"The spacious new Korean drinks destination Soju Anju Bar from Musashi’s Jun Pak and his cousin Jae Shin has opened in the Velocity Dance Building, with limited hours at first (extending in March). The Seattle Times reports that the spot (which seats around 120) pairs soju with a menu of small plates, including squid tempura, blood sausage and the rice cake tteokbokki. There are also complimentary banchan sides with orders of soju or beer, and K-Pop videos on the TVs around the bar." - Gabe Guarente

After standing for 6+ hours of waiting in line for a delayed concert and enjoying the concert, my friends and I were starving and we were looking for a good restaurant that closed late since the concert finished around closer to midnight. As tourists, we were so excited to try Soju Anju. The food was delicious but unfortunately the service was poor. Our server was quite rude, she had an attitude in her tone when taking our order/serving us, made it seem like even asking for more water was a big inconvenience. Granted there was only 1 other table she was accommodating upon our arrival, and 1 other after we were seated (3 tables total). We gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought well it’s late and maybe she’s tired or having a bad day, but good service is still important, so it was quite disappointing.

🥘: 10/10. We ordered so many food that I am too tired to lost them out here! But they are all Incredibly Delicious and Amazing! I can't say enough but my favorite is the rose tteobokki, and the fried chicken! We also got the Korean fried rice and seafood pancake! Best I have ever had! PERIOD! I also got the honey almond butter makoli ! OMG best alcohol I have ever had in 2024! 🧑🏻‍🍳: 10/10: SHOUT OUT TO SUMIN! THE BEST OF THE BEST! she is very sweet, kind and very attentive! Queen slay!! WE LOVE HER SO MUCH! 📍: 8/10: The decors are very cute and makes me feel like I am in Korea! I really enjoyed the dim light and it was very cozy and feels like Korea! Very easy to find parking and low key this place is a hidden gem! Very clean and I can tell they put effort into this restaurant!

We got the army stew and fried chicken. Stew had good flavor, but wasn't as filled with stuff as I was expecting. Fried chicken was quite tasty, though the breading was pretty heavy. Overall the food was good, but fairly expensive for what we got. Atmosphere was cool and the wait staff was responsive and efficient.

Google
I can't believe this place flew under my radar for so long! Located conveniently in Capitol Hill and open for late night hours, this is a fantastic spot to fill up before a night of bar hopping. We tried the corn cheese, spicy rice cakes, bulgogi, and squid and it was so delicious and filling! The service was a bit slow and the restaurant is loud and crowded but it was worth it for the food. A couple of bottles of soju and you forget all about the noise. The meat dishes also come with rice and side dishes which were awesome. Limited street parking in this area, your best bet is to park further away from the main streets or try around Cal Anderson Park.

Google
It used to be a good place in the past. Food was so so. Service was horrible, the lady serving us put spam on one of the fried rice while we clearly order one with spam and the other without spam. When we notified the staff about it and sent the bowl back. It didn't stop there, she brought the bowl back and started telling us that the spam shouldn't be there and she made sure of that. 2nd attempt of sabotage was during checkout when this same lady didn't bring us cheese corn and told other staffs that she did serve us. One of the other staff went in to check the table and found out it was not there and the lady still continues saying that she didn't know what happened. The 2 stars were for earlier good memories we had of these place. Planning not to go back there again.

Google
I’ve gone here twice, love the food and interior! Most of the buttons to call servers don’t work which is a problem but not such a big hassle. The first time I came here was Christmas with friends, great service! and yummy food. Unfortunately the second time we came we had a very passive aggressive host, although there wasn’t any other problem expect how we felt uncomfortable and treated rudely by our hostess.

Google
Shockingly good. They only have a few people working so service can be a bit slow, which i think it’s worth it for the place, the food is definitely worth it. One of the best beef bulgogis I’ve ever tried, no joke. The rose rice cakes were delish. You do have to ask for banchan but they’ll still bring it to you. Will likely be back. Atmosphere of the place is good too!

