"Driving through Lincoln Tunnel to get across the Hudson feels like a cosmic punishment, and there are only a handful of good reasons to do it. SoJo Spa Club is one of them. This Korean spa in Edgewater, New Jersey has four floors of saunas and pools, as well as a rooftop infinity pool with a perfect view of the Manhattan skyline. There’s also a food hall, because after that exhausting steam room session, you’ll need some sustenance. Robes on, head to SoJo’s dining area before hitting the salt saunas. If you’re looking for your typical spa food, they’ve got an extensive juice bar, protein-packed sandwiches, and, the king of all spa foods: the poke bowl. But don’t leave without trying some of their Korean-leaning dishes. The sirloin bulgogi has something from all five food groups, including vermicelli noodles, greens, and enoki mushrooms. Get some fried vegetable dumplings on the side, and enjoy looking back at New York beyond the huge windows. photo credit: Alex Staniloff" - Neha Talreja

Traveled to Jersey to visit my sis from Michigan. We’ve been looking at doing this spa trip for over a year. It was a WONDERFUL experience overall! 95% of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and made you feel like they cared about your experience. I would like to give a special shout out to Jadalyn, she was exceptionally great & memorable! The scenery was very pretty overall and the food was AMAZING!!!!! The place was also EXTREMELY clean!!!! Suggestions for management that would have made this a 5 star experience: -The arrival and mass of people checking in together was overwhelming & not the energy one wants to feel when they are getting ready to go relax so perhaps break up check-in times to smaller groups. -On that note, I would consider slightly reducing the # of people that are allowed to be in there at once. People had to wait for certain spots all day and night long. -Improve your wi-fi. There was barely any availability of internet connection in there & I have a good phone/plan. Staff it was normal but definitely something to consider.

This place lived up to the hype plus some!!!! It literally blew me away! If I could give 100 stars I would. And I believe I found my new favorite Spa. And yes, I'd travel the 3 hours from Pennsylvania as well. I'm a Spa enthusiasts, been to many spas from Pa to VA to NJ Pros: 📍It is cheap considering you can spend the whole day there and most days they close close to midnight 😲. Remember this is a Korean Day Spa. 📍 There is 8 floors of therapy rooms. As well as baths, and pools, and this place has the famous infinity ♾️ Pool 📍Amazing Staff 📍Top Notch Cleanliness 👌( I mean like all the way down to slippers in the bathroom 😲) 📍Not all Areas are Nude unlike most Korean Spas. You may wear your swimsuit in Almost every area. 📍You get a Robe here, unlike most spas don't provide them without a fee 📍Amazing for celebrating occasions with friends or a partner Cons: 📍Be aware, Most of the employees don't speak English. 📍Food was way overpriced, be aware you paying $12 to $16 just for a salad. 📍 Once you are in there is no going back out the building unless it's for smoking. 📍 I didn't realize till after that there is a free parking area down right from the building. When you pull up to the building to check in, there is valet for a fee( they park your car and you don't receive it till your done). 📍 A bit overcrowded during the day and thinned out in the evening. 📍 Bag check ✔️ when you check in. 📍Easy to get Lost there is so much and so many floors 📍 First Spa I been to that provides a Volcano Bath and Hydrotherapy ( Both were not included with Day Pass.) ( I believe I paid $15-$25 for each) 📍 Take a person, I went alone and it could have been better with a friend or something.

I purchased the couple’s massage experience that comes with a two hour complimentary visit to the facility and complimentary valet parking. The therapist were amazing and we had a wonderful massage experience. I felt so relaxed right after my visit at the spa. There are different sauna rooms and baths you can explore. I would come back in the near future.

Came here with my best friend for her birthday weekend and we had such a relaxing experience! This was also my first time being at a spa overall so this was a perfect way to start my spa experience! This spa is super clean, organized, LARGE, and had something for literally everyone to enjoy! The place is also very pretty throughout! The food court also had pretty good options to choose from! Loved it! Come here for a relaxing weekend after a hard work week or just to celebrate, either way, you’re going to enjoy yourself!

Love this Spa. Very professional service! Top notch quality! Spotless! Very clean! Everything is in order. Food quality is amazing also the Korean body scrub experience was amazing as well! Loved the hydro water therapy, also the many different types of pool. Beautiful view of Manhattan and Hudson River. Finally a place with healing mineral water pools in the USA.

Google
What an amazing spa experience! I felt like I wasn't even in New Jersey. A birthday gift from my daughters for the 3 of us to enjoy a day at this top-rated NJ spa and it was beyond any expectations I had! The Korean bath spa had multiple pools, saunas, steam rooms + for an additional fee you can get massages and other extras. Lockers, bathrobes, towels are provided. Cell phones are not suggested although most guests do carry them around with them. There is free parking in a lot one block away from the spa, or you can valet your car for a fee at the spa itself. You can walk up the 7 floors to various wellness activities or take an elevator. The spa includes free yoga classes several times during the day, and there is even a hotel on site (which we did not use). The dining area offers many options to choose from and there is a phenomenal view of the Manhattan skyline. Will definitely return. I gave 4 starts instead of 5. There should be more hooks for bathrobes outside of some of the pool areas. Also, the towels the spa provides are too small.

I went on a Friday , surprisingly not busy ! I enjoyed all the saunas ! I was able to take a nap in the quiet area and go back to relaxation . They had body wash , shampoo, conditioner in the locker room. Lotion and hair dryer ! Don’t forget your brush ! I wish I had brought mine. Loved the atmosphere! So clean !! So many people around to ensure everyone was safe, and all areas clean! Would recommend !

