Sofitel Mexico City Reforma

"Why book? From its indoor-outdoor rooftop bar with unmatched views of Paseo de la Reforma to its expansive urban spa replete with hot-cold dipping tubs and a heated indoor pool, the Sofitel Mexico City Reforma is a contemporary oasis to both imbibe and reset along Mexico City’s most enigmatic avenue. Set the scene: Be it suits or stilettos, the rooftop bar at the Sofitel is a place to see and be seen almost every night of the week. With its sophisticated, glamorous aesthetic, the property attracts both locals and visitors alike who are eager to have one of the best vantage points to see the bright lights of Mexico City shimmer from above. The backstory: When the Sofitel opened in 2019 along the bustling Paseo de la Reforma, the building made quite the statement of how to preserve historic architecture while incorporating modern design. The base of the hotel forms around a restored 1983 building, while the majority of the property—like the 275 guest rooms, eateries, and spa—are housed in a contemporary, 40-story tower that offers unmatched views of Mexico City. The rooms: The property features 275 guest rooms, of which 56 are suites. While all rooms feature L’Occitane amenities and Nespresso coffee machines, the most luxurious suite of all is the Imperial Suite, host to an expansive open-concept living room offering floor-to-ceiling windows that look to Mexico City’s Angel of Independence, one of the city’s iconic landmarks. Food and drink: The property is host to several dining options, including Balta, a wood-fired kitchen combining both Mediterranean and Mexican flavors, and Bajel, an open-concept restaurant that offers a new menu every three months. But, by far, the star of the property is Citizyn, a rooftop restaurant and cocktail bar that offers the perfect perch to view Mexico City from above. The spa: Hands down, the Sofitel has the best spa in Mexico City. Not only does the center offer specialized massage treatments like detoxifying lymphatic massages with creamy almond scrubs, but it also offers hot-cold dipping tubs and both a steam and sauna room. But the best part of all is the spa’s expansive pool, set one floor below the spa on the 38th level, where you can relax post-treatment with an unmatched view of Mexico City. The neighborhood/area: The property is set on the lively Paseo de la Reforma, one of Mexico City’s most iconic boulevards. Lined with flowering jacaranda trees, the street leads to iconic locales such as Chapultepec Park, the city’s largest green space. The service: The property’s concierge offers impeccable service and can help guests with everything from scoring hard-to-get reservations at restaurants to booking museum visits and experiences. Anything left to mention? Be sure to try the Mexican Eagle cocktail at the rooftop bar, a smoky mezcal-based drink spiced with herbaceous yellow chartreuse and savory celery bitters." - Michaela Trimble

There is a lot to love but the location is tricky and Paseo de la Reforma isn’t what is used to be. But the hotel is nice and the service is mostly exceptional. Especially during the day and during the week. They clearly have the B team on at night and most weekends as many of them barely raise their heads to say hello as you make your way in and out of the hotel. However, the front desk staff during the week is very attentive and always welcome you warmly. Of special note is Diego at the concierge desk and Eduardo who assists with baggage and anything else you might need. They are real hospitality professionals and really made my stay. The spa is nice too!

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel, and one of the absolute highlights was the exceptional service we received from Ivan. On the day of our departure, many streets were closed due to a city marathon, and it was nearly impossible to find our Uber. Without hesitation, Ivan stepped in to help — he not only contacted the driver directly but actually went out into the street searching for him to make sure we wouldn’t miss our flight. Thanks to his dedication and quick thinking, we made it to the airport on time. Ivan went truly above and beyond, showing a level of care and professionalism that made all the difference. It’s rare to encounter such genuinely helpful and proactive service, and we’re incredibly grateful. Sofitel is already a beautiful hotel with top-notch amenities, but staff like Ivan are what truly elevate the experience. Thank you for making our stay — and our departure — so smooth and memorable!

