"Now with a second location in Capitol Hill, Sodam Chicken (a fried chicken chain in Korea) is a standout among the many, many Korean fried chicken spots that have recently opened in Seattle. The batter is crispy, the chicken is well-flavored, and the bright kimchi is the perfect side to cut the grease. If you’re looking for something besides fried chicken, the kalbi is also well-executed. You can get the chicken without sauce, with a soy-garlic sauce, with sweet sauce, and gochujang sauce (yangnyeom)." - Jay Friedman, Eater Staff

Great overall experience! We visited during the anniversary celebration and enjoyed some excellent chicken deals. Everything was on par with the Capitol Hill location but less crowded. The freshly fried chicken was super crunchy and not overly soggy with sauce. The staff was friendly, and the clean restrooms were a bonus. Give this place a try!😃

There are so many korean fried chicken restaurant around, but I think their stable quality earned the heart of food lover. This is their second branch in WA. Their menu offers more snack and salad choices other then fried chicken. Ever since my first visit, I keep coming back for our favourite dishes. First time we only tried bone-in wings, cause that are usually more juicy. We tried boneless part of chicken on the next visit and they are still tender. They provided creative and good portion of salad. The spicy squid they served are generous with sweet n spicy sauce. You shouldn't missed our favourite garlic fried rice, we keep ordering that every time.

Their soy garlic is one of my favorite wings in seattle. I tried them at their grand opening and again recently for their anniversary. They have great, friendly service. I do feel like the wings are much less crispy than the first time I tried it though, not sure what changed. They weren't soggy like they'd been sitting for a while, just not as crunchy. Flavor-wise though, is 1000% on point. It's addictive. I would normally not come up unless they had a deal going on, because it's way too far of a drive for me (took almost an hr to get there and an hour back, before traffic hit) - and it's kind of expensive IMO. I believe it's normally $30+ for a full order of wings. Their promo prices are the only thing that makes it reasonable enough to convince me to go out of my way for it, although Korean food is always pricier than some other cuisines so it's again kind of understandable.

Google
Perfect! I can't find anything negative about my experience. The garlic chicken, and mustard chicken were sooo good. curry fried rice as well. Try the honey mustard sauce. I'm definitely coming back to try more options. Finally a good friend Chicken around this area.

Google
The prices they have for the quality of food isn’t ok They use very low quality chicken. It’s overcooked and stringy I had boneless and I thought there was a bone in it because it was so hard to take a bite. I got the garlic chicken fried rice and it just tasted like pepper garlic. It wasn’t Flavorful It was very plain. The seasoning and sauces on the chicken were amazing but you couldn’t even eat the chicken inside.

Google
Chicken that’s So dam good! Tried the soy garlic wings this time, were really good. Last time I had the hot bbq which was really good but I think I’m too old to handle the spice/heat! I wish there was a hot bbq option a bit less spicy. Options go zero to 100 real quick 🔥 😂 Super hospitable and respectful hosts. Definitely recommend!

Google
Accidentally found this place when waiting for traffic to improve. Great variety of Korean chicken, short rib, and rice dished. Very relaxed atmosphere with friendly service.

Google
They have delicious Korean fried chicken. The bbq spicy had a great kick and the soy garlic was another great option. The stir fried spicy squid was delicious. I love the rice cakes and cheese in the Topoki

Yelp
We had a group of 5 for my aunt's birthday on a Monday evening. It was semi-busy, but there was plenty of space between us and other tables which we appreciate. Service was great!!! Food was excellent!!! We ordered a family dinner option for a very reasonable price. It included plenty of food and it was soo soo good! My 76 year old aunt had never tried Korean Fried Chicken before. She LOVED everything!! We had all been to the restaurant at least 5 dozen times as we live nearby and it is one of the few great places to get a bite after 9pm!!! Love the taro milk tea with lychee jelly pieces. It is suprisingly delicious & quenches thirst cravings! They offered to go boxes for the remaining portion of food which my daughter took to her husband (he was supposed to be there but had a last minute call). We all brought home a little something to nibble on the next day for lunch. Overall i have to say this place has some of the nicest people working there, the best food, and excellent prices for the family dinners!!! We will definitely be back and in fact i might order my lunch from there and drive from Lynnwood - it's that good!!

