Social Eatery food hall is a gem located in Millbrae offering a variety of Chinese cuisine all in one easy-to-reach location. Social Eatery has a parking lot for patrons, which makes dining in easy. Upon entering the food hall, patrons will be guided to a table, and provided with a tablet on which they can place their orders from a variety of establishments contained within Social Eatery. After the order is placed, a staff member will bring the food and beverages straight to your table! When it's time to check out, you can either do so via their app/online or request a staff member to come and help you close out your bill. Social Eatery has the following 3 restaurants within: (1) Noodleosophy - a local Bay Area chain focusing on hand-pulled noodle dishes; (2) Rice Monster - specializing in Catonese claypot rice; and (3) Grapeholic - a tea shop with grape-centered drinks to round it out. We came here on a Saturday afternoon looking for a one-stop shop for our weekend lunch and decided to try something from each one of the establishments - after all, isn't that the beauty of food halls? We got the beef tendon noodle soup and prok and shrimp dumplings from Noodleosophy, the cha siu and steamed egg claypot rice from Rice Monster, and finished up our meal with two drinks from Grapeholic - cotton candy grape slush, and grape and lemon tea. (1) Noodleosophy - the beef tendon noodle soup was rich and flavorful, while the accompanying noodles were perfectly cooked and chewy - providing a great mouth feel to the dish. The dumplings were delicious as well, and were a nice addition to the meal as a whole. (2) Rice Monster - the cha siu and steamed egg clay pot rice was in a single word - satisfying. The salty-slightly-sweet cha siu paired well with the mild flavors of the egg, and the salty soy sauce you pour over the rice. I will say the rice could have been a little more scorched to provide the accompanying crunch that you expect from this dish; however, if you're really craving claypot rice and are in the area, then Rice Monster will definitely help satisfy that craving for you. (3) Grapeholic - the cotton candy grape slush was amazing - true to it's name it captured the cotton candy grape flavor in a delicious slush form that was both sweet and refreshing. The grape and lemon tea was also good; however, the lemon flavor was a bit overpowering and made it difficult to truly enjoy the grape that was in the drink. If you want grape to be the star of the show, then I'd recommend getting one of their grape-centered drinks instead. If you're ever in the Millbrae area and are looking for a great lunch spot, then Social Eatery has to be the next place on your list!

Love the decor, vibe and food. Service is a bit awkward - not sure why but it just made me feel a bit uneasy. Nothing major though. It’s an eatery in Asian style - meaning there are three styles of food and drinks - noodle, rice, and bubble tea. It has its own yard, building and parking. Love it!

Social Eatery offers a refreshing take on authentic homemade Chinese food. The steamed chicken with mushrooms was tender and flavorful, while the soup was light yet rich in taste. Unlike many other Chinese restaurants, the food here isn’t greasy or heavy—it’s light, fresh, and healthy. A perfect spot for those craving genuine Chinese dishes with a homemade touch. Highly recommend!

Cool place that is right next to the Dylan. Food looked good with lots of beef and noodle combinations. They give you a tablet to order which can be a pain in the butt but I guess once you are used to it, it's ok. Staff was helpful.

Good place for groups. They have a big serving. Their beef is good to eat; not chewy. Also, you can order boba after eating.

Social Eatery has a modern and inviting atmosphere. The decor is trendy, with comfortable seating and a relaxed vibe. It's a great spot for a casual meal with friends or family. The menu features a variety of noodles, rice bowls, and boba drinks. The fresh-made noodles are a highlight – they are perfectly cooked and have a wonderful texture. I tried the spicy garlic noodles and the chicken mushroom rice bowl, both of which were delicious and flavorful. The portions are generous, and the ingredients taste fresh. The staff at Social Eatery are friendly and efficient. They were quick to guide us to use the QR code on the tables to order our food and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The service was prompt, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Their boba drinks are a treat. I had the Mango sago, and it was just right – not too sweet, with Aloe. Social Eatery is a fantastic place to enjoy fresh noodles, tasty rice bowls, and refreshing boba drinks. The food quality is excellent, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is great.

The first place I’ve tried when I landed in San Francisco. My friends and I needed a place to eat before we could check in our Airbnb. We decided to check this place out. The food was great and the portions were worth the money. The best one though was beef stew noodle soup, the rib was cooked perfectly. The beef was tender and fell off the bone. The side dishes were also good, I enjoyed the dumplings and chicken katsu. Also had to try their matcha Oreo Tornado slush which was so good and creamy!