Unparalleled Service and Hospitality at Sofitel Reforma||We recently hosted a professional workshop at the Sofitel Reforma in Mexico City, and the experience was truly outstanding from start to finish. As the event organizer, I couldn’t have asked for a more attentive, polished, and professional team. Every detail was handled with care, precision, and a genuine smile.||The service before, during, and after the event was simply world-class. From last-minute requests to on-the-spot adjustments, the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The food and beverage offering was superb—elegant, delicious, and praised by every guest in attendance.||A heartfelt thank you and special shout-out to Fernanda, Ximena, Carla, Tom, Silver, Roberto, and Carlos—your dedication, kindness, and support made all the difference. Each of you played a key role in making this event a success, and your professionalism truly stood out.||All our guests were deeply impressed by the venue, the hospitality, and the overall experience. I travel to Mexico City frequently, and after staying at the Sofitel Mexico City Reforma, I simply wouldn’t stay anywhere else. This hotel consistently delivers an experience that’s warm, elegant, and effortlessly luxurious.||From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by an incredibly attentive and thoughtful team who truly go above and beyond. Every stay feels personal. Diego at the concierge is simply outstanding—knowledgeable, professional, and always ready to help. Julian makes you feel like a valued guest from the first interaction to the last. I also want to give a special thanks to Samantha, Andrea, and Frida, whose kindness and attention made my stay even more memorable.||The CLB Millésime lounge is a peaceful and refined escape, perfect for working or relaxing with a coffee or glass of wine. The pool, with its panoramic views of Mexico City, is an oasis of calm high above the city—one of my favorite spots.||The food is another standout. Balta offers a perfect mix of French and Mexican flavors in a laid-back yet refined setting. Bajel is a fine dining gem—creative, elegant, and simply delicious.||Sofitel Reforma feels like a second home. Every detail is well thought out, every space beautifully designed, and the staff make all the difference. I always look forward to coming back.

Absolutely amazing dining experience from start to finish. The view is just the icing on the cake. Would most definitely recommend and would return. My waitress Vanessa was everything and then some. Thanks!

Google
The best hotel I’ve probably stayed at. Great service, food and amenities. My second time staying at this property because it’s centrally located with amazing views of the city. Enjoyed the heated rooftop swimming pool and sauna and Shannon was super attentive to me and my friends while we were up there. Definitely a highlight of the property.

Google
A Truly Exceptional Stay – Thoughtful, Caring, and Unforgettable! I was deeply touched by the incredible warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine care from the staff at Sofitel Mexico City. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel like family. Carlos “Charlie” was especially wonderful, so considerate, present, and welcoming. His kindness made my stay feel truly special. I celebrated my birthday during my visit, and I felt so cared for and moved by the attention to detail and the way the team made the experience memorable in the hotel, Cityzen rooftop and for breakfast. I also unexpectedly came down with an ear infection, and the concierge went above and beyond, even at 6 a.m., to help me coordinate a doctor’s visit and get the prescription I needed before my flight later that day all at the hotel. That level of care and dedication is so appreciated. My room was luxurious, beautifully designed, and extremely functional, every comfort was thoughtfully considered. The pool and sauna felt magical, offering the perfect space to relax and recharge. I can’t recommend Sofitel Mexico City enough. It was an unforgettable experience, and I will absolutely be returning.

Google
The location is a double edged sword. Very central on Paseo de la Reforma near the stock exchange and the Angel monument. But this is a high traffic area and a favorite for demonstrations so not the best place if you rent a car (not advisable). The rooms are spectacular and most of the staff is high quality and well trained. I felt comfortable and safe traveling as a solo female and would stay here again.