Jessica

Google
Our go to place to invite friends out late 😅 love everything on their menu and yogurt soju is the best flavor of soju beteadubs. It can get rather loud though be warned it might be hard to carry on a mundane conversation. There’s a call button if you ever need service and their bathroom does have a code (usually posted at the cashier spot). Get ready to spend a bit cuz this place isn’t cheap but for us it’s quality and atmosphere 🧡 and we love this place

Yelp
Just moved from Seattle and was worried we'd have little or no access to great Korean food. Concerns voided! Amazing food, good mix of dishes, friendly staff. Highly recommend

Chris V.

Yelp
This place was dead on a Friday night... and I see why. Honestly don't get the concept of going to a soju bar to pay 3x the price like every other Korean restaurant for the same soju you can easily buy at the grocery store. But drinks aside... Food was not great, I agree with most other reviews here about the quality being mid at best. This place is also on the more expensive side, but the prices don't reflect quality. Kimchi pancake - Sad and floppy, had zero crisp to the outside whatsoever. The most expensive kimchi pancake I've come across, terrible quality and value clocking in at $23! Spicy rice cakes - Okaaay basic tteokbokki. Japchae - Sad mushy noodles with small scant shreds of meat. No bounce or chewiness. No strong sesame presence. Korean fried chicken - Just don't, there's so many better places around cap hill for KFC, these chickens come undressed and underseasoned, served with literally a side of ketchup and mayo. so sad. were they crispy? some of them... I'll pass next time.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing experience at Soju Anju! Food was very mid here. We had the Korean fried chicken, fried rice, rice cake and corn cheese. The Korean fried chicken was probably the only bright spot that I'd recommend and would be happy to eat it again. Everything else was average and tasted quite bland. It honestly felt like we could've made it better at home. Service here was ok, but food took an extremely long time to come out, and the restaurant was not even that full. We'd get an entree, and then have to wait 10-15 mins for another dish, then again for our last dish which was the corn cheese appetizer?? The wait between dishes felt unnecessarily long. If you're in a rush, DO NOT come here. The restaurant itself has a nice vibe to it, although it felt a little cramped. I would accidentally bump into the party next to me at times. I do like the bar set up, but drinks are insanely overpriced here. The so-maek tower we got was $68?? It was also warm when it came out which really ruined it. We came on a night where things weren't too busy and had a bad experience. I can't imagine what it'd be like to come here during a busy dinner rush.

Vy M.

Yelp
This bar is fun if you're looking to down a couple somaek towers, eat Korean bar foods with friends, and listen to loud kpop. With that said, everything is quite expensive so be prepared spend at least $60-$80/person. Service is also subpar (one of the female employees was super rude to my friends before I showed up) and they have a time limit on the tables, so you can't sit too long. Our group of 6 ordered 2 somaek towers, bossam, rose tteobokki, a seafood pancake, and boneless fried chicken which came out to almost $300 but we were still hungry and ended up going somewhere else after we were told we overstayed our time. I would come back if I was in the area but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Yelp
Food - the only downside is the lower number of vegetarian and vegan options, but they have recently revised their menu to add more options. We have been several times with friends and recommend getting the soju and beer tower if you're there with friends. Also I recommend the corn cheese always. I like both the bibimbap and ramen for vegetarian options. My partner likes the beef bulgogi but the pork bulgogi was a favorite with my friends who preferred spicier food. Service - always pretty good service because you hit the button when you're ready and they're easy to flag down if you need something. Very attentive and speedy! Ambiance - quirky and cool little spot! It feels hidden away from the road and there's cute little decorations. The tables and decor make it feel as though you could be in Korea in a little shop. Really amazing as a communal experience with some friends!

Emily T.

Yelp
Came here for the food and we were pretty happy with the overall experience and vibe. Came with a group of 4 on a Sunday night around 9pm and it wasn't busy so we were seated right away. The ambiance is pretty cool, nice decor, great kpop music, and a decent menu selection of drinks and food. Service was friendly, a little on the slow side, but it's fine because it feels like the kind of place to sit back and enjoy good company. Food - + cheese corn - always delicious! +tteok-bokki - great portion and yummy! The rice cakes were perfect! + bibimbap - the rice was on the softer/mushy side but overall everything was tasty + spicy pork - my husband was sweating a ton so you know this dish brought the heat I think we were maybe supposed to get banchan or so I thought it said on the menu but we never did. I definitely want to come back and try their chicken, I saw another table order it and it looked amazing.