Never knew this was here until I have meetup with one of my group. The restaurant is pretty big with 3 or more different vendors, almost look like a food court in a way. There are also long table where people can share tables if they don't have big group. You order using a barcode or they will give you tablet to order. Pretty straightforward and easy to operate. Food comes in a little late but not too long. Servers are all nice and kind. Food is great! I love the cumin lamb, spices are pretty good but I wish it has a little more sauce on it and a tad more savory. But that's what additional soy sauce are for! Fish balls are mediocre, it's sweet instead of spicy, which is a little disappointing. All in all, I will try going back again!

Yelp
Interesting food court of sorts. They house Noodleosophy, Rice Monster and Grapeholic; without the speed of a food court. You have to wait for a table before you can order, which can definitely take a while since the space is quite small. Then you order from a tablet once you're seated. Everything is on one menu, so it's not a clear distinction which of the places you're even ordering from. We had the Unagi bowl (advertised as taking 18 minutes), which is pretty standard, but I liked that it came in a clay pot so you can scrape off all the crispy rice. Beef noodle soup we had was pretty good. Choice of ramen or rice noodles-- the ramen noodles we chose were pretty thick, definitely more like udon noodles, so I didn't care for that much, but did enjoy all the crispies floating in the flavorful soup (I assume crispy shallots/garlic type things). There's also a completely vegetarian soup option which is nice, and you can always add on more vegetables/meats to your soup as well. Shrimp and pork dumplings were average- this was the one I wasn't sure which restaurant it was technically from, I assume Noodleosophy- they were soft and tender, but the dish was small. Parking is very limited street parking mostly. Not on, but walkable to DT Millbrae (10 minute walk)

Yelp
This was such a great find! We were spending the night near the airport to catch an early morning flight. My husband was resigned to finding cheap fast food but I was sure we could do better. I popped open my trusty Yelp app and it led me to Social Eatery. From the moment you drive up it is warm and inviting. Parking was easy and we saw families walking in, which is always a good sign. Inside it was bright and cheerful with a bright red dragon weaving across the ceiling. There was a happy buzz from the many people there enjoying dinner but it was not so loud that it was difficult to talk. There are three vendors to choose from, Grapeholic (tea), Rice Monster (Cantonese rice bowls), and the one we chose, Noodleosophy. We both enjoyed delicious, filling, noodle dishes. A perfect meal for a good rest before a long flight home.

Yelp
Combining Rice Monster, Noodleosophy, and Grapaholic, Social Eatery boasts noodles, rice, and boba/slushes all in a single eating area. Lots of room to sit though service can be chaotic. Order via the QR codes at each table, and you can order individually or by table (combined menu for the 3 establishments). I got the beef ramen and crushed cucumbers from Noodleosophy. Being in a large party. I excused the long wait time. The ramen noodle bowl was quite affordable, even with the extra pickled veggies and broccoli I ordered. And the crushed cucumbers were also large enough to share with half a dozen of my party as well. Our party was able to share other entrees from Rice Monster as well, so while the entire eating experience was pandemonium of passing plates and sharing bowls, it was welcomed. I love the variety and idea of Social Eatery. As its name suggests, it's a place to share food with others, and as someone who loves catch-ups over a communal meal, I thought it fit my vibe perfectly.

Yelp
It seems like food quality has dipped quite a lot since I've last visited. I was here with some friends around noon. There were maybe 3 other tables worth of customers. Clay pot dishes usually take time, so I was prepared to wait. But somehow my drink order took even longer to make.

Yelp
I like the variety of foods this place offers. It has a little bit of everything that I like- rice, noodles, and boba. I got the sliced beef and pickled veggies rice noodles, clay pot rice with chicken and pork ribs (+ Chinese sausage), and pure grape drink. Everything was solid. The price point is a little pricey at $17 per dish for the quality but it's still pretty good. The clay pot rice was lacking the crispy rice exterior. But considering the service was fast and you get different variety in one place, it's a good spot for people to try different things in one place.

Yelp
Social Eatery--it's a great place to catch up with friends, family, and the community. I rate the cleanliness 3 out of 5 and the food 4.5 out of 5. The restaurant has a bit of a sticky feeling inside, so I think they should clean the surfaces more frequently. I really enjoyed my curry ramen, especially after adding on tofu and an egg; my bowl was incredibly flavorful. The portions are generous--one bowl could easily feed two people if you're only mildly to moderately hungry. There were three of us, and we all ended up with leftovers, which felt a bit excessive. I tried their grape drink with cheese crema, which was a unique combination that I hadn't encountered before. While it was fun to try, I wouldn't consider it the best option.

