Our stay at the SoHo hotel was unforgettable!! We went to celebrate my fiancés birthday and we were surprised with complimentary balloons, cupcakes and macarons. The effort put in from the concierge team and staff on site, is above and beyond what we ever imagined. Each and every staff member will greet you with a friendly smile to make you feel so welcomed. The rooms itself are spacious and clean! It was definitely a nice bonus having heated flooring. The location is great, close to many restaurants within walking distance. As fellow torontonians, we will definitely come back to this hotel for future local getaways!!

We had a very unpleasant experience during our stay, mainly due to the poor service attitude at the front desk, not the other staff members. First of all, the phone in our room was broken, which meant we couldn’t contact the front desk directly. Just to request an extra blanket, we had to go down to the front desk three times. On the first night, after our initial request, we waited a long time and no one brought anything. We went to the front desk again, and although the staff clearly knew we were asking for a blanket, they did nothing for over an hour. In the end, we were given only a rough, itchy blanket that was impossible to use due to how uncomfortable it was. Additionally, the bath towels provided in the room were dirty, which was unacceptable and unhygienic. The next day, I went to the front desk again to request a proper blanket. This time, the staff repeatedly emphasized that “each room is only allowed one blanket” and said they could only give us another throw, something they had never explained beforehand. We had clearly stated that we were allergic to the material of the throw blankets, but there was no empathy or willingness to help. Throughout the entire process, the front desk staff had an extremely unwelcoming attitude and unfriendly expressions, which made us feel completely dismissed. To be fair, the staff who delivered the blankets and the technician who came to fix the phone were polite and friendly, and their professionalism brought us a small sense of comfort. However, the overall stay was still heavily affected by the poor service from the front desk. Considering that all of this happened in a room that costs CAD 550 per night, it was extremely disappointing. We would not choose to stay here again, and we do not recommend this place to other travelers.

Our recent stay at The Soho Hotel Toronto was exceptional, largely thanks to the outstanding service from the front desk and concierge. Their team is second to none, consistently demonstrating genuine friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism. They truly made our stay feel personalized and amazing. The accommodations themselves were superb: our room was remarkably spacious and spotless, and the bathrooms were a highlight of luxury. We particularly appreciated the concierge's attention to detail, as he set up our room in a way that surpassed our expectations, contributing significantly to an unforgettable experience. For anyone seeking the best hotel in Toronto, The Soho Hotel is it – we can't wait to return for another night out downtown.

I really liked the SoHo and would definitely stay there again. It was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The best part was the bathroom, It was so well designed, I wanted to take it home. There was ample storage space and I like that the safe was on the wall instead of in the closet, it was easier to access and more convenient.

Google
DO NOT BOOK SOHO HOTEL! When we stayed here the temperature in the city was over 30°C and they couldn't get the air conditioning working in our room. It was so hot that we couldn't sleep, and we also had to pay for a separate office since this made it impossible to work in the room. We spoke to other people that we met and they were having a similar experience - how can a supposedly "high end" hotel not provide a basic service such as AC in the middle of summer. I would only recommend a stay at the SoHo(t) Hotel to those that are looking to acquire a fresh case of heat stroke.

I wanted to take a moment to share the fantastic experience my husband and I had during our recent stay at Soho Hotel Toronto. From start to finish, the service from all the staff was nothing short of exceptional. They truly went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday special! The location of the hotel is absolutely ideal! We loved that it was within walking distance to Union Station and just a stone's throw from the Rogers Centre. Plus, being so close to a variety of restaurants was incredibly convenient. I must also mention the bathroom was a standout - the products from Molton Brown were simply the best! Thank you once again for providing such a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning in the future.

There were so many highlights to our 10 night stay. The Concierge was first class arranging ground transport before we had even left home to travel to Toronto. Xavier and his team were always available to answer our questions and always with patience and grace for questions that they had more than likely answered at least 1,000 before. Additionally, the reception was quite responsive in acknowledging a maintenance issue and offering me not one but two solutions to address the issue. The housekeeping staff were also excellent and the level of cleanliness was high. Overall we were happy with our choice and would return to Soho Residences.

Yelp
This hotel is one of a kind and close to everything downtown Toronto. We stayed in a king executive suite with a separate living area and walk in closet, it was huge! The bathroom was beautiful with a tub and shower as well as heated floors, the heated floor was amazing. All the little amenities from the nespresso coffee to slippers to a bathrobe were a nice touch. They even had automatic blinds that close and open with the push of a button. With the click of a button you turn on do not disturb, no more placing a paper sign on the door. The soft king bed was so comfortable to sleep in. The suites are such a big size and overall such a luxurious and beautiful room. We did not use the pool or restaurant, but it looked great and the staff were very friendly. Overall a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay again.

