Soho Japanese Bistro

The food was really good! Visited my family here from Florida and had a great meal, love the cultural Japanese vibes here. The chicken, salmon, the steak and the yellowtail are all good 🔥

The problem is management not the staff. Had a reservation for 7pm for dining not hibachi. waited a half hour because they way overbooked themselves and were allowing more people in when they should have turned them away. Food was delicious but also took about 45 minutes to get our appetizer (because they overextended themselves). My wife’s New York strip was a cube steak which is not what a New York strip is (we paid $30 for cube steak) Servers and kitchen staff were clearly working as hard as possible. Management clearly cannot run a restaurant well and prioritized money over experience. Sad because clearly the workers tried so hard. Spent $109 for 1 roll 1 appetizer 2 entrees 2 glasses of wine.

I went to Soho on Saturday, February 21, 2026 to celebrate my birthday with my two children. I had a reservation and we had a short wait. We were sat at a hibachi grill with another party that was finishing up. It took longer than anticipated for the chef to come out. He cooked our food in 10 minutes. Only did one trick with an egg. The food was less to be desired and bland. The fried rice was barely beige and dry. Hardly any soy sauce was used. My daughter’s chicken was extremely dry. When I told the server that it was my birthday and all I wanted was a fun hibachi experience. She said oh I’m sorry. No manager came over to talk to us. Nothing was done. I had no less than five people recommend this restaurant to me and I will never go back. The quality of food for the price is absolutely underwhelming.

The food was ok, was a little upset that they don't have regular noodles for the hibachi. The cook was VERY entertaining. Had an AWESOME conversation with the other couples in the section.

I had a fantastic time at SOHO Hibachi! The atmosphere was lively, with well-thought-out decor that added to the experience. The hibachi performance was entertaining, making it a fun outing beyond just a meal. The food was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and well-portioned. Every dish exceeded expectations. Overall, it’s a solid 5 out of 5—great food, great environment, and a fun experience. Definitely worth a visit!

Food was good. The chef was great. But gratuity was added to bills for part of the party, but not others. Further, gratuity was added for a group of 5. Nowhere on the menu, on the bill or anywhere in the establishment is it written that gratuity will be added automatically for a group of any size. There is no written policy anywhere and it was even inconsistent within the party. When I asked about it, i was just told that that's what they do. Unacceptable... I won't be returning

Great experience with a birthday dinner party group of 18 people. Very entertaining and delicious with fantastic service. Super appreciated their extra effort and consideration of care for my wife who has celiac disease.

Our new favorite dinner restaurant! Highly recommend going to the hibachi side and ordering the veggie fried rice with a meat if desired. The chef's show alone was worth the cost of the meal. Excellent experience for all ages!

Came here for a birthday, we had 11 people in our party. I believe we had a reservation, but not 100%, either way we were seated right away as we arrived. The girl in the front was friendly and welcomed us. The decor inside is nice, may be a bit older, but I think that is what gives it some charm. They have a couple tea rooms, which is nice, also a sushi bar, a large regular bar and then of course their hibachi grills which is the main event. Did not try sushi, so cannot give an opinion on that. But I did enjoy the food very much, it is on the more expensive side per person, but you know what you are getting here, it is the atmosphere, the show and the food all together to get the full experience for the price. I myself chose the filet mignon with scallops. Filet medium rare, it was cooked just the way I liked it, it was tender and flavorful and not over done. Scallops also were on point, the chef did a good job. I think he may have been newer as he did not do some of the tricks I am used to in a place like this. But he did a good job and was friendly. Our server was friendly, the only complaint is when we went to pay, he said we could not do individual payments and we had to do it in blocks of 4, which did not work for us. We asked to speak to the Manager and then we suddenly all had our bills split properly how we needed since we were a mixed group, so I thank them for doing that. We brought a cake as well and we were able to cut it up at the table and enjoy it there as well, so I cannot give them anything but 5 stars. Friendly, good food, entertainment and accommodating to our requests. Good experience all around. Enjoy!

