Tofu soup is good. We ordered beef tofu combo, seafood pancake. Squid noodle it tastes good flavor into it. They said good for two people but portion kind no worth for $26.99. Got shrimp in it but it super tiny check picture out

Google
Tried spicy cold noodles for the first time. It was great and everyone at the table was full and enjoyed their dishes. Our server was Ashley who was nice and she refilled our waters and made sure if we wanted anymore side dishes. Overall, the whole place was welcoming and comfortable. I would definitely come back!

Phuong Tran

Google
I had an amazing experience at Sokongdong Tofu House! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. The servers were fantastic—super friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was flavorful and tasted authentic. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the meal. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend!

Shanru

Google
Good portion sizes for reasonable prices. All orders include refills of the side dishes (banchan). Tofu soup includes rice, egg to crack into the soup, fried fish, and side dishes — a lot of food overall. It can be hard to find parking during busy hours. Service can be a bit slow for larger groups, but food came out fast.

Google
Decided I was in a craving for Korean food, and I was recommended to go here! They have a great soondubu and hot stone bowl combo with several options! The Kalbi was very flavorful and wasn’t dry, fairly easy to remove the meat off the bone. The bowl was kind of sauce y because it was difficult to get a good crunch on the rice and I didn’t move it at all. They also gave several side dishes but I’m not sure if they are refillable. It also came with a grilled fish, which had several thin bones.

Google
This is one of the best Korean places in town. They won so many awards for best Korean. They are known for short ribs and spicy tofu soup. I love their seafood pancake. You can choose the spice level of soup; ( “the very spicy” is pretty awesome. ) the service is nice. Parking can be challenging at times due to share parking with other businesses in this small plaza. If it’s full just park across the street and walk. The price is reasonable, you always have an option to make your soup a combo which would come with short ribs. This place is solid.

Edwin Henderson

Google
Great Korean food. I love the Bibimbap, the BBQ short ribs, and everything else I’ve eaten here. The staff are super nice, and the dining room is nicely decorated in a classic Asian style. Parking lot is small so expect to park in another lot and walk during peak hours. The small inconvenience is worth the effort. We have been here for dinner 3 times and now for lunch. Menu is solid and good every time.

Google
This place is delicious! The restaurant feels cozy and the food is delicious. The staff are also super friendly! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Fast seating Reasonably-paced service Authentic food On a 1-10 scale of "I could afford to eat here everyday" to "I'd only go here for special occasions," this place is a 6. Very reasonable price for how much food you're getting though. The tofu soups and stone bowls are authentic, but funny enough, my favourite dish above them all is the seafood pancake. ~16 inches diameter of conversation-stopping flavour and texture. You basically can't go wrong ordering any seafood and/or beef dish here, from the soups to the dishes to the sides. I introduced this place to some Asian foodie friends of mine who are regular global trotters (with a hobby of dining at Michelin-starred restaurants at each country/city), and they said they really liked it. And they say things as they are. I'd say that's one of the highest praises a place can get. SKD Tofu House, I bestow upon you a gold star.

Yelp
Loved the immediate hospitality when you walk through the door. Kind Korean women greeting you with smiles and warmth. Service was super quick and inside the restaurant feels so homey. Meals come with an array of side dishes. Chose a tripe tofu soup, leek pancake, and spicy pork bibimbap for our meal and all were excellent. Very fresh and flavors were amazing. Prices were good too considering the portions. Note, the leek pancake is the best Korean pancake I've ever had. Super crispy while also soft and flavorful. Love it.

Yelp
I was suggested to this place by a friend and came here on a Sunday for lunch to an already full parking lot but luckily there are other lots close by. Even with the high traffic, we were still able to get a table for two without a hitch. The complimentary layout includes the typical kimchi, spicy bean sprouts, and japchae. There was also macaroni salad, broccoli and small deep fried fish. It was a surprisingly hot day in October so I decided to get their cold noodle soup which was refreshingly light with crisp slices of slightly pickled daikon slices. Their short ribs and bulgolgi also looked delicious. Overall, we had a good experience since the service was prompt and efficient. I liked my soup and would be very interested in trying other items from their small menu (which may be larger if there for dinner).

Yelp
Delicious food at a great price! The inside is also super cool and everyone was extremely kind.

Yelp
We had a craving for soondupu (soft tofu stew). We ordered the mushroom soondubu and seafood+ beef soondubu. Both were $13.99. The soup base was flavorful and I liked adding the egg when the dish arrived. However, I was a little disappointed with the mushroom one because they only added white mushrooms and not much. I was expecting Enoki or a variety of mushrooms. The banchan came with fish but didn't have the sprouts and the greens which are my favorites. Instead they had macroni, noodles, radish, kimchee, and broccoli. Service and ambiance were good. Place was clean.

