"A new farmers market in the Downtown South Park neighborhood (1099 S. I’m a resident nearby and this farmers market is an amazing addition to the DTLA area. Though it is a bit small right now, it still provides us with a diverse range of local vendors plus live music! The vendors are nice and friendly, people are enjoying themselves out there, and it gives us residents something to walk around to do on a Saturday morning. Hopefully this market continues to stay and grow.

I love this farmers market. It has really affordable produce and a good selection. It’s a staple of the neighborhood, lots of good non farmer vendors including delicious pupusas, and other specialty vendors like craft, tea, and coffee. I love coming here!

I like a good farmer's market and thought it would be nice when they first started across the street from me. But, this one is run by inconsiderate people with no concern for the many residents of this area. I'm referring to their insistence on having live music every Saturday at 9am in a dense residential area of apts and condos. Some people might not mind, but a lot of us work during the week and would like to sleep in on weekends. There's an LA noise ordinance on sound amplifying equipment (though I'm not sure if their farmer's market permit gives them an exemption). Regardless, most farmer's markets do not have live music in residential areas. For the thousands of us in our units, it's just hours of mumbling noise early Saturdays. Vendors aren't that great either. I still end up going to Hollywood FM or Culver City...much better.

I wish there were more booths. Pupusas Yeni is so good and made to order. Brothers hummus and other goods are always tasty. Cooshi cupcakes are decadent.

I have to say that I can't wait to go to the market until Saturday, I like breathing in that atmosphere and finding people who sell excellent products and give you a smile and advice on the products!
