Not a fan of the chicken here. It tasted a bit gamey to me, even the yangnyeom (though the sauce was good). I didn’t enjoy the rice cracker oven chicken either. On the bright side, the fried rice and noodles were tasty, and the combo meals are great for groups (good for 4 people). The space is big and quiet, we went on a Friday night and only saw two other groups. Free parking is a nice bonus. Personally, I think their other location tastes better, but it might be worth trying for yourself.

Google
Service was awesome! They don’t crowd you with questions but if you need something they will go out of their way to get it. Food was good too! The fried gyoza was airy and packed with flavor, fried rice was fluffy and light with just the right amount of umami. My favorite of all though were the gangjung wings, they’re a little sweet, hint of spice and full of crunch.

Got a free side dish for writing a review. They have one person serving the entire restaurant. She looked like she could use a coworker. She did a great job but def felt like they were understaffed. Chicken was good I’d probably come back if I was in the area. Beer came out with a cold glass so that’s a huge win. Some menu items for online order are different from their menu items in the restaurant. Parking was covered parking or street parking. Looked like about 5 reserved garage parking spots for the restaurant but it’s a pretty tight squeeze in there. Restrooms were ok. Urinal was broken but toilet was working Lol.

Good shrimp fried rice and pickled radish. We also got the pork potstickers and the half and half (ie. half bone-in and half boneless) soy garlic fried chicken, which is supposed to be their best seller. Tender chicken inside, crispy on the outside. There was a hint of sweetness though. The 'eating plates' are quite small and wish they were a bit bigger so that you can keep more than one item on the plate. Service was quick.

Google
Brought some friends here to absolutely feast and Sodam really delivered! We tried 4 different flavors of the deep fried chicken and all were delicious. I loved the sticky sauces of the soy garlic and gang-jung flavors. I was also pleasantly surprised by the gold fried chicken which was super crispy and came with a honey mustard sauce that was to die for! When you order, they let you pick boneless, bone-in, or a mix of both which is awesome if you're sharing with friends. We also grabbed some fries and topokki which offered a nice break from overloading on chicken. They have a great drink selection as well so I could see this turning into an awesome spot for fueling up before going to the clubs/bars in the area. The atmosphere was a bit lacking and service seemed unenthused but I think that's because they opened recently so they're still getting into the swing of things. I'm excited to watch this business grow! I think I saw a small parking lot with restaurant-reserved spots attached to the building. Otherwise, it's pretty easy to find a street parking spot within a block or so if you go off the main roads.

Google
Our experience at Sodam Chicken was exceptional. While we may not be experts in authentic Korean fried chicken as Vietnamese diners, we wholeheartedly give this place a 5-star rating. The food exceeded our expectations, reminiscent of the flavors we enjoyed during our trip to Korea. It’s worth noting that the spice level here is authentically Asian, so brace yourself! The service was top-notch, with friendly and welcoming staff making our visit even more enjoyable. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Sodam Chicken to anyone looking for a KFC place!

Hello, I am a delivery driver and the girl in the photo was racist towards me. I asked her properly to take my order and she insulted me by saying things like "wait for me if you don't want to go, don't bother me, I will delete your order". Even though I asked a question calmly, she treated me this way. The incident happened on February 18, 8:30 and they are not calm and very rude.

Google
Not sure, but I think non-Korean people run this place. What is amazing is that they offer better Korean food. The chicken had thin coat of crispy batter sticking to the meat. It did not have any bad chicken smell, so I could tell that they were using fresh chickens. Teobokki was amazing. It was more authentic than what most of other Korean restaurants got. Kimari was so good, so my son took half of it. The only thing I could complain was the coleslaw which was mediocre. Other than that, the service was as expected, and I got my dishes pretty quickly. I will recommend this place to my friends who love Korean food.

Yelp
Ok I'm in Seattle for a convention with my son. Hungry and parking sux around the Airbnb. What's in walking distance. This place was 10 minutes away by foot. Looks good let go!!. Order the half and half chicken with golden fried and original roasted. Garlic fried rice Max got the ramen. The star for me are the roasted chicken so juicy!! 9/10 garlic fried rice 8/10 . But it all was very good. Must try!!

