Interesting concept, not great execution.
Drinks are $30-$50 each. Mostly to keep it exclusive, but still open(ish) to the public. I get it.
Had the Bee’s Knees. It was very good with high quality ingredients, but nothing groundbreaking for the price. The cocktail menu is a short list of the classics with top shelf components. Nothing out of the box.
The space is VERY small so don’t expect any privacy if there was another party there.
The sliding doors were left open for most of our stay so you could hear all the noise from the busy restaurant next door and see all the hotel lobby foot traffic.
My main issue is the furniture, decor, and general ambiance. This concept comes with a promise of luxury so I expected an impeccable space. It was all faux-nice. You look closely and realize the furniture is kinda cheap. Dents on tables, cheap gold, stickers and label hanging from bottom of a sofa. All seasonal decor felt like it came from Marshall’s. Made the whole thing feel kinda gimmicky.
If there is nothing cutting-edge about the drinks, the ambiance should be flawless down to every little detail.