I am contemplating moving to New Jersey because of this spa. Okay, not really, but I am trying to figure out how to get here at least once a year. I went with a group of friends. We only used the day pass, no additional services. I found the pricing to be reasonable and wish we had gotten there earlier to enjoy more time. (We got there at 3pm, stayed till close at 9:30, paid $120 each.) We went on a Friday which was somewhat crowded but not too crowded to enjoy all the amenities. I have been to quite a few spas in Vegas and on the west coast… this is the best I have ever been to… nothing else quite like it.

Yelp
definitely the nicest spa i've been to! you can easily spend a whole day there. there's a few different floors with some different stuff to do on each floor. you're also paying for hospitality; you will have endless workers opening doors for you, greeting you, and guiding you. food is great, i loved the smoothie i got! MUST get the ultimate warrior. BEST SMOOTHIE I'VE HAD IN A WHILE. mahi mahi sandwich was also pretty good, portions are definitely shareable. TIP: the mushroom pool on the 4th floor is lowkey better than the one on the 7th

Yelp
Visited Sojo on a Saturday for a special occasion with a group of girls. This was my first visit, so I was overwhelmed by how big the place is. It's quite an elaborate operation, which begins from the moment you park your car. They have free parking in a gravel lot just down the road from the main entrance - the attendant needs to see proof of a reservation before he'll let you drive in. After you walk up the street to the main entrance, you enter a queue to begin the multi-step check in process. The check in process for 6 people took forever. First, they need to check everyone's IDs, sign waivers, go through a long list of rules, assign you a wrist band (which you will use throughout your visit) and print out your receipts so you can move on to the next phase of check in. The second step is the bag search - they checked my bag more seriously than they do when I go to a big concert. They will confiscate any drinks/snacks. Final step was taking off your shoes and placing them in a locker. They are a barefoot establishment. Finally, about 20 minutes later, we were able to take the elevator up to the 4th floor where the locker rooms are, and we picked up our required robes and changed into just our bathing suits. The locker rooms were very clean and they had plenty of towels & vanity space to clean up after your visit. Sojo is a bit stingy when it comes to how much time you get to utilize the spa club. We had booked $215 massages, which includes 2 hours of complimentary access to the amenities. If we wanted to stay longer than 2 hours, we had to pay 50% of the daily admission cost. But that only granted us another 2 hours which the 1-hour massage was deducted from. You had to make sure you self-checked out on the 4th floor within the allotted time frame, otherwise they'd automatically charge you. Finding your way around is a bit confusing. Sojo doesn't have a simple map of the facilities on their website, nor do they give you a brochure when you arrive. If they had floor by floor maps on their site, this would allow folks the option to fully plan their visit and maximize their time. By each staircase, it lists what's on each floor. I feel like we wasted time trying to find things and figuring out what to do. We never even made it up to the 7th floor infinity pool since we didn't realize it was an option. The silk bath was very relaxing, but the carbon rich bath could've been a little bit warmer to enjoy in the chilly temperatures. The hydrotherapy pool has new views of the city. The ice room felt nice after enjoying time in the charcoal sauna and Himalayan salt saunas. It was very crowded on a Saturday, so finding a comfortable spot to sit or lay and relax was hard. To be honest, not sure if I relaxed much in those 2 hours leading up to my massage - it felt very ADHD moving from sauna to bath to sauna to bath. Was hard to feel present in any one of the rooms/baths since I was constantly checking the time and worried about what else I could squeeze in. When it came time for our massages, we were impressed by how many treatment rooms they had on the 5th floor. There were easily 25+ people waiting for massages all at 1 pm. My masseuse, Ramona, must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day. She wasn't friendly at all, at times downright rude. Luckily, my friends' masseuses were kinder, even offered them fresh robes and disposable undergarments to wear during the massage. Sadly, I didn't have the same experience. The massage was still good, however, Ramona left a bad taste in my mouth. All in all, we all had a great time at Sojo. I would like to visit again, this time more prepared and on a weekday when its less crowded/ cheaper admission. The spring is probably a nice time to visit or the fall, when its not too cold to utilize the outdoor amenities. Some tips: Research the baths/saunas/treatments ahead of time on their website so you have a clear plan for allocating your limited time. Bring a refillable water bottle otherwise you have to purchase bottles or use small paper cups. Eat before you come - the food court options weren't bad but its not amazing and its pricy. Eating also cuts into your precious time utilizing the spa. Its cheaper on weekdays and the price varies throughout the month.

Yelp
Valet parking. My first time here. They give you a robe and locker to put your belongings. Theres pool, saunas , massages (cost extra), etc. I love the sauna rooms. The infinity pool has a great view. When i saw the big recliner chairs i thought they were massage chairs but sadly they weren't. But the chairs are very comfy to take naps in . The whole experience is very relaxing. You can literally spend the whole day here. Food was surprisingly very good, reasonable price and the portions are huge. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
After taking a couple years break from this place, I have concluded that this is the best spa in the north east. They're just so many options here and the location is unbeatable. They are so accommodating to their guest as they have a workspace room if you need to get some work done as well as a hotel and various delicious food options. The convenience is definitely necessary for someone who is busy and looking for a lot of variety. They have multiple sauna rooms that accommodate all different types of people and is also very interesting.