Lily M.

Yelp
Strawberry milk tea was splendid. Customer service is very prompt and helpful. Got to sample the sauces to see which to order and worker helped me figure out what some items were. Kimchi fried rice 8/10 really nice just not much spice, great portion though! Enough for two-three people with leftovers. First and definitely not last time trying Tokkochi. Loved the cushioned seating and environment they created.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to stop by and enjoy Korean fried chicken. Signature dishes: Garlic soy chicken Chicken yakisoba Kimchi fried rice Great service and ambiance.

Yelp
I've tried some of their chicken before when someone brought it over to a potluck, so I've been wanting to try more. My bf and I came here when we were hanging out in the area, and I was excited to finally really try the place. And everything we ordered was delicious. We got French Fries, Kimchi Fried Rice, Shrimp Yakisoba, and Half and Half order with the Shrimp Chicken and Gangjung Chicken. Everything was so flavorful, even the fried rice and yakisoba. The chicken was full of flavor, crispy, and moist. And I've never been to a place that offers fried shrimp with it. Service was excellent and staff was friendly. Although we did have an issue with a gift card we had; they couldn't figure out how to redeem it. So, unfortunately, I didn't get to use the gift card, but the staff tried their and made an effort to reach out to the gift card company.

Yelp
Used a Groupon. It was like fast food. Great service, very friendly staff. Got takeout, but the seating inside was very comfortable, a tv played Asian teenagers dancing & singing. Probably won't go again, but I did enjoy trying something different.

Yelp
In the mood for Korean fried chicken, so I decided to give this place a try. Service is fast, too fast, she's kinda inpatient. The restaurant is clean. Not too much noise. There's severel other people were there when I got there. Plenty of Parking is in the back. Restroom is clean as well. I ordered their lunch combo which is 5pc fried chk any style sauce either bone in or boneless with 2 side anything from rice, french fries, coleslaw, 2 eggs rolls or korean potstickers for $11.99, which I think it's a pretty good deal. I ordered bone in fried chk wings Gold fried chk original and Yangnyeom more sweet. I like the original better, it's crispy. When you put the sauce, it's not that crispy anymore. Their utensils are stored inside the drawer on the side of the table. There's also a bin for the bones and trash. Also I tried the Taiwan Lechee beer. It tastes like regular lychee drink. Btw, they also sell boba, but there's no menu. Overall is good if you are craving for Korean fried chk.

Jasmine N.

Yelp
good service and super crispy and tender korean fried chicken! i wish i asked for extra sauce but it was still very good! i also got the strawberry lemonade and it's free refills with actual bits of strawberry! i love that each table has a drawer filled with wet wipes, napkins, chopsticks, forks and spoons! each table even has its own trash can for the bones! restaurant is very clean and spacious with plenty of seating!

Yelp
I had a great first experience here, especially enjoyed their soy garlic and gold fried chicken wings. The variety of options they offer is fantastic. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their dishes.

Yelp
If anyone is craving some Korean fried chicken, this is a pretty decent place to stop by. Just make sure you budget extra time as the service / wait for food and such will take a long time. Came here with a small group of friends and overall, it was an ok experience. Some notes below: The Good - Size of chicken wings / drumsticks is pretty nice and meaty - Original Flavor + Soy Garlic was the favorite for my group. Both had a nice crunch and the soy garlic wasn't too salty. - Parking Lot: Safe lot to park your car next to the restaurant - Prices: Pretty reasonable and you can do the half to full options on the wings order The Eh - Service ~ Realllllly slow, even on a weeknight with the restaurant being half full. After numerous attempts at getting the staff's attention, my friends and I decided the best way to get service was to walk up to the register. There was barely any check in between my group and the staff for the meal and overall, it kind of dampen our appetite a bit. - The spicy flavor chicken ~ Overall, the taste was ok. Wasn't as spicy as we anticipated and after a couple of pieces, the flavor got real old quick and not as appealing. - No radish sides ... usually at Korean chicken places, you get a small radish or similar sort as a side that serves as a nice palate cleanser. Sodam did not offer this, so do keep your expectations low. Overall... I would come back here if it's the only open Korean chicken spot around in Shoreline.

Brian C.

