This is a great spot for modern Southern food. There’s no kids' menu, but it’s kid-friendly. The biscuits are amazing—fresh, flaky, and delicious. The burgers were just okay because the bun was a bit soggy inside. The fried green tomatoes were crispy with a nice chili kick. Overall, it’s a nice place with a good atmosphere and tasty food.

Our server, I believe her name was Kate, was awesome! We came in on a Wednesday for lunch and had the Mac and cheese and it was the best I’ve ever had. And I’m pretty critical of Mac n cheese. Haha. It was AMAZING. I had met someone who used to be a chef there (Robert Kennedy - actual name, no relation) and he recommended we go while in town. And it did not disappoint. Everything was so flavorful and the portions were huge for the price! Honestly, it was a great deal for exceptional food. Will definitely recommend and be back. 🤤

We had an amazing experience at Social. Our drinks were TOP TIER. Our bartender Colt did such a great job! Drinks were well-balanced and flavor was on POINT. Service was amazing! Our food was timely and delicious. We will be back and tell all of our friends to come here too.

My wife and I enjoy a rare date night. I had the steak & frites and my wife had the smoked Chicken & Sweet Potato Biscuits. The food was very good. The service was top shelf and the atmosphere was perfect. We were looking for a place we could actually have a conversation and not have to yell across the table.

Even though they are going through and renovations this place is gorgeous! Everyone we encountered was absolutely the sweetest. Abby was our waitress and even for being busy she was on top of everything from drinks to food. The food oh my gosh my mouth eaters just thinking about it. It was so delicious and flavorful. The drinks were beautifully on point also and so yummy. Highly recommend!!!

The meal was absolutely fantastic, every single bite was a delight. The servers were incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was so relaxing and inviting. From start to finish, it was a wonderful dining experience. Overall, I would say it was a great time.

Great service, good food, nice cocktails, and extensive spirits menu. Brussel Sprouts were great. Burger and Fries were also good. Clean and Beautiful restaurant. The Christmas Vacation decorations were on point.

Hands down one of the best brunch spots in Lafayette. This cute restaurant is adorable. From the decor to the wait staffs uniforms, the ambiance is unmatched. Every time I visit this restaurant I order the fried chicken with biscuits. This dish comes with every part of the chicken (thigh, breast, leg, and wing). The flavor is divine. It also features sweet potato biscuits. I don't even eat sweet potatoes but these biscuits are one of a kind. The only hiccup was that my biscuits were cold. However they were still good. Anytime I am in Lafayette this restaurant is a must visit!

Holy cow! Very well done. Small menu, well executed, great staff! We started with the fried green tomatoes, mimosas and Bloody Mary! So yum. The tomatoes are drizzled with Primo hot honey with homemade ranch! My family had a gathering this weekend and ended here. So very tasty! We enjoyed the smoked fried chicken, nestled atop two sweet potato biscuits, drizzled with more of that delectable honey. I snuck a bite of my hubby's grits and that was amazing! It's an amazing place, plenty of cocktails to be interesting and you can tell the restaurants really cares about great food and experiences! The fries are crisp, the home style potatoes also yum! Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food!

Holy brunch Mollie! I was not expecting this place to be as incredible as it was! I absolutely loved everything!! Brunch is served on Sundays. We ordered the walk of shame fries. I didn't think anything about ordering French friends with an egg on top. Big deal... but YES! It is a big deal! I don't know what they put in there, but it was addictive and flavorful. I almost wished I had ordered a second one. Everyone needs to order this! Then I ordered the friend chicken n biscuits. OK, I grew up on Popeyes. This fried chicken had a kick, oh my gosh, it was so juicy and spicy, I loved every bite! I hope this place is around for Yeats to come because every visit to Lafayette, I'm brunching here!

What a treat! Social Southern was spectacular, and -- so help me God, I'll be back! The Yelpers have spoken, it's delicious, and the hubs and I decided to give it a whirl only to be completely smitten with the flavors, innovative menu options, and the delicious cocktails. We had a spread and everything was our "favorite." The krab nachos, the coconut curry, the hummus, the social cheeseburger-- all divine. The brown derby cocktail was delicious and well balanced. The service was friendly and the ambiance was nice as well! I can't wait to travel through again and try more menu items. This is the spot! Cheers!