Yelp
Ambiance: 4/5 It's a nice little sundubu establishment. Tucked inside a small shopping plaza, parking can fill up and be difficult during peak hours. Inside is on the smaller but cozy side. The atmosphere is very casual dining. Service: 3/5 Our party of 3 was sat pretty quickly, but service was a bit slow during dinner time. Our waitress was very pleasant, but it was obvious she was stressed out and in a rush. She took a while getting to our table, and she forgot the small fried fish banchan and never returned to refill our water. Food: 4/5 We ordered the beef tofu soup and the seafood soup. The broth was delicious and the beef was tender. Comes with the usual ban Chan side dishes, broccoli, potatoes, kimchi, and radish, but they ran out of the glass noodles. Apparently hot tea is also a seasonal item and isn't served during summer time (weird!) Overall, the food was good as usual, and the location it's in has good dessert places nearby, making this a convenient place to eat and hang out afterwards. This isn't my first time here and it won't be my last!

Yelp
This was my go-to Korean tofu soup joint in college. So it's definitely the epitome of comfort food for my friends and I. When I came to town for a work trip, my college friend and I had to come back here for the memories. A few things have changed since my days as a student. They no longer provide barley tea with the meal and prices have increased, as all places have. They still give you the fried fish along with the banchan. All of them are delicious. My favorite? the japchae!!! My go-to is the seafood tofu soup, but I went for the seafood beef tofu soup for some extra protein. Great flavor. They provide eggs for cracking it in. The pajeon (scallion pancake) is also a treat. Super big portions, so it's great for sharing. Service here is good as well. I'm biased of course, but SKD is a must-try on Buford highway!

Yelp
My favorite, go-to tofu soup spot! They have been the og spot and will always be the best. Their soups are flavorful and always cooked to perfection. I always get the extra hot and they make sure to follow through! I also love their side dishes here, and they always let you refill them. The cold noodles here are also amazing. They may be known for the soups but the cold noodles here are unbeatable. Love the food here but hate the parking lot (iykyk). But willing to suffer for the amazing and hearty soups.

Yelp
So Kong Dong is a reliable, authentic Korean restaurant. My husband and I eat here often. Especially when it's cold and we are in need of tofu soup. We typically order the tofu soup + Korean BBQ ribs combination (S1) - $24.49. All of their tofu soups are delicious, but the Roe Tofu Soup is superior. This place is popular and gets crowded on the weekends, so parking can sometimes be difficult. However, if you turn right out of the parking lot, pass the first light and then take a right into the apartment complex (Legacy North)-- you can park in So Kong Dong's backside parking lot (shared lot with Latin Grocery). If the back door is unlocked then go through there. Otherwise, walk around to the front entrance. Enjoy!

Yelp
Went to So Kong Dong for dinner and got there around 8:30 on a weeknight. If you come on a weeknight, keep in mind that the restaurant closes at 9 and you'll be the only one sitting there if you're there past nine. Also, keep in mind that this restaurant does not serve alcohol. The staff were super friendly with getting us seated and taking our order. We each ordered the soup and ribs combo and the food came out very fast. I ordered the mild soup; even if you're scared of spicy food, I suggest going one level higher than mild because you will get a lot more flavor from that than I did from mine. The soup was solid and the tofu was tasty but the mild broth just didn't have much flavor. I tried my friend's spicy broth and was more impressed by that than by mine. The ribs were super tasty and I'd highly recommend getting these. The banchan was also excellent, especially the fish cakes, noodles, and broccoli. I'll definitely be back here, probably for a spicier soup at an earlier time in the evening.

Yelp
It's been a long time since we've last visited. Quality has went way down. Before, it was overpriced but delicious but now the food quality is horrible and not justifiable for the price. Sides had no flavor. I didn't even touch half of it, which is rare. The seafood pancake is thin and had no seafood except the two slices. We only finished half and while crispy it's to the point that scratches the roof of your mouth. Not pleasant. Tofu soup was ok. Overall, left unsatisfied.

