Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche

Being a Sofitel , my expectations were pretty high considering this is a high end brand from the Accor group. We used Accor points to book a Luxury Sea View room. ||There are multiple issues with the hotel which need to be fixed considering the hotel itself , rooms and pool are pretty good. ||1. Water pressure and supply : The water pressure in my room was very iffy all through my stay. At times it would be super high and at times water would barely trickle from the taps. The flush also didn’t work at times. Hot water in the taps and the bath tub were also luke warm to say the least . |2. Breakfast buffet : Considering it’s a Sofitel , we had reasonable expectations but sadly every item on the menu was bland and it seemed made just to fill the stomach and strictly nothing else. In fact after day 2 , we weren’t even keen to avail the breakfast at the hotel. |3. Dated Aircon : The air-con was very iffy and would suddenly stop working , necessitating us to wake up and restart the aircon in the middle of the night . I think the aircon system needs a solid overhaul. |4. Friendliness of staff: Again had high expectations considering my earlier experiences with the brand , but every member of the staff just seemed to be busy about their jobs. I never really noticed any warmth in any of my interactions with the staff. Just very mechanical in every single conversations that I had , either at the reception , the pool or the restaurant. ||All in all, the issues I’ve outlined above really detracted from the positives of the hotel such as location , rooms , lovely swimming pool and amenities leaving me no choice but to go with a 2/5 rating.

this review is long overdue||stayed at the hotel during F1, and was expecting significantly higher standards. there were too many issues. ||- upon arriving we asked about transportation to the event and they said they didn't have any. I arrange for transportation for the next, and as we are leaving the hotel we see a bus taking people to the event. |- we ask again and they say yes they have transportation on a first come first serve. we go the next day, and the transportation was filled up so quick and were told that there are no additional buses coming. a lot of people had to arrange their own transportation. |- Breakfast was good, but had to wait for cutlery and napkins for a while. apparantly they "ran out"|- we booked a Jr Suite, and the bed was that of a 3 star hotel with a topper on it (see pic). the coffee was soluble in sachets, with a hot water kettle. this for a 5 star hotel in a suite.|- the drinks at the pool bar felt watered down. |- the executive lounge was poorly decorated, and quality of service was very low||I can keep going!! terrible experience, absolutely the worst experience I had in a Sofitel, and will definitely look for an alternative next time.||how can Accor allow such poor standards in one of their signature brands?

Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche is a nice hotel with a spacious and comfortable room. From check-in to check-out, the staff was incredibly kind and professional, ensuring a smooth experience. Although we encountered a small issue at the beginning, it was handled with care and professionalism, which made all the difference. The overall stay was very enjoyable, and I would definitely consider returning. A solid choice for a comfortable and well-managed stay in Abu Dhabi!

The hotel is overall okay but not up to expectations. Breakfast was good with a nice variety of options, and that was probably the highlight of the stay. However, lunch and dinner were disappointing and really not at the same level as breakfast. The property itself feels dated and definitely needs some renovation and upgrades, especially in the rooms and common areas. With a bit of refreshing and improvement in the dining experience, it could reach a much higher standard. For now, I would say it’s an average stay decent for a short trip, but not a place I’d rush back to

From the moment we arrived everyone has been extremely helpful in a very timely manner, especially Yasmin at reception. Housekeeping prepared tea for me due to feeling stuffy, staff were extremely friendly at breakfast. I’ll definitely come back when I’m back in Abu Dhabi.. Thank You Sofitel !

The Sofitel in Abu Dhabi offers a high-quality hotel experience, especially thanks to its beautiful suites. The one we stayed in was truly stunning—spacious, elegantly decorated, with a very comfortable bed and a great view of either the city or the waterfront, depending on the location. The overall ambiance of the hotel is nice and refined, living up to the Sofitel brand’s reputation. The service throughout our stay was good. Staff members were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Check-in was smooth, and we felt well taken care of from beginning to end. However, a small downside was the buffet offered with the half-board option. While the variety of food was good and the quality quite decent, the atmosphere of the buffet restaurant felt a bit too much like a canteen. We would have appreciated a more refined setting and a better presentation of the dishes to match the elegance of the rest of the hotel. The hotel pool is lovely—well-maintained and perfect for relaxing. That said, it’s important to remember that this is a city hotel, so it lacks the beachfront charm of resorts located by the sea. Still, it’s a great choice for a comfortable and stylish city stay.

Good overall stay at Sofitel Corniche. Staff were very kind and helpful throughout. The room could use some maintenance, especially in the shower and bathroom area. The swimming pool with a view and the gym are excellent highlights. Definitely worth the price for the location and amenities.

Great luxury hotel, lots of shiny marble, staff are extremely attentive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.|The hotel buffet is delicious but on the expensive side. If you go around to the back of the hotel you'll find a vibrant neighborhood with restaurants, supermarkets, and lots of textile shops.