Yelp
Overall, I will say my second visit with Soju Anju recently is definitely more enjoyable than my first visit a couple of years ago. Some key improvements: Service: Utilizing the service button, staff was pretty quick and efficient in addressing whatever needs my party had. In addition, everyone was friendly and we didn't have to wait for long on anything. Food: I will say, the food has improved quite a bit! Of all the dishes I ate, the seafood pancake = 100% yum! Loaded with a ton of seafood, this dish is a definite must if you're looking for an appetizer to share. Other dishes that were just as good are: Corn cheese, spicy pork, and bulgogi Vibes: This place is definitely more of a late night hang out spot if you're looking to chill with the homies/friends. Definitely reminded me of the fun spots I visited in South Korea Price Point: A bit higher than your standard Korean spots but it does have most of the food/drinks options you would need for a good dining experience I would come back again if in the area :)

Yelp
Soju Anju is our favorite place for a group. For a group of ten, we usually get at least five orders of corn cheese, it's that good. The Korean fried chicken and beef bulgogi are delicious. I'm a huge fan of the glass noodles also.

Kealia P.

Yelp
The inside is so cute, it is designed to look like you are outside on a patio while still being indoors. It is a good late night place to go, and I really like the food! Especially the Rose Tteokbokki is so savory and yummy. I take off point because the price of the soju is insaneeee maybe worth getting some for the vibes but $16 is so steep when you can go a couple blocks to M2M and get a bottle for about $7

Emma S.

Yelp
I've come here so many times and it never disappoints. The vibes are very nice and are different from your typical sit down restaurant. It's a great place to grab a few drinks & late night snacks, or just have dinner with friends. The food is delicious as well and very shareable portions. The rose rice cake is my favorite -- the sauce is so addicting! The staff are friendly and attentive and are very helpful in recommending dishes and answering questions.

Travis H.

Yelp
Service 10/10 Food mid. Had spicy bulgogi with cheese It was way, way too sugary couldn't taste the spiciness over the sugar. Fried chicken was okay nothing stand out about it other than they used rice flour for sure. No rice cake. Sumek came premix 100% fail on that. Kimchi pancake good but also mid.

Tiana N.

Yelp
Overall cute place but prices were a bit higher than expected for the portion and quality. We got the Army Stew and Pork Belly which were good but more costly than I would have hoped. There is a good amount of seating and the atmosphere is cute with a late night Korean street food bar vibe. The servers were also really kind.

Rach C.

Yelp
Everything seemed decently priced as most Korean bars are kind of similar in most cities. I think one thing that felt off is that they played a lot of pop and edm music rather than the "Korean bar feel." Service was great and I love that they have the bell and food was good too even though we only got tteokbokki. Will update in the future when I go back to try other stuff

Mia H.

Yelp
I came here one evening for food and drinks with a friend and it was the perfect night spot on a weekend for Korean food and drinks. They have a large variety of Korean alcohols (and soju flavors) as well as the perfect drinking snacks. There's a lot of seating inside and it's pretty dim with Korean music playing, so it makes for a very lively night environment. They also have plenty of seating inside, for bigger parties too!. My friend and I ordered the Korean seafood pancakes as we had to order food and a couple bottles of beer and soju. Staff was very friendly and quick with our food and drinks. I also really liked how their was a button for us to call them over, because they just left us on our own to chat (which is a huge plus to not be disturbed!). Would love to come back again.

Jessica W.

Yelp
Solid Korean spot in Cap Hill! This is a great place to go with groups and a fun night out. They have plenty of soju to keep flowing all night and delicious food to go with it! The prices are a bit high but not too far off from other prices in the neighborhood. The atmosphere has a fun vibe for a night out

Jessica J.