This classy establishment has delicious cuisine. The garden salad with quinoa was amazing! Which is saying something because I am not the biggest salad lover. The Mac and cheese with sweet potatoes biscuits slathered in butter and honey were epic. Protip: wear business casual or nicer. I felt very inappropriately clad in casual attire, as they have linen napkins and well-dressed staff.The Social is conveniently located in the heart of Lafayette and has its own parking lot. The server was nice. I did not feel particularly welcome... which could have been because of my too-casual attire (my fault- not theirs).

Very unique and energetic place. Nice twist to southern comfort food. Drinks are refreshing and good selection. The service is friendly. The atmosphere is contemporary rustic.

So we had a work lunch here. This was my first time visiting. The restaurant is very nice modern nice art work. Servers wear gingham style button up with suspenders. Reminds me of Olive or Twist. The menu has some very unique items. Some appear to be Asian inspired like the crab nachos which were just ok. The food is very unique if that is what you are into. That isn't my thing Brussel sprouts were on the aioli was good Mac and cheese was a NO Smoked fried chicken was good but it could have just been smoked Fries good My worker had the pork Sammie and the other had the burger they said they were good. The show stopper was the sweet potato biscuits with honey and butter If you are looking for unique eats you may enjoy this place

I adored this place. Fantastic service at the bar from Colt, who was able to create and recommend incredible cocktails. I love that the staff is featured on the pages of the menu! The risotto was the best I've ever had. It's a beautiful cozy space that is very comfortable and clean. Whether you're a local or a visitor like me, I highly recommend this place!

The service was attentive and my appetizers were good. This place has pretty cute decor if you choose to sit at a booth. Will be back for lunch or brunch.

Everything was AMAZING! The atmosphere and design is honestly something you'd find in the city. Food was delicious and craft drinks were top tier.

Wonderful ambience! Great for a date night, brunch, or just a nice meal. We were greeted warmly at the entry, and seated immediately. The service was attentive. The brunch menu is not very big, so I do feel there is room for improvement in that way. All but one of our fishers were quite impressive. I would give it a solid 4.5 out of 5!

We were in town for a funeral and picked this place as a rando stop. Excellent 5 star service, food, and craft beer selection.

While visiting Lafayette, Louisiana, for a conference, I took a Uber ride from my hotel to Social Southern. Upon arrival around 1:00 p.m., there was no wait. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff was excellent. My server was attentive and available to answer all my questions. I ordered the social cheeseburger and truffle fries. One of the best burgers I've ever tasted, hands down. The truffle fries were also delicious, and I dipped them in the spicy mayo sauce. I know it probably doesn't sound appetizing, but it was. Along with my meal, I ordered a sparkling cosmo (actually 2), and it was just as delicious as the meal. I loved this place so much that I went back before catching my flight home and ordered their biscuits and honey to go. Whew! So good! Definitely worth the visit if you're ever in the area!

The hostess was warm and welcoming. I enjoyed a delicious burger and fries. The atmosphere was extremely laid back lots of casual conversation.

To start with the pros...Bell was our server and was beyond amazing. She provided GREAT service! The fried green tomatos , biscuits and, flatbread were tasty. However, it did take about 30-45 mins to receive our flatbread. Bell did apologize and offered an explanation. Lastly, the.mac and cheese is.. different. Don't expect your average mac. It was our least favorite item ordered

Scratch food is always the best!!! The biscuits are so good that they can't be forgotten. I get them with every meal. Good is excellent and service is good too.

Went here for my husband's 69th bday, his daughter joined us. I had a Ginger/Rye drink, very good. Husband had a beer and daughter had a white wine. We got two appetizers Fries green tomatoes and Greek fries. Both were delicouis. My main course i had the wedge salad, so did his daughter. My husband got the reuban sandwich he said it was good. He brought home leftovers I had a bite of the reuban it was good. We really enjoyed our time there. And ..... our waitress was Mary, very good and polite!! She asked if we needed anything else when we did. I hope Social reads this, Mary is a great waitress. We will be back soon.

