This small shop doesn't look like much and I have definitely walked by it before but I would recommend people who want to get some homely Korean food in the area! Sobak only has a couple of items on their menu but don't let that deter you!!
I bought their bibimbap and it was so pretty/nicely placed together. Of course, when you think of bibimbap, you expect the stone pot with crispy rice bottom and veggies, but this one was still good without the crispy setup. The veggies were nicely pickled. The combination with the warm rice and freshly cooked fried egg was heavenly.
After mixing, I realize the portion seemed much smaller than I had assumed. Despite its appearance, I was sufficiently content after devouring the meal. There was this meat(?) coupled with some sort of sweet sauce (to be frank, I don't really recall what was under the egg), but after mixing, the food tasted superb. This rice bowl does not come with gochujang so if you want an addition of the sauce, I'm uncertain if you can ask the server when you're dining in or you will just have to the sauce at home. For people planning to dine in, they offer about 3-4 seats by the window/storefront; I would suggest to go for take-out instead. Take-out was pretty quick for me; I waited less than 5 min and the food was done!
Prices have definitely rose since the beginning photos for this shop. I believe I got this bibimbap for ~14$ and I saw that the Ganjang bap was ~19$. I forgot to take a photo of their menu but if you decide to check out the shop, add about 5-8$ to the first menu photo and that should be the new price. They accept both cash and card!