This wasn't planned but a great surprise. The place is dark inside so with my darkening glasses made it hard to see the menu. Our waitress was so sweet and patient. She reminded me of my girls. The bartender was not there yet so only beer, and wine could be served. I had a glass of chardonnay which was a generous pour. We started with appetizer and sushi roll. My food came out first and my husband food was almost forgot about but by that time we were both full and ended up bringing most home. I also got a birthday dessert of fried ice cream which was not expected. It was getting busy by the time we left. Good food, nice atmosphere and attentive service.

My boyfriend and I just had a great meal at SoHo Japanese Bistro. We unfortunately didn't get any photos, but I got the filet+chicken and he got the chicken+shrimp. Very great service and the food tasted amazing. SoHo made this a great night!

Well, we went in person and how disappointing that ordering it to-go or for delivery was a better experience. We had rated them 5 stars for Togo and delivery. A generous 3 in person. We went on a busier Friday night. We waited 45 minutes just for our drinks. Another 30 for our salads and they forgot the soup and brought out the sushi - after another 45 and telling us they were sorry they lost the order. We are kind and understand that things run behind- I really think they are understaffed. The atmosphere was nice- we sat by the waterfall but I was constantly being knocked into by 4 under 6 year olds coming to see the koi fish- who's parents absolutely didn't care that they were interrupting several tables of people eating by running to the water. We were able to stop one from climbing in and nicely walked him over to the table. We were happy he didn't hurt himself. So keep that in mind about sitting next to the water- it could be a random thing. The sushi boat was lovely and it all tasted fresh but sadly we will stick to ordering it rather than dining in since waiting 2 hours for a pretty sushi boat just wasn't worth it.

Me and my family celebrated my dad's birthday here a couple days ago. We didn't make reservation and were seated right away. The hostess was very nice. Our server brought us our drinks right away, as well as soups and salads. The food was delicious and our chef entertained everyone at the table, giving his full attention to each person. Totally worth it! Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures, but the atmosphere is amazing! My personal recommendation is filet and salmon.

I've never had a problem going to Soho up until today. Today is my boyfriend and I's anniversary and we made a reservation for 7pm. It's a tuesday, I was not expecting it to be busy but I made the reservation just to be sure. We sat for a hour at a dirty table, by ourselves only with drinks given to us and a sushi roll we ordered. No chef, no food being cooked. I couldn't find our waitress so I had to find someone just to ask for the bill so we could leave because at that point it was 8:10. As soon as I sat back down the chef comes out asking if we still wanted our food, I said no, we paid the bill with no discount for the terrible service and left.

Ok had to give three stars due to the generous man at the hibachi across from ours. Otherwise it would have been a 1 star review. We arrived at 7 and waited until 8 to be seated for our daughter's 18 th bday dinner. 3 ladies, the three of us and one other couple all non related waited until 9 to get our drinks, no water btw. Then around 9:30 the first cook came over. He was new but there were 2 of us with seafood allergy and one celiac. So they cross contaminated the food before they started and it went south from there. Except for one man who was watching us all go through the long delay and frustration. He quietly walked over and dropped big cash on the table and humbly paid for the entire tables dinner. So hopefully sir you read this review at some point, as we all appreciated your generosity and want to thank you sincerely from our heart to yours! You turned a potentially horrible bday dinner into one we will always remember! Thank you and may God bless you!

Had our daughter's birthday dinner at Soho with seven of her friends. I have to say I was looking forward to eating here as it had been a long time. While a fun experience for the group of 13-14 year old girls I think Soho has gone down hill. The restaurant needs freshened up. It feels old. I thought the food was ok, but pricey. We had several sushi rolls that were decent. I definitely think you come here primarily for the fun of Hibachi. I will not rush back.

My party was pleased with the food and the service. I had the chicken fried rice made in the kitchen because of my shrimp allergy but it was delicious. I also had the sushi. The rest of my party had the grille and they enjoyed the food and the show. This place is great and when I am back in Ohio I will have to return.

First and last time eating here. For $50, you'd think your food wouldn't be completely overcooked. Why even ask for the temperature of a filet mignon if the "chef" is just going to overcook it. NEVER ever butterfly a filet mignon. The salad was gross The mushroom soup was like dishwater The servers were seen sitting in a booth on their phones and had to be "stared down" to get their attention. 0/5 is deserved.