Yelp
First thing that should be noted is that this place usually always has a wait. You can tell that there aren't many employees because it seems to be one main person who is the host and server at the same time. I wish the place was a bit bigger, but it can be super cool for people who haven't had the pocha experience before-the americanized pocha experience. Regardless, I did enjoy the food-especially the pork belly (you can never go wrong with pork belly). I think this place has a lot more potential to step up their pocha experience to make it feel more like an anju bar in korea, but definitely not bad. I would go here again, but not exactly my first choice.

Christy K.

Yelp
Mediocre food disappointing service everything was just alright. I would be more understanding if the restaurant was busy or understaffed but it wasnt that terribly busy middle of the week. The service didnt feel attentive but its a korean bar its kind of expected but why bother coming up to the table to give the bill if you're making me come up to pay? I was genuinely upset by that. Doesnt make sense quite honestly. On a customer perspective I would suggest they tell us upfront to ring up. Price wise it is a tad high but understandable though. Inflation is hard and seattle laws definitely make local business operations difficult. It's just okay. I wouldn't mind be here for convenience but that's about it

Valerie Y.

Yelp
Soju Anju gives a typical American pocha experience. Pochas are restaurants that serve drinks and food to go with drinks... so basically, don't come here for just the food. I will say that the wait staff was very helpful and seated a large party of us, and the decor and music popped off. Love hearing new K-pop while eating with friends. However, the food is mediocre and expensive and the drinks are also expensive. We ordered the steamed egg (was pretty burnt and unflavorful), pork belly (tasted more like pork chops and definitely under-portioned), seafood jeon (most slices didn't have seafood), and budae jjigae/army stew (the only decent part). The banchan/side dishes were mediocre and the kimchi was just okay :( Additionally, the water was metallic and somehow WORSE than tap water. I honestly would recommend just going to M2M and buying some frozen Korean food and soju to have at home instead of coming out here. Not a terrible experience, but not the greatest, either.

Steven Z.

Yelp
This place is straight vibes. Think Itaewon class -- nice lighting, red brick walls, metal tables. They blast korean hip hop/RnB all night long. Highlights - Cup noodle fried rice. Get it. That combination of carbs is somehow amazing - Rose tteokbokki. It's really creamy and great flavor - Fried chicken wings: Sometimes can be great. One time it came out too salty and slightly burnt Oh yeah, also get soju for a good time

Prag R.

Yelp
Cool Korean bar and food in Cap hill, stopped by for drinks and the soju is so great, the bartender suggested for the Yogurt Soju as I preferred a sweeter one, it was so good, couldn't believe myself! Great place to hangout with friends:)

Belldandy O.

Yelp
I don't recall much of my time at Soju Anju Bar LOL. All I remember was my friend said the cocktail he ordered was good and I don't vividly remember how it tasted after he offered it to me.

Vanisha K.

Yelp
The food was great, service was mehh... I've been here a few times and it's always a hit or miss. I think the prices are expensive for the food portion. However, good late night food with friends and vibes!

Lindsey H.

Yelp
5 stars for the food, but 3 stars for the service, rounding it out to a 4 :) Soju Anju never disappoints if you're looking for a family style snack or meal. It's hard to find really good Korean food in Seattle proper, but this gem located in Capitol Hill is definitely a hit! The more times I've gone, the more crowded it's been. The interior holds a good amount of people, with circular tables that your group can crowd around, and a section for larger groups in a different section. I give the service 3 stars, because of a couple different experiences. One night, we were looking for something to eat late-night. I called around 10:30PM to make sure they were open until 12AM, in which they confirmed. We got there at 11PM to give us an hour before closing to eat, but when we walked in, they denied us, saying the kitchen had been closed. Just 30 minutes earlier, we had called and ubered there specifically to eat, just to be turned away. Not a great experience. Other times, the service has just been lacking, where we would ask for something and they forget, or we try to flag someone down and they walk right past. It DOES get super busy, but some sort of acknowledgement would be nice. Now the food is worth the wait. 5 stars for everything I've eaten off the menu. My personal favorites are the spicy stir-fried squid, fried chicken, and army stew. Everything comes in good portion sizes, enough to share with a group, and the flavors are all explosive. A lot of the time, Korean food can just taste like gochujang, especially for dishes that are spicy, but I've tried their squid, rice cakes, army stew and ramen, and they all have a unique taste and flavor that makes each stand out. Super delicious, and perfect to eat anytime of the day, whether it be completely sober, fighting off a hangover, or just getting the night started with a round of soju or beer!