Yelp
Wow, did we like this hotel. The room and especially the bathroom was huge. Not only was the bathroom big, it was really nice. The room was nice too, but the bathroom really stood out. The hotel also had a good size gym with a good amount of equipment. I hate when a hotel says they have a gym and all they have is an elliptical machine and one cable station. The staff was also really nice. They woman who checked us in was friendly and the information people helped us look up things in Toronto. The hotel is also really close to the CN tower and the aquarium. Lots of restaurants near by too. I got a good deal on hotwire and would stay here again.

Yelp
Short Review: THE best boutique hotel and one of the best overall hotels I've stayed in around the world. Great attention to detail - both in-room and customer focused. Rooms are spacious and high end; bar/restaurants are really good. Great downtown location where you can walk to everything. Next time I'm in Toronto, I'll stay here for sure. Long Review: Just the name alone gave me an indication that this was going to be a nice hotel, but I had no idea how great the experience would be. I travel every month - both for business and pleasure, so I've seen a lot of hotels and had good and bad stays. I can honestly say this is one of the best experiences I've had. First off, when you enter the lobby, you are greeted by at least one if not two people who are holding the door for you. As you walk out, they open the door automatically for you as well. The lobby is spacious and not overly crowded with big furniture taking up space and begging for noisy crowds to get in the way of your check in. There are two restaurants on either side, both serving different types of food (one comfort, one Chinese) and they have a full bar/lounge in one of them. The rooms exceed expectations; the SOHO really left no detail out. They are spacious, and provide a little office space and a little comfort space, so depending what your needs are you're covered. I did have a junior suite, so let me caveat this review by saying that. The bathrooms feature walk-in space, and separate spaces for up to 3 people. They even provide you a chair to sit in while getting dressed. There is also a safe to store your valuables. Once through the closet, the bathroom felt like I was in a luxury spa: marble tile, heated floors, big fluffy towels, robes and slippers, a vanity mirror, and Molton Brown toiletries!!! The shower and tub were amazing too. Oh, did I mention the heated floors??!! Near the nightstand is a little control center for everything in the room: lights for every separate section of the room and electric drapes! Every hotel has the crazy alarm clock, but this one comes with stereo speakers that are wi-fi connected to the speaker in the bathroom ceiling so you can get your music while you pretty up. The bed is so comfortable and they give you 4 pillows, each with a slightly different level of thickness so you can choose what you like...while you watch the 55" wall-mounted TV they provide! The in-room bar is not just some puny little thing tucked away in the corner. They give you full 750ml bottles of bourbon and vodka, and supply the soda and juice mixers for each. There are also generously-sized snacks as well. Under the bar is a mini-fridge with a plethora of the sample liquors and additional mixers as well. In the late afternoon, there is turn-down service for each room. The basically clean your whole room again, and of course draw the drapes, provide fresh towels, and fill your ice bucket with ice, etc. Its actually very nice. So, how highly do I recommend this hotel? Well let's just say that of all the places I've stayed around the world, this place, for me, is 2nd for in-room amenities and comfort, and 3rd for overall hotel experience.

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin. Heated floors, outstanding staff, superb (and beyond knowledgeable) concierge, prime location, cleaning services to the nine... Shit. I may move in here! Coming from California and staying for 9 nights, we really debated paying this much. It was just upwards of $300 a night. But seriously, I don't give a shit. This is the BEST hotel we've ever stayed at. If you want Shangri-La service at a price that won't have you eating poutine from McDonalds, then SoHo is a SoGo. I could rant and rave for hours. So much so that we will most likely put in a bathroom option similar to theirs. Additional perks: free wifi, gym, pool, deck, and I swear you'll love this the most.. They open the doors electronically for you. Seriously. Someone has a remote and watches the door. My own mother never watched me that close. It's awesome. I now have to never punch the handicap button out of pure laziness and shame. Fucking YES!

Yelp
My first visit to Toronto couldn't have been more exquisite: they are dog friendly! Had I known, I would've brought my pup and I would've had to give them 10 stars. They're extremely hospitable whilst being eco. Wanted to hook up my laptop to their big screen tv and the technician came to my room and showed me every function. Remote controlled drapes AND lights from your bed, heated bathroom floors, frette sheets n towels, molton brown products, and very attentive and friendly staff. And yes, lovely to animals, two legged and four.