I wonder if Joe Burrow felt the same about Soho Bistro as I do now, sort of disappointed and underwhelmed. The interior is lovely. They have a waterfall wall that is quite tranquil. You need a respite, look no further! Also appears they have a private dining option. Service was good, but the food? Meh. Spring rolls: ok, sauce tasted a bit off? Mushroom soup: 4 thin, tiny slices of mushroom with a non-flavorful broth Scottish Salmon: honestly, what I make at home tastes equal to or better than this Tempura ice cream: just made me sad I implore you to dine at Miyako if you are looking for Japanese fare. Also, diner beware: SoHo's website is not up to date in regards to pricing and menu offerings. What I looked up online to order they didn't even make or have on the menu.

Made reservations at 6:30, ended up being a little late and it was no problem. Sitting is a little crowded but I think that's part of the experience, eating and hanging with people from your community. Could probably use a little more knee room tho lol. Server was a little all over the place but he was cool. Only warning I have are the glasses. I got 2 waters, both had dirty glasses. I could see the stains. But I couldn't eat this whole fried rice without water so I swallow my pride. Now the food, I got fried rice with chicken, my gf got the strip steak. My food came out delicious, and my gfs was good aswell. We're some fat pieces in the steak but no big deal. The chef was hilarious and made it a great time. That's the next best part of the experience, laughing with new people and attempting to catch egg was super entertaining while your food cooked. Both of those for $60 with tip. Not bad. Would recommend and will be back!

August 19, 2020 was my very first time here. This place was just 7 minutes away from me and I had no idea it even existed. BUT I DO NOW!!! This place was delicious. And the portion sizes was enough for two. I ate from the lunch menu and it was still a lot. I can't even imagine how much food comes with on the dinner menu. Let me tell you, the shrimp tempura was good. But that chicken and shrimp with fried rice was OMGOSH delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The shrimps were so good. I went with a friend and it also was her first time there. She absolutely loved it. Her steak and shrimp platter with fried rice was also amazing! How do I know? Because I asked to taste her food. And I had wished I had ordered the steak and rice. But I will be returning. And when I do, I will be ordering the steak, shrimp, chicken fried rice. This place was simply amazing. There soup and salad were even good. I mean everything we had in the table was good. Did I mention I will be returning? Because I will be returning. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOME AMAZING FRIED RICE WITH GREAT ADD ON'S THEN THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!

The entrance is nice and I had high hopes. The food was mediocre at best. The teppanyaki show...let's just say I have seen better. The cook kept pushing the food against the back grill (see picture) with one spatula instead of using two spatula's to turn the food. That grill was so dirty (black edges from built up grease). Restrooms also disgusting. I want to highlight that I was here on a weekday. Not too busy. Many open tables. Then when the bill came they already added gratuity, but the language on the receipt stated they did not. We will never be back. Bonus: the soles of my shoes were all sticky from the dirty carpet when we left.

I love this place everything is A 1 in my book. I would go back over and over again. I took my mom for Mother's Day she loved it. My daughter was there too. She was impressed as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

We've been dining here for the past 10 years, but it has been going downhill for the past few years. It was very slow despite being a weekend night. We ordered our food in person to carry out ( vegetable fried rice entrees, age tofu, salad, and sushi). The sushi was packaged in the same container despite one order being a cold sushi and the second item being a hot cooked sushi. This ruined the chilled uncooked sushi. The rice was flavorless and had only broccoli, zucchini and onions. Though we requested egg there was none in the rice. It was not seasoned at all and was quite disappointing. The salads and the yum yum and ginger sauces were not included in our order and we had to return to the restaurant after opening our food at home. All in all the food was pretty poorly executed and was flavorless overpriced and nondescript. The service was poor since things were missing in our order. I was unimpressed. The restaurant is becoming run down, lots of junk and dead plants at hostess area, bar was closed and only part of dining room was open. I won't be rushing back.