Yelp
Duplicate review, see Grapeholic. 3 businesses in one with one owner. Grapeholic, Noodle Osophy, Rice Monster. Going to an event tonight but got here an hour early. So we came to this place to hang out and relax before the event. Quality/Quantity - Coconut Mango Latte - My coffee. This was good, but way too fancy for me. Oh, my daughter wrote in the comments section on the kiosk when ordering to add boba and they did!! The manager mentioned to her that this is not a normal/standard thing, but they still honored it. And he did not even charge us, thank you. Grape & Tea Jelly - Added boba for 65¢ more. My daughter liked her drink. Taro & Milk - Our guest enjoyed her drink. Crispy Chicken Nuggets - It was temperature hot as it came fresh out of the fryer. Free fruit, see pictures. We did not take it. Catering and pop-up events are also available, see website. Atmosphere - Cool, young, and hip vibe atmosphere; I fit right in, lol. Cool decor from the exterior to the interior, see pictures. Indoor or outdoor seating. Complimentary games available, my daughter chose two to play (not at the same time). Small parking lot, but not an issue for us. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 8pm or 8:30pm. Service - This is how a business should be run! The manager greeted us as we entered and asked if we would dine-in or take-out. We shared that we just wanted drinks, so he directed us to the self service kiosk. Then my daughter and I ordered. Our guest, after seeing our drinks, wanted one also. But she struggled with the kiosk, and the manager saw this and came out to help her. What great service! My daughter then saw that if we posted on social media, we would get a complimentary crispy chicken nugget (or butterfly shrimp). Well, I was already posting my pictures on Yelp and the manager honored it. Again, great service. Complimentary self-service water. Loyalty program available, see picture or website. Price - $22 for 3 drinks. Not expensive in my book for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success since April of 2022! Noodle Osophy has 3 locations.

Yelp
The Social Eatery has great food, drinks, and a lovely environment for groups. We stopped by on our way home from the airport and am impressed by the three vendors to choose from and the addition of the foosball table. First we ordered the dry lamb cumin noodles - these wide and long noodles came with delicious lamb, onions, and broccoli. We also ordered the Lap Mei clay pot, which wasn't as impressive; I would order this again. The Pure Grape drink was to die for, especially with the recent hot days. We snuck in a game of Uno before our food arrived and also played a game of foosball in the back area after our meal.

Yelp
Social Eatery in person is definitely a lot better than to-go. We opted for the meal for two which allows for two appetizers, two entrees, two drinks, and two fruit for $56. For apps, we went with the classic crushed cucumbers ($6.99) and the curry fish balls ($5.99). For such a warm night, the crushed cucumbers really hit the spot. These are really just marinated with chili oil though and I definitely prefer the ones that include ample minced garlic. The curry fish balls were interesting because it wasn't in the traditional yellow curry. It featured more of a laksa-esque flavor. The curry could have been a tad thicker just to coat the fish balls better but it was also nice drinking the broth after too! For entrees, we tried the chicken and mushroom clay pot and the beef and tendon noodle soup ($16.99 each). The clay pot was really tasty. The chicken was marinated almost like that of chicken bao. I also really enjoyed the light ginger undertones throughout. The clay pot rice itself could have been a tad more crispy and I thought the soy could have been a little more salty but generally it was good. A shake of white pepper also really would have hit the spot. As for the noodle soup, it was chocked full of beef and tendon bites. I really enjoyed the thin noodles in this dish specifically! For drinks, I got the standard grapeholic ($7.25) and bf got the fruit tea ($6.75). Both were very refreshing. For dessert, it was fruit...and you just grab it from the basket lol. It's a bit odd if you ask me haha. If we exclude the price of the fruits, we already got a good value (10% off) at $56 vs $61 a la carte.

Yelp
Noodles, rice, great Boba drinks. All under one room. This is made up of Rice Monster, Noodleosophy, and Grapaholic. All great together or seperately. Flavours are great, cooling time is pretty standard and accurate. The portions are great as well regardless if you by yourself or sharing. Oh, don't forget to order your rice dish with the soup or (Tah-ng). Once your done eating the rice pot rice, there's usually a scorched bottom. Use the soup to mix 8n with the scorched rice and it just makes it into this amazing aromatic slurry if soup. Textures, and flavours! Small to medium sized parties will be easier, but large parties will find it hard at times. So please be early and plan ahead.

Yelp
Super cute place to hang out. But the food we ordered was okay. I tried the chicken and pork ribs and for $17 I expected more. I didn't get to take a picture because by the time we received our plates I was starving and ready to eat. There weren't a lot of people during the time so I was wondering why our order was taking so long. But seems like all the noodle orders were coming out faster. So maybe next time I'll try their noodles instead.

Yelp
Decent choice of Chinese noodles and rice menu, tasty beef noodle, and bobas drinks. I got in without wait time at 1pm on Saturday and seated in nice table for a party of 2. The staff gave us much time to enjoy the meals and drinks, plus socializing.