Mei W.

Yelp
I love the ambiance of this place! Definitely reminded me of the restaurants in Korea, lively and busy! It felt very hip and young. The food was pretty good too! Not to Korea standards but close enough! :) I love the corn cheese! Mmmm...

Kolaiah A.

Yelp
When it starts to get cold and rainy outside there is nothing like some good Korean food . Now this spot is different than a traditional Korean barbecue joint but it doesn't differ in service , ambiance or food quality it gives you a different perspective and moment on what that looks like in a younger point of view . Things to not . 3 transactions per table MAX . Venmo , Zelle , cash app and Apple Pay are how things needed to be sorted out amongst each other prior to you paying for your meal . All of your party must be present at the time of being seated . And you will be I'Ded at the door . Stay ready so you don't have to what ? Get ready . The space has bathrooms on the outside that you can get in by code . Code is also located on the menu aswell . Do not double park or do I can't tell you what to do with your money LOL . On weekends Capitol Hill is packed give yourself some get lost time to get free parking or pay 25$ or something crazy . Like k said that's your money not mine . Once inside you are transformed into both bright and dim tables with buzzers on the side . Paper menus and sometimes very loud music . Try the Soju it's good and I personally never get a hangover . Apple mango / green grape . Great stuff . Beef bulgogi , japchae , the fixins , corn cheese always corn cheese and spicy sweet rice cake with cheese and I repeat always with cheese . It's the perfect introductory to sweet and savory . Nice but not overly formal . It gets packed and if you are hungry it's my suggestion if you come in a group to carpool and pee before you have to wait for your table because you may blink and boom 20 people who have already found this hidden gem . At the end you will have the usual option to tip custom 10/ 18 / 20 percentage ect and then you can leave . Soju is 16$ dollars for the bottle order two if you like to drink . Take a walk at cal Anderson cause you may stuff yourself and have no regrets but have bloating that may say otherwise . I went with 3 people and spent for everything 115+20$ tip . . About 45$ per person . The alcohol makes you get hot fast even with being right next to the door dress in layers ! Staff is friendly and accommodating ! Ask for suggestions if you feel like you need help . Until next bite

Yelp
Long overdue, but I came here about 5 months ago with a group of friends. The atmosphere was very cool, it's got a chill late night Korean street/bar food vibe. The food was good, but I think it was a bit over priced. You can definitely find similar dishes further down south for cheaper. I also have to say the place was very crowded, the tables are small and we were running out of room to put our food let alone move comfortably to reach and grab food across 2 tables. Our party was about 10 ppl so you can only imagine how hard it was being squished side by side. They also don't take reservations its first come first serve. So I say if you are coming with a big group, maybe try another place that can actually accommodate a large party.

Varun K.

Yelp
Poor lazy staff. No smiles, no greeting. Lack lustre. Extremely salty fried chicken. Empty tables. 18% gratuity in advance.

Mayra S.

Yelp
It's a fun place to go for drinks. The food was delicious we had Korean Fried chicken, Deep fried dumplings, Spicy rice cake, Pork belly, Amy stew and corn cheese. It was 5 of us and even though the wait was a bit long the staff were very nice and fast when we got seated. The place was very nice and the music was on point!

Allen H.

Yelp
Have been here multiple times and am just writing a review now! The vibes here are awesome; there's a an actual soju bar outside where your party can down some soju while waiting in line. The decorations and setup of the restaurant as a whole is unique. Could be a fun place to take a group of people, or have a boozy/casual date night. Pretty solid korean comfort foods. Can get crowded certain nights. I've walked in without a wait friday early nights, and have waited up to 45mins for a different weekend night.

Sophie M.