Service was spotty and it was not busy. Perhaps there was only one server for the entire restaurant? Best part of the meal: sushi and mochi. I should have skipped the hibachi style shrimp and chicken. The chicken was dry and filled with gristle. Yuck! The yum yum sauce was not that yummy. Our group sat near the waterfall, which was pretty. I won't go back.

Chef was entertaining, and friendly. Server was excellent! Food was top notch. Filet was extremely tender.

This is the first time that I have eaten at this restaurant I was skeptical because of the reviews that they have had but I found that they were all unfounded reviews as far as I'm concerned we had a party at seven with reservations at 5:30 and we were seated properly on time. The staff was friendly and very helpful food was excellent except there was too much of it I had to take half of mine home. It what is a little pricey but considering the amount that you got I cannot complain I will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the mood for hibachi which is not not too often. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes that type of food the atmosphere and the decorations are great.

Food was great, atmosphere is good, would highly recommend for a nice dinner. Also, don't forget to tip the cooks, they really appreciate a $5 or $10 spot.

We placed a pick up order for the Chicken Katsu and Beef Gyoza. The portion size was generous, especially since the Chicken Katsu came with tonkatsu sauce, miso soup, salad, and fried rice (also a choice of white rice offered) - there was plenty to share or save for later! The food was ready when expected and had great flavor.

My mom and I were looking for a hibachi style restaurant and saw from Google reviews, that Soho seemed to be pretty popular. While this restaurant does both teppanyaki and sushi, the majority of the reviews I saw commented on how good the sushi was here. Since we were wanting hibachi though, we still chose the hibachi style. Inside is very atmospheric and the decor is pretty cool. Definetly gives off an experience type of restaurant. They have one side dedicated to tepanyaki/hibachi style cooking and the other for sushi and normal dining. They even have an intimate dining area called the tatami rooms for 4 - 10 guests for sushi or normal dining. We decided to dine here on a Saturday, which unbeknownst to us is one of their busiest days on the hibachi side of the restaurant. We were told the wait would be a couple hours, but since we were still hungry, we were assured that the hibachi food could be ordered on the normal dining side, just without the cooking show. We had a lovely view of the fountain and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All of our food came out very quickly, if not a little too quickly. We had food piling up on our table and felt rushed through our meal. The appetizers we ordered were very good and we were excited to see our main entrees, but were extremely disappointed with what we were given. I'm giving this experience a 2 star rating because our main food tasted very cheap. I had ordered the shrimp and scallop teppanyaki meal and was pretty disappointed. Typically hibach fried rice is buttery, well seasoned with soy sauce and mirin and has a pleasing grill flavor and so I was shocked with how dry and unseasoned/flavorless my fried rice was. It was reminiscent of the kind you could get at Panda express where the flavor was non-existent, almost washed off tasting. The rest of my food (vegetables, shrimp and scallops) was soaked in what looked like a teriyaki sauce, which I hadn't ordered and my scallops were pretty fishy. Hibachi meat and vegetables don't come smothered in teriyaki sauce. The presentation of the food is pretty, but it was very bland. From how their menu is laid out in the teppanyaki area, my mother had accidentally ordered the wrong meal for herself, which our server told us was a VERY common mistake there. She had a similar experience of her fried rice being unseasoned and the rest of her meal soaked in teriyaki sauce. She had ordered the filet mignon with hers and also discovered her meat to be flavorless. While our server attempted to negate the mistake with a separate meal, the new food brought was worse than what we originally ordered. For the amount we paid for our food and the poor quality it turned out to be, we probably won't be returning to this restaurant for their hibachi. I would recommend Panda Express instead, half the price, but more flavor. **Note: They also don't sell egg yolk sauce, which is very disappointing.

If you want to have fun, eat great food and have impeccable service, this is the place to go. Andy our cook, had us all laughing and Denny took good care of us. I want to thank them both and all eight of us look forward to seeing them again. Soho's, West Chester, Ohio

Filthy, and in need of updates! My husband and I have been going for years, and decided last night was the last time we give them a chance. The place has declined significantly. The vents no longer work properly so you get gusts of charred food smoke in your face while the chefs cook (I mean thick smoke, not just the normal expected), the chairs all have rips, some even have duct tape! The restrooms are disgusting, any time I've needed to use the women's restroom, I've regretted it. The food quality is inconsistent, the training of the chefs varies significantly! Service is also inconsistent, sometimes its so slow, we've wanted to just leave. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars, is that every once in a while, our chef nails the food. However, this place is in extreme need of training, CLEANING, and updating.