Yelp
Our favorite thing was the beef noodle soup with the river and had pulled noodles. The noodles were perfect text her and the piece fell off the rib bone. It was really tender and surprised us. Id definitely order this again. The Eel fried rice was good, slightly underwhelming with the rice being slightly hard.

Yelp
Wait this place is so good! The noodle soup and claymores are enough for two meals - we were so full and it was well worth the value. The vibe is nice too; plenty of parking and there are games for you to borrow. Got the biang biang soup noodles with tomato egg and meat. Yummy. The highest spicy level is more like medium level - def has a kick but not too bad.

Yelp
A deal available for DINE-IN ONLY is 2 orders for $56 (each order includes a noodle or clay pot, a drink, appetizer, and supposedly a fruit), but my table of 6 never received our fruits. Table receives a tablet to order items, not the greatest user interface since it is laggy. Order a lot of different variety of appetizers. Known for their hand pull noodles, each bowl does contain a lot of noodles I got the a mild spicy sliced beef noodle which has quail eggs, fried shallots, tofu, but I found that it lacked flavor. The soup was missing some umami flavor and could use more beef slices. As for the drinks, mango sago was delicious. As for the milk tea, did not taste any tea flavor at all, and the boba is slightly hard. More of a causal and chill spot, there are board games to play among the table. This place has a bit of everything from food, drinks, and games. Overall, 3.5/5

Yelp
Came here with Tiny around 11:20am, we were craving for some beef stew Biang Biang noodles and unagi bo jai faun. We also got some spicy cucumber and their new persimmon drink. We sat down and scanned the QR code to order. The food came shortly and the ambiance was nice. They were playing good Chinese pop music and it felt like home. When it was 12:00pm the place was packed! Glad we got here early. Delicious and affordable, will be back soon. -iG@BlackTigerEats

Yelp
The beef tendon with beef noodles is my favorite thing here! You can do the 2 person dine in deal for $56. This includes two entrees, an appetizer, 2 drinks Service was fast. You order on an ipad and people bring out your food as it is ready. It's always full in here and business is good! I'm happy this place is doing well. There's three restaurants inside and you can order from all of them for nice variety in your meal! Mango sago drinks were also really good! It is currently decorated with red lanterns and a red dragon on the ceiling.

Yelp
When we walked into the restaurant we were greeted by this Mexican woman. She was very nice and took us to the table. Then she handed us the iPad to place our orders. It was kind of complicated from that iPad and we were struggling with it then we asked for help from the waitress. It took her awhile to figure it out. We asked her do they have regular menu we can look at she said no. Don't like that iPad at all. Finally we placed ours ordered. Food was tasty and sitting was comfortable. We ordered the chicken and mushrooms rice in clay pot it took about 20 minutes to come out. Rice smells very good when it came out. We also ordered the Biang Biang thick noodles with lambs. It was good too. Doesn't recommend if you don't wanted to deal with the iPad to placed your orders.

Yelp
Party of 9 but most of us first time. No waiter person to help explain anything? Just given a tablet to put in your order. We came with someone that has eaten here so he knew the drill. Our orders all came out wrong. Extra broccoli charged that was on at least 4 or 5 orders that we did not order extra broccoli. Some requested mild or not spicy in their soup but we could see the red pepper flakes when the bowl was placed on the table. Waiter didn't seem to care when we said we didn't order any extra broccoli and when we said we ordered mild but we see the red pepper flakes? The waiter just put the bowl of soup noodles on the table and did not want to deal with who ordered what and if the order was correct or wrong. Just placed it on the table and left. This place is okay. Clean and roomy, and parking lot is a plus. Good for big groups for a quick bite.

Yelp
Am I the only person who absolutely hates spending the night at places even if it's a friends house? Like we can party until 5am but I'm still going home and doing my 10 step night routine. Came here to meet a friend after a very late night out. .:: FOOD ::. Chicken Feet and Pork Ribs $15.99 (+$1.99 Chinese Sausage add on): chicken feet, sauteed pork ribs, chinese sausage. Comes in a clay pot and a very known canto dish, 煲仔飯. The rice on the bottom crisps up as it sits on the pot . Very simple dish. Wish the pork ribs were more on the salty savory side, it had more sweetness to it, and I wish the chicken feet had more meat to it. Biang Biang Garlic Noodle $12.99: Comes with a mountain of bean sprout, broccoli, and biang biang noodles topped with garlic, ginger, cilantro and green onion. A little spicy kick to it. Loved the texture of the noodle, but wish we were able to add things to it, as it was plain without any meat. Pure Grape $6.75: Fresh grape and Michelia green tea smoothie. Comes with crystal boba, fresh grape bits and salted cream cheese. I replaced the crystal boba with aloe vera. One of their more popular drinks but I found it lacking in taste. Could barely taste the grape flavor. Wish it was more sweet. .:: Service / Ambiance / Parking ::. Terrible Service. Pretty much self service on everything. You order on your phone through QR code. Wait was super long and unorganized. Located inside Social Eatery, but there's no waitlist, no way to put your name down. You literally just wait at the door in line (very narrow if I may add), until a table opens up. They need to at least let you write your name down. My friend wanted to ask if we could add something on our order and the waiter was so rudely annoyed. He did a big sigh, rolled his eyes and was like no your order is in you cannot add anything. It was SO hard to flag ANYONE down, we just went up and grabbed things ourselves: napkins, to go box, etc. All the waiters literally did was bring food out and thats it. The place has a cute little exterior outside, when I went it was during Halloween week, it was decked out in Halloween decors. The inside had logs / wooden vibes as table. There were ones in high chairs, ones with benches, ones with low tables/ chairs. Parking was scary. The parking lot is SO narrow and small. I feel like its asking for an accident to happen. I would recommend parking on the street, it's much more space and safer.