Yelp
Went here with some friends and the vibe is cool. Definitely feels like a more authentic Korean bar than others I've been to in the city. The service was okay - our server was so sweet but not very attentive and the host was pretty aloof and didn't provide us enough information (for instance, our ringer didn't work and it had apparently not been working all day and he failed to mention that). We got the rose tteokbokki, grilled intestines, pork belly, kimchi fried rice, beef bulgogi, makgeoli 1000 probiotic and apple mango + plum soju. The food was really good! However, the portions are small for the price. It feels like a rip-off. Drinks wise - can't go wrong with the makgeoli and soju but once again they were so overpriced esp compared to other korean bars in Seattle. Overall - great food and drink, okay service, cool vibe, and overpriced. Do with that what you will

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely straight out of a Korean Drama! I loved it!! The atmosphere and food made it a great experience! Food (4/5): My friends and I had ordered spicy rice cake and Korean pancake. The portions were larger than expected. For just 3 people we were already full on these two dishes. My friends who are Korean said that this is pretty authentic Korean food. It was the perfect amount of spice and spiciness. The Korean pancake was savory but at the same time had a hint of sweetness. The Korean pancake was my favorite dish out of the 2. Paired with these dishes we had gotten a bottle of rice wine. It was a delicious pairing with the pancake. Service (4/5): The servers were kind and frequently checked in to make sure that we were satisfied with our meal. The employees were wearing masks as this was indoor dining. Parking (2/5): Street parking... This restaurant is on a larger street in Capitol Hill so street parking it is. All of the streets you have to pay. You can get lucky with a close spot but we had to look in the residential streets for parking between 1-3 blocks. My best advice is to try the angled parking by Anderson park which is just one street down. - Please vote below, comment, and like the photos to give me feedback on my reviews - For more reviews and photos, follow my instagram: @nvc.eats

Yelp
10:54 PM. Are told they just sat the last party and not allowed to seat anymore because last call is soon when the restaurant closes in 1 hour. Didn't offer for us to order to go and walked away the moment she finished talking before we could have a chance to even ask for to go. She didn't say kitchen closed. She said last call is soon. There's no sign on the door of any hour changes or last call being over an hour from close. And the door still says open.

Brandon H.

Yelp
The food was decent at most, we came in with our friends for our reservation, and we just enjoy Soju Anju because it's one of the few late night Korean Food Options. On 09/15/2023, we had THE WORST SERVICE I have ever had. We found a big rubberband on our Seafood Pancake. WE HAD NOT EVEN TAKEN A BITE AND VISUALLY SAW A BIG RUBBERBAND ON TOP. Our server took it away and the manager for that night came and scolded us. Verbatim she said "I don't know how it got there, we don't have rubberbands in the restaurants due to safety. It couldn't have been us. I'm not saying it was you, but I'm definitely saying it was not us". We were OFFENDED! As she went out of her way, not to correct what went wrong, but more so, to tell us it may have been our fault??? Genuinely the worst service in the city without a doubt. This is beyond the waiters, CONTINUALLY bring us the wrong or extra dishes. In doing so, we continually kept sending back the extra dishes because we did not order them. Soju Anju is NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. Your wait and food are better spent at spaces that really care about their guests.

Nhi N.

Yelp
Of you're a big fan of Korean movie, don't miss this spot! My friend and I stopped by Soju Anju for comfort Korean foods and drinking. Staffs are really nice and fast! There's only one thing that the waiting is really long. We came in at 7PM (only 2 people) and wouldn't get in until 9:30PM. But once we got in, foods and drinks got served really quickly. I always got fried chicken (don't forget corn cheese), grilled intestine, pork hock (jokbal) and army base stew (Budae Jjigae) to fill my stomach for soju bomb later.

Quyen D.