Great stop for a quick bite to cure your sushi craving. That being said I did not enjoy any of the rolls we ordered. The decor is super fun! 10/10 points for funky decorations. They are a little kitsch but I loved them. They have an indoor waterfall, some wooden Japanese pavilions and structures to really enhance the setting. For apps we got calamari and tuna tataki. Both were good. The tuna tataki came served in a Martini glass stuck to a plate with a ball of wasabi. We got 4 rolls. All had a lot of sauce, and the spicy tuna was very mushy. The volcano roll was deep friend beyond recognition and I did not eat any of it. I wouldn't eat here again for the food but wouldn't be opposed to coming back to enjoy the funky little Japanese pavilions and waterfall. Also drinks were good.

The server was horrible. I was checking my phone because my friend is in the emergency room and he told me to get off my phone and proceeded to poor the cooking oil in my drink. I will never go back horrible experience

If I could give no stars I would. My family and I visited on a Wednesday night after we booked a reservation. Our server was nice but for some reason it took over 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We were there almost an hour before the chef came to prepare our food. Now here is why I gave them one star: while waiting for the cook to arrive to our table I went to the restroom. while I was in there I observed an employee was using the urinal next to me, we finished around the same time and met at the sink to wash our hands. But while I reached for the soap, he did not. He simply wet his hands grabbed a paper towel and walked out. THE EMPLOYEE DID NOT USE SOAP when he washed his hands. I walked out behind him to see him working in the area where sushi is being prepared. Needless to say that ruined my entire experience. Luckily no one in my party ordered sushi. I will not be back.

Had reservations for 9 people for my granddaughters 19 th birthday, wait wasn't long but they would not sit your party till everyone was there, even though 7 of the 9 were there, food just ok, hibachi chef was ok, ended up burning his face and eyes when lighting up the onion volcano, feel sorry for the guy , very, very smokey atmosphere to the point where your eyes are burning, poor ventilation!!!!!!!, when you leave this place you smell like fried food, very disappointing, unhappy with this birthday dinner..... The only good comment I can give for this restaurant on this night was our waitress Rebekah, very helpful & thoughtful....... A+

I've only been to a place like this once before and apparently things have changed? Back in the day, it was like a show where the cook would be like an entertainer. As we sat and had our food cooked, the fella just seemed like he wanted to be elsewhere? No entertainment at all, he was nice and attentive but no real flare? I ordered the shrimp dinner and the lovely Mrs ordered chicken dinners. With the dinner, you get a cup of mushroom soup and a small salad. The soup is really just a broth with a few mushrooms added and although the flavor is more of a beef broth with some fresh ginger added. The salad was tasty. The dinners were a bit bland for me so I tried some yum-yum sauce which helped, then tried the ginger dip and that was a bit better as well. Wishing I had brought my own hot sauce at this time... I'll fix it up for lunch tomorrow. You get allot of food so plan for take home or if you don't do leftovers, they have an option where you're can share a dinner but they add a charge for that(amount not listed and I didn't ask, sorry).

I have been eating here at least one a week or order to go but today I got a really bad food all the meat I got in the bow junk meat

I've eaten at Japanese restaurants all over the United States and Soho's is one of the best. The food is outstanding and the portions are huge. It's my go to restaurant for out of town guest, special occasions and any time I want a great meal. The portions are so big that I can always count on leftovers the next day. Eat at Soho's you won't be disappointed.

Friday night at the hibachi table was so much fun! We made a reservation, which id recommend because it was crowded, and were sat right when the full party arrived. Our server Hayden was good, very attentive with water refills, and quick delivery of app and drink orders . The hibachi chef did a wonderful job, wish I caught his name! He did all the normal tricks and was very funny and personable. Everyone got at least two chances to catch the egg and that's always fun too. He got to the table promptly after we ordered and was super efficient. Serving sizes were good, even if not perfectly even. At our table it was 6 chicken, 1 steak and 1 shrimp order and the veggies were cooked last. Everything was super flavorful and you'll want extra ginger sauce. We will definitely be back!

