We came here for evening tid bits. Got the bun maska, cheeseling bhel and masala chai. Food should not have costed this much here IMO. Felt quite overpriced. Bun maska is a specialty here and an always go to order for me during my last two visits. Never found this place to be crowded or fully occupied so far. This visit as well it was relatively empty. The chai is good , but definitely not the best. Cheeslingbhel was average and the chutneys served along were not so great tasting as well. But during my previous visit the food was really good. Service is average paced as well. the bun maska and chai shouldn’t have taken as much time to be served. Ambience is nostalgic and suits the vibe this place is trying to create. Overall a decent place.

Went with very high hopes but was disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. I found it extremely overpriced. Chicken farcha was pretty basic, baida roti wasn't available which was strange considering it's one of their bestsellers. Drinks are good with a lot of options in "bunta soda". Vada pav and bun maska were also just average. We felt most let down by the Berry Pulao which seemed undercooked. Only skillet prawns were the saving grace. Service is okay and the decor is quite like an Irani cafe. Sadly the food doesn't match up to it.

This is a small one floor pub. When I entered it looked like a small cozy theme based pub. But when we started getting food and the Friday music started... Oh man what an experience... Old songs with faster tempo. I loved it and planning to go again.

SodaBottleOpenerWala in Bangalore offers a delightful twist on Parsi and Bombay-style cuisine, making it a unique dining experience. The quirky decor, inspired by Irani cafés, immediately sets a charming and nostalgic vibe. The food here is a definite highlight! The Chicken Berry Pulao was a star dish – the perfect blend of flavorful rice, juicy chicken, and the sweetness of berries made it a treat for the palate. The Baida Roti was another winner with its crispy outer layer and deliciously spiced filling, offering a perfect balance of textures and flavors. Lastly, the Chilli Cheese Pull Apart bread was pure comfort food – gooey, cheesy, and with just the right amount of spice, it’s a must-try for cheese lovers. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the pleasant dining experience. While the food was amazing, some dishes felt slightly on the pricier side, which is why this isn't a full 5-star review. However, the quality and taste make it worth the visit. If you're looking for a fun and flavorful outing, SodaBottleOpenerWala is a great choice!

Lovely atmosphere, if you love Parsi food as in Mumbai. The Egg Sando was wonderful egg mayo sandwich indian style, Bambai vada pav was a pune vadapav with a large vada staying original to the one we get in Pune, Smoked chicken mini cutlet was a chicken potato filled egg coated cutlet and the wonderful chocolate mouse was mind-blowing. Our server Prayash and the chef Ashish made us feel like home.

A Cozy, Nostalgic Dinner Spot We went as two couples with two kids and had a wonderful dinner here. The atmosphere was cozy, with a vintage vibe that reminded us of the old Parsi/Irani cafes in Mumbai and Pune. Soft 80s and 90s music played in the background, adding to the warm, nostalgic feeling. The food was great! While we tried a few dishes, the Bohri Keema Pav really stood out as a favorite. We also enjoyed the Irani chai with bun maska, Chicken Berry Pulav, and Kanda Bhajiya – all delicious and full of flavor. Overall, it was a lovely evening with tasty food and a relaxed ambiance. We’ll definitely be back!

I would like to call out Chandrakala, She was so professional, yet humble, jolly, welcoming. I wish her all the best for her future. It brings me immense pleasure, as a Parsi myself, to attest to the unquestionable authenticity of the cuisine at this establishment. My confidence in this assessment is absolute, bordering on certainty. Prior to my visit, I encountered some rather disconcerting reviews questioning the quality and authenticity of the Parsi fare. I must confess, I was left wondering if the author of such criticism had ever truly experienced the richness and nuances of genuine Parsi gastronomy. However, my personal experience painted a vastly different picture. Each dish I sampled was simply exquisite. Served piping hot and bursting with perfectly balanced flavors, even the prawns were of a remarkably generous size. While I have the heritage and ability to prepare Parsi dishes in my own kitchen, the demands of a busy modern life, coupled with the convenience of having a home cook, mean that I rarely indulge in this culinary tradition myself anymore. In this context, SodaBottleOpenerWala serves as an absolute haven – a perfect escape where I can savor the authentic tastes of my heritage without the effort. My sincere gratitude for providing such a delightful and truly genuine Parsi culinary experience. Also myself and Aanitha come from the same college - IHMA