Yelp
This place is roomy and has a parking lot. Service is slow and the staff members look like they are lacking energy. Today we ordered the Crispy Chicken, Beef Stew, and Beef Stew with Tendon and wide noodles. The Crispy Chicken is very crispy and tasty with the dipping sauce. The Beef Stew is too tender and seems like they cooked it too long, no texture. Also there was too much "Chinese bean sauce", which over powers the taste. The wide noodles are too doughy, not chewy at all. The drinks were okay, but for the grape drink there was too little green tea flavor and the boba would be better if it were regular black boba.

Yelp
Ordered for dad and sister pickup through Toast. Got the beef biang biang noodle stew, shrimp/pork dumplings, and pure grape less sweet [foam cream comes with it] The drink was good, mixed and unmixed [before shaking the drink, and after] The beef stew was a lot for takeout, and there was plenty of beef and noodles too, considering most plays skimp on the noodle part, esp after paying about $15-17 range. The dumplings were not bad too. It was packed around 6pm when we walked inside too. Luckily theres plenty of parking outside The thing I disliked was it was a bit pricy, and the entryway, it had a self serve kiosk for takeout, , but it seemed a little cramped, to find out where there is pickup items [on the corner side where you have to turn your head] but the lady server, didnt say hi or thank you, even after we ordered $107 in items

Yelp
Got me a mango sago drink and it was pretty good with 30% sweetness. Dumplings were alright too. Easy parking. It kind of reminded me of Local Kitchen where there are different kiosks where you can order various types of foods.

Yelp
judging by the name, i thought this was going to be something like a food hall. but it's more like a "dine-in with an ipad" type scenario, where you order from all the stalls off that ipad. not exactly the most "social" experience and not exactly the cleanest ipad, either. what makes it social might be the long tables for large groups, board games and foosball. but it's not as spacious as i presumed it would be for a "social eatery." i guess it just feels more spacious and modern than other chinese restaurants in millbrae. i give it some kudos for the culturally creative decor. but the bulk of my stars really goes out to grapeholic. the pepper beef dumplings were not bad but just overshadowed in comparison. my girl, pure grape, stands strong on her own; her jellies satisfying as the perfect snack and weekend pick-me-up. when mixed with that grape slush and cheesy foam--my goodness, she is heavenly. best believe i'll be ordering her from my own ipad at home next time. (i don't actually have an ipad though so it'll just be ubereats on my phone.)

Yelp
First day of Vacation! Saw this and decided to stop by and check it out! It was very pretty as we came inside, very clean and very well organized! One thing I was Immediately disappointed by was that there was no waitress at all. We were set to our table then given a tablet to order. No kind waitress to talk to or ask questions. I was very displeased by this. I ordered the Chicken and Pork Ribs and, wow, Wow was it good! With one Really bad exception. Most of the meat had bones in them, some big bones, and some bones that could have been a choking hazard. I don't know if that's a normal thing for small bite sized meat pieces, but it wasn't pleasant. Overall I'd say it was very mediocre. The taste of the food definitely saves it, but lack of any employee interaction unless if you actively get up and ask them, and how bones are left in their meats, even when they're so small, holds it back for me personally.