Yelp
I used a Groupon to get some KFC for takeout. We tried the Half and Half KFC $29.99 with Soy Garlic and BBQ Hot chicken. It came with radish pickle on the side. The BBQ Hot Chicken is quite spicy and sticky. The Soy Garlic was more mild, less saucy, and very delicious. The portion was decent, we had some leftover for another meal. Street parking wasn't too difficult. They also have a small parking lot.

Yelp
Delicious chicken! My husband and I made a stop here for some lunch and the food was so good! Street parking was easy to find. Food: + Started our meal with the Tokkochi mochi rice sticks + Half golden fried and half yangnyeom chicken mixed, Personally I enjoyed the boneless more because it was easier to eat and my favorite was the golden fried because it had a really nice crispiness to it. + Also got 2 sides of rice and the chicken came with their pickled radish. Ambiance of this spot is casual and can be seen as a great place to come at night for drinks with friends! Service was friendly and quick. Overall, a great spot!

Yelp
It is hard to find good fried chicken around here, but I finally did here at Sodam Chicken! This place is exactly what I've been looking. Their portions are great, flavors, and the meat on the chicken wings are *chef's kiss* I ordered the soy garlic (half/half) to go and I was not disappointed. The pickup process was relatively quick and my order was nice and hot when I got it. The chicken was perfectly sauced, yet the chicken was still crispy. I would like to dine in next time and enjoy my chicken in house! Until next time.

Yelp
Chicken is fantastic! Service is not. Vibe was ok. Overall really enjoyed the to go food, but the younger asian lady was pretty rude and treated me like I was a nuisance. She clearly was more interested in some guy eating there... So if you're an attractive asian man, you'll get the BEST service, if you're not, good luck. Too bad, because the food was really good. Also, I ordered from what I thought was their website (https://www.sodamchickencp.com) but when I asked for a receipt the same "server" told me they couldn't do it unless I ordered from their "official" site...which is weird, because I thought I did. If there's a fraudulent website out there, they should probably work to get it removed.

Yelp
* you can never go wrong with Korean fried chicken * Pictured are the soy garlic and bbq hot half/half order with kimchi fried rice, chicken yakisoba, and fries. The soy garlic at @sodamgoodchicken is very mild in comparison to the spicy bbq which packs a good amount of spice. Hot enough to make you sip water but just enough to keep eating haha . Sodam does a good job serving the food hot and chicken super crispy which I appreciate. My cousin called their fries "healthy fries" because it did not come out salted. I've eaten here twice and I would come back but it's not always top of mind as a go-to Korean chicken spot though. There is usually no wait during dinner

Yelp
We stopped in on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty. Service was quick and the location is convenient to get to. The inside is very clean and sleek. It definitely felt like more people were doing takeout though, as their kitchen was super busy. Food was delicious! I loved their wings and would definitely try the other sauces the next time I visit Seattle. The prices are pretty fair and you can specify if you want boneless, drums, or wings for your wings. We got a mix of all and we were not disappointed. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants some solid chicken wings with a variety of sauces!

Yelp
A group of us came for dinner on a Wednesday. We each ordered about half order of chicken (for the most part, everyone couldn't finish the half order except maybe one or two people). A friend ordered the starter set for the group. It was fine, but what was really nice was that we got the starter set much sooner than when we got the chicken so we wouldn't get hangry. I ordered the oven bbq hot (boneless only) and it was really good. Really sticky though? Gave a few pieces out for others to try and they agreed it was the better flavor. Had some heat (spiciness) to it.

Yelp
Lunch special is so worth. I prefer Sodam Chicken to a chain like Bonchon. The sauce was sticky and tasty, the fries were light and thin, and the radish cut right through the meal. Also seems great for a big group to chow down on korean fried chicken.