Yelp
If you're looking for some Korean fried chicken in Shoreline, Washington, check out Sodam! They have all of your classic Korean fried chicken drums, wings, and even boneless (although I don't understand why anybody would get this). If you're feeling adventurous, they even have shrimp on the menu! And of course vegetarian options. My friends and I split the combo set A, which was more than enough food for 4 adults. And we eat a lot! -강정치킨 / Gangjeong mix of wings and boneless -간장치킨 / Soy garlic mix of wings and boneless -만두 / Mandu or dumplings -김치볶음밥 / Kimchi fried rice -Egg roll -焼きそば / Chicken yakisoba -치킨무 / Pickled radish The soy garlic wings definitely had a strong kick of garlic, more so than I was expecting but didn't overpower the soy sauce. The wings weren't over battered and held up fairly well. Skip on the boneless pieces, they're pretty dry as most of them are white meat. No idea why my friends wanted boneless pieces...Anyways the kimchi fried rice wasn't bad overall but the rice was a little too moist and it could have used more kimchi flavor. The yakisoba flavor was very good, although the noodles felt like they were over cooked. The mandu and egg rolls were solid! Overall, this is a fun, reasonably priced spot to satisfy your Korean fried chicken cravings and enjoy some other classic Korean and Asian dishes as well! Follow my Instagram and TikTok @thephotographerfoodie for more eats! :)

Yelp
Very good wings! The service is quick and the ambiance is that of a standard fried chicken restaurant. Come through for some nice wings!!!

Yelp
Another first in my illustrious Yelp career! I had Topokki for the first time at Sodam Chicken and it took me to my limit! The server was correct, and exceedingly polite by the way, that the Topokki spice level is about three. When I got down to the broth I wanted to keep going cause it was so delicious. Alas, I left a little on the plate. But very clean interior, definitely give them a shot!

Sheart F.

Yelp
I tried fried chicken, other traditional Korean dishes, and side dishes for a dinner date. Half-sized options were reasonable. Service staff were friendly. Parking can be little bit tricky. Location can be easily missed :(

Tiffany O.

Yelp
I've been here twice now for different deals they've had, and both experiences were decent. Even without the promotions, the prices are fair for wings, especially the boneless ones that are huge compared to anywhere else I've seen them. We dined in the first time, and they have a lot of space inside. The tables are interesting because they have drawers in them where wipes, napkins, etc. are kept. When you get take out and choose a saucy type of chicken, they make sure to line the boxes with foil inside, which is very considerate to prevent any mess and save the sauce. I like that we can get half and half of different types of wings, so we got a half and half of the original roast and rice cracker gang jung (both boneless). Each half came with at least 10 wings. For their anniversary half box deal, I tried both the soy garlic and gold fried chicken. The soy garlic is now my favorite of all the ones I've tried, since it has the most and tastiest flavor. The chicken also comes with coleslaw and pickled radish, which pair nicely with the chicken for something more refreshing. Something I noticed is that it looks like we get less sauce than we used to, so I ran out quickly with the gold fried chicken, since I'm someone who likes using a lot of sauce. If you're also like that, you might want to use the 2 free sauces sparingly or order more if needed.

Huong L.

Yelp
If I based them off of the special deal they were having, it be 5 stars because the promo was a really really good deal However basing off if I were to come normal time with normal pricing: We got our orders in online around 10:40 am and food was ready by 11:10, so not bad at all. We got the half box of the golden chicken and half box of soy garlic. We also got mixed and match so bone in and boneless wings. There was roughly 10-12 pieces of wings in each box. It also come with sauces and a side of Cole slaw and pickled radish for each order. I like the soy garlic a lot because even though it was sauced, it stayed crispy and the flavor was good. The original definitely need some sauce as it wasn't flavorful. But still crispy. Service was pretty good, despite it being busy, they were on top of things and they were nice. Definitely would be back when we are in the area

Jayelle ..