Came here for a birthday event. We came early on a Sunday, somewhere around 5ish if I recall correctly. I have been here maybe 3 or 4 times over the last 10 years. I have lots of places I enjoy and I have always enjoyed the hibachi style of cooking. The Chef is the main part of the meal. I mean don't get me wrong the food is important, but the Chef is the center point of the evening. The food was very good, I have no complaint, the Chef did a very good job of the presentation. The waitress did a very good job of filling our water glasses and the food came at a good pace. I will be back, it just isn't a weekly location as for 4 people with only one alcoholic drink the tab was $134. So with tip it isn't what I would normally spend on a meal out. I don't have an issue with it, but I do try to keep my eating out meals under that. Part of this experience is what you make of it and part is the chef and wait staff. Hopefully you get the best of all.

Soho is going downhill. We have gone there for the past several years, mainly because my younger daughter loved the fried rice, and usually to celebrate something. In the past, it's been a fun experience and really great food. The past few times, however, it has been mediocre at best. In our most recent visit, the "chef" was clearly inexperienced. His shtick was basically making noise with the spatula and fork and flipping them around a bit. There was no other entertainment value. His cooking capability was substandard. The meats were overcooked and the rice and veggies were undercooked. Plus, the flavor was completely bland. I told our server about this and she just shrugged her shoulders and said, oh sorry, and then delivered the bill. I almost asked for a manager but there were several people in our party and I didn't want to make a scene. We won't be back.

We had pleasure of dining at this location again for our families joint birthday gathering. This restaurant is amazing with the food, ambiance, and service. First, we had 15 people who came to restaurant and they accommodated us by request with a private dining experience in a traditional style Japanese private dining room. The ambience was super clean and had 2 traditional dining tables with no shoes inside this room. We were able to easily hear each other's conversations and could speak privately throughout dinner. The service was 5 star as the server waited on all of us seemingly well and precise. We did not have to ask twice for anything. The food was a 5 star gourmet cuisine. From sashimi to hot foods all served to everyone's taste buds. There were way too many dishes to post but have a few to publish and recommend. We ordered dumplings, edamame, fried rice, to sushi, and vegetarian dishes. This place is the ultimate go to place for large friends and family gatherings. I would recommend this place for corporate dining and friendly family gatherings. Lastly, at the end of our dining experience the managers came and asked how everything was for us and we all were very happy and pleased with everything. It has been a while since I am able to give any establishment a 5 star on all 3 categories of ambiance, food, and service. This was the best birthday experience I have had in a very long time. Thanks to the staff at Soho Japan for making this evening Fantastic and fun.

We used to love this place, especially during the holidays as a treat for out of town family, but something has really changed. The interior needs a facelift and the bathrooms left a lot to be desired when we visited recently. Staff were overwhelmed and undertrained. The management seems really ineffective or simply not present. We were there for 2 hours on a busy night and never saw anyone that seemed to be the manager. Menus at the table didn't match, and didn't match the online menu. Waitstaff have enough to do without figuring out which of 3 menus is correct. I hope things turn around for them, and we will go back again to give them another try, but not anytime soon. They are simply too expensive for the mediocre experience.

Went with a large group from work. Spring rolls were ok. Calamari was a joke. They were warmed up frozen rings. Dumplings were ok. I ordered shrimp and chicken for 18 bucks. 3 shrimp only cmon.... Chicken was ok. Veggies were done at the end. Would have liked earlier. Fried rice was nothing great. Show was poor compared to another one we watched. Cook acted like he didn't want to be there. Service was good. Solid 3 star average meal. I won't rush to go back.

