"Finer dining Sherman Oaks option SOCA is set for a big shift. The Aaron Robins restaurant will close on October 7 for a light overhaul that largely does away with the upscale touches, emerging from the other side as a much more casual new Latin-inspired restaurant." - Farley Elliott

SOCA is amazing! I've been here several times and have only had great experiences. The staff is awesome, and the food is fantastic. The restaurant has a great casual, upscale vibe. I haven't come across anything like this in the valley, super excited to have them in Sherman Oaks!

Great local restaurant but a bit pricy for the portions being served. Food and service was great. Our server Joey was awesome! All his recommendations were right on. Suzy the owner came by as well to greetus And to get our opinion about our experience. Caring staff. Enjoyed our dinner and would definitely return back.

From the creator of Boneyard Bistro comes SOCA (Sherman Oaks California) While it has been open a few weeks now I decided to wait to have my birthday dinner here for a special night. The decor is modern with beautiful orange chairs and booths and cool modern/retro lighting. The food was fantastic. We started with Burrata which was a delicious creamy cheese, tomato foam, micro greens and a nice toasty bread and a little citrus. we split it and given that we were full before we showed up i think this was a great idea. I had the trout - herb crusted on a bed of veg and my sig other had the steak pomme frites. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and there were ample fries. We skipped desert as I had cake waiting for me at home. I spied a few of the seafood towers going to tables and I'm excited to go back and try that. Overall, wonderful dinner with a light atmosphere and fantastic food.

Looks like the peasant lost a happy hour customer. I absolutely love SOCA food is amazing and the beer menu is lovely and eclectic. Bartenders and staff are super chill I can say enough good things about this spot. Can’t go wrong with raw oysters and jams from the mid-early 90’s. Don’t change a damn thing.

Overall: FANTASTIC - my favorite place in the Valley! Love this place! The food is fantastic, especially the fresh seafood, and so are the gin and tonics (which is their specialty). The oysters are delicious and so is the crab toast. For mains I would recommend the jumbo shrimp. The only thing which is a little disappointing are the desserts - and I’m a dessert person! The first time I came here I ordered the peach and steamed meringue which was fine. I love anything meringue but the peach coulis was not something I liked. Then again I’m not a big fan of peach flavored things. The second time I came here I ordered the chocolate and peanut mousse, shortbread, banana ice cream, caramel sauce and the chocolate hazelnut crunch. I’m a BIG fan of chocolate and banana together but this came as a sort of snickers bar with the peanut and chocolate mousse (two different mousses) on the inside of this chocolate hazelnut thick outer casing. I guess I wasn’t expecting this assemblage and the chocolate was so rich and thick and the ice cream portion so small that I couldn’t add it to every bite to cut through the chocolate flavor. The ambiance is nice. The one thing I would change, however, is the top 40 music played through the speakers. It’s really hard to have a good conversation and compete with popular dance music. They might have done this to bring in a younger crowd (I’m 24 and still didn’t like it) but perhaps some modern cafe music would be more apt. All he staff were lovely and jolly!! :)

Amazing food! The quality was top the roof! My husband and I love to eat at nice restaurants. We wanted to try SOCO after the previously family owned business closed. It was a great decision. Rack of lamb with laundry salad and the flavored Belgian beer hit the spot I love garlic so they had this head of garlic roasted with the lamb that I'm still craving it. Molly was our waitress, she was friendly and polite. What we loved was that she actually asked how do we want the order of our food. Which plate we want first. I honestly don't remember anyone asking if in the fancy highly priced restaurants in Beverly hills. This reminds of Europe and enjoy the plates ad they come one at the time. Thank you Molly! We truly enjoyed our night and even though we ate at 10 am, we slept like a baby and no antiacid pills was needed. That's because of the quality! Going there again soon!

Pricey, slow, not the best food I’ve tried. They look pretty empty at night. 6 oysters for $105 dollars...)) Ridiculous combination of quality/service/price. We have been waiting for food so long, and didn’t even have bread on the table, or anything else offered by the waitress to enjoy while we are waiting. Burger has weird taste and gave us bad feeling afterwards. Our stomachs were not feeling ok after it.