Yelp
Excellent fried chicken in caphill. Street parking, but they do have a few retail parking spots in the building, I believe. Prices are fair, especially for their lunch special, which allow you to choose from different types of chicken and pick 2 sides. They currently have a groupon deal, so I saved a couple dollars purchasing this and paying at the restaurant. Do note that their online ordering system does not allow you to enter the Groupon voucher information. If you plan to dine in, then you can just show them in your groupon voucher at the end of your meal. Ambiance includes plenty of booths and tables. Ceilings are high with good lighting. I will definitely be returning , given the friendly and quick service and food value. There are many Korean fried chicken shops that have been popping up in the area. But this one is worth coming back to.

Yelp
Many people raved about this place and saying it's better than other famous Korean chicken place. I would say it's okay. I like the golden fried chicken ones but the one with the sauce was meh. The sauce was so thick, it wasn't really enjoyable to eat it. Other food are decent It wasn't too busy that day, and the server was really attentive. The place is pretty clean and has a good vibe there. Overall it's not bad, but this place won't be on the top of my list of KFC.

Yelp
Went here on Tuesday afternoon around 1, we were the only ones here. Overall it's nice, very clean vibe. They have dedicated parking near the restaurant. Server was very nice. Everything we had was solid. We tried the gang Yang flavor for the chicken lunch special, it wasn't our fav but not bad. Probably should've just ordered the garlic flavor. Toppoki was good, not too spicy - we added noodles and cheese. And the squid was also good, little spicy. Would come again! Chicken - 6.5/10 Toppoki - 8/10 Squid - 7.5/10

Yelp
Parking: they have couple spots in an apartments covered parking lot which is definitely a plus for Capitol Hill Food: The Hot BBQ chicken was really hot but flavorful. Even for an Indian palette that can handle 5 stars spice this was spicy. It had a cinnamon, and slightly sweet undertone to the flavor. We enjoyed it! The Garlic fried rice was very flavorful and mild on spice. Bulgogi - the beef bulgogi wasn't spicy and was served with sticky rice. We enjoyed the food and the especially the wings. Service: was slow given that they had only one waiter around. I heard it was a newer place and could be 'cos of that. Ambiance: Place has a cute instagrammable spot. The restaurant is clean and modern looking

Yelp
My group wanted to check out Sodam after seeing videos for it on Instagram/TikTok. For a Friday night, I was surprised to see there were few tables filled throughout the time that we stayed, but it is a little bit out of the way compared to other popular restaurants. There were a lot of options for chicken! We decided to get the half & half order of chicken wings with soy garlic and yangnyeom as our sauces. I enjoyed how crispy the wings were and the sauces were very nice. I liked that their soy garlic was not as salty as some other places but still had good flavor. The yangnyeom was my favorite out of the two - the sauce was a good sweet but did not have much spice at all. I love that they gave each person their own bowl of radish instead of giving just one or two bowls to share! For our other dishes we got the starter plate with mandu, french fries, and mozzarella sticks, topoki (interesting they call tteokbokki this), and kimchi fried rice. I did not like that the fries were kind of oily and not crispy. I felt the other dishes we got were pretty standard; nothing really stood out to me as amazing. I felt that the food took a while to come out. They did have a lot of online/delivery orders while we were there, so that may be it? The food came out all at once and piping hot, which some people may enjoy. But sometimes for me I prefer things to come out one by one so I can snack on it. It took a while for our waiter to notice we were done, and I noticed another table had the same issue as well. They also gave me a $5 off coupon for my next meal, so I guess I have to come back.. :)

Yelp
Good seating and atmosphere. Service was nice and friendly. Food was very tasty with good portion. The family combo was a great deal. The only star being taken is because we had to wait quite a long time for our food to be ready.

Yelp
I just had the worst service I've ever seen here, and that's really sad because I'd come to count this place as a really great spot in the neighborhood. I came in and granted, I looked and probably smelled a little rough as I'd just managed to set my instant pot on fire. My apt was too smoky to stay in, so I came in expecting the usual friendly faces and helpful service. No such luck! I waited forever for my order to be taken. I had my son and fiance join me but they got no water glasses, no plates, no utensils. We asked for Sprite and never saw it. We would've stayed longer and ordered more food, but I guess this server tonight doesn't need the tip or hassle of customers. I'll walk a little further next time I need dinner or drinks.