Yelp
This was a really unique and fun experience! There's so much to do, my friends and I went from like 10-6. We went during the winter time and a weekday. There were still a lot of people but not so much I felt overwhelmed rather than relaxed. It's also entirely shoe free place so get a pedi! Lol There is just so much to try out and we actually got a real massage there and it was so delightful. My favorite pools were the outside warm pools. And even though it was freezing out, this system still works even primarily outside. Also their food was so good! A little pricey but oh well it was yummy. As for price, because I went in "off season" the daily entrance see was waived so I paid for the massage which was I think about $120-130

Yelp
I went here on a Monday in December at 9 AM when they open. They offer valet parking for $15, but the valet is just going to take your car one block over to the self park lot, which is free. They'll validate a ticket for you inside the building. The parking lot is monitored by an employee. Prices vary for general admission, depending on the day. You can browse costs online. I found the price to be fair for what you get in general admission. Wear a suit, they give you a robe for the day, towels are everywhere, water fountains everywhere, plenty of staff too. My visit was excellent and really relaxing for the first few hours. By lunchtime though, it started to get crowded and I can see why that deters people. In the AM, I had access to any pool, bath, sauna or experience I wanted. With more people there though, it's a different feel. Some groups just talk and talk rather than relax. Some couples smooch a bit. Otherwise though, I think there's a lot to offer here. So many hydrotherapy pools, others types of pools, different saunas for different health benefits, an infinity pool overlooking the city and river, plus other things that cost extra if you're interested. We spent over 5 hours here with just the general admission, across 4 floors. We had a nice break for lunch in the cafe. The poke bowl was large, fresh and delicious. No need to pour soy sauce on it either as it comes dressed with ginger. The locker room and shower facilities were nice too. They have a single suit dryer for use and provide bags to take home anyone wet. I'd definitely return, but again during off times.

Farhana M.

Yelp
Annual trip to Sojo included a complimentary pair of socks. They sell the socks for $4.50 inside of the locker room. These socks are worth it to walk around in as they dont provide slippers. I got a hot chocolate and its powdered mix, topped with a ton of whipped cream and the toasted marshmallows. Just the toppings alone is a decadent, sweet experience. Leaving the hot chocolate to be very bland in comparison. This place can benefit patrons by adding more hot stone beds. They're so busy and always taken especially on the weekend

Tina G.

Yelp
This place really fell short of my expectations. I frequent Island Sauna and Spa for less than half the price of Sojo and it is infinitely better. Yes, the views are nice but that's it. It's crowded, but more than that it is dirty. The saunas are carpeted, don't look clean, and are not very absorbent so if someone was sweating or not dry enough from the pools- it leaves a nice residue where the person laid. The pools were also not nearly warm enough for winter. Food and drink options are limited compared to other places. Will not be returning.

Yelp
Ive visited SoJo a few times but never reviewed. The views are amazing. Its always seemed way too crowded, no matter what the weather is outside. The venue is beautiful and staff is very well organized. Even as a party of one, you need to reserve prior to coming to this place. The price at $140 on a weekend is extremely too steep. It is probably why I would not visit again. I enjoyed the pools, the rock path is not my favorite, but I did enjoy the Japanese silk bath. I opted for a salt bath for an additional fee of $20 and it was not easy. I was buried under the salt bath from beck to toe. We were required to wear a special robe and nothing else. I could only stay under for about 10 minutes. Overall, good experience, way too overpriced

Yelp
Finally made it here after years of hearing mixed things. I loved our visit. Came with girlfriends for a much needed self care day and that we did. Pros: - Stunning and large space. - The staff are really professional, kind and go above with service. - I got there around 10 am on NYC marathon Sunday so I think it was less busy than normal and loved the hour or so of an uncrowded space. Spent a ton of time in the women's bathhouse and it's perfect to experience essentially all facets of the ritual minus the steam room without having to switch to multiple rooms or levels (sauna, cold plunge, heated bath). - The rooftop infinity pool has a stunning view of the NYC skyline and even more so during sunset. - The cafeteria food is actually delicious and reasonably priced. Loved the vegan bimbap bowl. There's also a cafe bar on the rooftop but Sad, no matcha! Or decaf coffee. The monkey bread is tasty though. Cons: I wasn't incredibly impressed with the different saunas on the other level (clay, Himalayan salt, etc.) and didn't love that they're carpeted. It felt less sanitary seeing the visible sweat spot of the person that was laying there prior. I also found it annoying that although No Phone signs are posted some patrons chose to pass the time scrolling on their phone in the sauna, even taking videos and selfies. - SoJo practices barefoot or socks. They don't give out silicone slippers like other bathhouses I've visited. After a few plunges and baths, barefoot feels gross walking through an entire building. - Didn't love my Korean body scrub. It felt factory like. They also don't give you the exfoliating sponge they use on you and I just prefer to either see it or know that it's discarded afterwards and single use. All in all, it's definitely worth a visit and we'll likely be back. The outdoor pools are heated and it was pretty chilly the day we went and I didn't feel much of a temperature shock when visiting the outdoor spaces. So definitely doable in the winter.

Yelp
SoJo Spa Club is absolutely amazing. To get started, highly recommend their reservation. We went for my bachelorette party, and since there were six of us, I called in. Online you can only make reservations for a group of five. For what you can get here, the price is reasonable for the entrance fee. Without getting a massage or extras, it still is a great experience. I love the ambience and how clean it is. Plus they have sort of strict policies but they should as people are here to relax in peace (away from their phones/pictures). It also felt safe with lockboxes and lockers throughout the area. Highly recommend at least 4-6 hours there. Which may seem like a lot but it isn't. Time flies when you're relaxing! I wish I lived closer as I would be a frequent visitor!

Patricia M.

Yelp
So Sojo is not worth the price tag. We went here on a Thursday and there was a massive line to get in despite having reservations. They also have heat lamps that are brutal. They have valet parking or you can drive further along and park in a lot. The interior needs some updating like there were loose tiles and cracks in the ceiling. For $90 a person, which was the lowest amount for the month of December, they should have a nicer facility. With that said, the facility was clean. They provide robes and a towel and there are extra small towels near the pools and saunas. The pools were heated and the saunas were perfectly warm. We really enjoyed the pools and saunas. There were a lot of services that were extra which I didn't appreciate. The service was weird. Some of the staff were way too assertive.