Yelp
This place!! I hope the prices never change. I got a squid bibimbap for 15.99 without tax/tip (full combo costs more). It was served very hot, the rice on the bottom was so amazingly crispy and buttery, and squid itself was so flavorful and just spicy enough that it was interesting but not to the point where it was too much. Would be tempted to get this again instead of the tofu soup the next time I come. It is exactly what you want on a cold ugly day. There are some minor quantities of green mixed in if you are thinking about your iron intake like me but probably not as many veggies as the beef or veggie bibimbap. Just make sure you eat the broccoli in the banchan :)
google avatar

Mhailene M.

Yelp
Delicious Korean tofu soup. You get unlimited banchan (about 6 different kinds usually) and a piece of small fish with rice. They also have other things on the menu but it's a go to spot for great tofu soup. I recommend! Service is fast and friendly. Food comes out very quick too.
google avatar

Selin B.

Yelp
So so good. Got take out the first time and came back for sit down a week later. With the banchan included, you get a lot of food and value for your money. Everything is so flavorful. Even brought my mom who is a high expectations eater and she loved it! We got: leek pancake, seafood tofu soup, japchae
google avatar

Marina C.

Yelp
I had an absolutely amazing meal here. Everything was delicious. The beef tofu soup came out hot and the flavor was amazing
google avatar

Hunter M.

Yelp
Amazing tofu soup with a great variety of side dishes. If you like spicy food, go all out with the extra spicy. Service is always great, very attentive. The inside is nicely crafted to look something like traditional Korean architecture. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
This tofu house is probably our favorite one in Atlanta, GA. There are plenty around, but this one just hits the spot. We always order the fish roe soondubu or tofu soup. I like mine spicy so normally I'll order one notch above the medium. Normally my wife and I order different foods so we can share and eat different items on the menu, but not here. We both order the same, fish roe tofu soup! I really enjoy the fried fish the meal comes with and the bonchons also. The locals love this place and it is always packed. I wouldn't even mind coming here alone to have a meal by myself.
google avatar

Giselle S.

Yelp
Great food. Just wish they had a little more on the menu, like appetizers. Service is great, just wish they would refill the bonchon when they are empty or maybe ask? They only have fish cake on Fridays unfortunately and that's my favorite. The galbi is really good, but very thin.
google avatar

Allison K.

Yelp
Incredibly consistent and reliable place for Korean comfort food. Their combo option where you can add galbi (short ribs) or bulgogi to almost any menu item is a good deal. I would recommend adding a seafood pancake or kimchi pancake - the crispiness is unrivaled.
google avatar

Amie S.

Yelp
This Korean restaurant hit the spot after a day of traveling around Atlanta! I really enjoyed the squid bimbimbap, a dish that I haven't tried before. The rice was a bit crispy and the flavors were very savory. The tofu soup and beef rib combo was also pretty good, but my one complaint would be how thinly sliced the beef ribs were. Other than that, they provided a complementary fried fish appetizer and every dish had a good amount of flavor.
google avatar

Mindy Y.

Yelp
Found this place after shopping at the nearby HMart and boy was this place good - the soondubu jigae was perfectly portioned along w the side dishes. It tasted so yummy - broth was rich and flavorful. You have the option to make it into a combo the comes w meat, but that would have been too much food. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in town.
google avatar

Kate F.

Yelp
The food here is pretty good and the service is ok. There is no alcohol served here! Not even beer or wine. The small fried fish that come with the entrees are good, plenty of rounds of banchan. The tofu soup is hot and spicy. The seafood pancake was very big, it costs a lot, but contains plenty of seafood. Its a tight fit for seating, and a short wait to be served. Food comes out quickly. I wouldn't come back here because I miss beer too much.
google avatar

Sabina A.

Yelp
I LOVE a food Korean spot, especially those local family-ran restaurants on Buford Highway. This one hits the spot. Great service, prices, and food. We had the bulgogi, galbi and pancake. All delicious. I will be going back for more!
google avatar

Cassie H.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go and get bibimbap from! The owners are so friendly, and the food comes out pretty fast. The sides always taste fresh, and I highly recommend!

Kisha C.

Yelp
Love the Korean bbq ribs it's a must. Plus the staff were friendly I would recommend this place to friends and family
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Buford Highway! I've been going to this place since college and I can never get enough. Their tofu soup is a must-get here ($12.99 and comes with ban chan, rice and raw egg). I always order the dumpling tofu soup, but this time, I decided to order a mild kimchi tofu soup with beef. It's very tasty and filled with tofu and kimchi, though I didn't think there was much beef, which was fine. One of the big differences with this place now is that they no longer serve barley tea. You also get a limit of 2 ban chan servings, when you used to get them unlimited before. Parking here could be a pain since they share parking with El Rey, which is another popular spot, so just be patient if you are trying to eat here.
google avatar

Angelica N.