Yelp
So I came here with my friends ( 4 people total) at 9:30 on Thursday ( 03/22). After an hour later, 2 of my other friends came and wanna join us. The waitress said they can't join us because we only need a table for 4 ppl in the first place ( FYI, I used come here sometimes with my friends and there's no problem with more ppl joining us and this was the first time ever). I came to the waitress and asked how come my friends can't join us cuz it's kinda weird. The waitress explained that: " Some customers came in first and then some ppl come in later, they can use ppl's ID who already sat to get in so that's why we need to confirm how many ppl first and will seat customers at the same time also check the ID." Which is I totally understand. Then I offer how about if we show you our ID at the same time, she refused. And I asked her what should we do then because there so many empty tables as you guys can see in the photos, I can't understand why she makes a hard time for us and help us like that. She told us that we need to check out first and then request table for more people and she will help us seated. WHAT THE POINT? after I offered about the ID option, she told us it's the policy and told me that table you had right now is only fit for 4 ppl, which is only can't fit more than that and I understand too cuz it's a small table. The point is here she just need to move to bigger table but why she gave us a hard time about it then? Check out and move to BIGGER TABLE? She said they changed the policy. REMINDER : IF YOU WANT TO GO THERE AND THINK MIGHT BE MORE PPL WANNA JOIN YOU GUYS, THEN DON'T COME. Cuz they only let exact number of customers come in at that moment. If anyone wanna join, they will make it more complicated about it. If you guys change policy about that, why don't just offer making reservations then, which helps you guys confirm how many customers will come and if they wanna more ppl to join, they will call and confirm. Why make us walk in and wait, and not even give us a head up about the policy change so we can confirm with our friends? Even leave the notification on the door. If your target customer and type of restaurant like fine dining or typical restaurant requires appointments, I wouldn't mind, but this is a Korean bar and never happened before which make me so confused about it. THE WAITRESS CANNOT EVEN GIVE THE REASONABLE EXPLANATION. I'm so wondering is it because she's racist or just because of THE POLICY? When we moved to different table, she can't even help us move our utensils, we had to do it by ourselves. Do you think she deserves the tips then? I think only the chefs deserve it. SUCH A DISAPPOINTING CUSTOMERS SERVICE. I guess the owners don't need lots of customers so that's why they don't need more customers join, especially for a bar and EMPTY.

Yelp
As someone who is Korean, I'm really particular and picky about Korean food and restaurants in the Seattle area, but this place blew my mind because it was super good!! I was really impressed with the food here. My party got a whole bunch of appetizers and meats: - Kimchi pancake - Seafood pancake - Tteokbokki - Pork Belly - Pork bulgogi - Intenstine The kimchi and seafood jeon were REALLY good, crispy & flavorful unlike other jeons at Korean restaurants. The tteokbokki was actually spicy and delicious. The problem with tteokbokki at some Korean restaurants is that they are too sweet, not spicy and don't have the authentic Korean taste, but this one was exactly what I look for in tteokbokki! It was spicy and there was no hint of sweetness! The pork bulgogi was really good too and flavorful but I also feel like you can never go wrong with bulgogi. Now as for the pork belly, I would say it was more of the...lacking dish. It still tasted good but I feel like some of the pork belly was overcooked and too crispy. I do like how they give you garlic, jalapeño, samjang and sesame oil, but they are missing the lettuce for a real ssam! However, overall this is a real solid place and perfect if you want to have some drinks and food. Lots of the food they serve are perfect snacks or pairing with drinks, so like soju and beer.

Yelp
Decent spot to grab food and drinks with friends! The atmosphere is lively, with Kpop music playing in the background. They serve what you would most typically see at any other Korean restaurant, but it is a little on the pricier side in relation to their portions.

Yelp
This place was a major disappointment. I came here on a Friday night and experienced a pretty long wait for such a mediocre establishment. My friends and I drank in the bar area near the entrance while we waited for a table and we were served lukewarm beer which was pretty gross. For a Friday night, I'm surprised that they weren't prepared with serving customers cold beer which I feel like is a given that beers should be served cold. When we finally got seated, we ordered the army stew which was $24 and a complete rip off. The stew was overwhelmingly under seasoned and to top it off, the portion was incredibly small. We also ordered a somac tower which wasn't filled up all the way compared to other establishments so it felt like we got cheated out of a full portion. The service fine and was nothing memorable. I have a really hard time wrapping my head around the fact that people love coming here when everything is extremely overpriced and underwhelming.