Yelp
There's a few things to note about this place, ordering online is a different price than if you were to order on door dash. (Ex: Online order for half/half is $30, door dash is $39.99). Also, it will be nice if they also included in details of the things that comes with the dishes so I didn't have to order it as a side. I ordered some mixed gangjung wings, stir fried squid and a side of rice. My mixed wings had about 4 grilled chicken pieces tossed in the sauce which was disappointing because I ordered the fried one. Seems like they just threw in a couple of pieces to make the box full of the mixed wings. If I had known, I would have preferred all wings. They could have also called to confirm as well instead of just throwing in some grilled pieces on there. I also wouldn't have ordered a side of rice if I knew rice was already included. Not to mention I had ordered two dipping sauces on the side and didn't get those as well. My chicken was suppose to be the sweet & spicy flavored one but it was all sweet. Overall the food was decent but they messed up on a lot and it goes to show that some restaurants just doesn't care about take-out customers. Which reminds me why I shouldn't tip for take outs again.

Sharon F.

Yelp
Solid place for good korean fried chicken. The service is great, they have large indoor seating, and the portion size is big! The BBQ Hot Chicken was really unique flavor, but a little too spicy. The Soy Garlic didn't exactly taste like other soy garlic wings we've had, but were still enjoyable. Fried rice is a solid choice. Overall the chicken isn't the crispiest, and the flavors are okay. So a good choice for the area, but not the best korean fried chicken ever.

Victoria V.

Yelp
Chicken pieces were small so because of this it felt more expensive than it should have been. I would compare it to an appetizer size rather than a main entree size. The order was supposed to come with pickled radish but we never got ours. The flavors overall was good. The seating area is spacious. Bathrooms need a code. Parking is behind the building.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
The chicken is delicious! In-bone and boneless are both tasty. Staff is friendly and attentive. Space is open and clean, not too crowded or loud. I would not recommend the other non-chicken dishes (kimchi fried rice, stews etc). The side tokkochi was tasty; I got the soy sauce.

Margot C.

Yelp
We came here the other night for dinner after some friends had recommended the place. If you're doing dine in, they tell you to take a seat and give you a menu. The two girls working here were super busy the entire time we were there (tons of take out orders) but service was friendly and pretty quick. We ordered the half and half for chicken with half garlic soy and the other half a spicy sweet sauce (yangnyeom). We also got the garlic chicken fried rice, radish, and egg rolls. The portions were massive and we ended up having a bunch of leftovers. The egg rolls were good but nothing unique. They gave us 3 even though we only ordered 2, which was nice. The garlic chicken fried rice was really tasty and had the perfect amount of garlic and seasoning in it. It was also packed with chicken. I definitely recommend this. The chicken was really good and we enjoyed both flavors. We got boneless (you can get bone in, boneless, or a combo) and each half order came with a bunch of large pieces of chicken. The garlic soy had a drier sauce to it but tons of flavor. The yangnyeom was covered in a sticky sweet sauce which grew on you the more you ate. We want to try the spicy bbq one next time because that one looked delicious. The radish was a nice palette cleaner between bites. We will definitely be back.

Laura V.

Yelp
Came here today for the lunch special for 11.99. Heard it was a good deal and was hungry for fried chicken. The lunch special I had, was five pieces of chicken. I got bone in. These consisted of a mix of wings and legs. I ordered the soy garlic sauced ones. The pieces were good, coming with a nice brown coating and slightly crispy skin. I would have liked meaty pieces of chicken, these piece were rather small and were mostly sauced chicken skin. They also were slightly overcooked, so the meat was rather dry. The soy garlic sauce was nice, just wanted more to counter act the dryness of the meat. The Mandu and eggroll as sides were well made and had a good ratio of filling to crust. They were fried and arrived hot. There just wasn't enough food to fill me up for lunch. I probably got 1/4 of a cup of chicken meat out of my entire lunch. Yes, it was only 13.00 with tax. And if I go again, I will order more chicken. Came home and had to make a second lunch to satisfy the half empty tummy.

Eddy K.

Yelp
I liked their interior. spacious enough. The food was okay. Their korean sweet and spicy sauce has some herb scent I didn't like.

Kris J.

Yelp
Freaking delicious off the hook good. Every piece of boneless is a handmade sticky-sweet piece of art and perfectly cooked. They obviously brine their chicken which maximizes juiciness and tenderness then perfectly season and cook it to order. It was so good, I ordered more for take out. I'll be a regular here making my way through the menu. The lunch special is a great value.

Helene B.