Yelp
I've been a repeat customer of this place for the past few years, and it never disappoints! This trip I did notice the price went up for about $3, making the trip similar in price to places in Atlanta. This time when I ordered, I asked if I could get my soup spicier than "very spicy," and they said they were able to make it as spicy as I like! There is limited parking when it is very busy around dinner time on the weekends. The restaurant itself is traditionally decorated like many other Sundubu-jjigae restaurants I have been to in the past, especially around Duluth. I always appreciate how this place gives you a fried fish as well, since some similar places do and some places do not.
google avatar

Michelle Y.

Yelp
SKD doesn't disappoint; my friends and I decided to go last minute because we were craving some Korean food for dinner, and their soondubu is as authentic as it can be. Even though the restaurant was full and busy we were seated quickly, and the service was great despite the rush. If you enjoy spicy food, I recommend getting the hottest level; if you have a goold tolerance it's definitely not spicy enough where your mouth will burn, which is nice since I can enjoy a full meal with a traditional kick. However, even if you get the normal spice level, the mix of flavors and spices makes the soup delicious, so definitely just choose what you're feeling :)
google avatar

Kyle S.

Yelp
I thought this place was good! I came alone on a chilly night in need for some hot and spicy Asian food to keep me warm. The restaurant exterior is not flashy at all, so you might miss it if you aren't paying attention. Inside is pretty dark and smells so good. The staff was able to seat me immediately and I already knew what I wanted so quickly ordered. The food came out quickly. The sides were all classic and delicious. Hot tip for newcomers: the fish is pretty bony, so take small bites and chew your food to make sure you're not swallowing/choking on fish bones. The tofu was spicy, and the calbi I ordered was flavorful and just what I needed. I think overall the quantity of meat could be improved a bit, and the temperature of the soup as well. I cracked my egg into the soup and it didn't cook fully... Overall impressed, and would definitely recommend it!
google avatar

BitLeigh V.

Yelp
Back again at SKD and they definitely did better than my last visit with my Seafood Beef Tofu soup coming out boiling hot! The mild is perfect for me or even the medium spice level. For 2 people it comes out to around $31 and it leaves you feeling FULL!
google avatar

Mio H.

Yelp
We enjoyed the cold noodles in a hot day in Atlanta. So much flavors and the leek pancakes were super crispy and hot out of the oven freshness! Will def be back!

James K.

Yelp
The soft tofu soup is pretty good here, but I think the service and hominess has died down after this place got super mainstream. I don't think the other dishes are worth it, and they are getting stingier and stingier with rice and side dishes. Still worth a try for good soft tofu soup
google avatar

Suyoung L.

Yelp
Can't speak enough about this place! Every single items I've ordered were so delicious, and their side dishes are also so delicious. Servers are always very friendly and helpful. If you love Korean food, you have to try this place!
google avatar

Key M.

Yelp
Overall very good. Always enjoy going here for good service and tasty food. Be warned, parking can be difficult as this lot fills up quickly and is always packed. There are a lot of popular places in this shopping center and spots are hard to find. Be careful parking in nearby lots for other shopping centers as you may get booted. Also a heads up they don't take American Express. This place has the authentic feel of a Korean Tofu House. The staff are super helpful and friendly, and the food is great. I enjoy the tray of appetizers they bring out before your food. It has a delicious variety of snacks to hold you over until your food comes. The ribs are good, and all of their soups are delicious too. A little pricey, but worth it if you're in the mood for some quality food. One of my favorite spots in Doraville. Will be back many more times.

Yelp
Become a regular to So Kong Dong, always order take out for my family' then drive back to Charlotte. You can imagine how good they are ! My ranking #1 tofu soup in US

Yelp
I have been to So Kong Dong Tofu House multiple times, but somehow haven't reviewed them yet. I love me some tofu stew, to the point where my girlfriend calls me "predictable" whenever I order it at a Korean restaurant. This time I ordered the oyster tofu stew combo w/ spare ribs. As with most Korean restaurants, you get some banchan as well: noodles, potatoes, kimchi, bean sprouts, and broccoli. I loved the noodles; they had a smooth, almost slippery texture. It also came with a small fish, which I appreciate. Spare ribs were cooked perfectly, with slightly burnt/crispy ends. Being that this is a tofu house, their tofu stew was predictably delicious. Also to note is that you can pick your level of spice. Service was great. They were good about checking up on me if I needed anything. Banchan and the rest of the food came out fairly quick. I love this place and would continue to come back. COVID-wise: all staff wear masks, tables are spread out with blocked tables in between, hand sanitizer out front. I went when it first opened, so I can't comment on how it gets if it gets crowded.
google avatar

Sally S.