Yelp
We have stayed at Sofitel's in multiple cities and have liked all of them. This one in Mexico City was the best one yet. We were there for a group trip with Modern Adventure and they were in charge of reserving our rooms. We had a King room on the 35th floor facing west, so we had a view of the entire city from our floor to ceiling windows. The technology in the room was so advanced. You could open and close the sheers and blinds, and turn on and off the lights from the bed. There was blue tooth capability that was easy to pair your phone and have an excellent sound system in the room. The bed was on the firmer side (which we like) and so comfortable. We asked for two more pillows that were brought up within 30 minutes. The bathroom was excellent. There were also floor to ceiling windows that allowed nature light in and the bathtub was in the shower area so you can shower or bathe in the same space. There was no need to close the blind as we were so far up no one could see in, so that was fun! The only thing we didn't like was the smell of the L'Occitane shampoo and conditioner. It smelled like plastic and was very off-putting. The staff was fantastic. During the time we were there, we mostly interacted with David and Lalo in the Concierge area. They were one step ahead of us the entire time. I spent some time talking with David and he was professional, yet shared some nice conversation with me. He explained some of the intricacies of the city, which I appreciated. The front desk staff were also lovely. We asked for water every night, and then when they cleaned our room, they left 8 waters for us knowing we drank a lot of water! We did enjoy Cityzen, the bar on the 38th floor, for three nights while we were there. It's lively and dark, and can be chilly if they leave the doors open for the roof-top. The staff was attentive and friendly and the drinks were well-poured. They are also open later, which worked out well for us. We highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Yelp
If you're not staying in Polanco I highly recommend staying in Reforma, but it is not walking distance to all the shopping & restaurants like in Polanco. However, this hotel is a MUST STAY LOCATION! This five star hotel is one glamours hotel chain by the French people. The products they use for the restroom are from France, L'Occitane en Provence, so if you forget to pack your; shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & hand soap Sofitel has you covered. The rooftop restaurant is stunning & breathtaking, the pool is indoor & they have a built hot tub in the pool, imagine that. The suite, higher level rooms, have access to their lounge that has complementary food & beverages. Hands down thee best lounge I have ever been to at a hotel. The food is delicious & the cocktails are made with a lot of love & flavor above all.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Mexico City, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel's stunning architecture, impeccable amenities, and exceptional service made for an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with warmth and kindness. The front desk team, concierges, and housekeeping staff all went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The Sofitel Mexico City truly feels like a haven in the midst of this vibrant city. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking exceptional service, comfort, and style.

Yelp
**This review is for the Balta breakfast buffet only ** We went for brunch at Balta on New Year's Day, with the hopes of a festive setting and some opulence to start the year. The restaurant is nicely decorated, but only some seats have a view of the city. The breakfast buffet, at 675pesos/person, is expensive by local standards but not bad compared to NYC. The buffet includes AYCE of a variety of products as well as one main dish off the A la carte menu, as well as coffees and juices. Our server, while very friendly, was not very good and definitely shaved a star off the experience. She forgot one person's juice, another person's coffee, and when we needed a replacement knife and fork, she said, "Of course" but then disappeared, and we had to flag down someone else who immediately whisked the cutlery off another table. I also asked for toast, which was cheerfully acknowledged...but never came. As for the buffet options - it's not the most sumptuous I've ever encountered, but if you like yogurt/granola with a wide variety of nuts and fresh fruits, you'll be pleased (I, liking neither yogurt nor most fruits, was underwhelmed). There was also a very tasty variety of croissants with different fillings. There were some other savory options, including lox (strangely unsalty, and only a very small quantity that was not replenished) some meats (all pork), and some cheeses. All in all, it was a nice atmosphere with decent to good options (especially if you're less picky than me), but the service was lacking enough to detract from the experience.

Yelp
I rarely Yelp about hotels but this place has got to be one of the best places I've ever stayed while traveling. From the service, to the amenities and the small special touches by the concierge and housekeeping, Sofitel has me wondering what have I been missing not staying at Sofitels EVERYWHERE I go! Tip - don't bother eating breakfast outside. They serve a complimentary massive buffet with full menu. Can't wait to return next month!

Yelp
Absolutely breathtaking views and good service. Appetizers are good quality and good portions as well. You have to experience the views and the open feel! A most go!