Yelp
Went out for dinner with some friends and we ordered a BUNCH of wings and some topoki! The restaurant also just gave us some egg rolls for free, which was awesome! Everything we had was yummy but I highly recommend the soy garlic wings and to try some topoki if you're in the mood! Just to warn you, the Hot BBQ is really, really spicy so be sure to ask for radish and have your water ready! Service was quick but we ate late & it was pretty icy in Seattle that day so folks may have been staying in. ‍ Regardless, I'll be taking friends there when given the chance!

Generous Y.

Yelp
I'm heavily swayed by promotions and when I saw 20% off for their grand opening (despite being a few months past), I was drawn to visit. You have to show their social media coupon thing. There is a ton of variation with reviews but I had a good experience, definitely a top Korean fried chicken spot. I also live right across from one which is pretty popular and has high ratings - both have their days. A friend commented that the ones here are smaller and juicier whereas the ones closer to me are larger but that means they aren't as flavorful entirely. Anyways, service could be better but it was still pretty good. We wanted more water and it took a while, but everything else was great. Explanations, fair visits, a note on where utensils and napkins were (side of the table), and friendliness were all high up. After having their wings, I would skip out on the other food and solely get the wings because no matter what, I know I'll be satisfied with the wings and the other food has the potential to disappoint. Snagged a small platter (60 wings) under the catering section - we asked and our server double checked with the kitchen that this was doable. Went the half and half route and got yangnyeom and soy garlic, which we later learned were also the two most popular flavors. Also grabbed some for the family to have with yangnyeom and bbq hot. Small Platter - wings were smallish, but still fair Korean chicken wings. Juicy and tender meat though and each bite was very flavorful. Soy Garlic - Soy garlic was a bit on the lighter side, very much a honey garlic flavor but great if you aren't a big sauce person. Yangnyeom - a classic Korean wing flavor and was super well done here, not overly sauced but enough for the flavor to be impactful. Platter value is pretty good too, slightly over a dollar per wing. BBQ Hot - these are hot! Like they definitely pack a punch. If you only eat spicy occasionally, I'd skip because you'll be regretting the choice.

Yelp
Yes, this is another $4.20 half box (10pc) chicken deal post. Yes, it was THAT good of a deal that tasted amazing that even the 2+ hour wait warrants it 5 stars. We ordered one order each of the classic gold and the soy chicken wings bone-in at the $4.20 deal (2 orders per person). You can also order the boneless or a mix option. We are some at the store when they arrived and the rest at home. They were delicious. The chicken wings were big too, larger than the ones I buy fresh from Costco. A half order box is enough to fill you up. With the classic option, you can choose between 4 dipping sauces (Sweet and sour, honey mustard, Yangnyeom, and I forgot the last one). It also each comes with a side of pickled radishes and cole slaw. Totally unexpected extra banchan! They even provided plastic utensils and napkins in our to go bags as well. When they stopped taking orders for the $4.20 deal, they gave out vouchers to people to redeem on another day. We weren't entirely certain on the parking situation, but we parked behind it in a lot and it was okay. The restaurant has single-stall restrooms and a large dining in area. The staff were very patient throughout the entire process.

Kyle W.

Yelp
I am writing this review in the lens of if I got the chicken full priced, because it is obviously going to be 5 stars if I gauge value based off the promotion running today that I partake in - $4.20 half boxes - max 2 per customer, so $8.40+tax for a full box that normally runs for $29.99. I got half gold (no sauce but comes with 2 dipping sauces) and half soy garlic, and my friend did the same. For the order, you get to choose 2 sauces - so among the 2 of us, we got all 4 of the sauces available - honey BBQ, honey mayo, sweet and sour, and yangnyeom. The place is understandably very busy because the deal is almost too good to be true - placed the order around 12:30pm and it wasn't ready until close to 2pm, so almost 1.5hrs for the order to be ready, and they were swamped enough to close all new orders until 2pm when I physically arrived to the store to try to pick up my online order. I cannot really ding them for going 30 min over the eta given how many orders they are pumping through today. The chicken itself is very crispy outside, even the soy garlic. One primary reason is that while there is not much sauce tossed within the Korean fried chicken, the flavor is still pretty apparent. This makes this place's chicken soooodam (get it?) good! It is so crispy even after leaving it out for a few hours - as I ordered this in the late afternoon before more people catch on this promotion, so that I can enjoy it during dinner. Most people like the gold fried chicken more as you get 2 sauces so you get 2 flavors even at half order. I liked the yangnyeom and honey BBQ the most, with honey mayo a close second. All of the sauces pair pretty well with the gold fried chicken. A full order total yields about 20 pieces of chicken if you opt for the party wing type (drumsticks and wings) which is a looot of food. And even at regular price of $30+tax, this is still pretty solid price.

