What great place to visit on a summer day! My grandsons loved it and so did we! Sit inside or out while enjoying your sweet treat. Plenty of choices! Who remembers the brick building across the street once being Sears & Roebuck in the 70's? Being in that area enjoying soft serve really brought the memories of a simpler time. Go check it out!

Soft Landing is such an accurate name😊. It has become my family’s go to spot for soft ice cream(I may be addicted to the potato chip brittle🫣). ALL of our experiences here have been great and we rave to everyone about how delicious the ice cream is. I look forward to Soft Landing being a staple in our family for years and years to come.

There is absolutely NO PARKING. Love the fact that it’s soft serve. Don’t like the fact that they don’t give samples which kept me from having the black berry and hazelnut. The bill was pricey for what we got. Don’t know that we will be back.

So yummy! They use clean and local ingredients, which makes me SO happy. It's the cutest spot. They even have clean snack options! Absolutely a must try.

Had a hot fudge sundae with all the fixings with a cherry on top. Staff was super friendly and helped with getting me familiar with how all the choices worked. Delicious!!

My daughter prefers soft serve over scooped so we were pretty excited when we saw this new soft serve option. We got the sweet cream chocolate twist, hers with sprinkles and cookie topping and mine with potato chip brittle. Wasn't a fan of the brittle but the ice cream was very creamy and delicious. Staff was super friendly!

Where do I start; the crowd? The beautiful interior design? The wonderful staff? To save time and space, you will never find better soft serve ice cream on the planet! Usually get waffle bowl with regular size sweet cream and chocolate swirl with dark chocolate sprinkles and candied walnut toppings…

The sift serve was delicious and creamy. Bit on the higher end for price, especially if you want toppings which are priced around $1 per topping. Only two parking spots. Cute little store though!

What amazing toppings. I tried the potato chip brittle, the sweet nuts, and the waffle chocolate crisp on my soft serve. I am truly impressed and the peach and chocolate soft serves were outstanding. As I'm visiting from Seattle, I wish we had more soft serve like this. I am transported to summer, being a 10 year old kid, riding bikes, reading a pile of books, and waiting for the 4th. Soft landing gives me this vibe. Also, great service and really good prices. Seattle is super expensive and I enjoy trying to blend in as a local.

It's been a few months since I last came in. I have been wanting to try some of their dairy free options that they've had but never made it in. Today I stopped in for a gift card for a little client of mine. Might as well kill two birds with one stone and grab myself a little treat too. They had great options today. Wild berry, sweet cream, chocolate and another option that I can't seem to remember. Their dairy free option was caramel today. The wild better sounded devine. And you can't go wrong with chocolate! But, I'm trying to stay away from dairy so caramel was my choice today. I got myself a small caramel and a gift card. The gal that was helping me today wasn't rude but wasn't nice, she was just there. She asked me my basic questions. What size? What flavor? Any toppings? Anything else? It was such a different experience from the first time when I came in. The caramel flavor was good. It didn't really taste like caramel to me but it was still tasty. Considering there was no dairy in it, it was pretty impressive. I didn't add any fun toppings this time around but I'll have to add some next time! They have quite a few to pick from! Regardless of my interaction today with the gal working behind the counter today, I still adore this shop. I also appreciate that they push out such great frozen yogurt. I need to come more often before summer ends. I have let too many flavors slip through the cracks. And ice cream always adds happiness to my day. Looking forward to see that their next non dairy flavor will be!

This place is very small and cute, but I'd honestly rate it a 3.5. I drove around three times trying to figure out where to park. The signs on the side streets were super confusing and I couldn't understand them. The parking lot was closed off coming in from 12th, I guess it was only able to get into it from the side road, but it was single lane and very narrow. I had no idea if that was the entry to the parking lot or not so I didn't even try. It literally had two spots so I didn't try. One spot was taken and there was a handicap I could have parked in. An older entitled man came and parked in the spot between the handicap spot and the normal spot. The marked off area. The ice cream itself is ok. Nothing that I would want to bother myself with trying to try to find parking with again. The service was good. As soon as I walked in I was asked if I needed any help or wanted to sample anything. I didn't get a chance to look at the menu yet, but it is awesome that they allow you to sample things. I had a twist of sweet cream and chocolate. Small. Fudge and peanut brittle chips. She definitely loaded the small cup up. I had three chips in the cup. The total was under $7, but over $6. I probably wouldn't come back here just because I hate trying to figure out where will I park. I had to park near the fanci freeze. I'm not against walking, I just hate trying to figure out where I'm supposed to park.

Stopped here for a sweet treat and it was pretty good! The inside was super cute with bright tile and a family friendly atmosphere. They had a limited selection of flavors and toppings making it a simple ice cream spot, which I appreciated. We got the sweet cream ice cream with brownie bites and sprinkles. Very creamy ice cream and the brownie bites were yummy! It didn't blowww me away but would come here again to satisfy a soft serve craving!

Best soft serve in Boise! Went an hour before closing and there was a good amount of people out. The staff were helpful in answering any questions I had. The place itself had mix of pastel colors and checkered tiles, with seating inside - very clean! The prices are reasonably too - a mini was $4 and the staff let me choose 2 flavors. The ice cream was smooth and creamy! Heard they change out the flavors each week so would def come back to try new flavors.

Cute trendy vibe ice cream shop. I will say parking is not the best but it's worth the walk. Service was friendly and helpful. Variety of choices to pick from but not overwhelming. Bonus: it's across the street from our favorite donut shop (DKDonuts). Plenty of space to sit inside or outside. Come give them a try. Worth it.