Yelp
I was really pleased with this hotel booking and stay. I made the reservation because we have a Venture card and receive 10 x points with Hotels.com This hotel seemed walkable and accessible to the city's attractions, which it was. The staff was very warm, welcoming, especially Stefan with the concierge desk. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained. Housekeeping came daily at our request at the touch of a button by our door. I also enjoyed the do not disturb feature near the door and bed, much easier than fiddling with the sign on the door that some hotels still utilize. The shower, bath, and bed were all very clean, comfortable, with excellent water pressure and temperature. The restaurants were under construction but we did have a greasy burger at Wahlburgers which is adjacent to the hotel and accessible via the second floor. We took advantage of the pool, which is next to the gym and an outdoor terrace area. The pool and spa were a bit outdated but clean and no one else was there when we went for a swim. The valet and doormen were also very nice, and efficient. We probably could have parked across the street for free during the week day and in an open lot during the weekend rather than pay for the valet feature as we did not take our car out once due to the walkable nature of Toronto and the Entertainment District. I did email reservations about a miscellaneous charge on my folio and didn't hear back, but it's not that big of an issue. I would absolutely go back next time I stay in Toronto. We really enjoyed the city, and this particular area of Toronto. Worth the money spent! Just under $ 900 USD for 3 nights plus about $ 171 for parking, hotel facility fees, etc.

Yelp
I absolutely loved by one-night stay at this hotel! The room was a luxury room, with full marble bathroom, heated floors, nice bathtub, great couch and work area and LCD television. The curtains are on remote-controlled rollers and the window offered a great people-watching experience from the 2nd floor. I ordered room service from the restaurant downstairs, and although the food wasn't outstanding, service was fantastic and very prompt. I also used the wifi, and unlike most hotels, it was fast enough and strong enough to stream video online. Combined with its central location near the theatre district and Blue Jays Way, this was a great value (the room rate was in the $215 range). I would highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience that began before we even before we checked in! As our taxi was helping us to unload our luggage from the trunk, one of the evening concierges Adrian came outside to help us bring in our bags. Not sure if they strive to do this with every check-in, or just when it's quiet, or perhaps this was completely random, based on the concierge and time of night day. Either way, it was a pleasant surprise and kind of set a positive tone right away. From there, we check-in with another woman at a different front desk, and she was also helpful in asking what our plans were, suggesting some ideas, or tips if we needed to find things to do. After that, Adrian took over again, bringing us all the way to our room and providing a little walk-thru of everything: showed us where the ice machine was -- behind a sliding door down a different hallway, the hours of the gym (that's the floor we were on), showed us the buttons we could press to let the cleaning staff "Do Not Disturb" or a button to let them know when we wanted the room cleaned. Super convenient, rather than having to call it in. He also explained which drinks were free -- coffee, tea (had a Keurig) and small things of creamers/milk - only two of them, and the ones you might get from Mcdonalds. I've never stayed in a room with so much closet space and initially deemed it unnecessary as it took up extra space into the bedroom/living area. But as I hung up my clothes throughout the trip, I found it was pretty useful even for my short 3 night stay. Bathroom is not huge, but they pack in good things like a soaking tub, a standing glass shower (can only fit 1), and a sink/vanity with a lot of space and shelves. Functional and simple design. Two huge pluses: heated floors that worked almost as soon as you turned the switch, which felt like constant pampering, and the fact that they stock you with plenty of toilet paper. 3 rolls, in addition to the brand new one in use. It seems like a minor thing to notice, but hate when hotel rooms give you a half roll, and only one new one, when the things they give you are cheap no matter what. It wouldn't hurt to provide a bit more, so the guests aren't calling up for more every single night. Elevators always came quickly. We never had to wait. The couch chair was very comfy. I put together the chair and ottoman, and it became this very cozy lounge chair that you just sink right into. Soft and easy to fall asleep in. Was quiet inside the hotel the entire time, and I know there was at least one other occupied room on our floor. But never heard them coming or going, which is rare. I always hear other guests, or their children or doors slamming. Over here, nothing, not even any elevator noise or people going to the gym on our floor. Didn't hear much outside street noise either, as there were some restaurants across the street, and a huge parking lot with cars coming/going. I think late at night while trying to sleep, I occasionally heard trucks rumbling as we're not far from highways, but other than that, it was peaceful. Some small things I appreciated: the iPhone charging dock on one night stand, and the nightstand not only had a pull out drawer, but a pullout table, in case you wanted to put your drinks/food there while watching TV in bed, or your laptop. Very functional design and never saw that before! The shower and sink faucet both had strong water pressure. The bathroom sink was actually too strong as I wasn't able to find any sort of balance. For the most part, water ended up shooting everywhere while washing my hands as it would ricochet off my hands. The vanity/counter top got a lot of water on it. So it can be a bit messy if you have a lot of your toiletries or makeup on there. Towels were thick and long enough to wrap entirely around yourself, and they gave four large and plenty of small ones to use, even if it was only the two of us. The button to get the curtains to open/close was busted. But that's minor. Have dining options in the hotel - a cafe and a Chinese restaurant. Both menus are limited, and the Chinese restaurant menu doesn't seem that enticing. Not to mention overpriced.