Denise N.

Yelp
Ordered takeout but the food was great. The take out box has vents so the chicken is still crispy! Also got the toppoki and it was good but not spicy enough. If you get it at home, I recommend adding ramen noodles and cheese on top!

Krissy N.

Yelp
The chicken is delicious and the staff are all very friendly. Combo meal is a great value!

Yelp
My group and I came to Sodam for our friend's birthday, as he's been wanting to try the Korean fried chicken. We had made a reservation, but we didn't really need to as the place was fairly open on a Wednesday evening. Our group decided to split full orders of the following flavors: Original, Yangyeom, Gang Jang, Soy Garlic and Hot BBQ. I would say that the Yangyeom and Original were my favorites! Unfortunately, the service was quite lackluster. We had one server who was in training and she was nice, but it felt like the main server really didn't want to be there in the way she handled things. My friend had to put in her order twice because it got lost the first time. The QR code menu is also kind of confusing - it pops open their ordering menu and it says we can place our order online. However, the main server said that it would take much longer for the order to come out if we went that route. Maybe the QR code sign needs to be reworded because it seems like it's encouraging in-restaurant diners to order online instead. Lastly, this is the first Korean fried chicken restaurant that didn't come with complimentary radish on the side, which was kind of a bummer. :( It was also SO HOT temperature wise inside the restaurant that evening - we were all literally sweating by the time we were done, and it wasn't even from the spice! Overall, the chicken flavor was good but the poor service definitely overshadowed our experience there. At least they have their own parking in the back!

Matthew H.

Yelp
Nice casual place. The ordering process was unusual and there seem to be a language barrier with one of the girls. I ordered a half order of soy garlic wings and chicken, garlic fried rice. The wings were very good. Crispy with tons of flavor. These alone would have filled me up enough. The fried rice tasted unusual and bland. Definitely not traditional fried rice. I boxed the rice up to take home so I could fry it up some more. Lastly, this place is pricey in my opinion. After a 20% tip my bill came to $40.00 And I didn't even get a drink. I'd eat here again but I'd probably stick to a half order of wings and a beer.

Laiha C.

Yelp
I hate giving so few stars but I just don't feel I could give more based on my opinions. I do not eat fried chicken. I just don't. Ick. However- I eat KOREAN fried chicken. Yes, it's different. Lol. I'm saying this, our go to place is BBQ in the Lynnwood H Mart. They are so popular for a reason. Well, we waited too long yesterday and they were closing soon, so we tried Sodam. Firstly, they are more expensive. Also, after receiving our order (full Yang Nyeom and half Golden) we were disappointed in the portion size for the price. Finally and most importantly, didn't love the flavor or texture. Yes, I am a chicken texture freak, so there's that, but the sauce on the Yang Nyeom is very thick and goopy (think American bbq sauce) and the flavor was lacking something. Honestly, I didn't even try the golden fried but my cohorts weren't impressed and we finished maybe half the meal. They also give a superfluous baby amount of coke slaw. You do get the much needed pickled radish and you can get a big cup for $1.99. Anyways, I wouldn't return tbh.

Yelp
Two very young women are running this entire place tonight and seem to be doing a pretty good job. Both stay busy doing actual work and don't appear to ever pull out their digital fentanyl. The music with endless kpop videos is kept at a decent level for good conversation without raising your voice, thank you very much! Walking in, one immediately thinks "clean! And in Shoreline!? Nice!" The menu is a little daunting for those without Korean experience but the table menus explain it all. I got the soy garlic and yangnum (spelled incorrectly, I know) combo and it was served with coleslaw (expected) and some fried rolls (unexpected). Everything is very good. The coleslaw is rather sweet and I like it. The staff serve water in a very nice carafe and the napkins and utensils are in a slide-out drawer under the table - nice touch! I know my wife and son are going to love this place.