Yelp
My gal pals and I went to Mexico City to celebrate our individual July bdays and thankfully, they agreed to stay at Sofitel reforma as it's my favorite hotel in Mexico City. Not only were we greeted with delicious chocolate when we arrived, everyone there was very helpful and extremely friendly. We were able to get rooms with club level access so the concierge there became quite familiar with our little group of 5. We are all from Houston and at the time, we didn't realize that our trip would need to be cut short due to approaching hurricane Beryl. So stress set in only a day after arriving. Two of our pals had booked a tour via an outside provider and had an awful experience -we mentioned this to our friendly concierge at the club level and they said they had a surprise for us later that evening. Of course, we were intrigued. After all of us cutting our trips short we headed to our final dinner and came back as promised to the club to find that they had planned a birthday party for us!!! Complete with champagne, a cake, and a fun game of loteria (Mexican bingo). Half of us were in tears (happy ones) given all the anxiety we had about going back home plus our friends who had a less than stellar experience were grinning from ear to ear. As a going away gift -they graciously gave us each beautiful hand made masks to take home with us. To those concierge; Natalia, Natalie, Laura, and Isaac --THANK YOU!!! You have no idea how amazing you made our trip. We will all be forever grateful to you and your immense kindness. As someone who travels quite frequently, I have NEVER experienced such graciousness. I will NEVER stay anywhere else in Mexico City!

Yelp
Amazing 5 star hotel - definitely worth a stay. Here are some of my observations, to help you: - With a Silver Accor membership, we got upgraded from the standard room to a Luxury room. Which was on a high floor, bigger in size (maybe 40+ sqm?) and felt more luxurious. Separate toilet room from shower and bath, for example. We also received complimentary cocktail voucher for two people, as well as a late check-out till 2pm. - Breakfast is amazing. Definitely go for it. Hot dishes are cooked to order, and there's a selection of pastries, cold foods, and also a station for fresh crepes and quesadillas! - Pool is nice, on the second highest floor. However, it is a small pool, and it is indoors instead of outdoors (this may be a plus or minus depending when you visit). There are also sauna rooms, but no steam rooms. - Cityzen rooftop bar is amazing, with an outdoor roof area overlooking the Reforma Avenue, and the Angel of Independence statue. Recommend getting a drink here, but the food is way overpriced and not very good. - Location is in Reforma. Not so much in the immediate area; you'll mainly be taking Uber to Centro for the ancient sites (20-30 minutes) or to the Condesa or Polanco area for fine dining (10-20 minutes). But it is a safe area, and there is stuff around if you don't want to venture. - Nespresso machine in each room, lots of complimentary water, super fast strong internet, Occitane toiletries... just amazing in terms of comfort. - 7-Eleven right next door, as well as a Santander bank branch for ATM, etc. Overall, can't fault our stay at all. Well worth the money. Its not top of the 5 star range - not too much personal service. But the hard product and everything else above is fantastic.

Yelp
Great for the view from the rooftop! We shared some quac and chips. I don't think I'd go there for a full meal.

Yelp
I have to say this is the best hotel in Mexico City. The service is excellent and everyone always has a smile on their face. Everyone knows my name and treat me like royalty. The word NO doesn't exist in this property. Highly record this Hotel for your stay in the city. They have the highest pool in the city.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel just as a transit hotel in Mexico City. We were pleasantly surprised with how good the hotel was. The location is very convenient to many restaurants and bars and other sites. Service was great but you really get a lot of bang for your buck in terms of the space and quality of the interiors of the hotel. It felt very comfortable and luxurious, which was a nice change from the Roma boutique hotel we stayed at during the beginning of our trip. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
This has been an incredible experience! The level of hospitality I experienced at this location was on another level and I am so grateful that I got to have time connect with the amazing team Natalia, Luis, Linette, Laura, Frida, Natalie! THANK YOU, GRACIAS, you have made this trip memorable.