Yelp
(Overall: D) - Social Eatery is an interesting premise with a bunch of small shops that are supposed to specialize in their own dish -- Rice Monster for their Claypot Rice and Noodleosophy for their Noodles. However, I found the food to be subpar (see below) despite the seemingly interesting menu options and certainly overpriced for the basically non-existent service as it was almost entirely self-serve. The area itself was decorated nicely and comforting, but it's not like you go to a restaurant to eat the decorations... (Beef Tendon Soup: F) - This was a disaster-filled bowl. First, the tendon was ironically not tender because it was not braised long enough. Second, the broccoli was straight up raw it felt like it was just picked from the forest. Finally, for a warm soup this bowl of noodles was surprisingly not warm making this just a very unpleasant experience. (Chicken and Mushroom Claypot Rice: C) - We added chinese sausage and egg. I found the rice here to be tender on the inside and crispy on the outside as intended, which is great. The dish looks and tastes good, but somehow was quite expensive. (Pork Rib Soup: B) - This soup was very strong but healing and refreshing. There were a lot of soup ingredients and the pork was tender. --- Food: 1/4 Presentation: 2/4 Price: 1/4 Service: 1/4 Atmosphere: 3/4 Menu: 3/4 IG: @amei.eats

Yelp
I think I remember coming to this building yeeears ago, but it was a Japanese restaurant back then? Anywho, Social Eatery definitely piqued my interest when I saw what this place had to offer: clay pot rice and boba? I'm sold. Even though there are different restaurants (I'm not sure if it's the same owner? Or just three restaurants housed in one location?), it is a sit-down establishment and you can order from the same online place. I ordered a rice clay pot, husband ordered noodles, and we both got drinks. He got a mango latte and I got a plain boba milk tea. The waiter also mentioned that we shouldn't pay via the app, and instead, wait until the end where we would have to ask him for the check. I have my suspicions as to why this is (paying online vs sit down service with a check.... You can figure it out). I unfortunately wasn't impressed with my rice dish. The rice was particularly dry, even though I recognize that clay pot dishes usually are on the drier side. Even though that's the case, it just didn't hit the spot like I thought it would. My drink also wasn't anything to write home about either - definitely a run of the mill boba. My husband's dish was actually more tasty, and he loved the mango latte (literally mango + latte.... Such an interesting combo I admit). All in all, I would probably come back to get noodles and maybe a more interesting drink.

Yelp
The wait took awhile. Order couple of items which was good , chicken, spare ribs & rice and the drink taste like hk milk tea, and spicy chicken. Will come back to try the noodles next time.

Yelp
This place feels more like a fast food restaurant to me. All the ingredients were all pre-made except for the noodle. It ran like an assembly line. The chicken karaage was very bland and dry. Would not order again. The only + was that their drinks were good.

Yelp
Came with my parents on a Tuesday for lunch. Glad we can a bit earlier because shortly after noon, there was already a line! Cute inside seating - I like the booths by the window. Foozball table in the back and free popcorn machine by the door when you're waiting. Scan the QR code to place your order, and the waiter comes by with food and water. Rice claypots take a bit longer, but the crispy rice on the bottom is sooooo good. It comes with some sweetish soy based sauce to drizzle but we didn't because the rice was already rich and oily enough from the meats and we didn't need extra flavor on top of that. Generous amount of toppings. My dad said he probably wouldn't splurge for the abalone next time, since it's just the three on top like you can get canned, but they were still tender and a fun treat. I got the cumin lamb, spicy, biang biang noodles. My mom got the pesto vegetarian, also same noodles. We both loved ours. The noodle texture is spot on and so enjoyable to eat. The pesto wasn't overwhelming and there was a good amount of veg in the veg bowl. The cumin lamb is strongly spiced and very flavorful. I actually wished there was a bit less lamb and more noodles, because it was SO generous on the meat! Brought my husband a dry noodle bowl home and he said it tasted like cumin lamb skewers but the noodle version (he loved his too). Sure, maybe gailan would feel like a more "authentic" veg, but I like how to broccoli soaked up the spicy broth, and it just contributed to the overall feel of a very Californian-Chinese place. Got two grapeholic drinks to go - strawberry lemonade and a grape and lemon. I like the grape bits AND crystal boba AND aloe, but hey I just like to chew my drinks. Drinks were perfectly fruity. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
I ordered beef noodle soup and found pork in it. The soup lacked the flavor it used to have, and it seems like their standards have dropped compared to when I visited regularly. It's either a decline in food quality or a change in the chef. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to give it another try until the customers back in their store like before!

Yelp
First time here and the food was pretty good. It was too hot so I didn't get super spicy and old mild. It is a cute spot with rice options as well.