Had dinner here Friday night. The meal was fantastic as always. Service was excellent and the cocktail menu is second to none. One of the best whiskey/bourbon selections in the state. Crab nachos are one of my favorite things on the menu.

I tried the roasted beet salad and it was so refreshing and just what I wanted. The drink was the corpse reviver which was very well made. Definitely a very nice relaxing place. Will definitely come back. The bar tenders are so nice and attentive. They have great customer service skills.

Traveling out of town and wanted to treat my cousins for dinner. I made a reservation for 3, we arrived and we're seated right away. The restaurant is very cozy and inviting. It has a slight upscale/fancy vibe to it, and that was evident by the menu choices. Honestly I didn't even look at the menu prior to making a reservation lol. I saw the reviews and was sold... We ordered the honey biscuits, crab nachos, chicken sandwich, salmon, and steak. All were pretty good. My salmon was good but I wasn't too crazy about the hominy corn. It lacked flavor. The biscuits were really good! The crab "nachos" were okay, a bit fishy. Website says the bar closes at 12 on Saturdays but they really close at 10. Service was good. Overall it was a good experience.

I've never had a bad dish here! It is one of my favorite spots in Lafayette for lunch or dinner. Their chicken and biscuits are a must try!! So is the steak and frites. Both are absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend that you finish your lunch or dinner with one of their deserts and coffee

Ok, we are from Bourbon country...Kentucky and Social has a 8 page Bourbon list. WOW. Alcohol list if extensive and there's some rare choices. Menu is a little limited, but what we ordered was all good quality. And the service was excellent. They certainly appreciate their clientele. .

Such a cute spot for happy hour or girls night! Would def come back. My sister and cousin came with and we grabbed drinks and apps. The espresso martini is great!

Everything was delicious! our server was so sweet and wonderful, like a breath of fresh air. My favorite thing was so good and I forgot to take a picture, the chicken Fried Green tomatoes. The jalapeño ranch that it comes with is so good that I could drink it. They were perfectly crispy and we all talked about them for a while after they were gone. Highly recommend

Good ambiance, but the food lacked the flavor I am accustomed to. Chicken had little seasoning, but the biscuit was good I am told. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits were the consistency of mashed potatoes. Disappointed. Service/ waitress was great though!

I loved this place! The atmosphere was wonderful and very nicely decorated. It felt like I should have dressed up more but plenty of people were casual. It was very relaxing and the restroom was clean and even had lady products if needed! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive and gave a wonderful drink recommendation. I can't remember the name, something rose...? We ordered the biscuits and fried green tomatoes as our appetizer. They were so good! The seasoning was spot on and the sauce for the tomato was awesome. The biscuits may have been a tad over cooked on the bottom but we ate every last bite because the flavor was just too good. For my meal I had the salmon and...again ate every last bite. It was delicious! & It was a perfect portion. My dad had the fish of the day which I believe was grouper with eggplant and peanuts. I had to try it of course and honestly I would have struggled to pick which was better. If I lived anywhere near here I'd be back over and over. I might go back one more time before I leave because I just want to try more food. Definitely recommend!!

This was our first experience there, and we were blown away by the excellent service which was exceeded only by the food! It was a five-star experience that I would highly recommend! The atmosphere is very friendly, and the staff are kind, helpful, and professional.

The food, drinks and service were excellent. We ordered the B.E.E., breakfast burger, wontons and chicken and biscuits. The star of the show was the chicken but everything was really good. The drinks were on point as well (blackberry French 75, spicy margarita and mimosa). The service was outstanding, our server Maddie was so friendly, helpful and she really made our visit one to remember. We were a party of 7 and we never felt rushed at all. She even gave the newlyweds a free dessert, which was so sweet and thoughtful! I'll def return when I'm in Lafayette.

The food here is really good I really like the crab nachos. The service is awesome. The restaurant is awesome. The ambience is amazing it feels old Timey, but also modern.