In town for work and am happily doing an ice cream tour while I'm here. I was excited that Soft Landing had both vegan icecream as well as a vegan gluten free cone for me to try. Both were delicious, as well as the super yummy potato chip brittle I got on top. The huckleberry sorbet was delicious, I really appreciated that it wasn't too sweet. The cone was also great, having a bit more of a cinnamon sugar taste than the usual vanilla cone I'm used to. The service was great. Nice and fast and friendly. I didn't stay to eat but there were some nice seats both inside and outside and a decent ambiance minus the busy street it's connected to.

This soft serve was PERFECT. So so good. I love that the flavors change every week too. I think the location is perfect to serve downtown/Hyde Park as the weather warms up. We parked around the corner and walked over and it was really easy to enjoy our treats in the sunshine. Service was quick and friendly too. We love frozen yogurt in our family so it's nice to be able to hit pause on that and have some authentic soft serve instead.

Amazing crunchy ice cream! Not only does it taste amazing but it is made without harmful ingredients so you can enjoy a sweet treat without the terrible dyes and artificial junk! The store is super aesthetic and clean. The menu is simple yet fun. And the wait staff are all super nice and welcoming. 10/10 recommend! I want to see more businesses like this! They are doing everything right!

If you've had a Wendy's soft serve, then you've had this--only this one is 70% smaller and more expensive. The staff was nice enough, but I just dropped $32 and still had to tip. I think the specialty ice cream, cookie, and dessert market is getting a little lofty. I guess I expected more for such a steep price, but I got less. No offense--just my observation

While it's a limited menu, everything we have had is first rate! Friendly servers, and it has been busy at all hours, especially in the evening. The variety of toppings is impressive.

Best ice cream in the valley! I feel like Boise is chock full of traditional hard-pack ice cream shops but soft serve and frozen yogurt is hard to find. No longer! Soft Landing just opened on State Street across from DK donuts and it's the best ice cream I've ever tasted (and I've tasted a lot.) Today was opening day and I found my way in. They have five flavors: four dairy and one vegan. The dairy were sweet cream, chocolate, cereal milk, and blueberry, along with a sorbet blood orange. Each one was bursting with flavors with a velvety, creamy texture. It wasn't icy at all or super rich which allowed the flavor to shine. They have a bunch of fun toppings including potato chips and other non traditional things. Portions were reasonable for the price and they can do a cone or cup. Along with ice cream they have a full espresso bar with great coffee so you can get an affogato or a latte along with your cereal milk ice cream. That's breakfast, right? Service was fast and incredibly friendly. The space is bright and clean and would be perfect for a hang with friends or family. The parking lot is teeny tiny but you can park along State or 14th. Definitely give this place a try. It's amazing!

The soft serve was delicious. I love how the old service station has been transformed. It's such a cute retro styled shop. Parking could be tricky on a busy day

We've visited twice and the ice cream is fantastic... delicious, and smooth. Someone wanting a cheap/huge serving of bad ingredient ice cream won't like it here. Anyone that wants really good ice cream without all the guilt of being unhealthy, and willing to pay a few dollars more, then this is the right spot. The ice cream sandwiches are top notch as well. The customer service was also great, both times, lots of smiles.

The staff was Super nice but the ice cream was pretty much flavorless. I got the peach and my wife got the chocolate, both had very little flavor and a funky aftertaste. We both dumped half our cups, not worth the calories.

This place is amazing! I definitely wanna work here! Love they use local ingredients and don't use high fructose corn syrup or dyes! Nice to have a health conciuse ice cream shop near me!

I this new sweet spot!!! The soft serve is delicious! Some of the best I've had! Also so wonderful to see the owner, Katie, there behind the counter. I highly recommend you go NOW!!!!

Me and my aunt just tried this place for the first time when she picked me up from the airport for my annual visit and we were really glad we did. The ice cream is really tasty and smooth, just as soft serve should be. There's so many options to choose from you could be there for hours if you can't make up your mind LOL. You can also take some of their ice cream home in small amounts, and they even have ice cream sandwiches in the "fancy" flavors. The servers are super friendly and don't rush you at all. The place is nice and clean and has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors for lots of families. I've only been to two ice cream parlors in Boise so far (can't remember the other one) but nevertheless I would definitely recommend this place in a heartbeat!! Perfect for those hot summer days!!

Very cute place. The gals that took our order were pleasant and attentive. The soft serve is pillowy soft and just the right amount of sweet.

Wow! I was very impressed with soft landing's soft serve ice cream. This will be my go-to sweet treat place in the valley. I devoured a sweet cream sundae with caramel sauce and potato chip brittle served in a waffle bowl. I left no crumbs.

This place was adorable! Super fresh, clean tasting soft serve with simple toppings that were free of artificial food dyes and all the icky stuff us crunchy moms try to avoid. To my surprise they had GLUTEN FREE WAFFLE CONES!!! I was so excited! I got a sweet cream and chocolate twist with sprinkles, one daughter got hazelnut in a cup and the other a sweet cream and chocolate twist. Delightful! We will be coming back again! New fave spot!

Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Happened to be downtown so decided to stop by- sooo happy we didn't make a special trip downtown for this! The ice cream was good, but nothing to write home about. They had 6 toppings only, and I wasn't that excited about any of them. My son ordered a regular and immediately commented, wow that's not very much ice cream. For the price, it would be nice if they were generous. Only two parking spaces, and not abundant street parking close by. Unfortunately we will not be coming back. However, for those who have specific dietary needs, I can see that this would be a spot worth making an effort to go to.

The blood orange sorbet had great flavor. Fun vibe & atmosphere. Friendly customer service. Try the newest treats in town!

Finally a healthier alternative to Soft serve ice cream (try the chocolate and strawberry) but taste amazing. Heard about this place from a regenerative dentist. Real ingredients, no dyes and they have Gf toppings that taste incredible. My kids loved it!

fanci freez is better! bad location poor ambiance, bad people and bad product................................................