Yelp
Was craving Korean Fried Chicken and this place had great reviews so I decided to check them out. The restaurant looked fairly new and I appreciated that there was an option to dine in or takeout. I decided to do takeout and liked that there was available seating in front of the menu to do so. I was underwhelmed by the flavors but decided to try a new sauce- Korean bbq heat and was so happy that I asked for a sample before committing. It was very sweet but did have a kick but wasn't what I was looking for. I decided upon soy garlic which came with coleslaw and radishes. The employee taking orders was very personable and answered questions all while putting orders together and taking them as well. I used the restroom while there and was pleased to see that it was clean. I removed a star because my chicken wasn't as crunchy after traveling 20 mins to my destination and I wished for more flavor as previous experiences with other establishments. I would recommend that you check this Sodam out and ask to sample the sauces if you're unsure.

Yelp
I love Korean fried chicken. Love love love. This is some of the best I have had. Secondly, the Tteokboki (sp?) was SO good. I almost wish I lived in this area to go here more often. I liked the saucier wing flavors (hot BBQ and yangnyeom) a lot, but the hot bbq is definitely hot! The soy garlic was also amazing.

Yelp
Sodam Chicken is a much welcomed addition to Shoreline's North City neighborhood. This is a well established chain from Korea, so I'm glad this local family owned franchise chose this destination spot. Usually one has to head elsewhere to satisfy that KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) craving. But I didn't want to deal with traffic and parking elsewhere, so I decided on a spontaneous visit during that dunch/linner time frame around 3:30pm (4/26/22). There is street parking along 15th, but chose to use the ample lot located behind the building. Their website wasn't accepting online orders that afternoon, but the onsite overhead menu was helpful. The interior is very clean and updated from previous businesses that used to be here. Counter staff were friendly and welcoming. While I was waiting for my takeout order, there was a couple dining onsite and other takeout orders being picked up. Takeout was nicely packaged. One box had vented holes to prevent the hot chicken wings to prevent steaming and did not get soggy. The aromatic scent permeated my car at each red light heading back home. I ordered a full order of D3 Soy Garlic Chicken Wings, received 21 hot, plump, well sauced wings ($29.99) and an order of S2 Curry Fried Rice ($11.99). I had intended on Kimchee Fried Rice, but I must not have enuciated clearly as I was wearing a mask while onsite. This was a lot of food shared between me and The Homie over four sittings. Ample sized, well seasoned, and reheated well. With tax/tip, this takeout order was a little over $53. It's a splurge, but like other chicken centric spots in the greater Seattle area, you pay for quality and the supply chain availability during these pandemic times. Definitely worth additional future visits to explore other tasty items from their menu. Welcome to Shoreline, Sodam Chicken!

Yelp
I drove by this new establishment after realizing it's been a long time since I've had Korean food and not to mention after binge watching 2 K-drama series. The stop did not disappoint. Clearly known for their chicken as it is in their name. I ordered the kimchi-jjigae. This dish hugged my soul with its warmth and bold flavors. Will be coming again to try their other dishes!

Yelp
THE STARS ONLY REFLECT THE SERVICE, NOT TASTE OF THE FOOD. Some of the best fried chicken in the Seattle area IMO. The flavors are on point. So taste, 5/5 for me, especially the gangjang and yangnyum ones. HOWEVER, there are a lot of improvements that need to happen for this place to be an amazing place to go to. The service was fine, but it's very apparent that the workers do not have a lot of training or coordination as a team. Other complaints: We essentially had to tell the workers our orders or any requests twice, the QR code on the table for online ordering is useless because we were told that it just goes to regular online orders, and it was soooo hot inside...I think the AC was turned on like over an hour after we were there...meaning we were eating chicken in a hot restaurant.

Yelp
Love the chicken here, especially the soy garlic chicken and the half and half dish! So happy they opened up a Korean fried chicken place in Shoreline, it's definitely worth trying out! Also it's pretty affordable which is always a plus.

Yelp
One of the better Korean fried chicken spots that I've been. Chicken was crispy and the portion size for a lunch combo is pretty good. They need more dipping sauce options, though and they need to offer pre sauces wings. The sweet chili tasted like watered down pepper jelly.