Lexie K.

Yelp
Well organized. Friendly staff walking you through every step Need to be barefoot in the facility. Shoe check is up front after security check but you can keep your shoes for the rooftop. Tons of great amenities included in the daily pass. Multiple pool options and tons of saunas. Ultimate warrior smoothie was good and refreshing mid day. Bacon blue salad is delish. Light dressing was perfect. Vodka pizza was very flavorful.

Quiana W.

Yelp
I've been to Sojo twice and it truly is a beautiful space. It's a very large space with several floors of pure relaxation. I definitely enjoyed trying all of the sauna rooms. My favorite was the Himalayan salt room, charcoal room, and the ice room. I do think they should provide more clarity and instruction on each room like which would be better first, etc. The pools are a nice touch. The smaller outdoor pools I prefer to the larger pool. The larger infinity pool Is for that instagram moment that you see people posted in. Both times going I had a massage. Probably the best massage in my life. The masseuses were both trained very well and their techniques were excellent. I had the deep tissue massage which is pricey but worth it especially for an anniversary or birthday gift. I've had the food in the food court and for me it was underwhelming. It gave school lunch time vibes and I felt the selections weren't that great. Overall a really great experience at Sojo. I only wish it was more of a quaint atmosphere and limited to parties of two as it tends to get crowded and less relaxing with groups.

Yelp
4.5 stars A group of us went to the Sojo Spa Club in Edgewater NJ to celebrate a big birthday. I am not much of a spa person so expectations were moderate and I was not really sure what to expect. We valet checked in the car, put our shoes in a locker and then went to the 4th floor to check in the rest of our items and put on a bathing suit and robe. No drinks or bottles are allowed. Its a no alcohol facility. We enjoyed a multitude of soaking tubs in different temperatures, spas with different variations (salt, charcoal) and temperature- some up to 188 degrees. A chill room, cold plunge... There were other spa options at a cost and there was a nice lunch room with many food and beverage options. Our final event was the top floor pool (94 degrees) with stunning views of NYC. My assessment was that the facility was clean, well-staffed, organized and it offered good value ($140 per per day for the full day). Interesting that many of the previous reviews on Yelp think the day rate cost is too high.... Everything is tracked with a water-proof bracelet that allows to you track purchases when you check out. It is a fun and relaxing day when the temperatures are cold in NY/NJ in January. I can see why it is popular. There are even guestrooms if you want to make it a weekend or multiday stay. Sorry no photos as our phones were locked away.

Kira B.

Yelp
I have been here multiple times and the place has always been very crowded. The massage services are expensive for what they are, but the masseuses are strong, friendly, quiet, and knowledgeable. I appreciate that Sojo runs specials which enable you to gain free admission for the rest of the day after spa services. But, for the price, I think this should be standard if you get a spa treatment (usually they just give you two hours of free admission afterwards, and then a discount for any remaining hours). All in all, this is a great spot if you want to experience the novelty of a day spa complex with the backdrop of NYC. But it's not the most relaxing atmosphere in that there are plenty of couples and individuals floating around who seem to be only concerned with snapping pics for Insta or snogging their significant other. That changes the vibe and makes it less about unwinding and more about a photoshoot. The variety of pools and jets are entertaining, and in the fall they put out tents and warmers to keep the air from being chilly as you're getting in and out of the water. Sometimes it's a bit gross to consider how many people are in these pools, but they do a good job overall at keeping things clean. The food is really baller. Tuna poke all the way. Expensive but they give you a massive portion. They also have really tasty dairy free tangerine "ice cream" and a Blue Majik activated charcoal drink which I'd highly recommend after a nice sweat in a sauna. And your depleted electrolytes will thank you if you end up eating their French fries because the salt level is ideal. One thing to note though: it was pretty disappointing to hear construction noise going on in the back courtyard while visiting recently. This activity should be reserved for non business hours because people pay to relax, not listen to grinding and such. I believe they were working on what was previously a waterfall when I noticed this. That's the kind of thing that is a big turnoff.

Maria V.

Yelp
I had a relaxing time here with some friends! There are so many pools and saunas to choose from. The food options are also great, with plenty of healthy options. I tried the Tonkotsu ramen and the rice bulgogi bowl, and both were absolutely delicious. After eating, you can unwind in the hot beds or lounge in the quiet area to relax or even take a nap. In the locker rooms, there's also a cold plunge pool. The infinity pool on the 7th floor offers an amazing view of the city. They offer massages, body scrubs, and even a volcanic sand treatment. Theres plenty of showers available in the locker rooms with soap, shampoo and conditioner. If you're looking for the perfect place to unwind and recover, go here! Remember to bring your bathing suit. I'd recommend visiting on weekdays, as it can get crowded on weekends.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Sojo Spa Club is the perfect oasis in Edgewater. Over the summer, I spent an entire weekday there relaxing. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are on a vacation! It's very easy to spend most of your day at Sojo because of all the amenities that are offered. There are various pools, steam rooms, and saunas. Each pool or experience has an informational post explaining the health benefits. The top floor has stunning views with lots of chairs to catch some sun rays. I loved the pool on the top floor because you can relax and have a gorgeous view. While relaxing, you can stop for lunch at the food court. There's a great selection and lots of available seating. You can also book in advance facials and massages. The process upon entering Sojo is very organized. There's an initial checkpoint where you stop at the lockers and get your robe and towels for the day. For the full relaxation experience, I would recommend leaving your phone in the lockers to unwind. It was $120 to enter for the day, but well worth it. There's a ton of staff who help keep the spa clean and efficient. I highly recommend going on a weekday for less of a crowd. I look forward to visiting again.

Brenda V.