Yelp
My time at the Sofitel in Mexico City was unforgettable; the hotel lived up to and exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked through the lobby doors, I felt at home, and that sentiment persisted throughout my stay. The staff at the Sofitel Mexico City deserves high praise for their professionalism and willingness to go that extra mile during my stay. It would be a mistake on my part not to call out Juan Pablo from Guest Relations for special recognition and gratitude, as well as María José, Marta, and Jose. In addition, Gina and Max from the hotel's concierge service provided fantastic recommendations on short notice, and the hotel porters were genuinely lovely people who made the guests feel as though they were in their own homes. Every single member of the team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attentiveness while effectively meeting requirements, maintaining composure, and doing it all in a chic, kind, approachable manner! I was also particularly impressed that they were fluent in various languages. Overall, any request, irrespective of its magnitude or level of complexity, they fulfilled and exceeded. Their dedication to ensuring that their customers are happy sets them apart from their competitors. The rooms were sophisticated to an unrivaled degree. The well-considered furniture and layout created a once-refined, subtle, and welcoming ambiance. It was a relief to return to the hotel after a day exploring the exciting city and find that the staff had attended to every detail, from the ultra-soft linens to the state-of-the-art amenities. The staff members' kindness and eagerness to be of assistance was the most memorable aspect of my visit. They were able to provide an abundance of information about Mexico City as well as everything there was to know about the hotel. Their endless supply of helpful advice, from the best places to eat to the must-see historical sites, made for an unforgettable trip. Their enthusiasm for their hometown was palpable in every recommendation they made. The Sofitel is an oasis of calm amid the frenetic activity of the metropolitan area. Those who are looking for a beautiful hotel that is situated close to the center of the city should strongly consider staying at the Sofitel Mexico City. During your stay at the Sofitel, you may have peace of mind knowing that it will provide a refuge of luxury and elegance and a staff that is concerned about your satisfaction above all else. Keep this in mind whether you are traveling for business or pleasure.

Yelp
I stayed here during my time in Mexico City this past weekend and it was a great experience. This hotel is gorgeous and the views from the rooms are incredible. Rooms weee clean, excellent service and a lot of great amenities. Indoor heated pool on the roof with a great view of the city. A great rooftop bar, and plenty of other great restaurants on site. It's also pretty safe and a lot of security and safe guards in place for peace of mind! It's also walking distance to a lot of great sites and restaurants in the area.

Yelp
I LOVE staying at hotels and the Sofitel is one of my favorite hotel experiences! It's located right in Reforma, so it's close to a lot of lively streets and in a safe neighborhood. We even had a view of the iconic gold angel statue! The service was impeccable, everyone was so nice and eager to help, and answered all of our questions. They also had complimentary cookies and fruit water in the lobby. We booked through AMEX fine hotels, so we got some additional amenities that made the experience even more memorable. There were macaroons and fresh berries waiting for us in the room, and we ate the continental breakfast bar almost every morning. I didn't get to use the pool but I went to check it out and it is super nice!! It is an indoor pool, and they also have a sauna and other cool amenities. I hope to visit Mexico City again just so I can stay here!

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel July 11-16. This hotel is located on the Reforma and is centrally located. This hotel is such an amazing place. Staff is in point from the second you arrive and assist you all the way to your room. Unlike other hotels the lobby is on the 14th floor. We stayed on the 24th floor and had an amazing view of the Angel. Food here was excellent and the bar on the top of the hotel has an amazing view of the city. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I planned a 40th bday weekend with thirty friends, coming in from the states, and we did our room block at the sofitel! Fernanda fielded my questions and requests for six months. Oscar was so helpful and patient with his time as well. They went above and beyond in helping me show my guests a good time. Everyone at the hotel is beyond nice - Ivan the bellman is a total gem. The breakfast is amazing and we happily gathered as a group to nosh every morning. I truly cannot say nicer things about both the staff at the hotel and the experience. Highly recommend for any group looking to stay together and have a flawless experience. On the Saturday afternoon, they had an ice cream cart in the lobby. They have outdone themselves!