Yelp
TLDR All the right vibes for a soju bar. The decor, ambiance, food choices, and crowd energy were perfect. I don't even remember what food we ordered but the memories I was left with was just good times all around. Pros They have soju They serve food Service was pretty good Great place to go with friends Cons They eventually asked us to go home

Yelp
Looking for someplace with a quick, easy before you hit up any of the bars of Capitol Hill, Soju Anju's a reliable choice. If you're looking for an authentic experience with food that justifies the price you're paying, maybe consider some other nearby options. My friends and I met for a brief link up before going to a kickback. Though the setting at Soju was cute, our dumplings, kimchi ramen and soju were simply put, satisfying. I think if more wait-staff was available, and the quality of our meal was slightly better, the experience could have been just as good as our conversations that night.

Yelp
Staff seemed super stressed, but they were so kind and helpful. Maybe come when it's not super busy because you wont be given an estimated wait time. The food was pretty good, nothing too much where I would try to go again. Maybe to drink and hangout. The only entree I enjoyed was the cheese corn. The only cheese corn that has the perfect amount of every ingredient and there is FLAVOR. I tried the Kimchi soup but too much going on and the kimchi rice didn't even have any flavor. The inside was compact but cute lights and decorations. Maybe I will come back and try the food again. Cheese corn is the only thing I would come back to eat.

Yelp
I came here with a friend. There was a long wait although we saw dozens of people leave. While we got seated our server told us the wait was because they didn't have enough clean utensils. We order the beef bulgogi and pork belly. The bulgogi was good, the pork belly was over cooked in my opinion (it was crunchy). In hindsight I'd would have liked it if they would have asked how we would have liked it cooked so I could have had it a little more rare. While eating our meal I asked for a hot sauce, and our waiter brought us some. It was very mild, so when I asked him for something hotter since every Korean bbq place I've been to has had hotter sauces, he responds "we have sriracha" and that "we're not a Korean bbq place." All in all completely overpriced and under delivered. Such a bad experience, steer clear of this place!

Yelp
Came on a Saturday night at 6pm and there was no wait for our party of 3. Our group was craving Korean pub food with a nice cold beer tower, and Soju Anju did not disappoint! Food: 4/5 -Korean fried chicken: Recommend! It came with 4 large drums and was nice and crispy, we did not ask our server if it came with wings. -Pork Belly: Cuts were a little awkward, but it was delicious none the less! Really tasty with soybean paste Seafood Pancake: Really loved the texture between crunchy and chewy, always a must-order whenever we hit up Korean spots Spicy Rice Cakes: I usually prefer the thicker tteokbokki sauce, so I wasn't a fan of this dish unfortunately -Soju Beer Tower: $30 for roughly 7 glasses total Service: 5/5 Staff was nice, attentive and checked IDs. It gets a bit more "lively" as the night goes on, so don't expect a quiet dinner the later you join. Overall, I would definitely come back!

Yelp
This place is so cute! The rumors are true, I'm obsessed. Queued in my bookmarks for a while, I wanted to try this place well before quarantine but the stars just didn't align to make that possible.. until now!! First and foremost, my favorite thing is the layout. The ambiance is the one thing that differs this place from any other Korean restaurant in the Seattle area. They bump the hottest tracks in kpop and I was truly transported back to Korea sitting in a late night Seoul bar. It's the perfect atmosphere to get rowdy drunk with your friends with some good bar food. We ordered the Spicy Pork Bolgogi, Corn Cheese, and Cheese Sticks and I'd say they were all amazing but I'd skip out on the chicken hahaha not the best. Needless to say they have Soju for days and though my recent visit was a sober one, we will definitely be taking advantage of that the next time. The only reason this is a 4 stars and not a 5 is because I haven't tried any of the soups or pork belly and that will for sure confirm if this place passes the vibe check. Also our server was so so sweet!!

Yelp
Vibes!! This place has great ambiance and delicious Korean bar food! My favorites were the kimchi fried rice with a fried egg, the rice cakes, and japchae. The corn cheese had a small portion but was delicious nonetheless. My friend genuinely enjoyed the fried chicken which came with gochujang! The soju/beer mix was slightly watered down but good to get a buzz going for a group! Also it paired well with the foods.