Yelp
Sojo spa is a perfect upscale hotel and spa. They offer a good variety of saunas, including dry and steam options, and even a salt sauna, which is a nice touch. The infinity pool is well-designed and provides a pleasant view to the city, though it's not huge. The hot and cold plunge pools are refreshing, giving you the chance to alternate between temperatures, which can be quite relaxing. The place is clean and well-maintained, food is amazing everything we've eaten there tastes fresh, and the staff is friendly. This is a great spot for a day date with your spouse

Cee E.

Yelp
Long overdue for a return visit. I came for a deep tissue massage and stayed for two complimentary hours with a friend. My last visit was on a weekday. I forgot how awful the crowds are on weekends. It feels like pure at a public pool. Sure, the crowd is a little better behaved (generally) but it's still way too crowded. I do enjoy the facilities here and they go to great lengths to keep it spotless even with the crowds. However, the bigger draw for me and why I keep coming back is their massages. It feels like a luxury experience that's worth the price tag. I learned today that they have about 60 massage therapists. That's a lot of staff. However, I have yet to have a bad experience. They're all very well trained it seems. The pools and saunas are nice and it seems like they're expanding some of their offerings, but they do seem a little bit redundant at times. Not too much difference between the various pools and sauna experiences. In general, my experience with check in and checkout has been positive. Today I did have one staff member who i thought was rude and unhelpful. However, when I brought this to the attention of management; they took it very seriously , which I appreciate. A few things to note: They do charge automatic 20% gratuity in service when you check out on the 4th floor. If you want to change the default, you'll need to go to the first floor. If you're enjoying a service, your complimentary two hours need to be immediately after. If you leave and come back, you'll have to pay 50% of the admission price. Every service includes complimentary valet.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Interesting place. I've heard soooo many good things about SoJo and I was soooo excited when my son got my a gift card for the spa. I've never been so the whole experience was kinda odd and confusing. We waited on a line to drop our car with the valet, we waited on line to get into the spa, we waited in line to check in . It was a lot of waiting! We never got a debrief or orientation on where to go or what to do. We kinda wondered around. We also didn't really understand what services we received with the gift card or how much time we were allowed at the spa. We asked three people and got three different answers. We got there when then spa opened so for the first 90 minutes it was great. We kinda had the place to ourselves. Then we had our massages which were good but not the best ever. After the massages things went downhill. The spa was very very busy and we couldn't really enjoy the facilities as much. It would have been nice if the limit the amount of people allowed in the spa. Would I go again? Probably not if I had to pay. Or maybe try to go during the week.

Great local spa. Five floors. Too many pools. Saunas. $100 for the day. Relax and enjoy the views and the pools. Free parking or valet it. You can't bring your own food but bring your own water bottle.

Yelp
Came back on Nov 24. The location continues to be super clean, the whole photo shoot has been taken down. I like the plexi glass everywhere, although tasteless, it created a more distant, and organized environment, Thank goodness for taking down that cascading water influencer wall. That used to be one big photo shoot and the bathrooms would be covered with make up artist prepping for it. That wasn't the case this time around. You are strictly there for a spa experience and thats the way it should be. I ordered the couples massage, and I was specific with a deep tissue request. I told the receptionist and masseuse, however, instead I received a plethora of oil rubbed on my skin as if I'd asked for aroma therapy. I didn't like it at all. The massage lacked relaxation, total decompression, and the re energized feel after. I came out exactly how I came in, only drenched in oil. It was my first with my husband and he wasn't blown away. That was a disappointment as I had wanted to impress him and make couple massages our thing. I usually also like to buy some oils to take home. I didn't even bother. I went straight to the shower. It was gross. Im better off getting the chair massage at the mall. FYI $430 for two, totally not worth it. The Halo-therapy is a waste of money. I naturally suffer from allergy. This is supposed to clear congestion and help you breathe. I felt exactly the same. So much so that I left 10 minutes before my time. Today, Everything is overpriced. I also realized that the overall service isn't there for the price you pay. I highly doubt i will return and will share my experiences with many. The bathrooms are still clean and you still have the best industrial shampoo, conditioner and body wash over any gym. It smells very nice and leaves a nice feel on the skin and hair. Another tip: please include larger towels for full coverage after the shower. 2 stars for bringing back the Spa Vibe

Yelp
Monday was my second time at SoJo Spa Club, and overall I loved it. The price of admission has gone up dramatically since my last visit in 2019, and they no longer offer a military discount for that (only for add-on services and food). The last time I think I paid about $55, and this time it was $120/person. Other than that, we had a great experience. The spa wasn't crowded at all on a Monday, and the staff were friendly and professional. We started with the infinity pool on the top floor, which had an incredible view of the New York skyline. Next, we tried out the many different baths, saunas, and the ice room. My favorite was the Himalayan Salt Sauna, but the variety was so fun. We finished with the Hydrotherapy Pool, which was also amazing. The jets were so powerful and provided incredible foot and back massages. We ended up staying for 5+ hours without getting food or buying any add-on services, so there was plenty to do. The facilities were clean and luxurious, with lots of thoughtful touches and no shortage of photo ops. Expensive but so relaxing!

Yelp
This place is lovely, well-run and an exceptional respite close to the city when you need to unwind. I've been here several times and each time I leave feeling rejuvenated (but I also take a day off during the week to avoid weekend crowds!). There's so much one can do here with an assortment of saunas, dipping pools, a hydrotherapy pool, the heated infinity pool, massages, relaxation zones. Plus, the cafe is great (albeit a bit pricey). But everything's is clean, organized , a helpful staff- so whether you go alone or go with a group, they make sure you're living your best spa life and you'll find you've spent a whole day relaxing without knowing where all the time went. Will continue to go here for all my chill needs!

