stopped by for lunch and tried the sauerkraut fish, stir-fry snowflake beef, braised tofu skin with eggs, and poached chicken. The standout for me was the braised tofu skin with eggs — light, comforting, and the least savoury of the dishes. It felt balanced and easy on the palate, especially compared to the others. The sauerkraut fish was appetising with its tangy kick, but it leaned noticeably salty and oily. The stir-fry snowflake beef had good flavour and tenderness, though it was even saltier than the fish, which made it a bit heavy after a few bites. The poached chicken was decent and straightforward, but not particularly memorable. Overall, it’s a satisfying spot if you enjoy bold, punchy flavours, though some dishes may be on the saltier side so you definitely need your plain rice. I’d return — but next time, I’d probably order more of the lighter options.

Came in for Christmas day lunch. Got several dishes, however the standouts were definitely the century egg, the fried taro, fried chicken and prawn vermicelli. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Food came out in a timely manner. No excessive wait times. Staff were friendly and easy to communicate with.

I absolutely loved the fresh fish at Sodofun! Their boiled fish in chili oil was perfectly spiced and so tender. Great portions and friendly service too. Definitely my new favorite spot for authentic Chinese food

Food was Absolutely Delicious, if you don’t mind slightly stronger flavours. I thought the sauerkraut fish will be mild, sjnce it is not spicy, but it was good! Other dishes I would recommend: Stir-fry 丝瓜, Minced Garlic Vermicelli Prawn, 回锅肉, Spicy Diced Fried Frog (da bomb!), Pork lard Fried Rice. Shout out to the lotus hidden in the spicy diced frog… it was so additive and well-seasoned! Service was good, as the lady shifted us to a bigger table seeing that we ordered lots of dishes. Food was served hot and some served with heat source. Drinks wise, the ice jasmine lemon was super refreshing. Highly recommend it if you’re ordering lots of spicy food. My spicy tolerance is bad, but I think the spice here is just nice. There are a good number of non-spicy option. Would come again! :-)

A great spot for bold, authentic Sichuan flavours. The food is well-seasoned with satisfying heat and numbing spice, yet still approachable, with non-spicy options available. Standouts include the sauerkraut fish, mapo tofu and pork lard fried rice. Portions are generous, dishes are served hot, and service is attentive. Worth a visit if you are craving proper Sichuan cuisine.

Good Chinese food with good service. The food is delicious and the drinks are also nice. This place looks relatively new and it is not that crowded. The sweet and sour pork is nice and not too overly sweet. The prawn in vermicelli is also very delicious and the garlic taste is just right. The fish is slightly spicy but still tolerable and overall it has a good level of spiciness.

Just came back from Sichuan and craving that bold, spicy cuisine, so we googled and landed at SO DO FUN @ Midtown House — and it hit the spot. The dishes were flavorful and packed with the kind of heat and numbing spice that makes Sichuan food so addictive. Portions were generous, and each dish had a nice balance of authentic flavors. The restaurant itself is simple, letting the food take center stage, which works perfectly when what you really want is a hearty, tasty Sichuan meal. A great spot if you’re missing real Chuan cuisine without hopping on a plane!

Cozy restaurant with friendly service, pleasant atmosphere, and clean space. The food was delicious, well presented, and flavorful, making the overall dining experience enjoyable and worth returning again soon happily.
