SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin

Sofitel is the hotel’s beachfront location is its biggest highlight — stepping straight onto the sand and having ocean views throughout the day was fantastic. The beach area was well maintained and made it easy to relax without needing to travel anywhere. The bar staff really stood out during our stay. Pooh and Tick were friendly, attentive, and kept the atmosphere lively without being overwhelming. Drinks were well made and service was quick, even during busier periods. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a laid-back beach stay with welcoming staff and a pleasant bar experience. Definitely we will be back 👍

This hotel is absolutely amazing, since entering the property, everything felt great. There are lots of activities for kids and families, and the hotel offers well-designed and full facilities. The service was very good overall, especially at the Beach Society restaurant. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful with food recommendations. They also took great care and ensured we got a table with a nice view. This attention to small details really impressed us. The food there was delicious. We would love to come back again.

Review: Disappointing Stay My family and I stayed at SO Sofitel for New Year’s, booking a total of five rooms, and unfortunately, the overall experience was far below expectations. This is not a property I would like to return to. First, the room design prioritizes aesthetics over functionality. The rain shower design is poorly thought out, making it inconvenient to use. Across multiple rooms, the wash basin drains were extremely slow, and in some rooms the bathtub drains could not be closed at all. Even the Illy coffee machines were unstable, to the point where you literally need to hold the cup while the coffee extracts to prevent it from tipping over. Service was another major disappointment. While I understand it was high season, the hotel was charging premium New Year rates. With that level of revenue, proper staffing is not optional — it is a basic expectation. Instead, service felt overwhelmed, slow, and inattentive, clearly a result of insufficient manpower planning. Several key facilities were also underwhelming. The spa lobby and common bathrooms are very small, and the fitness center feels cramped and limited for a hotel of this category. On top of that, we did not receive the pool access rooms we originally booked, which was frustrating and unacceptable. The New Year Gala Dinner was also a letdown. The food selection was limited, the variety was poor, and the overall quality was average at best. Even the dessert section was extremely minimal. The atmosphere reflected that, as there were noticeably few guests attending. Now for the positives, because credit where it is due: The White Oven restaurant chef did a great job, and the food quality there was genuinely good — though pricing is very high. The bike lane around the resort is fantastic, although the bikes themselves clearly need better maintenance. The swimming pool activities were also a nice touch for families. Overall, this stay felt like a hotel relying on its brand name rather than delivering real value. When you pay premium holiday rates, you expect premium service, functioning rooms, and a smooth guest experience — none of which were consistently delivered here. Sadly, I will not be returning to SO Sofitel.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin. From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out as exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which created a very positive atmosphere throughout our visit. Our room was beautifully designed and truly impressive. The very high ceilings gave it an open and elegant feeling, and there were many small, thoughtful details that made the room feel special and unique. Throughout the hotel, you can also find many small, cute, and humorous animal decorations, which add charm and character to the entire property. The hotel offers a wide range of activities. These include table tennis, billiards, basketball, tennis, badminton, a dedicated bicycle course, and many additional activities especially suitable for children. There are also several swimming pools, and overall the hotel conveys a very pleasant and relaxing ambiance. One area with room for improvement would be the availability of sun loungers with umbrellas directly on the beach. During our stay, there were no sun umbrellas at the beach itself, which could be challenging for guests who are sensitive to the sun and would like to spend more time there. There are other shaded areas within the resort, but none directly on the beach. I also took part in a complimentary yoga class led by Au. She put a great deal of effort into the session, and it was a very positive experience. Thank you very much for that. Overall, I can highly recommend this hotel. Great style, friendly staff, and a wonderful stay.

We had an amazing stay at this resort! Even before our arrival, the General Manager, Kunthari Sangchat, personally contacted me to inform us about a wedding event taking place during our stay. He made special arrangements for my family to ensure we would still have a pleasant and comfortable experience. From the moment we arrived, Duty Manager Patt warmly welcomed us at the room lobby and assisted with last-minute room adjustments. We were able to enjoy our late dinner while Patt efficiently handled our check-in at the restaurant, which was greatly appreciated. Throughout our stay, we truly felt recognized and valued as guests. The hospitality was outstanding, and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for our family. Our kids absolutely loved the resort as well — they learned how to cycle and enjoyed the dedicated bike lane within the property. They had such a wonderful time that they’re already asking when we can come back! We can’t wait to return and create more beautiful memories. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and truly memorable experience.

We had a wonderful family getaway at SO Sofitel Hua Hin! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and great with kids. We were so impressed with the newly opened beach area. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable for a family stay. Our little one especially loved SO Hot wheels Scooter, Wibit Adventure Float and SO Wonderland Adventure Golf, which became our daily highlight. The resort has so many family-friendly activities that we never ran out of things to do. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices, and the atmosphere around the l felt peaceful yet fun. It’s the perfect balance of relaxation for parents and excitement for kids.

Had my wedding here and it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. It was truly the best day ever. The staff were so kind. My wedding planner Nanah was incredible, she went above and beyond my expectations, and I loved the officiant Khun Mark so much. The breakfast buffet was amazing. My wedding buffet was so delicious. I highly recommend getting married here. We had friends come from all over the world and they all said it was the best and most beautiful wedding they had ever been to.

We come back to SO Sofitel Hua Hin every year, and this stay was just as wonderful as always. The service, the facilities, and the privacy are the reasons we keep returning. The newly renovated beachfront area is a big highlight this year — our kids loved it. There are so many activities to enjoy here. Bike riding, tennis, and the Wibit are always a hit with the children, and it really makes the holiday fun for the whole family. A big thank you to the duty manager, Khun Goong and Khun Tik at Beach Society for taking such good care of us. We also want to thank the front desk team, and the housekeeping staff for their warm and attentive support throughout our stay. SO Sofitel continues to be one of our favourite places, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again next year.