Yelp
3 eateries in 1 location. Pretty much a food court. Ordering is through kiosk for takeout or on your phone for dine in. They offer free wifi but it's not great. Considering you have to order from your own device, you would think with the bad service, the wifi would be good but it really wasn't. It took quite some time to connect to the wifi and to get the website to go through. In the time it took to put the order in on my phone, I could've easily ordered in person and had my food already. Not so great when you've got children that are hungry. Food came out rather quick. It was actually quite delicious. Beef stew was good. Great flavors. Beef was tender and perfect! Chicken & pork ribs was good. Pork ribs could've been cooked longer. I would've liked it to be more fall off the bone. Comes with a sauce on the side but I feel that it should automatically just be poured over instead of on the side. Shrimp & pork dumplings were nice & fresh. It was quite delicious. On the way out, we decided to order a drink on the kiosk. Much faster than trying to order on the phone. We got the taro & boba. It was yummy. Taro was chunky which is great for really getting that taro flavor. Possibly come back again. Maybe just order to go unless their wifi/internet service is better. 4 stars for difficulty in ordering only through your phone.

Yelp
This process was so easy, got a booth, scanned the QR code and ordered food and drinks. I loved the fried chicken curry mild spice, it was so flavorful, the chicken was perfectly crispy and the heat was just right!! This restaurant was so cute and comfortable, clean and modern with a quaint feel. We had minimal contact with a server, you order and pay on your phone, it was a new dine in experience and I'd come back again. My friends and I loved our meals and drinks, would recommend!!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised at how busy this place is. It was easy to order on phone . We went early so had seating . Ordered three different clay pot rice and 3 soups . We agreed the quality of the burnt rice at bottom of the clay pot was excellent ... would be a mistake to order this to go . The ginseng soup was very good . The coconut chicken soup was a little too salty . The pork patty claypot was good. The pork ribs was very good . The ribs and chicken feet was very good . Everything served very hot and fresh . We didn't order from the other two restaurants . We go to Noodlelosophy regularly at their downtown location .

Yelp
Social Eatery is a space that has 2 restaurants and 1 boba place all in one - Noodleosophy, Rice Monster, and Grapeholic. It's very close to the Millbrae BART/Caltrain station (a 3-minute walk) and also has a pretty big parking lot. There's a screen near the entrance for people that are just ordering boba to-go. If you're there for dine-in, they'll lead you to some seats and you can order from all three places at the same time. Lots of seats for dine-in and there's even a foosball table. Our table had a QR code for you to see the menu and order but they brought a tablet over for us to order. Not sure why but I have no issues with that. We ordered Beef Stew & Tendon (公公半筋半腩) and Pickled & Sliced Beef (知府酸湯肥牛). Took a little while for the orders to arrive (almost thought that they were preparing everything from scratch and cutting a whole cow open on the spot), and there were kids running around in the place so it was pretty loud. But after tasting the food, I have to say that the wait was worth it! The servings were pretty big, and the broth was very flavorful. Wasn't too overly seasoned and the texture of the noodles were great.

Yelp
A fun little place I would return to, but not go out of my way for. Met some cousins here for dinner and we ordered a bunch of things across the three stalls. From Rice Monster: One cousin got the lap mei (preserved pork and Chinese sausage); another got the pork patty (Chinese steamed pork) with an added spiced egg and poached egg; I got the unagi and added a poached egg. We all enjoyed our bowls, but wished they came with some veggies to help balance all the rice and meat. All of the bowls also came with a little side of sweet soy, which went with their bowls but not so much with mine (which came topped with unagi sauce). We were, however, disappointed with the egg options. My cousin who got the pork patty wished they offered a salted egg (like the one that usually comes on Chinese steamed pork). His spiced egg (basically a tea egg) was overcooked (rubbery white with a yolk had that greenish tinge), and both of our "poached" eggs were actually over-medium eggs that weren't runny. From Noodleosophy: My cousin's wife got the cumin lamb and really liked it. Another cousin got the garlic noodles and said that while they were tasty, they got a little boring after a while. She said it seemed more like a side dish you'd share with others to supplement your main courses. From Grapeholic: Cousin's wife got a strawberry lemonade and enjoyed it. Cousins got something with watermelon (said it was just okay) and two cotton candy grape slushes (one cousin liked hers, the other thought it was kind of bland and didn't like the cheese foam). I tried the grape slush and agreed with the cousin who thought it didn't have much flavor. We were seated at one of the high tables. The stools were surprisingly comfy. They were padded and had backs, and the legs had bars that we short people could rest our feet on. We didn't love the online ordering/menus, but at least they no longer force a mandatory 15% gratuity upon you (which older reviews mention), considering there really isn't any service. They seat you, bring your food, and then bus the tables, but you order online and nobody ever checks on you. There's a small lot, but plenty of street parking.

Yelp
My visit to Social Eatery in San Francisco was a mix of delightful surprises and some hits and misses. The standout of the day was undoubtedly the cotton candy grape drink - hands down the best grape slush I've ever had. The burst of flavors was both refreshing and unique, making it a must-try. On to the main courses, the claypot rice with Chinese sausage left me with mixed feelings. While the rice was a bit on the salty side, the chicken and mushroom combo was a winner. The generous serving of charred rice at the bottom added a delightful crunch to each bite. The ambiance at Social Eatery is decidedly modern, creating a trendy and inviting atmosphere. The sleek decor and vibe add to the overall dining experience.