Yelp
The service is great and the rooms are spacious and quiet. However the Covid test arranged by the hotel was terrible. First of all, it was $50USD, easily double the price of anywhere outside. But for convenience I was willing to pay for the service. I took my test at 8am and the paperwork had my name and DOB incorrect. I informed the lab tech who fixed it on the document but when I received my test 2 hours later, it was still incorrect. I emailed them back what needed to be fixed but their response was that they required a photo of my passport which I did not have at the time (shortly after I went back to the hotel to email a photo to the Covid lab without a response from them). I called Sofitel concierge and spoke to them a total of 3 times, even once in person to have this fixed before my 3pm departure for my flight. I got the corrected Covid results at 2:30pm. My flight is at 6:30pm. Was my stay here enjoyable? Somewhat. If I wasn't stressed out the entire last day of my trip, I might've enjoyed it more. The staff is very nice, everybody speaks English and is more than happy to help, but I expected more from a high end luxury hotel in terms of coordinating services for their guests.

Scott S.

Yelp
A great experience and very comfortable stay! Top notch amenities and impeccable service across the board. Checking in was a breeze, and Diana was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the club on the 36th floor...Club Mellesime. The food and drinks were excellent and the staff were incredible. I would like to highlight the following people for their excellent service and care: Luis, Frida, Natalia, Laura, Santiago, Linnet, Shannon, Sara, Jany Vega, and José Manuel. Thank you.

Jean O.

Yelp
I stayed at the Sofitel over New Years and had the best experience. If I could give more than 5 Stars I would. Every aspect of my stay was amazing, but what really pushed it above and beyond was their Club Millesime. Everything from the food, to the drinks, to the staff was incredible. The club supervisor Natalia takes time to come over and greet you and even remembers you name when you return the following days, she oversees a great team that were all so friendly & attentive. Frida makes the best Carajillo's. If you're in Mexico City you should definitely stay here and make sure to visit Club Millesime.

Yelp
Excellent stay. Highly recommend. If you are arriving from the airport you can request to get picked up I believe the cost is around $50 USD. You are immediately greeted and have to go through a series of cleaning protocols like getting your temperature taken and cleaning your shoes and hand sanitizing. Front desk is very helpful. I would suggest to book the pool and the gym ahead of time because they will be booked when you get there. The hotel is very clean the staff is very attentive. I ordered room service several times the food is delicious. Overall I gave this hotel a 10 out of 10 I would highly recommend staying here if you ever visit Mexico City.

Yelp
The attention to detail was unparalleled. I felt like I was on a vacation while on my vacation. The staff went out their way to welcome and assist me during my stay. The space is also beautiful and in a safe part of the city.

Yelp
Excellent stay! Great views and the pool was amazing! I normally stay in Polanco but this time I wanted to stay in Reforma. It's near everything and the traffic noise was non-existent thanks to the high rise. Loved it!

Yelp
Oh wow. Yes. This is the place. Hospitality and service is tops, the food is incredible. Went to Balta several times in 2 days, great price for food that is delicious artwork). Every single employee was educated and considerate. When I was trying to ask questions and book the room, we kept losing signal and the hotel called me back each time until we were set. Modern, clean, incredible attention to detail. And great discounts from the regular rate (just ask). I'll Be back.

Yelp
Clean, great customer service and in a central area. I'll be back ! Higher floors are better so you can see the city, rooms can be larger but we understand the real state costs.

Yelp
This was an incredibly clean with an immaculate service driven hotel. Extremely well managed and a fabulous experience. The location is in one of the most beautiful streets of Mexico City (Reforma) , close proximity to great restaurants and walkable to parks and different neighborhoods. Highly recommended.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Shout out to the staff and their hard work. They have really implemented great procedures to protect us all from covid. They make sure you are the most comfortable and feel the most important. The spa is amazing and we had some great pampering I would recommend staying here. It's a great spot with great amenities. Thank you for a great stay

Yelp
First time in Mexico City and this hotel is awesome! Breakfast was ok, no fresh eggs but juices are plentiful. If your planning to visit the Pyramid (Teotihuacan ), DO NOT USE the hotel transport option. This is overpriced by about 400%. Use "BlueBus", that shuttles you too and from the Pyramid for around $62.00 USD. No Spanish, no problem! It is literally across the street near the angel in the roundabout. The hotel concierge quoted us $240 USD. As nice a stay as the hotel provides, it doesn't build confidence to get ripped off by a concierge when the Bluebus will safely take you fed or 25% of that cost (and surely they are aware of this fact).