Yelp
Great korean fried chicken! We came with a large party and made a reservation ahead of time. The place was quite busy when we arrived, so definitely make a reservation if you have a large group. There is quite a good number of seats available inside though, and it's nice and spacious. We got the half and half along with the tteokkbokki + seaweed noodle rolls to share amongst 4 people, which was the right amount for us. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and I liked how there wasn't much batter. The soy garlic flavor was delicious, and with the gold you can pick 2 sauces to dip it in. I definitely preferred soy garlic, but both were good. The seaweed glass noodle rolls were super crispy and perfectly cooked, and the tteokkbokki was filled with veggies as well which all were absolutely delicious in the sauce. We also got pickled radish as a side, which I devoured. I loved this spot and would definitely come back for the Korean fried chicken craving!

Yelp
Sodam chicken is consistently one of my favorite Korean fried chicken places in Seattle. This part of Capitol Hill is quite residential so there is street parking and a couple dedicated spots in their garage. Usually come here for the lunch special which is $12 and you get six pieces of fried chicken and two sides. It's definitely one of the best deals I've seen around. I love the deep fried chicken wing options - there are so many sauces to pick from but the gangjung is my favorite. The oven baked ones are not bad as well. The food typically takes about 20 minutes to come out, but it is all made to order and very fresh. The place is fairly busy, especially in the evenings, but I've always been able to find a table.

Yelp
A nice new place for Korean fried chicken, a bit out of the way in Cap Hill but worth it! My friend and I got the half & half yangnyeom and the gold fried chicken with honey mustard and hot bbq sauce. - Everything came out fresh and piping hot! The meat could have been slightly juicier and the pieces were on the smaller side, but they were delicious and very well fried. - The hot bbq was super spicy with a kick! It was milder when combined with the chicken. - The radish was ok. I would've wanted it to be sweeter and pickled for longer - You can't go wrong with red bean mochi ice cream - it was delicious! The service was wonderful. They checked up on us multiple times and kept an eye on us to make sure we were always doing well. They also gave us a 10% off your next visit card, signed by the manager! It was so nice to find a place with ample seating and a relaxed ambiance on a Friday night. At the end of the meal we both agreed that we liked Pelicana better, but Sodam was very good.

Yelp
Generous servings of fried Korean chicken. Perfectly fried w dipping sauces. Everything was delish. Would def recommend and go back. Good service. Got a groupon deal to try and wish I could buy again. Unfortunately 1x only.

Yelp
We were in the area and were craving chicken wings with rice so we decided to give this place a try. It was around 8pm when we came in and there were only a few people in. We got to he Half&Half order of chicken wings: Soy Garlic and Yangnyeom. The Yangnyeom flavor was not bad, a little too sweet and too thick for my taste. I love the Soy Garlic sauce, though I wish there's a bit more sauce on the chicken. Overall, this is a good spot if you're looking for Korean chicken wings. Service is pretty good and quick.

Yelp
Way better than I expected! I did kind of go in with no expectations, but the fried chicken was great. We got one of the combo sets and split it among 5. I ended up paying around $23 for myself, which is quite the deal considering the combo came with two full-sized chicken wing meals, one yakisoba, one fried rice, 5 mandu, 5 spring rolls, and a 2 liter soda, so I would definitely recommend getting their combo set if you can. Most of the non-chicken dishes were alright: not outstanding but tasted ok. Everything came out fresh and hot which was really nice. The fried chicken was great: juicy, tender, and flavorful. My favorite was the gang-jang chicken as it was both sweet and savory. The sauce was quite addicting. The yangnyeom chicken I didn't like as much. It had a slightly weird aftertaste I couldn't quite figure out (almost cinnamony?), but it was still nice. We were one of the only ones dining in the restaurant so service was fast and the food came hot. All in all, would definitely come back for the chicken, especially to try the other flavors.