Our service was horrible. People that were seated at other tables long after our party was seated, we're served before us. I had to ask staff if our meals would be prepared, we then continued to wait. 1.5 hours later we finally got our food. When it was prepared, the rice was under seasoned and over cooked. Proteins were all over cooked and dried out. We had to ask for everything including sauces, silverware, etc. when I called to complain, the owner (Tony) said it was too bad and there was nothing he could do. I stated a simple apology would be nice and that if he couldn't provide that then we'd take our business elsewhere. His response was "ok". This is not the way to retain customers.

Absolutely delicious and so much food! Had the filet Mignon and scallops -perfect! Great fried rice and vegetables. My husband had the strip steak and it was prepared exactly as ordered. He loved it. Great service too! A must visit.

This is our favorite hibachi restaurant in Cincy. I love the decor and the ambiance. I've never had sushi here so I can only comment on the hibachi menu. The menu has a nice variety of items including typical hibachi items like steak and chicken but they also offer salmon, filet mignon, lobster, scallops. My husband and I love this place for date night. They offer a VIP special where 2 people can pick 3 meat options for around $70. It's a great deal. We usually pick salmon, filet and shrimp. Dinner included fried rice and soup/salad appetizers. I can see how sitting large parties could be different at the hibachi table however we've never had to wait long to seat small party of 2 or 4. The chefs always do a great job and they are entertaining. Wait staff is always friendly. They also have a nice variety on the bar menu.

I used to work at this Resturant years ago and I absolutely loved their food - especially sushi. Today I 'treated' myself to some takeout vegetable fried rice and a rainbow roll. I was very disappointed with the quality of my food. My rainbow roll was made with very brown avocado. My vegetable fried rice had large chunks of onion and it tasted old. Definitely not as good at it used to be :/

Grand daughters choice she chose SoHo.. not our first visit.. but it has gone way down.. first it's not the wait! To start it was impossible to find a chair that was not duck taped.. yeah in a room with three cook tops.. and us being the only ones in that room with 18 to 20 chairs at each table top.. only 5 chairs with no duck tape.. So if you like tape stuck to your rear end this is your place. No air and high flames on a 90 degree day with tape on your ***. Not a good way to enjoy the show.. the gentleman that did the cooking was very entertaining.. only thing good about the place.. Food not as good as it had been, and yes three out of the 10 of us became sick that night.. noticed after going through what we ate it was the salmon.. chicken most got and others shrimp and stake.. That is how we figured what has caused all three of us have the same reaction.. SoHo with the prices your charging fix your place (chairs) and be on top of the seafood. And your tuna roll need help, can't even Taste to know because it's over powered by the space.

For an impromptu dinner with friend, we stopped by on a Tuesday night at 7PM. We were told 15-20 minutes for 10 of us. 43 minutes later we were seated. At this point, I feel I should have left, but the experience continues... Food: The menu is typical for hibachi, the same chicken, salmon, steak, filet, and combo options, along with a few noodle dishes, and a sushi menu. I'll get into the details about our dining experience below, but the food was good. I've never had bad hibachi cooking, it's pretty much a set in stone recipe for success. Service: I'll be honest, I was already irritated when I was seated because of the wait. A server came out a few minutes after we were seated to take our drink orders. Drinks arrived in 5-10 minutes, at which point our orders were taken. The chef came out about 30 minutes later to begin cooking our meal. There were a ton of mistakes in how our order was taken, and issues with the preparation. There weren't enough vegetables for all of us, and 2 of us waited for more vegetables to be brought out or be cooked. Two of our orders were incorrect as far a regular steak versus filet. Not sure what happened with the ventilation, but the room we were in was so smokey my eyes were burning. I would not come back here solely for the poor ventilation, but let's not forget our terrible experience with getting our food AND getting it right. We literally took bets amongst ourselves to see if our checks would come out correctly. They actually were--go figure. They mess up just about everything, but are accurate in our bills and adding on the 18% gratuity. Facilities: Located in a strip mall in the VOA area, Soho is nestled in between two sports stores. There's a large parking lot out front, and the decor is typically of any and all hibachi places you would ever to go to.

There for a kids birthday and the cooks did a great job!! They kept the attention of 10 boys aged 6 to 13. Food was great!!!

Got some carryout sushi and sashimi..... finished it all, and the price was very reasonable and their place is well decorated, will dine in next time
