City Shuts Down Uptown Nightclub Whose Owner Once Tried to Bribe De Blasio | Eater NY

"After six years delayed by landmark laws, Nasim Alikhani finally opened a new Persian restaurant in Prospect Heights; I view Sofreh as the kind of place that breaks the mold by offering a fresh take on Persian cuisine in a sleek, contemporary environment, a judgment voiced by Iranian writer Sai Mokhtari." - Stefanie Tuder

My new fav lunch spot! My partner and I tried the kabob combo and the tahchin plate. The seasonings really made all of the food flavorful and everything was cooked perfectly as well, juicy chicken and beef and perfect crust on the “quiche”. Their hummus was GREAT, not like common hummus. Try to guess the flavors! We also got a cappuccino, espresso and Thai tea. All 10/10! The atmosphere is super cozy and welcoming and the staff were very helpful with explaining the dishes, since it was our first time. The soup was not ready yet by the time we got there, but it was ready by the time we were leaving and I got some to go, since all the other dishes I had were great. Definitely recommend for a healthy and flavorful meal ☺️

Sofreh Eatery is an absolute gem in the Green Bay area! I had the Kabob Combo, and it was beyond delicious — the beef and chicken were perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of authentic Persian flavor. The rice and sides tied everything together beautifully. I also had a motcha latte that was rich and smooth — honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The owner, Mr. Hadi, and his daughter were both there, and their kindness and professionalism made the experience unforgettable. They truly care about their customers, greeting everyone warmly and ensuring every detail is perfect. You can feel the love and pride that goes into both their food and their service. If you’re anywhere near Green Bay or De Pere, you owe it to yourself to stop by Sofreh Eatery. Incredible food, amazing people, and outstanding hospitality — this place deserves to be packed every night!

Sofreh is exactly what the De Pere area needed! There’s nothing like it around. The chicken, beef kabobs, and cucumber dip are absolutely incredible. Probably the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The service was amazing too. We were checked on frequently and greeted warmly when we arrived and when we left. I would definitely recommend this place!

It was my first time trying Persian food, and it did not disappoint 😊! When I first came in, I explained it was my first time trying out this place. The man there kindly told my friend and I that we could either have table service or simply order to go. I got the Kabob combo (in the pics, the plate with rice!), I believe my friend got the Tahchin. The food was wonderful ❤️ so simple, yet flavorful and refreshing. Our waitress was also very nice and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. I’m a pretty nervous and shy person, but the service was very kind and patient with me. Big thank you to the hard-working staff here for the experience. 🫶

Our family of five had lunch at Sofreh today. A few had kabobs, one a sandwich, and one the tuna bowl. All were delicious and very fresh. The tuna bowl, in particular, was outstanding! A nice combination of flavors and foods in the bowl. The boba teas were also very good. Service was attentive and the wait for food was acceptable. The space is welcoming and very clean. We will return!

Nice, convenient little spot in downtown De Pere. Wasn't too busy on a Thursday, good vibes, and quick turnaround time, and I am a fiend for some good Mediterranean or Persian fare. The coffee comes in these funny looking insulated mugs! Pictured: half-plate of the kebab koobideh.

First time trying and it's delicious! Server was kind and helpful. Chef came and answered our questions about the herbs in the beef sausage and chicken kabob. Cucumber dip was also wonderful.

Absolutely loved my experience at this Persian restaurant! The food was authentic and bursting with flavor. I ordered the Kubideh Kabab, and it was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The saffron rice was fragrant and fluffy, complementing the kabab beautifully. I also had their Persian tea, which was aromatic and served traditionally, adding to the cozy and cultural experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly hospitable. If you’re craving delicious, authentic Persian food, this place is a must-visit! 5 stars all the way!

Yelp
Amazing food, such kind people, and such a cute place to grab lunch. I have been here twice and I would definitely come here again.

Yelp
Came here for a short lunch break while staying about a block away at the Kress Inn. It was perfect for when you're tight on time! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! Portions and prices were great. The ambience was relaxing; loved the music they were playing, helped me destress from work. And it was probably the healthiest food we were able to find within walking distance! My husband and I shared the combo plate and the strawberry balsamic salad. I got a house latte... so good! I love cardamom in coffee! And my husband got a mango smoothie. The chicken on the combo plate was perfectly cooked and juicy! The beef was good too, but I think the chicken was my favorite. Loved the Tzatziki sauce on both! Everything was delicious. We cleaned our plates. I'd order all of it again! If you need a break from fried cheese logs/balls, this is an excellent choice!

Yelp
The Persian gentleman who owns it is so nice. I want to try something else but im addicted to the beef kabob. It's enough for two. Absolutely delicious

Yelp
Delicious food, caring owner. Highly recommend this small family owned business. We ordered the large meat with different meats... quite delicious!

Yelp
That beef kebab plate was quite a surprise. I was hoping it was going to be decent but it knocked my socks off. Hope the word gets out. This spot for a restaurant is cursed. Let's hope they break the curse. I think I'll be eating here 2-3 times per month. Not sure how I will ever try something besides the beef kebab plate as it is just too good.

Yelp
This is a fantastic place. Food served with lots of flavor and hot to your table. Nice vibe to get a window table and enjoy what's happening or grab a table on the patio.

Yelp
So happy we grabbed dinner here. Kabobs are cooked to order and plated beautifully. Husband had the sausage and potato sandwich and it was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. Lots of gluten free options. Staff and owners were very friendly! We'll be back and are recommending it to everyone!