Social Southern Table & Bar has an awesome drink menu. My only complaint is that there is only ONE vegan option on the menu, which is strange since they have several vegetarian options. But their menu is clearly labeled and everyone in our large party enjoyed their food. (Including me - the salad that was vegan-friendly was very well planned!) A great place for large parties/groups as it has a large dining room and friendly staff who are very accomodating.

Early dinner while out with my wife and mother-in-law visiting from Colorado. Did a quick search near us for something that looked good and was different from what she would get in Colorado. This place nailed it! Friendly staff and every dish was truly top notch. We will definitely be back.

Ok, so am just finishing up my meal and here are my brutally (but not hostile intended) remarks. I had a new bar tender in training making a few fancy drinks for me and she was noticeably nervous but so determined to do her job right that it was very endearing. Her drinks were good but it was slightly irritating when she was unable to disentangle herself from drunk/flirtatious/talkative patrons. They served my meal but neglected to offer me any silverware and I had to wait for her to finish up a conversation with a rather talkative patron monopolizing all of her time. I'm sure she'll tackle the skills of diplomacy soon. I had the Fire Roasted Yardbird with a side of Brussels Sprouts. I loved the flavor of everything (the sweet potato with lentils side was really inventive) and the lemon aioli sauce for the yardbird really made the dish. However, ALL of my dishes had the same mushy texture. I wanted crisp skin on the chicken OR grilled brussel sprouts with crispy shells OR some sweet potatoes with a little crispiness. All mushy. The saving grace was a delightful trio of macaroons - which brought the crispness I was looking for. The honey inspired one was the best. This is actually a really nice restaurant, and I hope more people will patronize this place and maybe dress a little better for the quality of food and service that is offered.

The Biscuits! So good. I almost can't remember anything else I ate... Veggie burger was good, my friends loved the fried chicken and friend green tomatoes. Great service both times we ate. Loud because it's a popular joint. It was recommended by the locals I was working with and it did not disappoint.

My family and I were there for a graduation celebration. We loved the ambiance, the service was great and the food was the absolute best! My favorite was the Appalachian Heirloom Grits! Wow! The best grits I have ever had! My compliments to the Chef! Have been thinking about them since I returned to Missouri! YUM YUM YUM YUMMMMMM. To say this meal was top notch is an understatement. The service, food, drinks, and ambience were all great. We started with the Cast Iron Gulf Tuna, which made me do a literal happy dance in my chair. Just thinking about it has me drooling again! The tuna was cooked to perfection and all of the flavors were perfectly complementary. For entrees, I had the Gulf Fish of the Day and my boyfriend got the Fire Roasted Yardbird. My fish was served with sautéed purple cauliflower, turnips, pickled onions, and more. It was fantastic. The fish skin was super crispy and I loved that the dish wasn't heavy and didn't leave me feeling like I would explode. Again, the flavors were amazing. My boyfriend loved his Yardbird. It was nice and juicy, and the sweet potatoes were well seasoned. Overall, this whole meal knocked our socks off! We'll be back again and again and again.

Good drinks, average service, very dissatisfied with the food portion. Ordered steak frites. We're supposed to have gotten an 8 Oz portion of steak. Got maybe 4 Oz of meat and a bunch of crappy French fries for $30. Waitress reacted very poorly to the complaint. Was Already on the fence about not coming back here from similar past negative experiences and this confirmed it. Spent $180 and left hungry, had to go to Fat Pats and get a burger.

I could eat this everyday. This food was so fire!!!!!! Everything was perfectly seasoned, hot and the service was attentive. Took awhile to get my wine but it was busy. Also, they will charge an extra $2.65 if you use a card to pay, which I really wasn't happy about but I won't dock the score for that.

If you're looking for a fun atmosphere and great drink options this is definitely a great spot. The menu consisted of a lot of interesting takes on the traditional southern fare. I ended up with the spicy chicken sandwich which was so generous there was no way you could eat it ladylike. I had to take one of the chicken thighs off and cut it in half. You definitely get your money's worth. My only complaint was the service was a bit slow. It took probably 30 minutes just to order but the food came out really quickly. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in Lafayette.