Yelp
Food 10/10 This is not a restaurant but the food options are pretty decent for a spa. I like to come here before lunch just so I can spend more hours here Spa 10/10 There are quite a few big spa options around New York. This one is by far my favorite based on food, different steam room, and pools. It's cheaper if you can come here on a week day. It's less crowded too Ambiance 10/10 Overall clean! It's always a turn off when you go to a spa and you see hair, mold somewhere. I've been here 3 times already, and I can say that this place is a 10 in terms of how clean it is

Yelp
Good vibes at this spa with a view but certainly considered a treat. Definitely a great gift to give or receive! I came on a Saturday and there was a crowd but it wasn't unbearable. A weekend day pass ran us about $125 per person under a group rez ($500 total, plus add-ons) so it's up there, price-wise. There are about 7(?) floors to explore, and lots of add-ons like massages, scrubs, and treatments, in addition to the day pass. There is, of course, the iconic infinity pool that has a great view of the NYC skyline, the famous footpath with rocks big and small (and sharp and smooth!), a larger pool with powerful hydrotherapy, silk baths, saunas, a CO2-focused hot tub, etc. There is definitely a good amount to explore and find what fits your vibe (or try everything like I did). Getting into the saunas to dry off after soaking in the water was a great idea given to me by a SoJo veteran. As for amenities, they even have a fitness center for yogis and those who want to get a quick pump in with a view. Something I noted: the locker rooms are pretty strict about not having phones and the womens' locker room felt like a very safe environment. I hope everybody has/had the same experience. When you first arrive, you have to put your shoes in a locker. Something I didn't realize is you have to check out at the end of your visit with your wristband on the screens in the central area when you enter/ leave the locker rooms. Another funny thing is, vapes and smoking are not allowed. I forgot I had a loose vape in my bag and they took it for safe keeping (LOL), bagged it up, labeled it, and gave it back to me at the end of my time at SoJo, from the box of shame. But it was no biggie. They also have food for purchase, things like salads, pizza, sandwiches, and bowls, coffee, etc. I didn't get any food since I went to brunch beforehand, but I will say: don't miss out on the SoJo hot chocolate -- the toasted marshmallow atop this hot treat created the perfect sip after spending time in the infinity pool. The food seemed alright in my opinion. Instead, I'd recommend: have breakfast/brunch in Edgewater area, head to your reservation for Sojo afterwards, stay until closing/ however late you prefer, and plan for dinner nearby or even make it into the city. Overall, good experience - don't hype it up TOO much, it's a vibe for sure but a pretty penny for the view.

Yelp
Would not have had as a great of a time if we went on a weekend! We came on a weekday, during one of the cheaper days, with the cheapest admission price being $110 each. If you're coming from NYC, take the NJ Transit bus 158 at Port Authority. Even on a weekday, there was a line when we arrived. From my experience, it would be best to come in the morning or evening! The place was heavily staffed, with people monitoring the locker rooms, pools, and with someone always cleaning. As dirty as it can get with how packed it is, SoJo does a terrific job in keeping things clean and tidy! Compared to other saunas I been to, which were Korean style, this not only offered the same hot saunas and ice room, but also pool related amenities! Think therapeutic water jets, heated pools with health benefits. And the infinity pool, which wasn't anything special. They also got the harshest security there. Pools are more crowded than the hot saunas. There was a good variety of food, with the sleekest food hall that also has an outdoor area. I regret my basic BLTA ($19) with the dry bread, but the Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich ($22) was worth a try! It was fun touring the whole 4 floors and seeing how everything connects. There's an additional Outdoor Grill and Rooftop Garden, which opens after Memorial Day! Where it's located, there's not much of a view except barren land. But when you catch it on a good weather, the bright skies are enough to feel at peace. SoJo is of course, very pricey, but treat yourself! On a weekday.

Yelp
Sojo spa is a definite go-to if you are looking for a place to wind down and relax. Its quite accessible if you're in Jersey and a quick drive across the river if you're located in the city. They offer valet which is convenient since there aren't many parking spots nearby. The service from the staff was great from start to finish. The spa has a good workflow and positioning of staff to direct you throughout the spa and help you get the most of your experience. There are several saunas/pools you can rotate through freely with your general admission. Additional amenities such as massages can be acquired with an added expense. The general admission was sufficient for what we were looking for and I think overall its a good experience even without add-ons. The food was surprisingly very good. Lots of variety available and food tasted fresh with quick service. My overall impression is that the spa is clean and a peaceful getaway. Unfortunately, I do think the general admission is pricey and so are the massages. Also think the view from the heated pool was just ok.

Yelp
Finally had the opportunity to spend the day here with a friend late last year. The facilities were gorgeous and vast, especially the Infinity Pool on the rooftop. In addition, the interior was festively decorated for the holidays. My friend and I checked in, received our robe and towel, changed into our bathing suits, then started with the warm pools on the same level. Each one had different properties and felt wonderfully relaxing. There was also a lovely waterfall, giving the place a peaceful ambiance. We continued onto different floors, and came across foot massage area (which had rocks / stones with water, and actually didn't feel so great). Then we checked out the Infinity Pool, which had an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. We returned during the evening to enjoy an even more stunning sight. We went to the area with Volcanic Sand Bath, which is a Japanese practice and this is the only place it is done in North America. The sand is actually imported from Japan. We thought the experience would be very expensive, so it's a good thing I noticed that it was only $20. We signed up for the next available time. The Volcanic Sand Bath consisted of 5 steps. The first was to change into a pretty pale pink Yukata, then we laid in the hot, steamy sand and our whole body (except head) was covered in the sand. For the next 10 minutes, we relaxed, which was a bit difficult to do under so much heavy, warm sand. I had to do a lot of breathing exercises and praying. Afterwards, I did feel rejuvenated. However, I would not recommend this is you get claustrophobic or too hot easily. For lunch, the cafeteria area was quite spacious and offered an Asian inspired menu. I decided to get the Bulgogi with noodles and salad. The Bulgogi was marinated in flavorful, savory and slightly sweet sauce. It was succulent and juicy. We continued onto the floor with all the sauna rooms, massage chairs, as well as floor to ceiling windows. I enjoyed the Himalayan Salt Sauna, and the Ice Room, which felt oh so refreshing after visiting the various saunas. Next, we spent a long time at the hydro pool with massage jets. The water was perfectly hot tub temperature and I loved the feel of underwater massage. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our time there. In order to get there, my friend and I met at Port Authority to take a bus over, which dropped us off across the street. The weekend Day Pass is a little pricey at $135, but it's worth it to go once in a while for a full day of pampering.