Yelp
I have never been to Toronto so I had no idea where to stay. I would say for one night it was a fair price. We all have little thing we like more than the other and honestly my favorite part of the room was the heated floor in the bathroom. Little things like that just made my stay. When I arrived I checked in my room was not ready so it was nice to enjoy a complimentary beer while I waited. I would also not the location is nice and walked able to many locations including union station, the CN tower, Rogers Stadium and in the morning I walked to the St Lawrence Market. Another nice aspect of the room that was great was that the drapes on the window were powered by a switch by the bed. This was great to close at night and easily roll over and raise in the morning for a little light. If I ever travel back to Toronto I would happy stay at SOHO again.

Modern, beautiful and great staff. Location conveniently located near the Entertainment District. Very happy with my selection and will stay there again when I visit next.

Yelp
This place is a JOKE in calling themselves "fine luxury". I practically live in hotels, with work travel and this must be the worst hotel I've stayed at, and at such a high cost. I mistakenly booked this place - tried to deal with that issue, and wasn't able to change rooms or cancel reservation - was told my only option was to check in. Once I checked in, they told me because I'd checked in, I couldn't cancel... The management team refused to contact their GM to help me, and laughed multiple times, at me, while dealing with this issue. Valet wasn't outside to help when I would pull up - at one point I found my suv outside with windows down and the front desk fellow had to keep an eye on it..... Breakfast was overcharged, and arrived an HOUR after I ordered, because the girl taking orders could not speak english. Their restaurant is SUB par. Basically I could go on and on, but I won't. I'll end on a positive note - there was a Quest cookie dough protein bar in the room, which is my favorite. And the bathroom was warm and had a nice tub. No bubble bath...oops tried to keep it posi. Won't EVER EVER EVER be back, and recommend you don't make the mistake I did.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel! Located in close proximity to many bars and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous with a heated floor and large tub. I highly recommend The SoHo.

Yelp
Very dissapointed in our stay. My husband and I were visiting from the US and were told we recieved an upgraded room. Our room looked out at a parking lot?! To top it off the room was so hot and wouldn't cool down at all. We were so restless and front desk couldn't really help us they just apologized. Top it off that night we ordered room service and were charged $60 for a freakin cheese platter give me a break it was water crackers and Brie nothing special. Save your money stay elsewhere

Yelp
Really a lovely spot. Great rooms, great ambiance and I must commend Chris at the concierge desk. He went far and beyond to research and execute a print job I required at short notice Got me the best price and delivered the print package to my room hours before the deadline. Huge koodoos and thanks to him! Want to give koodos to Shannon in the Senses Cafe also. She just solves everythig - gets it done. Pleasant and professional and friendly. Thank you Shannon for organizing our table this's morning. All smooth

Yelp
This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I'm always looking forward to the heated bathroom tiles and the overall design of the rooms have a cool "at home" feel that's somewhat lavish, providing for every need. The location is great, across the street from Wayne Gretzky's restaurant, and it's walking distance to the shopping and sight seeing areas... I even walked to the Hockey Hall of Fame to check that hidden gem out.

Yelp
They have a interesting interior design. High-tech interior style can be seen in this hotel. The light at the lobby gives the space luxurious atmosphere. The hotel staffs are also very kind and nice.

