you to another world, making every visit feel like a mini escape. If you can snag a seat at the bar, do it—it’s my favorite spot. Erica, in particular, is an absolute standout. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, always ready with the perfect recommendation, and makes every drink feel like a personalized experience. So & So has definitely earned a permanent spot on my go-to list. I’ll keep coming back again and again! 🍸✨

Attentive service from Mario, good appetizers. My group ordered burgers & fries, which were delicious, & large portion size (it might be a bit much for the average appetite). We also got a certain salad that had beets in it, & everyone liked it. Erica carefully crafted our cocktails. She even catered to our preferences when they were not exactly on the menu. The old fashioned was good, but the "So & So Old Fashioned" was great & we ordered multiple rounds of those. 2 thumbs up for the Manhattan as well. Jacob was the pianist that night. He engaged the crowd & took requests.

This place is an awesome place to unwind and have a good time. I can't speak for the drinks but they did look great, but the gem of this place is the atmosphere and the entertainment. I highly recommend coming here on dates or just to have a good time. The food here is painfully okay and overpriced for the portions you get but it's a bar more than restaurant. The service is also solid as well, they're pretty nice and attentive.

I loved this place. The food and live music are great, the atmosphere is extremely laid back and perfect for relaxing with a few friends and drinks. I recommend the waffle chips + onion dip as an appetizer, and their burger entree was fantastic as well! We sat toward the back in one of the circular booths and could easily hear each other speaking over the music. They also had a tv set up so you could watch the live performance in the other room. Overall, I think this place is great. Just make sure you don’t miss the secret red door when you’re trying to find it. 👀

We had the best time at So & So’s Piano Bar last night! The atmosphere was lively and fun, the music was fantastic, and the whole place had such a great energy. But the real standout of the night was Erica, our bartender. She was incredible - so warm, attentive, and genuinely fun to chat with. She made the most delicious drinks (truly some of the best cocktails I’ve had), and her vibe just made the whole evening feel extra special. You can tell she loves what she does, and her energy is infectious. If you’re going to So & So’s, do yourself a favor and sit at Erica’s bar. She’s an absolute joy, and she made our night unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

I stopped by for the Talia event on a Friday night and loved the piano bar, which is hidden behind an unmarked door with velvet ropes--giving it a speakeasy vibe. The decor was beautiful, instantly transporting me to the Great Gatsby era. We were seated in the front row, enjoying the best view of the night. The cocktails were fantastic--my favorites were the Bodega Cat, Thank You 15, and Piano Man. The food was decent as well; we enjoyed the smoked and wild salmon tartare and sesame tuna. However, the Brussels sprouts were overly salty and drenched in sauce. Now, regarding the service: our server was attentive, but it seemed the kitchen was backed up. We waited at least ten minutes after finishing the Brussels sprouts for the tartare to arrive, followed by another ten minutes before receiving the tuna. This interruption was noticeable since we were sitting in the front row. A peculiar incident occurred when we were asked to move to the bar after placing another cocktail order ten minutes after the show ended. I later learned about the 90-minute rule, but this was never communicated to us upon arrival. It left a bad taste since we could have decided differently before ordering. Once at the bar, the bartender seemed more interested in chatting with another guest than attending to our request for the check. After reminding her twice, we finally received our check when I asked the manager for assistance. As a resident of Hells Kitchen, I'm rooting for this piano bar. However, they need to address the negative feedback soon before it becomes a larger issue.

This was our second visit, this time on a Wednesday night around 9:45pm. The live music runs from 7pm to 10pm, and you can check out the lineup on their website. I noticed that they feature a variety of artists, each offering different genres, which keeps things interesting. Tonight's performance was a two-string ensemble, which isn't my usual go-to for live music, but I still enjoyed it. On my last visit, there was a drag queen show, which was a unique and entertaining experience! The bar has a beautiful ambiance, and the service was decent. I ordered the "Bodega Cat" this time, which was delicious--creamy and sweet, like a coffee drink. Last time, I tried "She's from LA," which was stronger and still sweet. It seems like they might have adjusted the drinks to be less potent since my boyfriend's drink was also less alcoholic this time. I personally miss the stronger mix from my previous visit, but that's just my preference. My friend who also visited thought her drink was too strong, so maybe they made some adjustments to cater to mainstream tastes.

Sam on the piano was amazing 10/10 Asia our server was amazing 10/10 Drinks were delicious 10/10 But look, The Food. Was. Awful. Almost inedible. They should stick with just bar food or even just a bowl of popcorn. Thankfully we didn't get kicked out at the ending of our 90 min reservation because that's really when it started to get really fun. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves and I would come back - just probably not to eat.

This spot opened recently in my neighborhood and I discovered it from a chalkboard sign outside the neighboring hotel. They should advertise more openly! Located behind a nondescript door that looks like it leads nowhere, this is everything you want in a piano bar-- super loungey atmosphere, exceptionally talented musicians, and great drinks! Will be coming back regularly!

Food was decent, but small. Even after the mains we had to order more food because of the size of the portion. My frustration with this place, though, was that the show time and the dinner seating is not lined up at all. They don't tell you during the reservation process, but there is a 90 minute limit on your table and this is STRICT. And, you can't retire to the bar or anywhere else, you're literally kicked out. As the show started 1 hour after advertised time, it literally was just getting going as my $300 check arrived. It was totally not worth that for the food, and we didn't get to enjoy the show at all. When asked if they could make space for us somewhere else, they said no and could basically care less that we weren't getting the experience advertised. We had an out of town guest and it was quite an embarrassing experience. Go to Dizzy's or Birdlands for a dinner and a show as at least they time the seatings with the sets. You still have to leave at the appointed time, but it's timed so that you get what you paid for.

Piano bar means a place with a piano, yes, but also with singers and a lively creative energy. Why don't they have singers here? My friend and I arrived at their velvet rope making their hidden door at 6:30p on a Friday night - reservation required - and the place was more than half empty. The hostess explained that it was a strict "90 minute experience" and then we'd need to leave promptly. Quite the welcome?! I ordered an aviation on tap cocktail which was great. The doll-sized high priced appetizers were above average with expert garnishes. We liked the tuna tartare tacos and the oysters Rockefeller were worthy of a Rockefeller - the best I've had. Many places with live music charge top dollar for the food and drinks because they're also covering the performers. Here there's the higher prices but only one man quietly playing standards on a piano. He never even spoke to the audience. This hidden-away showroom done up in retro reds and lights could be cool but comes off more Las Vegas corporate than opulent louche. Only come here if you're sure there will be a singer strong enough to warm up this place or if you're a mega oysters Rockefeller connoisseur. This is the straightest piano bar I've ever been to and I don't mean that as a compliment.

The vibe was fantastic, with music that set the perfect tone for the night. The space captures that classic Old New York feel but with a modern, elevated twist, right in the heart of Hell's Kitchen. Cocktails were well crafted and didn't disappoint. I'll definitely be returning!

I live across the street and finally went here for a drink to try it out. Love it! Super cute space that gives speakeasy/martini bar vibes. Love the live music. Need to go back to try out the menu. Definitely make a reservation and try it out.

We booked a table for 6:30 PM, expecting the show to start at 7:00 PM, as stated on the website. When we arrived, we were told we only had 90 minutes at the table and could move to the bar afterward. The show didn't actually start until 8:00 PM, and we were asked to leave at 8:05 PM, after hearing only two songs. When we raised the issue with the manager, there was no apology, just a remark about the show starting at 7:30 PM if you click through the site. Despite the half hour delay on start and empty tables, we were still kicked out, leaving us disappointed. Not a place we'd return to.
