I stayed at this hotel from 15–18 2026February .
I normally prefer Sofitel and Accor properties and have always been satisfied with the brand. However, this stay was a serious disappointment.
First, I would like to mention that Mihaela and Jimmy at the breakfast area were extremely professional and attentive. Their service was truly appreciated.
Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was not acceptable.
There was a strong burnt electrical cable smell near the elevators and in the corridor leading to the room, and it persisted throughout the entire stay. Despite being reported multiple times, no action was taken. I had to spend three nights concerned about a potential electrical issue.
The shower water pressure in the room was very low and was not fixed despite being reported.
The fitness area was also very inadequate. There were no disinfectant sprays or wipes available to clean the equipment. Even after requesting it, nothing was provided. Trash bins were full, a mirror was cracked, and overall maintenance felt neglected. It was far below the standard expected from an international hotel.
Additionally, I witnessed breakfast items being placed without gloves or tongs. Although this was corrected after I pointed it out, it raised concerns about hygiene standards.
During group check-outs, there were repeated credit card system errors, reflecting operational and organizational issues.
My expectations were high due to my past positive experiences with the brand. Unfortunately, this stay fell significantly below standard and has created serious hesitation about returning.