Yelp
A friend came from out of town and stayed here. I cannot comment on the hotel but there's a whole different section where people own condo's?? what the??? a hotel AND a building? - meaning the upkeep is fantastic! AND - you can use the same amenities, maid service etc... I don't know how well this works out for condo owners but for people staying for a short period of time.. it rocks! wow.. the pool- OHHHH EMM GEEE, indoor and it's heated!!!! , spacious. my only complaint : the bathrooms are soooo far away. The service is amazing. We had robes & towels placed for us right away along with our drinks. The sense's restaurant is gorgeous...from what I could see The bar is super super classy. Definitely dress to impress. xoxo M.

Yelp
This is my first 5 star review of a hotel. In general you rarely see hotel reviews on yelp that are 4 stars, never mind 4 and a half. I can certainly attest to the fact that this hotel is worth every dime and my only regret is that I didn't stay a little longer. The big standout of the room was the heated bathroom floor. You don't realize how awesome it is until you actually feel it, and once i did I found myself walking in there just to feel it. The other amazing thing is the fact that not only are the windows floor to ceiling, but the curtains are electronically controlled from a remote by the bed. The bed itself is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel. The design of the room was very artsy, but not overly so. Just enough where it gave the room unique touch of modernness. There are paintings on the walls and the room just has an overall feeling of newness to it that makes you want to hang out there. I'm one for variety, but Im pretty confident that when I come back to Toronto I'll be staying in this hotel again. It's walking distance to a lot of nightlife, restaurants and the skydome where the blue jays play. I was able to walk to the stadium for a game in about 10 minutes. Everything about this place was awesome and it's a 5 star rating that's well deserved.

Yelp
My wife and I were in Toronto for my brother's wedding. We wanted to stay in the "heart" of Toronto and decided to stay downtown. I used a few different sites to see what people had to say about SoHo Metro and the reviews were overall positive. Once you walk into the lobby, it has a very upscale feel to it. We stayed in the Luxury Accommodations room, which was very nice. On a scale of 1-10, I would give the sleeping area/room an 8-8.5. It wasn't anything extravagant, but it was very clean. To be honest, the best part was the bathroom. The floors were heated and the tub was big enough to allow me to sit in comfortably (I'm 6 feet). A jacuzzi would have been a plus. The hotel is literally a five minute walk from the CN Tower and Rogers Centre, which is home to the Toronto Blue Jays. The downside of our stay was parking. Before arriving at the hotel, I contacted SoHo to learn about their parking rates. I was told it is $30 CAD to park per night for 24 hours. We were told the same thing when we arrived. We stayed two nights. At checkout, our parking bill was $78.25 CAD. What they don't tell you is that there is tax, a facility fee and another fee added. So, it actually equals nearly $40 per night to park at the hotel. While the underground parking garage is convenient, it is a complete ripoff in my opinion. Aside from the parking fee, we enjoyed our stay. I would only stay here again if I fly into Toronto. The parking fee is ridiculous.

Yelp
I think heated bathroom floors should be mandatory in all hotels. The penthouse room has a hot tub and full kitchen, and is great for hosting parties. The decor isn't terribly modern though - and the knick nacks found around the place aren't very cool... some are actually kind of ugly. There is a great view of the city. The roof top patio is big but it could use more greenery.

Yelp
Three words: Heated bathroom floor--Even passed out drunk on the tile they hit you with the luxury wand. Soho Met rocks the mic right.

Yelp
This hotel is awesome! Great location. The rooms are modern and comfortable - I loved it and would definitely return. The breakfast restaurant is great, even if the staff are a bit stuffy. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Meeting rooms are well appointed also.

Yelp
For me, what makes a great hotel is not just luxurious amenities, it's the overall customer service, the attentiveness to customer's needs. The staffs were terrific at the Soho Metropolitan. I like that a staff would take you to your room and explain how everything works. Love: - the marble-clad bathroom. The tub and the shower - fabulous! - heated bathroom floor is outstanding. - electronically controlled curtain at your finger tips (above nightstand, just awesome) - spacious rooms + large closet - luxurious Italian linens + King size bed Their wonderful service continued to impress me, even after I left. I returned home and realized that I had left my phone charger in the room. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. They not only found the charger, they also sent it via Fedex the next day. For that, they earned the 5th star.