Yelp
This was my first time coming to this place. There was a lot of hype on social media made about this place. Everything lived up to the hype as far as I saw it. They have some amazing hydrotherapy pools. My wife and I thought we would only spend a couple of hours here, but we ended up staying the whole day. They have breathtaking views of NYC and an infinity pool on the top floor. For $95 per person, I can say this was a great experience. My wife and I WILL be back again....and again!

Yelp
SoJo Spa Club is nice and clean. It might be an adventure getting to the spa depending where you are coming from but it's worth the trip for relaxation. Although it is an expensive day even for general admission. Nonetheless, the different saunas and baths are neat. Plus, 8 floors of discovery will make time fly by. The locker rooms also has saunas (wet and dry) with different pools like a cold plunge. SoJo Spa also offers additional services that you can buy when you are at the spa. As for lunch, the spa's food is okay but somewhat expensive. The bulgogi was okay when it was eaten with the sauce, the chocolate chip cookie was okay, the pizza wasn't good, and the smoothies were okay. All in all, a great day of relaxation and I would come again but I wouldn't eat at the spa. I would just use the saunas, baths, pools, and other services.

Marilu S.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The bulgogi was well marinated. The views from Sojo spa were fantastic! The saunas were very relaxing and have you sweating a lot.

Yelp
We had a gorgeous Friday afternoon at SoJo Spa Club, enjoying the lovely NYC skyline views. Arriving an hour before our hot stone massages, we explored some of the pools, jets, waterfall, saunas (including infrared), ice room, and healing rooms. It was an absolutely relaxing experience. Booking a spa service includes valet parking (otherwise, it's $15) and a few hours to use the facilities. You leave your shoes in a locker downstairs, then head up to the fourth floor to drop your belongings in another locker (same number), which you access with a fob wristband. Spa check-in is on the fifth floor. The infinity pool is on the 7th floor, and there's a little plant-filled space with chairs on the 8th (top) floor. In the future, I'd consider a hotel stay that includes a day pass for a girls' trip or couples' retreat.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place!! I would come back every month if I could, so many choices to choose from but my go to will always be the Korean scrub.

Sucheta B.

Yelp
A really great 8 floor facility that offers something for everyone! So many pools (the hinoki pool and the hydrotherapy were our favorites) plus multiple saunas (Himalayan salt and ice room were very cool). Everything was clean and there's many towels all throughout the facility. It is definitely pricey and even though we went on a Monday it was decently packed, can't imagine a Saturday or Sunday.

Cerrie W.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting. The spa was great however, the windows were filthy and you couldn't see over the side. I sent a email to the manager stating that their staff refused to give three RNs the $10 credit that is stated on their site. And that the staff asked my friend for a picture of her in her scrubs, proving she was a doctor in the end they gave us a goodwill credit for $10 instead of 40. The gentleman when I left told me to shush multiple times because I asked him if I could get my wallet where you place the shoes I got reprimanded and shushed again. I let the higher ups know this and they said out of Goodwill they will give me $10 a first responder is not a doctor And I was refused. attached is the despicable email that was sent to me. Hopefully no doctors will be first responders helping the person that wrote this email absolute disgusting response. Your response is a blatant lie we all had our nursing ID cards and was given no discount until I sent email and then you gave a $10 credit. Please do not put false response and own up to the fact that you do not honor what you state on your internet site.

Yelp
What a fine establishment. Was invited for a birthday party and I really enjoyed this spa. I can tell you that this spa is extremely organized but I was most surprised about the cafeteria and how delicious the food was. The Spa was very clean and ambiance nice. My favorite spot was the quiet room where you can lay on a the floor because the Marble was warm. I eventually fell asleep lying down lol. There is a locker to leave and lock your phone. They had several rooms you could just move about from. My party and I signed up for the body scrub. I would visit Soja Spa again. Worth every penny!

Yelp
Looking for relaxation and a awesome view on your vacation or just alone time!? This gotta be it :) Came on a Sunday, we drove right up and valet was the thing to do. Before I go any further, if you've never went to a spa before, their is certain things you need to wear. Swimming trunks for the fellas and thats it. This was my first time ever and I was just going with the motion. Price varies on certain days, just check online or give them a call. Don't worry if you brought a lot of things, theres a locker room for you. Once your ready, its time to feel the magical experience that they offer here. Theres floors on each things to do, take your time, this is all about you. This is where time slows down and your in a whole new level of things. I won't spoil it for you, you gotta come see yourself ;) All in all it's a must do if your in NYC or close to it. Will be back when I visit...