Yelp
My husband and I spent 5 days in Mexico City to celebrate his 40th birthday. We have been to Tulum, Cancun, Cozumel and Playa( you know all of the resort towns) and were looking for a different experience. So we settled on Mexico City. Not too far away, fun, vibrant, diverse and bursting at the seems with culture and flare. If you are looking for something different, Mexico City is definitely a place to go. But enough about the town, this review is for the hotel. We stayed at the Sofitel Mexico City Reforma and it did not disappoint. We have stayed at many luxury hotels in many different cities and this one was second to none. It started off about 2 weeks prior to our stay when the staff reached out to see if they could help us plan our trip. They sent me an offering of ideas to decorate the room for my husband upon our arrival, booked our airport transportation, booked a Hot Air Balloon Ride, A full day trip to Xochimilco complete with a tour guide and not to mention got us reservations at some of the hottest restaurants in Mexico City that had told us they were booked. From our first day Marla, Luis, Arturo and Ricardo went out of their way to make our stay amazing. Ricardo gave us an amazing Tequila tasting right there in the lobby bar and provided so much information about the tequila and the region. He and Marla even sent us home with drink recipes to try at home! Arturo came through with the dinner reservations every day and the private tour with Roberto, which was amazing. With Roberto, we were able to explore Xochimilco like locals. We visited a local market and ate with the locals, rode a Coyoacán and visited the Frida Kahlo Museum. We booked through AMEX fine hotels which provided us with some additional amenities that made the experience even better. Sofitel Mexico City Reforma is a must when in Mexico city, I'd give it a 10 out 10!!!

Yelp
It's been a little less than six months since our stay at Sofitel Mexico City Reforma and hardly a day goes where I don't reflect on that trip. Beyond that, at least weekly, my wife and I speak fondly of that trip and a lot of that discussion comes down to our stay at the Sofitel Reforma and the impeccable care we received from the team there. After getting married in 2017, my wife and delayed our honeymoon. Then delayed it again. And then COVID delayed it for us. As we were approaching our five year anniversary, we knew now was the time. After researching options in Mexico City, the Sofitel Reforma kept showing up so we had high expectations when we booked, but all of those expectations were blown away. We booked a suite on the club level and ultimately upgraded to a terrace suite. Our room was roomy, comfortable, and served as a wonderful home during our time there. Not only did we have a great room and outdoor space, but the view of the Angel was amazing. We spent nearly every night ending the trip with a glass of wine overlooking the city. The big reason I'm taking the time to write this review is because the staff at Sofitel Reforma are some of the best in the world. In particular, the team that supports the Club Level (Maria Jose, Maria Gadoy, and Santiago Diez) made the stay unforgettable. We spent many evenings and mornings reading in the hotel club relaxing with wine and beer and snacks. It felt like home. The staff was always friendly, but on the last day they surprised us with bookmarks from Mexico City and a very personalized letter about our stay with them. Before we left we had to make sure to say goodbye because somehow in the course of only a few days, they felt like good friends. Beyond the awesome Club Level, the restaurants in the hotel were fantastic. We had multiple meals inside the restaurant and loved each of them (we also of course adventured out, but in a city of great foot, the hotel restaurants hold up VERY well). The pool level was also great. I could go on and on and on. I can't wait to come back. And I can't wait to stay at the Sofitel Mexico City Reforma again.

