Soho Lounge

The lounge is spacious and comfortable. It is designed pleasantly. Lots of sitting areas. Good showers. Just make sure you arrive well in advance, as you may need to wait for the showers. Staff is accommodating and friendly. So, why three stars? As a non drinker, and as one that prefers to sleep on a flight, the food selection is poor, including the a la carte. Only 5 options. And to be fair, they don't look that inviting.

I actually quite like this lounge. It’s cosy and has good views. Food is always the same but generally pretty delicious. Cocktails are good, I’ve never had an issue with the service. Showers are life changing as always. I wouldn’t bother with the a la carte menu it’s pretty limited.

The spread here is giving main character energy: salmon that doesn't taste like it flew coach, tortellini that would make an Italian grandmother weep tears of joy, and chicken that actually remembers what moisture is. Yes, they're serving airport sushi, and no, it won't make you regret your life choices. The space looks like a Marriott and a WeWork had a baby, blessed with enough power outlets to power a small city and mood lighting that makes everyone look like they're in their LinkedIn profile pic. Those floor-to-ceiling windows aren't just for plane spotting, they're for making your Instagram followers question their Priority Pass membership. The bar's got more glass than my ex's emotional walls, and the fireplace lounge is serving 'I'm totally not stressed about my connection' VIP realness. Bonus: Dyson hairdryers in the showers, because nothing says 'I've made it' quite like drying your hair with a month's worth of car payments. Fair warning: The shower reservation system runs on vibes and prayers, and the QR code menu system has turned ordering a burger into a tech support challenge. TLDR: It's an airport lounge that actually understood the assignment. Just don't expect the service to move at supersonic speeds, this isn't the Concorde era anymore. 🍸✈️

This is the lounge for BA gold card holders who are not flying first class. That means that even if you were in economy like me, you could use it. Visually it's great. The food and drink selection is pretty decent. Like most other lounges though it can get very crowded if several flights are leaving at once, which is the case on NY afternoon and evenings with a number of London departures.

This is a very nice lounge. The table service is reasonably fast and the made to order food is good. The buffet food is good as well. I like how the bring drinks to the table. Not super busy and not huge. This is one of the better ones!

Pretty average - to below average for a one world emerald lounge. I would rate it a 4/10 . Based mostly on poor food selections. Bar staff a bit u helpful. Toilets were clean though

As a oneworld Emerald lounge, I had high expectations for the Soho Lounge at JFK, but it left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. The one good thing is the large windows where you can watch the planes, which is a nice touch. However, I actually prefer the normal business class lounge. The lounge feels spacious, but the food experience was disappointing—it’s the same as the business class lounge menu, and it took over 20 minutes for my order to arrive. I had to follow up with the staff. While the lounge is quiet and not very crowded, which could be a plus for some, it definitely falls short compared to other oneworld Emerald lounges around the world. There’s potential here, but it could certainly be improved.

This is a large but busy lounge. There’s a few different areas though whether you wanting to relax or dine, and the section with fireplace is a great touch. I didn’t think the selection of food available at the buffet is overly great, but there are hot options available to order via the QR codes which are more impressive. It’s a staffed bar with a wide range of drinks and cocktails and the staff are all friendly. Reserving a shower was a little bizarre, which you do at the desk near the entrance but with seemingly no time slot, so you still have to queue, but they’re large and spacious with nice touches like Dyson hairdryers. It’s a dimly lit space and relaxing so ideal ahead of a long flight especially if you’re looking for some sophistication.

Very nice brand new lounge with exclusive access for passengers of American Airlines and British Airways flying in Business Class and First Class and they are in the highest status like AA Concierge Key or Executive Platinum. The lounge is very big and spacious, you don't feel cramp like in other lounges (including the Admiral). The food is very good and the servers change them often to maintain them warm and fresh. You can even request some items like burgers or a feature plate using a QR code menu. There is a full bar and they give you any drink you want and as many as you can handle :) It is not to the level of the Flagship lounge that I visited in Miami or Los Angeles but I felt very comfortable and satisfied with the food. I general a high end quality lounge to pamper you before a long flight.

JFK has 3 Admiral lounges: Soho, Greenwich and Chelsea. Each needs a specific status or seating to be admitted. SoHo has a full bar, self serve wine bar and lots of choices for hot dishes. Lots of tables and comfortable seating.