Yelp
I came here on a Friday. I booked a 9am ticket admission ($120) in late March. They have valet, but also offer free parking down the block. We were a little bit past the grace period for entrance but they were still very accommodating and let us in. They are very strict about no phones in the locker room which I appreciate. One minor critique, don't have QR codes on the screens in the locker room, some people mindlessly want to take a pic of it and then get yelled at for using their phone. The volcanic bath is very interesting. It costs $20. We booked day of and did it early because we heard it can get busy later on in the day. They recommend you take off your bathing suit and wear just their provided robe. You lay down in the robe in the hot sand and they put a heavy layer of sand on top of you. They said the sand was 130*F. It feels like a very hot weighted blanket. You are lying there for 15 minutes and midway through they do offer you a cold towel. If you are interested in booking the Korean scrub, highly recommend booking it for towards the end of your stay. My friend did it in the morning and met us after her appt and we continued to go into the pools, saunas and all of the oil and lotion that they applied in her came off and she was super sensitive because they rub you raw! It's a barefoot spa so you don't really need sandals. I did wish I brought a bag and reusable water bottle that I could walk around with, but they do have water stations all around. The food court offers a lot of food and smoothies. It is definitely pricey, a bulgogi bowl was $23 but it came with a lot of food and beef.

Yelp
This was my second time coming to Sojo and I was pleasantly surprised they had added a couple new things since I was there last. The price of entry has increased but I still think it is worth it for the amenities and length of time you can spend there! I would recommend going on a week day and getting there early to miss some of the crowd that comes later in the day! The restaurant there actually has some great food and it is nice that they have everything there that you need. We packed our own sheet, lip and hair masks and chose not to do treatments there since the cost of entry is already pricy! Bring our own masks definitely elevated the experience so I would recommend planning ahead to pack some! It is definitely a great little getaway and a fun way to treat yourself for the day!

Yelp
The personnel so nice friendly I mean you don't get to see or feel it here in Jersey:) the price you paid it's well deserved.... Little pricey too book any particular massages section but if you have the money do it!!! Experience is wonderful so relaxing the Hudson view amazing is adults only!!! It was me and my Boo!!! Definitely we will come Back a nice getaway day 9am to 9pm it was enough for both of us!!! & closed

Yelp
I went here yesterday (my first time) to celebrate a friend's birthday, and had an amazing time. I've been wanting to come here for the longest time. Everything from the moment you drive in is organized. There is a valet, followed by a door greeter, and the front desk where you check-in or purchase your daily admission. There, you also pay for the valet. You then enter the shoe locker room, then head upstairs to change into your swimsuits. I made a reservation for a one-hour Korean Body Scrub, and I highly recommend it. The woman I had was wonderful and helpful. For that, you will either need to go full nude or wear a bikini bottom. The last 30 minutes include a body massage (feet and scalp, too) with a milk wash. You feel so clean and refreshed afterwards. The price of the service includes a tip. We also tried several of the saunas and baths. I enjoyed the infinity pool, acupressure bath, silk bath, and charcoal bath. For lunch, we headed upstairs, and I had the shrimp and soba noodles salad and matcha almond milk. It was delicious, plentiful, and affordable. Overall, it was a great experience and I definitely plan to come back again.

Yelp
I'm very grateful this place is OPEN on Thanksgiving Day. Being a traditional holiday, some of us don't have a plan with family, Sojo provides the great relaxation needed by many. In fact, I'm surprised to see how packed here is since the door opened in the morning. Sojo made improvements in time with renovations and policy changes. It's moving in the right direction. Thank you Sojo.

Kaitlin R.

Yelp
This is such a relaxing experience. There is so much to explore and you can truly spend an entire day here. I came on a Sunday and literally stayed for six hours. It was fantastic. It is QUITE pricey though especially since you need to pay for valet if you want to park on site. The price makes it more of a special treat than a regular visiting spot but I will definitely be back.

Alexis P.

Yelp
This places always nice year round. I've been at lease 4/5 times. I prefer the nicer weather to go but it was nice in winter too. They put up see through walls now with the heat going. I really like that.

Naia L.

Yelp
Been following Sojo spa on instagram and wanting to go for a long time! When my husband and i decided to go to NYC for our honeymoon, i knew it was the perfect time to add Sojo to our itinerary. We took a bus from NYC terminal; was easy and cost around 10-11 pp round trip. The spa did seem to have valet but its outside the city in a normal area, im sure people could find street parking. There was w long line, we had reservations at 11, but the line went quickly. Check in includes having bags checked and storing shoes in lockers. No slippers or flipflops allowed either, got to stay barefoot (they have paper slippers at every bathroom). The spa has many floors, with pools, heated (great since we went in fall), jacuzzi, different saunas, massage services, korean bath house, and too many other things to write! Be prepared to stay a few hrs or whole day! The caf has good food, pricey but delicious, and even sweet treats like ice cream or hot coco (non included with admission price). Overall i loved it! We went on a week day and it was busy but still spacious and not crowded; plus lower price than weekend. Will def go again! Recommend for couples, groups or even solo

Lanasha R.

Yelp
I've gone to Sojo what feels like 100 times so my feelings are mixed on my experience. What I like: - There are tons of heated pool and sauna options including my fave, the infinity pool on the rooftop. - Ample showers - Enforced phone rules - 16+ - Easy to navigate What I like a little less: - Phone rules seem to be enforced on an employee to employee basis. I understand taking pics because it's 2023, but my last few visits more and more people have been able to get away with full fledged group video calls. It takes away from what is supposed to be a relaxing time. - Sojo has gotten pretty popular since my first visit (woohoo) resulting in price increases YOY. Since the price has increased, amenities would be the first thought to upgrade. The lockers seem to be working less and less and the the last time I went, my entire party was handed a ripped robes. Very disappointing. All in all, I enjoy a visit to Sojo when I'm in need of a break.

Crystal V.

Yelp
One of my favorite places on this earth! Iv been here 4 times so far I plan to go again soon hopefully in November 2024. Highly recommend!
