One of the most beautiful and thoughtfully curated home goods and coffee shops I’ve ever visited. Every corner is filled with unique gifts, design-forward home items, and the bath products you’ll want to take home. The owner clearly has an incredible eye—everything feels intentional and elevated. I walked out with a few pieces I absolutely love. And the coffee shop is just as special, offering drinks inspired by Korean flavors that you won’t find anywhere else. A must-visit if you love good design and great coffee.

I visited this coffee shop and home goods store last Sunday, and it was such a delightful experience! Their drink menu is both creative and unique. I tried the Injeolmi Cream Espresso, and it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the rich espresso complementing the nutty injeolmi, and the creamy topping was just divine. After enjoying my coffee, I explored the home goods section and picked up some really cute items. Their selection is so unique and thoughtfully curated. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. I’d definitely stop by again if I’m in the neighborhood!

A new favorite and absolutely delicious! I order the bibimbap and wasn’t disappointed-the ingredients were fresh and the sauce and flavor was hitting!! The owners are a sweet young couple and were very attentive. I’ll be sure to try the eel bowl next time I stop by:) Only thing I would change is the amount of seats!

Google
Tried their Korean-inspired cafe drinks- Injeolmi Espresso and Bori tea. The flavors were on point and so refreshing. The items they sell in the shop are very cute and interesting to look at as well. Will definitely come back to try their other drinks and food!

I’ve been away from dimes square for almost a year now and lots of new stores and eats have popped up. None of them are great but this store is the cutest. The sell Frama and the owner is super sweet.

Best Korean meal I've had in my life there was more flavor in those mushrooms than anything I have eaten previously The guy behind the counter is so nice and full of heart it absolutely blew my mind

Google
Tiny adorable store with just two seats that has a small selection of delicious Korean dishes. I got to try the bibimbap and unagi and both were delicious! The bibimbap uses a soy based sauce instead of the usual spicy paste and it’s really delicious. Unagi was nicely broiled and I really enjoyed the spicy sauce. They also sell old school Korean snacks and drinks. Great quality food for a great price.

Yelp
It has limited menu. And each one is cute and pretty. This is one of the most tasteful bibimbap I had and not heavy. How they make the unagi does taste different from Japanese ones. But I have to say. It is a bit pricy. But that's how it is nowadays. Food: **** Atmosphere: *** Customer service: *****

Yelp
An amazing find!! I am so surprised more people do not know about this place. It's a very small restaurant (only two seats!) in Chinatown, and the menu is quite small. I had the signature Sobak Bowl and I added $9 for a wagyu soup (set menu only available in winter, $25 total). Best bibimbap I've ever had - this seemingly simple dish was transformed with a unique ground pork sauce that the owner uses, and the ingredients were all very fresh. The wagyu soup was chef's kiss. The soup had immense flavor, and the meat melted in my mouth. It was the perfect pairing for a rainy day. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other dishes!

Yelp
The place was very cute and small. Staff was nice. I got the sobak as that was their most popular items. The sauce has meat in but it was mainly just veggies and rice. I enjoy more than I thought I would. It's very clean and simple. Wishing there was more sauce and I 5$8!8 maybe a protein would go well. Or perhaps the portion would be bigger but maybe that's not the position. Not sure

Yelp
I'm so glad I happened to passed by this hole in the wall today. It's a small shop with a limited menu, which perhaps is why their bowls taste so good! I decided to get their signature Sobak Bowl to try and wow, it was pure deliciousness. You know that sad feeling you get when you're staring at your empty bowl and just wish it would give you another few bites? Yeah that feeling =( Hoping to get myself down to LES again to try all their other menu items. I'm pretty sure I'll get extra bowls next time!

Yelp
This place been on my to-go-to list for a while and decided to stop by to grab Kochujang Unagi Don to-go. The eel was torched to perfection. Cabbage with special dressing paired well with the sweet and spicy sauce for the eel.

Yelp
Best Eel in the city. Hole in the wall, must try. Owner is incredible. The sauces are all incredible.

Yelp
The food was fine. But i was patiently waiting on one of two seats for food and they asked me to stand up for someone else. They even laughed at me when I said thank you for the food when they placed it in front of me. My food was ready, there was no more space and they even asked "are you eating here?" I had to say no because no more space, but I was planning to. I do not like when people do not treat me with respect.

Yelp
Although I'm sad that this new restaurant took over the old Perfect Taste, I'm glad to see that it's alive again. Still a literal hole in the wall, the brightly lit small kitchen thrives on simplicity. With nothing more than an induction burner and a few rice cookers, you're getting quality bibim baps that warm the soul. Don't expect an extensive menu, again simplicity, you only have four choices. I opted for the namesake sobak bibam bap and it's exactly what one can ask for in regards to non-stone pot bibam baps. I say this because you obviously won't have crispy rice but instead, deliciously seasoned vegetables and a perfectly cooked egg on a bed of warm rice. There's also a bunch of Korean snacks and soft drinks available. And of course, the popular Squid Game cookies known as dalgona. Overall a welcomed addition to a good-eating neighborhood.

Yelp
Me and my roommates eat Sobak's unagi don couple times a week for the past year or two. It is that good! I have not had eel like Sobak's. Owner is also very nice and kind.