Yelp
This place is spacious, has parking spots designated for the restaurant and cheap drinks. I like this place a lot because of the variety of food they have and competitively priced drinks. The variety of dishes here gives such a great table to share with friends. This place had great portions and prices everything really well. I would say the kimchi friend rice and rice cakes were cooked well and what I expected! The chicken with the wet sauces can get a little too wet losing some crisp. With the plain chicken, it comes with 2 sauces! The breading and chicken on the plain chicken were crispy and well seasoned, I would definitely come here for food AND drinks. They have soju and beer; that is priced really fairly. Would come back if I had a bigger group!

Yelp
Okay for starters, I'm not a huge Korean fried chicken fan because I've been scarred from some dry chicken in the past. But this place is actually pretty good!! Gold fried chicken- 5/5, crispy, light, tender, juicy!! My bf wanted to get this and I was like why would you want to order the plain one... but this was definitely my favorite! I didn't really care for the honey mustard or hot bbq sauce Yang nyeom fried chicken- 5/5 this was great too, still crispy even with all the sauce on it Spicy pork bulgolgi- 3/5 this was alright, didn't really hit the spot but that's okay because the fried chicken more than made up for it Surprisingly this place was pretty empty when I went at 8 pm on a Friday night (they have a lot of Togo orders) but at least that meant I didn't have to wait for good food :)

Yelp
First time trying this place. Super friendly and quick service. Flavors were good. I had the soy garlic and BBQ hot "party wings" (bone-in wings). I had plenty sides at home. I stopped in late afternoon, so only a few other customers. Only took 10 minutes to prepare my takeout order. I must say, I am not used to Seattle prices (and taxes). A "half and half "order came to about $41 with 20% tip. But I can get at least 3 meals out of this one order. I think their menu says 20-24 pieces in a full order. These days if I ordered 3 meals worth of food from McDs or BK....it would probably cost the same or more, sadly. And as much as I like the other KFC we all know and love (Poulet Frit Kentucky) as they say in some parts of Canada), I'm always shocked at what they charge. So, no regrets dropping some coin here. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu next time I"m in the neighborhood. NOTE: if you are lactose intolerant, they use milk in the batter for the chicken. Plan accordingly. I actually emailed the contact on their Facebook page and they replied the SAME day to confirm this. Kudos to them for answering their email. Also...if you want to use their limited garage parking (only a half dozen or so spots) it will be on your right-hand side if you are headed southbound on 19th, just before one of entrances to the restaurant itself. And getting in, is easier than getting out. Be prepared to to a 3-point turn to get pointed out the way you came in. And lastly....if you are bummed they don't use chicken breast here, breasts generally have less flavor and is easier to dry out when cooking. Most commercially available white meat has artificial tenderizers and stuff to make it more juicy. Dark meat is actually more nutrient rich. And the flavor is better also. Many cultures outside the US prefer dark meat and wouldn't dream of using breasts. There is an argument that white meat is healthier. Kinda sorta. Not really. Slightly more protein and less fat. But fried chicken is fried chicken, right? YOLO. Get the good stuff.

Yelp
What we ordered: Pink Strawberry Lemonade, Tokkochi, Mozzarella Sticks, Half & Half: Gold Fried Chicken + Soy Garlic, Half Order of Beef Short Ribs, Kimchi Fried Rice, & Strawberry Soju. ⁣ It's spacious, they had delicious small bites, variety of korean fried chicken flavors to choose from, oven roasted/stir fried and fried rice options. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and they were so friendly! Whatever you do, don't skip out on the honey mustard sauce! That was so delicious paired with the gold fried chicken that was my favorite combo of the night. Definitely a great spot to hangout and dine with friends and family. They also have a few parking spaces in the garage as well! ⁣

