Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor

We loved our 2 night stay at the Winter palace. Staff was amazing-so friendly and helpful!!! We loved the garden and pool. Breakfast outstanding! Don’t miss the tour of the royal suite and balcony. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Beautiful Luxor!

From the moment we arrived the service and overall quality of our stay was exceptional. Every single member of the team, be they working in reception, to tending the garden, or serving food, were without exception, courteous, friendly and committed to making guests feel special, with nothing being too much trouble. The food was outstanding, the location breathtaking and our stay will be a memory for life. Thank you!

The hotel is great . The room where I stayed was a bit outdated tho big and beautiful. My biggest issue with the hotel was how bad their restaurants . I ate dinner in 2 of their three restaurants. The barbecue 🍖 was awful and dry in the barbecue restaurant. It should have been their signature dish Their international Resturant was even worse . The fish was so fishy like it was caught 10 days ago and the rest of the food was mediocre at best The breakfast on the other hand was very good .

A true 5 star experience Make sure to stay at the palace as it’s worth the money. Most of the staff have been here over a decade, they live to see you happy and genuinely love their jobs. It’s a safe bet to stay here in crazy Egypt. Away from hustle but close enough to all the temples:tombs and culture. Favourite hotel in Egypt.

Although we only stayed one night, everything was fine. We were moved to a river view room with a balcony. The room was great and the service was great. It was very photogenic and we could see peacocks and white flamingos. The location was great and felt very safe.

We stayed at the Winter Palace for 2 nights (including New Years Eve) - Half Board package. Whilst I knew that we had paid for the NYE supplement, I was completely unaware of what the NYE package included - what a nice surprise when we checked in. We were provided with a seating plan and itinerary for evening events and six course menu. We had an amazing evening of canapes, drinks, entertainment (and fire works) and fine dining.|The hotel/rooms/garden were true to its history and charm. I certainly did not expect to see Flamingos and Peacocks in the garden.|My only comment for continuous improvement would be in relation to what restaurants are available to guests who book the half board package ie. let people know prior, which restaurants they can book into (not all are available).

Staff was very helpful and nice, breakfast amazing, rooms lovely and pool fantastic! It’s a hotel with a lot of history and it takes you on a journey back in time. Gardens are very lush as well
