Good vibes at this spa with a view but certainly considered a treat. Definitely a great gift to give or receive! I came on a Saturday and there was a crowd but it wasn't unbearable. A weekend day pass ran us about $125 per person under a group rez ($500 total, plus add-ons) so it's up there, price-wise.
There are about 7(?) floors to explore, and lots of add-ons like massages, scrubs, and treatments, in addition to the day pass. There is, of course, the iconic infinity pool that has a great view of the NYC skyline, the famous footpath with rocks big and small (and sharp and smooth!), a larger pool with powerful hydrotherapy, silk baths, saunas, a CO2-focused hot tub, etc. There is definitely a good amount to explore and find what fits your vibe (or try everything like I did). Getting into the saunas to dry off after soaking in the water was a great idea given to me by a SoJo veteran. As for amenities, they even have a fitness center for yogis and those who want to get a quick pump in with a view.
Something I noted: the locker rooms are pretty strict about not having phones and the womens' locker room felt like a very safe environment. I hope everybody has/had the same experience. When you first arrive, you have to put your shoes in a locker. Something I didn't realize is you have to check out at the end of your visit with your wristband on the screens in the central area when you enter/ leave the locker rooms. Another funny thing is, vapes and smoking are not allowed. I forgot I had a loose vape in my bag and they took it for safe keeping (LOL), bagged it up, labeled it, and gave it back to me at the end of my time at SoJo, from the box of shame. But it was no biggie.
They also have food for purchase, things like salads, pizza, sandwiches, and bowls, coffee, etc. I didn't get any food since I went to brunch beforehand, but I will say: don't miss out on the SoJo hot chocolate -- the toasted marshmallow atop this hot treat created the perfect sip after spending time in the infinity pool.
The food seemed alright in my opinion. Instead, I'd recommend: have breakfast/brunch in Edgewater area, head to your reservation for Sojo afterwards, stay until closing/ however late you prefer, and plan for dinner nearby or even make it into the city.
Overall, good experience - don't hype it up TOO much, it's a vibe for sure but a pretty penny for the view.
