The bad: The mattress is extremely thin and uncomfortable. Both my partner and I had back pain due to feeling the wooden slates that kept digging in our backs every night. The walls are thin, and we could hear people running up the stair throughout the night. It’s a bit confusing to get to the Teal Zone. The good: Unbeatable location Friendly staff On location food that looked good. WiFi was great!

I stayed for 3 nights with a friend of mine in a 6-bed dormitory room with a private bathroom. Staff were nice and friendly. Room is very basic, beds are ok, bathroom and showers are good. Location is excellent in the middle of all the action. shopping stores and clubs are within a walking distance in every direction from the hostel. Several nearby metro stations. I will definitely stay here again

Excellent location for walking around the city, also perfect for all the clubs in the surrounding area for nightlife. Very nice and helpful staff. Very clean toilets, as well as the whole structure, which is fundamental. I stayed in a mixed room for 8, with the essentials present and a cage to store under the bed for personal items. To be absolutely recommended for cleanliness and location. I'll be back!

A very nice hostel. The location is perfect - right in the center of Soho. The rooms are clean, quiet. The beds are comfortable enough to sleep well after a party. We liked the lobby. We had some minor issue with the elevator, but the staff solved the problem perfectly. I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Awesome hostel, very nice and kind staff. The security is superb and so is the infrastructure. The bathrooms (even if they call it shared) are private (only one person per time) and the location is terrific. The bar downstairs is cool with good and affordable pints (they even have happy hours and weekends promotions) with a kitchen. The breakfast is good and with nice options for a small price. Accepts credit cards.

I recently stayed here during my short time in London and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and made me feel welcome. I even had some thought provoking conversations and laugh with some of the staff. I slept in a 6-person mixed room with an en-suite bathroom. The accommodations were nice and always clean. The food was good (Big ups to Dex, the evening chef). For the price and location, this place is hands down my favorite place! I will most definitely be going back when I return to London. They also have a ton of events that guest can sign up for from Pub Crawls, Walking Tours, and various other tourist things. I'm truly going to miss Stewart, Hazel, Val, Marta, Lou, and the rest of the staff that made my stay so enjoyable.

The price is good. They have the best location and they serve a relative cheap continental breakfast. The prices at the bar were fine compared to the rest of the city. They have laundry (£4.5 for washing machine, dryer and soap). My biggest problem was with the rooms, they are so small that when it is full, the people and their bags do not fit well at all. Also the structure of the bunks is made of a material very, very noisy and they quake a lot when you are trying to move. The bathrooms are OK.

Very nice location and friendly staff. The room (4 bed dorm) was on the small side, but clean, and the bed was very comfortable and the duvet of good quality. Loved the common pamper room with makeup mirrors and hairdryers! Every hostel should have one. Price was good for such a central location.

I will admit it, I don't like hostels. I like privacy and I'm too introverted to enjoy sharing a room with people I don't know. But you gotta do what you gotta do when you're solo traveling and on a tight budget. I was originally going to stay at an Airbnb in London, but last-minute decided to book a hostel. Now, I am very glad that I did!! Sohostel was great. The moment I walked through the door, the receptionists were super friendly and even gave me a tour of the building and showed me to my room. Everything is just so colorful and vibrant - Just the design itself makes you feel comfortable and safe there! They had a lovely lounge room, with a giant projector screen, a snack bar and a bunch of people mingling and hanging out. I had a room with two bunk beds and it was TINY. Basically, the only place you can be is in your bed. But I didn't have a problem with that. What I loved was that there were electric outlets for each bunk, top and bottom, with USB's as well (great for international travelers!) As for location, it's in a great spot. Right in Soho and near Piccadilly Circus, many bars around, a park....I could go on. Only about a 20 minute walk to the big attractions. The price is incredibly cheap as well.. I highly recommend Sohostel for your stay in London!!

This place is unreal! Absolutely incredible! Andres the manager, Desmond the chef, and Loric with the night staff completely saved my trip. On the verge of having home their kindness and consideration was a serious help in a very difficult time I was facing while abroad. I genuinely believe these men, and this hostel, have your best interest in mind and are there for you regardless the circumstances. I'd like to say thank you to the entire team for the cleanliness, hospitality and overall kindness were amazing a did not go unnoticed. Cheers to the next time

This review was for the stay in Summer 2019. A definite winner for solo-travellers whose intention is visit the city and need a 6-by-3 space to crash, well and good if it's a bed... Voila!! That is exactly wat Sohostel offers. I have never stayed at a hostel and really wanted to try it n hence this experiment and I must admit it was a good choice. The receptionists are great, since the hostel is in the heart of the city, you gotta knock and receptionist lets u thru. But otherwise you can go around to your rooms using the colored walls as a route guide. A lil storage cage in the 4-in-1 room (2 bunks) is plenty to store your backpack if you are travelling lite. A power-outlet assigned for each bed that has USB port as well are good features thought thru keeping international travellers in mind. The lil cafeteria offers selected beers as BOGO during Happy Hours which was priced great even otherwise and the small bites menu is different on each day which was great as well. Great stay, Great Location, Great for singles travelling on a budget and wouldn't wanna splurge on hotels.

If you're just looking for the basics for a great, low price, this place is for you! My fiancé and I stayed in a single room for three nights, paying next to nothing. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. In addition, the Sohostel had everything we needed - nice showers, washrooms, and even a place to get late night snacks and drinks. You can even buy toiletries and other useful necessities from the front desk. The area was so-so (a bit of a trek from the sights) and the room did get hot at times (but they do provide a powered fan). But as students willing to settle for a bit less for an amazing price, it was worth it. Would 100% recommend to other students and youth travellers.

Has all the amenities you need/want in a hostel. Staff is friendly. It's clean. Breakfast is decent. What's gonna make or break your experience is your flat mates. Ours wasn't the best but it's not the hostel's fault. Great place to stay would recommend. It's near public transport and a supermarket.

My room smelled like balls. I get that I can't always expect a fresh Downey scent when I book a shared dorm but this was due to lack of proper ventilation. There were only two other guys in my room and every smell that emanated from us hung in the air like skunk farts. If you can't relate to this due to your gender, imagine the steamy moist vaginal version of this. I'm sure the female rooms can't smell much better with sealed windows either. On my second day I did laundry on-site. The only working machines were in a completely enclosed room. This is okay for a wash cycle but the dryer turned the laundry room into a sauna. I had to prop open every door on the second floor and my clothes still wouldn't dry. The neighborhood is fun but the hostel is complete shit. Anyone who says they enjoyed their stay here is likely just happy to be away from their parents for the first time in their lives.

Awesome hostel! Great rate! Friendly staff! Clean! Daily Happy Hour, good food, and ton of activities to offer! This is my first hostel and if the rest are like this place, hostels may become my preferred method of lodging while I travel!

It is a modern and clean Hostel in the heard of Soho. The hostel is only 10 minutes walking-way far from Piccadilly-, Tottenham Court- or Oxford Circus Station. The Hostel inside is designed with colors on white walls. The 4-bed-dorm is fitted with two double-stock-beds. You can store your baggage in a small cage under the bed, which can be closed with a lock. Valuable things can be put into a safe, that is fitted in the staff-room, and only available for staff. The showers and toilets were cleaned several time the day. The reception is open 24 hours a day. You get a small continental breakfast-buffet in the breakfast-room and if you like, you'll grade-up that to an english breakfast, for less money. The breakfast-room changes into a bar for the evening. The bar is open longer than midnight. On sunny days I enjoyed my drinks in the roof-bar, that's open until 9pm. The staff is friendly and relaxed. Go on so....!!!!