Yelp
KFC = Korean Fried Chicken. Sodam Chicken had opened this year, on the other side of Cap-Hill. A way from the busier areas. Making it ideal for those craving some chickeny goodness to be more accessible. The Chicken: You can order either a half order ($16.99) or a full order ($29.99). A half order will get you any where between 10-16 pieces while a full order is between 20-24 pieces. You also get your choice of boneless, bone in or mix which is wonderful for everyone or for those people who can't decide which is better. Sodam also offers oven cooked chicken if you're looking for a healthier option, at the same price as its deep fried counterpart. Still can't decide? Get the half & half, best of both worlds! It will just cost you $30.99. Like most KFC places they have a good variety of chicken with a variety of sauces or powders. But they also serving some comforts like Topoki, Korean Ramen, and Kimchi-Jjigae. If you got some pickier eaters, they also have Bulgogi (beef/pork/spicy pork) as well as fried rice. They even have salads so you can say you've had your veggies for this meal. One of the few things that Sodam has going for them is the fact that they have combo sets. From lunch combo sets including 5 piece chicken or pork bulgogi with 2 sides for $11.99 or a short-rib or beef bulgogi with two sides for $14.99. Pretty reasonable for a solo lunch. If your having a family/friend gathering or you just want to order once and eat it for the rest of the week, they have Family Combo Sets ranging from $84.99- $89.99. Giving you a variety of items from the menu to try out. They're also offering a few of the items for catering, prices depend on what you're looking for. Overall Sodam on Cap-Hill is great for groups and I'm sure you'll find something for everyone. Enjoy the crunchy chicken and the soju/beer!

Yelp
Sodam Chicken is definitely a worthwhile stop. We stopped by during their 1st anniversary promo and dined-in, and although they were very busy, the service was still good and the chicken was delicious. I've also gone once before for take-out, and the wait was definitely shorter then, when they weren't as busy. If it's your first time dining here, there are promotional discounts available on receipts at the Safeway on Madison or through following them on Instagram (though I'd follow ahead of time if you're planning on going, so you have time to get the DM!) There are also at least three dedicated parking spots in the covered lot attached to the building along 19th Ave, but they're a little narrow and it's a bit of a hassle getting in or out. That being said, there's also street parking and the chicken is absolutely worth parallel parking and a little bit of a walk. Back to the food, the Yangnyeom Chicken satisfied the chicken craving I've had since watching k-dramas. We got a mix of boneless and bone-in, which I think is an amazing offering (though you could get it all bone-in or all boneless too). The Yangnyeom sauce is classic, with mild spice, just as indicated on the menu. The Gangjung Chicken was sweet, with a stickier sauce. It was good; but my partner doesn't have as much of a sweet tooth as I do and I think we both preferred the Yangnyeom. And the tteokkotchi - skewered fried rice cakes - have my heart. I always order these at places that offer them. They're chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The ones here were available in a sweet or spicy sauce but the waitress cautioned me that the spicy is VERY spicy, so we went with sweet and it was delicious. You get two skewers in an order and I believe they come with 6 tteok each. We'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This place is a very solid place for Korean fried chicken, I would recommend coming with a group of 4-6 and getting the combo deal with the liter soda bottle and appetizer which I think is worth the price and amount of food you get. There are a lot of options for chicken. The inside is pretty spacious which I like. The service was normal. Also, parking can be difficult on Capitol Hill. Lastly, I would recommend getting a chicken with sauce and regular gold friend chicken with dipping sauce on the side; I had made the mistake of getting 2 sauce wings and it was hard to keep eating.

Yelp
We went on a Tuesday around 6 and got seated promptly. The service was great, food was delicious, and it was the perfect end to a long and tedious weekday. Highly recommend stopping by, and even going out of the way for a visit.

Yelp
Came again for second visit last week, and left satisfied just like the first time! We got half and half again. Yangyeom and also soy garlic, which is a flavor we haven't tried before. Although the soy garlic flavor is good, if you prefer a more sauce-y chicken, this flavor is probably not for you. The meat was juicy and delicious. We were one of the only ones there on a Saturday early evening. Food came out fast. Looks like they were getting a lot of online orders. We had no trouble getting the 20% coupon that was given to us by the manager at our first visit. We will be back again! :)

This place was soo good! Came here on a Saturday night and there was no wait. There were two other table occupying the restaurant which was surprising that the restaurant wasn't more packed considering how GOOD THE FOOD WAS HERE! My cousin and I ordered the Kimchi fried rice and the half and half Korean fried chicken. We ordered the Gold Fried Chicken and Yang Nyeom Chicken. The kimchi fried rice was perfect! So delicious and had just the right amount of kimchi! The Gold Fried Chicken was perfectly fried and had great flavor and so did the Yang Nyeom Chicken. And the service here was great! We asked for the wifi since we were visiting from out of town and they gave it to us! The lighting and ambiance was calm and just made all the food feel like home comfort food.