Yelp
This hotel is absolutely outstanding. Number one reason being the service - absolute 5 star service. I stayed at the hotel for a over a month and then again on more than 10 individual trips recently. After the first stay - they saved items I had forgot for over 2 months - and set them up ready in my room for me - without me asking. They remembered I needed hypo allergenic sheets and already had them swopped. I dropped my iPhone and smashed my screen whilst near the concierge - someone quietly came up and pushed under the door a list of iPhone repair shops. Chocolates on arrival, staff dropping off spare keys without being asked. First hotel staff I can say truly anticipate your needs. When I had any issues they solved them 120% instantly without any drama. The staff are beyond knowledgable about the area and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs - never had a bad word with a single member. On the hotel itself - its one of the coolest places in Toronto - you never know who you will see at the Lucky bar and lobby downstairs. Although I find it a very hip, cool spot to stay at it is still very unpretentious, I don't feel any need to dress up to pop to the bar etc. My group all started off staying here and then moved to our own residences - but it established itself as our meeting point, hang out and quite frankly my safety net in Toronto - made me feel like once a guest always a guest even if I was not currently staying there. I don't normally write reviews but this one had to be done. Enjoy.

Yelp
Now I know this is a boutique-style hotel, but did you also know (fellow Torontonians) that it's a condo building as well?!? It's kinda neat if you think about it. I went here to look at a condo unit in the building. The actual hotel has a separate entrance than the condo portion, but the amenities are shared. I took a peek at one of their two storey condos. It was a one bedroom plus a den! Loved it! The ceilings in the living area were super high, and the whole side was floor to ceiling windows. The upstairs bedroom was an open concept and looked down at the living area. The only downside to this unit was that there wasn't a balcony. None of the units have balcony's. Overall, nice building. Sleek exterior and interior!

Yelp
I am only giving two stars bc the decor and vibe here looks nice. Otherwise it would get 1 star due to the fact that they have construction and dump / trash trucks beginning as early as 630am And scattered through the day. Being on a shoot schedule with odd hours, you stay at 5star hotel expecting a certain level of quiet and comfort. Don't count on it here. They apparently can't do anything about their engineers drilling right above your room during business hours. Sounds like it's right in the room with me. Currently sleep depraved and overly exhausted. Seriously not cool at this $ tier. If they reimburse us on our room charges to ease the pain I'll change my rating. But until then - 2 stars is gracious.

Yelp
Stellar service and amazing staff. I arrived close to midnight, I had work to complete, and they were more than accommodating to help me finish my work. Thank you so much for all your help, I really appreciate it!!! Oh and the lychee juice was delicious.

Yelp
The hotel is nice, dry clean and has excellent service. The rooms have nice beds and usually a great view. You can't beat the beautiful bathrooms with heated floors!!!. The location is not the absolute greatest but it does have some good resto's around and you can easily walk up to queen at. The senses restaurant is awesome for any meal. Everything I've had there has been excellent.

Yelp
Loved my stay here over the weekend. I let concierge know that I needed a good night's rest and some relaxation and the hospitality I received thereafter was very much appreciated. The tub and heated floors in the bathroom are heaven and the food...yum. Will definitely return.

Yelp
My first trip to Toronto, and I chose the perfect hotel. There is a lot to self park next door or they offer valet. Walking distance to just about any tourist attraction in the city. The staff was lovely, the room spotless and they LOVE dogs. Yes, they are pet friendly. They gave me a pet welcome package upon arrival and there is a dog park a block away. It is pricey but totally worth what you pay for. Room service too - our first night there I was tired so I could get Wahlburgers room service - can't top that! (And Tim Hortons is a quick walk too).

Yelp
I shouldn't give a five star rating; it will make it harder to book a room in the future !! But this hotel is great. I have stayed in literally 100's of hotels around the world and I finally found the perfectly designed hotel room. Everything is ergonomically designed. I loved it. The location doesn't hurt either.

Yelp
Stayed here for a conference recently. Overall, a great stay. Service was excellent and rooms were very comfortable. Only negatives were that the AC didn't seem to work well in the room, and breakfast was pretty pricey (~$20 per person). I would definitely recommend getting the package with the breakfast included in the stay. Otherwise, good hotel and very centrally located. I would stay again.

Yelp
This is my new favorite hotel in Toronto. I'm no stranger to this often under-appreciated metropolis and it is far more stylish, interesting and diverse than you might think. That said, I've stayed here three times and each visit was memorable. Smart and stylish, the SoHo Metropolitan is boutique with modern cache. The only downside: the neighborhood - while interesting - is a bit of a stretch from Yorkville where I tend to spend most of my time. But don't let a little geography get in the way. The bathrooms are huge and bathed in marble. They even have heated floors which are a 'must' in colder months. The beds are luxurious and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. There's a convenient mini-market across the street to score bottled water and decent cheap vintages if the hotel's room service prices scare you.