Yelp
Food is very tasty, clay pot rice has the crust and not overly cooked in the middle. Noodles came in good portions and spice on the side. Prep time is quick and price is reasonable with prompt service. The setting is clean and neat, has foosball table for kids while you wait. Nice bar tables with high chairs or booths for small parties. Will recommend to friends and family.

Yelp
We had a craving for some clay pot rice and bang bang noodles, so I came down to Social Eatery on a rainy night. Usually, it's pretty crowded, but tonight it was pretty empty...must be the rain that scared people away. Anyway, their clay pot rice is probably the best in the SF Bay area. Ordered the Lap Mei rice and chicken feet & Pork ribs clay pot rice. We also tried three bang bang noodles, in Curry lamb, Beef Stew, and the Spicy & Sour bang bang noodles. We were pretty hungry. Both were excellent, and they don't skimp on the cured meat. I think there was more meat than rice! The rice is cooked perfectly every time. I would definitely come back for more.

Yelp
Hidden Gem Found! This spot popped up when looking for noodles near us and we were pleasantly surprised how poppin' Social Eatery was. It includes 3 separate places in a single food court style eatery: Noodlesophy, Rice Monster and Grapeholic. After being seated you can scan the QR code and select your meal and enter the location for them to deliver to your table. 15% gratuity included in every order. The Halloween decor was on point! Way over the top and much appreciated :-) The wife tried the sizzling garlic, wide and thick noodle with baby bok Choy, strong spicy 5/5. I chose the meat paste with ramen noodle, corn, green onion and zucchini...delicious 5/5. So good could be a weekly splurge if I lived here! Our next visit to SF we will try the beef stew noodle dumplings and the above were awesome. The milk tea's had a nice variety with add-ons like boba, mochi, taro, grass jelly, red bean, aloe vera and more! Pleasant staff able to answer all your questions. Tip: Noodles made in house: From Dough to Bowl, fresh noodles crafted by Pro's.

Yelp
I went into this place with no expectations. The staff was very nice. They work hard! I order the curry chicken it was okay. It had this sweet and savory taste but the sweetness through me off. I ordered this pineapple drink. It wasn't what i expected but i did not hate it. I want to go back and find out what is really good. I also want to try a grape drink.

Yelp
I work a block away from here and have come here maybe twice in the past for just boba. I finally went to eat with a co worker and we tried their soup. Beef soup and the chicken curry ramen. I will say, the chicken curry ramen was the best. The flavor was so tasty and rich and blends well with the ramen, the chicken katsu topper was crispy and just fits perfectly with the bowl. Recently , i went to get this again for take out and i think i like it better for take out now haha but will go back for more!

Yelp
This is the perfect place to go for a quick bite! They offer a variety of Asian dishes as well as boba which is perfect for me. We ordered the beef noodle soup, dumplings, cha siu bao, and a boba drink. Prices are fairly reasonable. The weekends tend to get busy but the turnover is pretty fast! They have lots of tables available to dine-in as well as a takeout option. Will definitely be going back!

Yelp
4.5 stars, great local options Great addition to the local area. It's not a huge bustling food court, but it's a great restaurant option when you're in the mood for noodles, rice, and fancy drinks. They change up the decor for the holidays and it's been steadily getting busier. Been here a handful of times and the parking has been easy. It's also not terrible to walk to if you know your way around. Relatively spacious, lots of seating options (some outdoor) and they have high chairs. Standout items I will keep coming back for: - chicken & curry: think chicken katsu with laksa inspired curry. - orange coffee: very refreshing My only complaint would be that it can take a while for the drinks to come out and for the stone pot dishes to be prepared, so give yourself some time.

Yelp
Such a cute place to eat at, with a variety of choices in a food hall vibe. I love the concept of ordering from different "stalls", yet altogether through the QR code, which makes it convenient. The cumin lamb with biang biang noodle from Noodleosophy is on the salty side, but it has a great depth of flavor and it's the closest to Xi'an noodle in NY. The broccoli is quite unusual though. The lap mei pot rice from Rice Monster was average. The toppings were delicious, but the rice was mushy. The highlight was the drinks because Grapeholic is so good. My go-to is the Pure Grape which is a green tea slushy with salted cheese, boba, crystal boba and real grapes. The flavor is so refreshing and the salted cheese balances the sweetness and makes it creamy. A 15% service charge is included during the payment so don't worry about calculating tips. Asides from when you get your food, there's not much interaction with the servers, but whenever there was an interaction, they were always nice and aware of the empty dishes.