In JFK terminal 8 there are 3 lounges right after security: Chelsea, Soho, and Greenwich. The Soho Lounge is a great option especially as the Greenwich lounge is usually pretty crowded and busy and the Chelsea lounge is only for select First class flyers. On a Saturday early morning there were very few patrons in the lounge. In the dining area that had a buffet of options (cold meats, scrambled eggs) but I decided to order off the menu for an avocado burrata toast. The avocado wasn't fully ripe but the burrata and toast were great.

Quiet, large, and comfy lounge with excellent food and beautiful views of the tarmac. If you are either an elite status member or flying in Flagship First/Business or with a OneWorld alliance airline, you can get access to this lounge. The food is incredible: excellent chicken, some of the juiciest salmon, the best tortellini with charred green onions that I may have ever had, and so much more. Desserts that are incredible all line one area as well. Seating is plentiful with charging outlets at every point. There are excellent showers as well to use as long as you register at the front.

Forgot if it was a SOHO or Chelsea Lounge but whatever it may be, it's just wonderful to stop by and relax between my travels. Quiet, intimate, friendly, & relaxing atmosphere. For a frequent traveler like myself, it's a wonderful oasis. Highly recommended.

Absolutely no problem that this is supposedly less posh than the other American lounge. I was perfectly happy. Soft chairs, most had power outlets, a really nice buffet with a nice assortment of food.

Not bad. Similar to the American Airlines flagship lounge at LAX. Much better food options and aesthetics than a standard admiral's club lounge but not comparable to their Chelsea lounge next door. I have to imagine this place feels like a busy cafeteria during the afternoon and evening. Definitely inferior to many other One Word lounges that offer Emerald access but definitely preferable to non lounge options in terminal 8.

I'm not sure why this lovely lounge has a 2 star rating. I have been here several times, and with each visit, it is like an oasis after a long day or night of travel. There is a generous buffet available in addition to the option of ordering off a menu. All good and beverages are included. I enjoy the choice of multiple sitting areas. There are tables and chairs for dining as well as comfortable sitting areas to relax. This lounge is usually less crowded than other airline clubs and much more comfortable!

A GLORIFIED EAT-AS-MUCH-AS-YOU-CAN VIP airline lounges often fall into a fundamental contradiction: 1. SUPEREXCLUSIVE; they are supposed to be exclusive to very selected clients with higher quality expectations -and that is why they limit who gains access to it with great restriction-; 2. TOTALLY VULGAR; but then they end up offering awfully vulgar food and overall services that could only compete with the gastronomic and hospitality options of the airport because at the lounge food and services are free. Can you imagine ordering overcooked reheated chimichurri cauliflower in one of the 2 restaurants this terminal comprises? FOOD THAT DUALS AS BUILDING MATERIAL Food here is not good, but there is a lot of it: -2 types of supermarket-like vulgar soups. Not good. - A salad bar, not too exciting. - Potato gnocchi with squash purée (quite a blob, that cold probably work better as construction material -in the plaster or cement family than as an edible thing-. Not advisable.If you are now having the foundation of your home's extension built, you might want to consider these gnocchi as a sustainable alternative to concrete. It's consistency and overall loading capacity can for sure match those of cement but might have a lower carbon impact. Overcooked salmon. Considering the amount of cooking time that this poor salmon went through, it's carbon impact is rocketing. But definitively it has capacity to replace conventional ceramic bricks. It's be good to test what the performance of a a Soho-Lounge-Salmon-Brick can be. - Over-overcooked cauliflower with industrial chimichurri. Neither a good idea, nor a successful realization, if we think of this as food; but maybe we have in front of us a potential alternative to wall plaster. The menu is slightly better option. - The kale salad could not be more boring and unappealing. - Burgers and sandwiches are warm and do the work; but definitively are not substantially better than any cheeseburger offered in any delic that I would normally not event consider using. OTHER THINGS Service is nice. Not really super professional, but well mannered and with good intentions. Design is not surprising in any way, but it has windows to the outside. Which is pleasing, somehow. WHAT FOR? Ultimately, this lounge does not really give anything better that what you could get in the terminal in a much more lively and inclusive way. What is really the point for anyone that can afford going to one of the better restaurants in the terminal of using their dinner to consume concrete gnocchi and a vulgar burger? American Airlines should do much better in New York.

Honestly a bit confusing with the new lounge offerings these days at JFK and staff aren't able to clearly explain the differences either tbh. I spent time in this lounge and it's fresh, nicely designed featuring large windows overlooking the tarmac and gate area and a traditionally AA Admirals Club buffet. It felt like most of the other lounges with nothing really setting it apart like Flagship used to do. That said, it was open airy and inviting. Full bar and standard buffet with a number of options.