Yelp
Very friendly and efficient staff, but the food was only okay. I wish the chicken had better flavor, as the sauce covering was too light in my opinion.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Friday late night, and it was pretty dead. All of their fried chicken are wings - which is a good deal considering most places up-charge for these particular sections. They had sets that made it easy to order for larger groups. Their fried rice was VERY good, a pleasant surprise coming from a fried chicken place. I wish their sauce was a bit spicier, and that their food was a bit hotter too. That day when we went, food was lukewarm at most. Server was not attentive at all, as we wanted to order more food and she came back around 10 minutes after. Not enough cups for the table, etc. Had to go up to pay for the bill. I get it, it was Friday night and people want to be off.

Yelp
The food was great but unfortunately there was a fly infestation inside that was absolutely repulsive. Tiny little flies crawling on us and our food. I will never come back. Please put out fly traps and increase cleanliness to resolve this issue!

Yelp
We made a reservation for 7 people for 9:15PM on a Saturday. On the phone, they were super welcoming even though we were going to come at a late time and they closed at 10PM. Upon a little early arrival, they already had our table prepared. Our server, Darlyn, was super nice and patient with us as we had many people and it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. They were also flexible - we ordered the family combo #2 (usually for 4-6 people) and none of us wanted to have the Coke, so they were OK with substituting the Coke with other drinks that we ordered. The half & half chicken was delicious! The gold fried chicken was crispy and perfect for my friends who enjoyed the original and crispy flavor; the soy garlic chicken had good moisture for me and my friends who liked the moist taste. We were satisfied and full before the last call at 9:40PM. Each of us appreciated their service very much. The restaurant was spacious and clean. Parking in Cap Hill was always a challenge but there was street parking available around the restaurant.

Yelp
Super clean, new, and spacious. Really happy to see another Korean fried chicken joint in cap hill that serves up a wide variety of drinks and food. The atmosphere is definitely more casual and well-lit than Pelicana, so it's a nice vibe for a laid back weeknight dinner. Service was also fast and staff were very friendly! The food was excellent -- chicken was extra juicy and crispy. The tteokkbokki was perfectly flavored and even slightly crispy on the edges. I'd skip the ramen and try something else next time. We've already gone twice and are excited to go back. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The portions were big as well as the chicken was crispy, sticky, and delicious! I truly loved this place and honestly I think their chicken was much better than pelicana or chicken factory. I thought the sauces on both chicken flavors were got were much more complex as well. The space was clean and our food came out super fresh! All this food fed three people and we had a ton of leftovers too. Come check out this new Korean fried chicken place in cap hill!!

Yelp
I came here craving for kbbq wings and this place did not disappoint I live in Puyallup and I would drive up here just to eat this. First we were greeted by who I thought was a server but so happens to be one of the nicest, probably the nicest owner, I have ever met at a restaurant. His name was Sang. He knew we were new to the place and offered us Tokkochi on the house. He kept checking up on us but at the same time, gave us time to eat and socialize, he even apologized for checking up on us too much. We had a party of 4 (2 couples and a baby) we both ordered the half and half, when Sang brought the food over, he noticed that we both got 2 half and half's (instead of getting 2 full orders of chicken), and changed the ticket price to make it so we saved $2. The food was bomb!!! And service made it so much better. The Soy Garlic chicken was my favorite. Everything was cooked to perfection. Wings were juicy and had a lot of flavors. The server was also able to accommodate my sister ordering noodles with her jigae, even though she mentioned that they have never done that. if I can give this restaurant 6 stars, I would! Sang made sure he would see our face and offered us a 15% discount on our next visit. One-of-a-kind owner.

