"A walk through the Meadows is an Edinburgh essential to get away from the Mile’s din, and Soderberg — which recently opened a cafe in Soho — is worth a stop. Coffee, sandwiches, and salads are all fine, but the must-orders are the buns. The fruit ones are decent, but the kanelbulle and kardemummabulle, cinnamon and cardamom, are the two best. Cardamom is number one." - James Hansen

It's a nice place to get a coffee and a snack. If you go early, you have a better choice of pastries and buns. The cardomen buns are delicious and highly recommended. Coffee was OK - but cold because they took forever to make it. The most laughable thing is the rest room where you need a code to enter - and it's on he receipt. I guess that's reasonable due to probable past abuse by non customers. The tables were sticky and not very clean. Shame.

A nice coffee shop situated beside the University and the Meadow Park. Coffee was very sharp, and strong, something to note when ordering. Atmosphere outside the shop was nice and watching the public stroll by and the many dogs that accompany them. A nice place to stop and rest your legs after a stroll in the park. Would recommend the Cinnamon Roll if looking for a light snack.

Nice coffee and good selection of pastries. Just sometimes the tables aren't wiped properly? I get it that it gets busy at times, but maintaining basic hygiene may be good for a food shop.

Discovered this place in my first year of uni and have been coming back ever since! Such a great location across from campus, good selection of drinks - as a tea lover I especially appreciate their tea menu. The pastries are always wonderful, recently I tried their carrot and coriander soup which was absolutely delicious. Outside seating creates a lovely atmosphere too.

A good selection of tea/coffee, pastries, and snacks—their savory tarts served as a quick lunch for me on many occasions. Overall good ambiance—love the floor-to-ceiling glass panels. The tables and chairs could be wiped more often, however. The bathroom is roomy and sufficiently clean.

Coffee and pastries are really good but when it’s busy they can take quite long with the drinks. Still, the place is very nice and next to the Meadows park, so it’s a nice cafe away from the crowded old town.

A nice place for coffee and pastries. The coffee is a little on the sour side but was better than most chains. The latte art was good even with oat milk. The knotted pastries were delicious and lightly spiced with cinnamon. The coffee cake was disappointing and dry. The staff were friendly enough, and service was relatively quick given most tables were full when we arrived. A good place if you’re passing by.

Like other Söderberg cafes, this one is no exception and delivers the same high-quality service and products. The assortment of pastries and cakes on display is delightful, allowing you to browse and choose your favourites. I especially appreciate the outdoor seating arrangement, which is perfect for enjoying a warm day.
