We came for lunch in the middle of the day. The restaurant was not fully occupied, yet it took about an hour and a half before we received our main courses.
The food itself was good, but honestly prepared. The steak was much closer to well done than medium rare, and the paella was slightly burnt. For the price level, we expected more precision.
After lunch, I asked for two empty glasses with ice to take with us so we could drink a bottle of wine we had purchased earlier at a winery in the nearby park. Yes, I understand it was an unusual request and the restaurant was not obligated to provide this. However, I was refused with the explanation that they only use expensive glassware and were not willing to let it leave the premises.
For context, we left a 50,000 pesos tip for this lunch. In a neighboring restaurant, we were immediately given two proper glass glasses with ice, free of charge and without any deposit — they simply asked us to return them. We did return them and ended up buying additional food there to take away.
That contrast highlights a significant difference between having Michelin stars and delivering truly thoughtful service.
To summarize: food 3 out of 5 for the price point.