Yelp
Everything about this hotel is great! The rooms, the restaurant . the heated floors and the service are all top notch. It is more contemporary and stylish than the bigger chains in the city and the price is about the same. IMHO there are only a few hotels in Toronto that are nicer.

Yelp
I am going with 4.5 stars on this one. We were in town from SC for the PEN Canada International Festival of Writers. Got an amazing deal on a room with a little patience and persistence. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted at the door by helpful staff. Check-in was a breeze. Parking is underground and you enter about 300 ft past the front door. A little pricey at $40 a night, but easier and more convenient than finding a private lot close and has in and out privileges. The only issue I had with parking was the smell. A heavy odor of garbage was persistent throughout the garage, which was less than inviting. We were helped to our room by a welcoming bellhop who took time to explain the features of the room and chatted us up about the area. The room was not huge, but comfortable. We began our stay in the Deluxe room which was spacious and well-appointed. After settling in, we decided to fire up the heated floors in the bathroom before we ventured out. Upon our return, we realized that they were not working. We figured we'd let it ride until morning and proceeded to retire. As we tucked ourselves in we noticed this noise that we had heard earlier, but had dismissed. It sounded like a cat was stuck inside the wall and was meowing as if in distress. After hearing it about ten times, I called the front desk to inquire. They informed us the hotel and the adjoining residences were pet friendly. Satisfied, we went back to work getting to sleep. Long story short, it took forever for me to get to sleep and I was awakened several times by this noise. By morning, I was truly concerned about this cat, certain that it was stuck in the wall or was in an adjoining room starving because the owner was incapacitated or dead. At the front desk, I voiced my concerns. One of the concierges overheard my plight and confirmed that I was not the first guest to hear this noise. I was assured that someone would look into it and we proceeded about our day. Later, we were informed that engineering had checked into the problem and it was in fact not a feline in distress, but rather a valve in the piping system. They offered to relocate us, which we happily accepted. The were gracious enough to upgrade us for our trouble to the luxury accommodation, which afforded us a lovely view of the CN Tower (and the heated floors were in working order!). The rest of our stay was uneventful. Amazing room, attentive staff, great bar, and a prime location. We did not try the restaurant, but heard from several others it was very good. Just West of the hotel, on Clarence Square, is a fantastic French cafe with some of the best croissants I have ever had. Plenty of cabs in the area and a short trip to most attractions. Rogers Centre is a short walk away, as is the waterfront. Tip: Wi-fi is free and quite decent. The will try to tack on a "technology fee" at check-out. If you did not use the business center, inform them and save yourself $8 a day. ;) We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again when visiting Maple Leaf country. Tip for American parents: Apparently softcore porn (i.e. Cinemax) in Canada is a little different than in the States. There is nothing softcore about it! Consider yourself warned :)

Yelp
The hotel is pretty nice. I would say downstairs and hallway decor is more fashionable then the rooms itself. Location is terrible in my opinion. When I'm at hotel, I want convenience to major attractions. This one doesn't do that for me. Front desk ladies were nice and approachable. The bar in the lobby looks fancy, wanna check it out next time. Elevators were spacious and hold large group of adults. Penthouse suite was also on a low floor. The view was nice considering the location lol the bedroom size was average, sofa at the end of the bed instead of a tv. Lots of shelving at the suite which was nice, nothing gets lost. Everything can have a place. The bathroom was so pretty. Marble everything. Glass shower, tub and toilet. Large almost full length mirror and they have the best shampoos, soaps and other hygiene needs :) The living was huge, sofa setting on the left corner with tv. The rest is fully empty, almost looks awkward? We had a DJ come in and set up and there was still extra room. About 30 + people in the suite. Never ran out of room :)

Yelp
I went on a recent trip to Toronto with my boyfriend, and happened to find found a really great deal on a room here. It is worth every penny! Even though this is definitely a high-end, very luxurious hotel, every staff person was legitimately (convincingly) friendly and helpful, which is not typical. In fact, people often perceive me as younger than I am, so I am often given the snub at some of these high-end hotels, and I never felt that condescending vibe from them. Although the bedroom was definitely nice, and the bed was extremely comfortable with lots of big, fluffy down pillows and 1000 thread count sheets, I would say the best part of our stay was the bathroom. The entire bathroom was done up in marble and premium bath fixtures. There was a huge soaker tub next to the walk-in shower, and the bath products were so nice I opted to use them instead of the ones I'd brought from home. And even though it was summer when we went, the heated floors were actually great for when you step out of the shower. The makeup mirror was also a nice touch. The bedroom black-out curtains were controllable from a bedside switch, where you could also hit a button to indicate "do not disturb." The pool, hot tub and workout facilities are beautiful as well. Also Free Wi-fi. Plus, it is fairly centrally located - within walking distance of the main areas we were interested in: Queen West, Downtown, Theatre District, CN Tower, Kensington Market. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the view. Finally, after my stay, they emailed me a customer experience survey, and although I rated everything highly, I did mention something in the comments about the signage leading to some confusion and a less than patient staffer (who may or may not have actually worked at the Soho). They actually followed up with me with a personal letter from the president saying they'd address the issue! Stellar customer service! Overall, an outstanding experience! I enjoyed the hotel almost as much as seeing the city, if you can believe it! I would recommend to anyone.