Yelp
I'm always on the lookout for new Korean Fried Chicken restaurants so when I heard that this place opened up, I had to try it out! First off, if you're expecting crunchy fried chicken, this might not be the place to go. Perhaps it was because I got it through delivery, it was quite soggy. However, the flavor was delicious; bold and strong! The consistency of the sauce on the chicken resembled more of a orange chicken, but it wasn't disappointing. One thing I wish was better was their fries. It was a little undercooked and not seasoned with salt. Probably wouldn't be getting this again.

Yelp
Finally had an excuse to try them, anniversary offer!! $4.20 for a half order is a steal. 4 boxes fed 4 with leftovers! The restaurant is huge and we will definitely be back. The wait was understandably long as everyone is there, but the one lady at the front was professional and still nice even though you know she's stressed! Good chicken, great offer! Will be back!

Yelp
I could write love songs and poetry and nothing but all the wonderful things about this place!! As I'm writing and reminiscing about Saturday nights dinner, my mouth is literally beginning to water! I stumbled upon this place while door dashing and the whole ride to the customers house I kept wondering what was inside those bags...so I went back with my kiddo and found out! And we have agreed...this is our new spot! The chicken was crispy and juicy, the oil they use is clean so all you taste is the wingy goodness and amazing flavors! The shrimp . OMG! The shrimp. I can't even put into words how good it was. I can't wait to go back...they're going to know my name by the end of the year!! 10 out of 5

Yelp
I like the chicken, but I've ordered 3 times and every time they miss something in the order?! Probably don't order online or through a delivery service. I would go into the store and double/triple check that you are getting everything that your order.

Yelp
Ain't no thing like a (Korean) chicken wing... This is how i come to feel as i am chomping through the delicious wings this place serves. With bones, boneless, or mix? And what favors do you like? How about a variety of alcoholic beverages with that? The place is new, clean, and spacious.... and popping with K-pop playing on a big screen tv. Besides the fried chicken, this place also serves a variety of other traditional Korean food like fried rice, noodles, etc. Staffs are super friendly too! Check it out!

Yelp
The only chicken spot I go to these days. I will drive down from lynnwood to get take out from here. The chicken is always crispy, and delicious and love that they are wing pieces and not the gianormous scary looking drumsticks (but maybe that's a personal preference). Love that they offer coleslaw and other varieties of sides and appetizers, as well as fried rice. Their chicken and shrimp box is the best of both worlds.

Yelp
Sodam is my new favorite Korean fried chicken restaurant. I have been looking for one I really like! I used to go to Stone Korean restaurants but sodam has one upped them in flavor and variety of flavors. I have yet to try all the flavors, but my current go tos are the garlic and gochujang. Pairs really well with korean rice wine too :) Food tastes amazing whether dining in or ordering to-go!

Yelp
Parking here can be very easy to miss, as the lot is behind the restaurant and you go into a smaller alleyway that is shared with the apartment buildings next door. Upon entering, there is plenty of seating space outside and inside. We were seated inside by the servers and provided menus and water. We ended up ordering the family meal deal and some soju. The portions were great and we ended up with extra to take home! The yangnyum chicken was so yummy and I would definitely come back to try other flavors.

Yelp
Unfortunately a mediocre spot for Korean Fried Chicken, especially if you're a fan of Yangnyeom chicken. We ordered the family combo which came with two orders of their KFC, fried rice, yakisoba, egg rolls, gyoza, and a 2 liter of soda, a ton of food for 4 people! We had the soy garlic and Yangnyeom flavors for chicken. The soy garlic was actually pretty good! I liked the flavor and crispiness of the chicken. The Yangnyeom was super disappointing for us though. It was way too sweet and had no sense of spice whatsoever. My whole table agreed the soy garlic was vastly superior, and we had a ton of the Yangnyeom leftover. The kimchi fried rice was pretty good but everything else was just meh. Also, not providing radish with Korean fried chicken is criminal! Service was good and efficient. Each table has a pullout drawer underneath that has all of your utensils, napkins and even wet wipes available so that was pretty cool. The restaurant itself is vibrant and spacious. Parking can be tough though, as they do not have a parking lot.