Yelp
Location 10/10 Staff service 10/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Concierge: 10/10 Absolutely adore this modern chic hotel in the heart of la reforma. HOWEVER - disclaimer - the beds are so hard you'll wake up with back pain. Incredible hotel, with a very painful bed. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Had a long stay over the holidays and the staff made it an amazing experience. The staff is world class and made me really feel at home. There was no limit to their hospitality. Pedro Ramirez and Uriel Aguirre greeted us with a warm smile everyday and would go out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. Down at Balta the stay prepared amazing breakfast daily and paid extra attention if there were any substitutions and or additions. Highly recommend the food there and would like to recognize Fernanda Tapia, Ximena Hernandez, and Karla Belmont for their hospitality and all the little things they did to make this a memorable stay. Made great memories at the lounge and had some delicious snacks and treats. If you stop by Maria, Natalia and Santiago will take extra good care of you. Will definitely return and highly recommend this to everyone.

Yelp
This was my second month long stay here and it was absolutely amazing thanks to the kindness and generosity I received from hotel staff. It was my first time visiting Club Millesime on the 36th floor and it provided the perfect atmosphere to relax away enjoy a drink . Maria, Santiago and Jany and Fernanda provided a level of service and attentiveness far exceeding my expectations. Club Millesime staff and the guest relations manager Jose made my stay extremely special. I cannot wait to return to the this hotel so I can see these wonderful people again. It was an awesome experience. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
First time to Mexico City from California. The staff and accomodations here are 2nd to none. The rooms are well designed, modern and beautiful. The staff from the door men, front desk, and restaurants make you feel so welcome. The concierge team are worthy of presidential administration (especially considering my requests and needs: 1- not speaking spanish, 2 - arranging covid testing on a holiday, 3 - making sure we had all the options to stay entertained in an unknown city). I will be coming here again and look forward to experiencing other hotels with this company. Oh and their swimming pool is amazing.

Yelp
My two friends and I voted in the United States and quickly fled to Mexico City to watch the aftermath from afar. I stayed at Sofitel Mexico City Reforma for seven nights and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while exploring Mexico City. They make every effort to keep their guests and staff heathy and safe, including wearing masks at all times, taking your temperature every time that you enter the hotel, encouraging you to use hand sanitizer, and cleansing the soles of your shoes in a disinfectant. Mexico City is doing a significantly better job of keeping its citizens and visitors safe than many cities and towns in the United States. In addition, instead of closing their Fitness Center, they offer one-hour reservations to those who would like to work out during their visit. Oh, and the hotel is located directly next to the American Embassy. The views from my room and the Fitness Center were spectacular, especially at sunset. Speaking of the Fitness Center, it is small, but the cardiac equipment (three treadmills, one elliptical, one rowing machine, and one bike) and weights (two sets of barbells, one set of kettlebells, and a high-tech nautilus) are new(er). While we didn't truly dine in either of the hotel's two restaurants, Bajel or Balta, I did have a drink at both Balta and Cityzen, their rooftop bar. In addition, we ordered a light breakfast twice from room service. The spectacular views from Cityzen on the 38th floor easily justify the inflated drink prices. The best part of staying at Sofitel Mexico City Reforma is the customer service. The staff makes every effort to accommodate your requests. While they typically offer Fitness Center reservations from the late morning to the early evening, they accommodated our request to work out in the early morning. In addition, they made change for me daily and brought glasses and ice to my room daily for "happy hour" with my friends. I would definitely consider staying at Sofitel Mexico City Reforma in the future. You cannot beat the views and the customer service.

Yelp
Wow! No words to describe how amazing the views are from this hotel. The Citizen bar should be on top of your list of places to visit!

Yelp
Great modern new hotel in the heart of the Polanco area. I was told its only been opened about 2 months. Hotel is a quick uber ride to most tourist points. Rooms are great, the views from the entire room are fantastic. The staff is excellent. Very attentive! The bar on the 38th floor was cool. The music was a bit loud still enjoyable. Great experience in Mexico city.

Yelp
Good hotel, but went to the terrace restaurant, they took some precautions regarding COVID-19, but the place was still quite crowded and there wasn't enough distance between a lot of the tables that were being occupied.

Yelp
Magnificent hotel. Great location, fantastic views of the Reforma area and beyond. Staff knowlegable, helpful and speak 3 languages. Amenities are all there for a luxury hotel.