Yelp
This small shop doesn't look like much and I have definitely walked by it before but I would recommend people who want to get some homely Korean food in the area! Sobak only has a couple of items on their menu but don't let that deter you!! I bought their bibimbap and it was so pretty/nicely placed together. Of course, when you think of bibimbap, you expect the stone pot with crispy rice bottom and veggies, but this one was still good without the crispy setup. The veggies were nicely pickled. The combination with the warm rice and freshly cooked fried egg was heavenly. After mixing, I realize the portion seemed much smaller than I had assumed. Despite its appearance, I was sufficiently content after devouring the meal. There was this meat(?) coupled with some sort of sweet sauce (to be frank, I don't really recall what was under the egg), but after mixing, the food tasted superb. This rice bowl does not come with gochujang so if you want an addition of the sauce, I'm uncertain if you can ask the server when you're dining in or you will just have to the sauce at home. For people planning to dine in, they offer about 3-4 seats by the window/storefront; I would suggest to go for take-out instead. Take-out was pretty quick for me; I waited less than 5 min and the food was done! Prices have definitely rose since the beginning photos for this shop. I believe I got this bibimbap for ~14$ and I saw that the Ganjang bap was ~19$. I forgot to take a photo of their menu but if you decide to check out the shop, add about 5-8$ to the first menu photo and that should be the new price. They accept both cash and card!

Yelp
Funky little spot. Best Korean meal I've had in NYC for a while. I had the Sobak Bowl and it was wonderful. Nice music, design, and vibe.

Yelp
Went with a healthy lunch today after my workout! Popped in and was able to try their signature Bibimbap- incredible flavor and so filling! Highly recommend taking this to the park, can't wait to try some of their other dishes. Even though this is a limited menu, I don't mind because this is definitely a grab and go place that focuses on high quality dishes. Less is more!

Yelp
Korean comfort food! Cute little shop with limited seating, just one guy making all the food. I got the Sobak Bibimbap and it was sooo good. No meat but there was a pork sauce/paste that was incredible. Generous with the portions as well!

Yelp
I've always been wanting to try out this place for the longest time now and I finally have. Normally I'm not a big fan of bibimbap but my friend is a vegetarian and we are suppose to share. Their bibimbap was actually really good, I was surprised especially with their sauce. I would definitely go back again.

Connie L.

Yelp
I'm usually not a fan of bibimbap since the ones I've tried were tasteless vegetables slapped on top of rice. Sobak has completely changed my mindset and I fell in love with it the first time I tried this place. The vegetables are perfectly seasoned and I love the purple rice. The house special sauce is sooooooo good - it is a flavor that I've never tried before and a teeny tiny bit of spice. It is only one person working there so there may be a short wait. I would 10/10 recommend Sobak!

Yelp
This place is a gem! I am thrilled that there is a great Korean takeout restaurant in the neighborhood! Today I had the Ganjang + Egg Bap (Soy sauce egg rice). It is a simple, honest, homestyle dish that reminded me of my mom's cooking. The menu includes a couple other bibimbap-esque rice dishes with very high quality beef. Although it's a small menu, all the food is fresh, high quality and healthy. This is an ideal lunch spot during the work week. This place also doubles as a mini Korean convenience store. It has an impressive array of classic canned Korean drinks - from Pocari Sweat to Shikhye to my guilty pleasure, Coco Palm! The snack and cookie/candy selection is extremely well curated. It includes several choice snacks that aren't sold at the Manhattan H-marts. The menu board says that Galbitang (shortrib soup) will be coming soon! I can't wait to try Sobak's version of it!!

Yelp
Everything we ordered was delicious, especially their Bibimbub, better than many places in Ktown. Nice additional to the neighborhood! I'll definitely go back and try more dishes.

Yelp
We came across this place totally by accident, but I'm so happy that we discovered Sobak. We ordered the bibimbap and the unagi don, both were absolutely delicious! In particular, the unagi was melt-in-your-mouth with an unexpected but awesome spicy sauce. I will definitely be back for more, highly recommended. Just be aware that there are only two seats inside, so takeout is likely your best option.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious bibimbap but def a bit pricey- it's like $16 with tax. Either way if you're craving authentic Korean food this place hits the spot. Very limited menu, small shop but owner is great and welcoming.

Jenny A.

Yelp
Tiny little spot with a most gracious owner behind the counter. They only have a few items on the menu, but each of them is lovingly crafted, homey and delicious. There is only a small counter and not so much AC, so be prepared to take out.

Yelp
Tiny cute storefront that's clean with a simple menu. I ordered the bibimbop and it was flavorful and filling. Perfect place to grab takeout from in Dimes square. Fun neighborhood to visit as well.

Yelp
If you want some absolutely delicious Korean food, cooked to order right in front of you, with such friendly service, then you must check out this hidden gem in Chinatown. They have a fairly small but rotating menu and you can't go wrong with a Bibimbap or one of their eel dishes. (The also have high-end beef dishes but I don't eat meat so can't tell you how they are.) Anyway, it's a small place with only three or four seats but looking for some great food to take home or to the office, this place is worth seeking out.

Mia C.

Yelp
Absolute best bibimbap i've ever had! Young makes everything himself in this tiny joint. It's delicious and everything's so flavorful. The veggies in the bibimbap are all seasoned to perfection and his version (halmunee's recipe) is so tasty, the perfect balance of spicy, salty, sweet!

Erica S.

Yelp
My sister and I came across this cute little restaurant that has a small but delicious menu. We got the 'Kochujang Unagi Don' and 'Ganjang and Egg Bap' and they were both hits! The Unagi Don is a bang for your buck because they give you an entire fillet of eel. The Egg Bap is just as filling and yummy. Glad we found another hidden gem in the city! Will be coming here often!

Yelp
Cute and cozy spot to eat. Food was delicious and given quickly. Owner is very friendly and really completes the store.