Yelp
The chicken was so good. Ordered half & half togo. Original gold fried and yangyeom. Krispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Very generous servings. We enjoyed it. Wish they were in Los Angeles.

Yelp
My favorite korean fried chicken in Seattle! The chicken was crispy, but still tender in the inside and not too dry. Would definitely recommend to get the shrimp chicken which includes fried shrimp and chicken in sweet and spicy bbq sauce! We got half and half of the gold chicken and shrimp chicken to go and it was still crispy after 20 min.

Yelp
I consider myself a Korean fried chicken purist in that I only tend to like eating the original fried chicken recipe with no extra sauce on top. That being said, ever since Sodam Chicken opened next to my apartment building it's the only place I've been getting my fried chicken from. Their gold fried chicken is the gold standard, in my opinion, especially when you dine in because it comes out piping out - the crispy golden coating with a sprinkle of herb on top, revealing in a shattering bite the ultra-moist interior. When dipped in a little honey mustard, it's what I think of any time I want fried chicken. On top of that, Sodam Chicken offers some unique value-added sides including mandu and eggrolls, which I hadn't seen other places offer before. But if you do go for the usual fries, know too that these fries are excellent - thin, long, and soft shoestrings that slide into ketchup and straight into your mouth so satisfyingly! Besides the food and clean, friendly ambiance of the interior, the business owner Sang is just a stand-up guy. I got a chance to meet him during the soft opening and he looks like someone who takes customer service very seriously. Nowadays I think he mostly operates back of house, but I just know he's there keeping tabs on everyone's needs behind the scenes. On top of that he's got some very courteous and efficient front of house hires working lunch hour, so it's an easy choice to swing by for takeout any time I need a quick bite. I wish this place nothing but the best. They know what they're doing and they're doing it by the gold standard. Come give them a try!

Yelp
Went with two friends on a Thursday around 1PM. Very empty around that time. Shared all our food and enjoyed every bite! Ordered the half plate of yangnyeom chicken, mozzarella sticks, topokki, and kimchi-jjigae. We were graciously given some spicy tokkiochi and gangjung chicken as well. Between the three of us, even with the extra food, we nearly finished everything. Our server was an incredibly kind and sweet man, offering us the extra food, striking up conversation with my friend, and even gifting us some Sodam branded pens as we left. It was definitely some of the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had, and will definitely be coming back sometime. Biggest note was the tokkiochi was a lot spicier than me and my friend expected, so we weren't able to finish our sticks. Thankfully our friend was able to handle the space and finished it for us.

Yelp
I wish the chicken was a legit half chicken :/ they were just small little wings and legs. The taste was good, and little crispy. The tteoboki was just okay. The service was kind of slow and confusing, not sure if I had to order first or sit down. Might not be back. :/

Yelp
This is a phenomenal place. We always purchase the golden fried and it is a family hit even without dipping sauces. The service is excellent if you dine and and they are especially friendly to children. The Fried rice and tofu soup were phenomenal in addition. Its quite a convenient location too when you realize there is parking around the side.

Yelp

Yelp
Really good lowkey korean fried chicken spot - wasn't busy when we came on a wednesday for dinner. Would recommend the gold chicken and the soy garlic! For the sauces with the gold chicken I liked the hot bbq and yangnyeom, which is a little sweet with a hint of cinnamon, it was different but it works. I'm glad we got those with the gold chicken instead of individual orders of the sauced chicken which would have been overpowering I think. Kimchi jjigae paired well with the fried chicken!

Yelp
This will be my new go to spot for KFC.. the service was meh but also sitting for a minute to wait for a drink wasn't a problem. Then the wings came and I was in heaven. Got the yang-nyeom and the gangjung chicken and can't wait to come back and try the other flavors

Yelp
Chicken was really good, fell off the bone. Chicken was nice and moist, tasted so fresh that they might have had a chicken farm in the back. Service was nice and they played jazz music.