Yelp
Everything was perfect; the location, the service, the room, the amenities. After a very, very long day of travel, we finally got to our room at Soho Metropolitan Hotel. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The bathroom is beautiful with a large soaking tub and heated floors. Just what I needed to rejuvenate. We stayed in 4 hotels on our Canadian trip and this was by far the best of the best.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about the Soho Met. On the one hand, it's a lovely little boutique hotel with good service, nice rooms and a great lobby bar that's pretty lively most nights. On the other, the location is terrible. Aside from a Chez Cora across the street, a corner store and a Starbucks near by, there really isn't much. It's close to the Sky Dome and the club district, which means it's noisy a lot at night, and not exactly on the urban side of things. If I was in town for business at the convention centre around the corner, then it would be a good option, but not for an extended stay. The area would drive me bananas.

Yelp
Love this little hotel! Nice rooms with great bathrooms- sunken tub, heated floors and separate glass enclosed steam/shower. The swanky cocktail bar/lounge is a cozy spot for a martini before hitting the supper-club scene on nearby Wellington. Wanna live here? Me too- it's spendy but they offer furnished apartments for longer term stays.

Yelp
I do not understand the negative reviews. I just finished a two night stay and I thought the hotel was fantastic. I travel a lot and I am very particular. My wife calls me a diva. I like a lot of style, but I don't like hotels that consider themselves so "hip" and cater to the customers in their nightclub over their guests. I like top amenities and service at places like the Regency in New York, but some of those places are stodgy and boring. To me, the Soho is the perfect blend of style and services. The front desk staff was friendly, welcoming and highly professional. The wifi was free and very fast. There is a very high end Chinese restaurant and bar called Luckee that has great interpretations of Chinese food and a great vibe. I also don't understand the reviewers who complained about the price being too high. I paid CDN $345 per night. A comparable room in New York would be USD 700. I will be back.

Yelp
I've stayed at a few hotels in my time and have discovered you get what you pay for. Except I recently bought an inexpensive coupon for a night at the Soho Metropolitan in Toronto and was treated like royalty. From start to finish the service, room and amenities were extraordinary. I was impressed and will remember the wonderful time I spent there fondly.

Yelp
This hotel is the worst. Staying here now during the Toronto film festival and they gave me a room literally right by the elevator and won't move me even though I checked in before the hotel was fully occupied for the festival and they could have . Besides the people that stand and talk by the elevators, the bells of the elevator ding all night long and they won't move me or issue a refund. They've done literally nothing to help and In fact they never even called me back after they said they'd look into trying to move me. My company and our 5 rooms won't ever be staying here again next year.

Yelp
This place was great. Stayed here for a conference with a software company that we do business with based out of Toronto. The entire staff including those at the Sen5es restaurant and bar were all very attentive and friendly. It is a bit expensive but we got great corporate rates. Located in a nice area near King Street and some others that contain a lot of nice restaurants and establishments.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite hotel in Toronto. The hotel is chic, quiet and well run. The rooms are spacious with a modern design - beautiful details with marble bathroom and soaking tub; beautiful stainless steel fixtures; electronically controlled curtain and high ceilings. I stayed here for business and so glad I did. The hotel had great internet connections (both wireless and jack) which both ran very fast and the hotel concierge was helpful in receiving and getting the fed ex packages that were sent to me from my office and all of my faxes, as well as printing materials out for me as well and directing me to an office supply space when I needed some materials for my presentation. The in room dining arrived on time and is open all hours. A great, great hotel.

Yelp
Loved this hotel. Beautiful rooms, heated bathroom floors, enclosed steam shower, pillow "menu". As well, really good breakfast and cool lounge. Great hotel experience.