Yelp
I woke up this morning with the distinct craving for tofu soup. So I made a bee line for So Kong Dong Tofu House. I ordered the seafood tofu soup which came boiling and sputtering out of the bowl. Perfect. Their banchan was fresh, and bland not the best I have had but being focused on the soup, I wasn't bothered. Cracked the egg into my volcano with great satisfaction. I found shrimp, clams and oysters in my soup and a welcome of a minimum of spice. I was surprised by their kimchi which was not spicy at all. They had quartered red skin potatoes soaked in a delightful but mild marinade. I was also served a small fried fish, a sardine I think, and marinated bean sprouts. A small timbale of delicious rice was also served on the side. I couldn't eat all of the food. The decor was quite cute dressed up to resemble the interior of a Korean home. Service was fast. Although they don't serve any alcohol, a soft drink and water are my go to bevs anyway. This spot has been around for a long time and I am certain based on the number of people dining there at 1:30 in the afternoon, it will prevail as a solid choice for the Korean yummies you might desire.
google avatar

Dee C.

Yelp
Always busy with good soup and authentic Korean street food. Only downside is not enough parking space.
google avatar

Marsha Z.

Yelp
Solid tofu place. Tofu comes with the small fried fish and a good selection of side dishes. I got a spicy medium tofu stew, friend got mild tofu stew with the galbi combo deal. I wish there was a bit more galbi though. The tofu soup was pretty good. Currently doing indoor dining/social distancing/masks. And they have free water and hot tea too.
google avatar

Elyse P.

Yelp
This place has some fantastic and authentic Korean food. Just don't make the mistake of sitting down to eat close to closing time... they told us their kitchen was closing soon so we ordered in a hurry, and they rushed us our entire meal even though we were eating as fast as we could with boiling hot soup. (In and out within 40 min) They should have just turned us away if it was such a problem. Will definitely go back for a late lunch...
google avatar

Tay B.

Yelp
Kinda small little place. Homey feel. The service was great. They have a button at each table to call over your waiter if you need anything. The food was good. I had Spicy Seafood Tofu soup and the Seafood Pancake. AMAZING.
google avatar

Wendy B.

Yelp
Their sundubu is my FAVE! Amazing always the spice level on spicy is just perfect. Service is always fast and restaurant seems to be popular for their sundubu, so I would definitely suggest getting that. I got the beef soft tofu and it was PERFECT
google avatar

Jonathan K.

Yelp
One of my go-to Asian restaurants in Atlanta. I'm always a fan of Korean tofu soup just because it so comforting to the soul. The seafood tofu soup here does not disappoint. I had some serious side effects from my COVID booster and a bowl of their tofu soup essentially healed me (I am by no means promoting that their soup has any therapeutic properties and should not be prescribed by licensed physicians, but just my own personal experience before anyone reading this starts saying otherwise). I'm not a huge fan of banchan other than the glass noodle and fried fish, both of which they serve here! Honestly, I can eat their fried fish all day. Their seafood pancake is also one of the best I've had. It's not super oily and is very crispy as well. The only reason I gave this place a 4-start is because their galbi (Korean short rib) is not the best I've had. The galbi is very thin and also somewhat dry. Unfortunately, this has been a consistent experience, so I think that's just how they make it, which is such a shame because I have definitely had better galbi at other Tofu houses. Plenty of parking in this lot and even if it's full (it has never been full in my past experience), there is plenty of other parking lots in the area that you can park at and just walk over.
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
Solid and comforting sundubu spot! Came on a rainy Friday night and had to park one lot over, as the shared parking lot closest to SKD was crazy packed. I was able to get seated right away, even though the restaurant was almost at full capacity. The banchan (or Korean side dishes) were good, and it was interesting getting an entire fried fish as one of the side dishes. Be careful with this one, as there are lots of bones inside! For my soup, I chose the beef seafood tofu stew, which was tasty and satisfying. You can customize the spice level of your soup, and make sure to crack the egg into it right away while the soup is still piping hot in order to cook it thoroughly. I was annoyed that the shrimp wasn't peeled - tbh I wouldn't get any option with shrimp again, just because it's too much of a hassle. I made mine into a combo so I could try the kalbi (or short ribs), which were delicious! Super flavorful and easily my favorite thing that I ate here. Highly recommend trying these. Service was typical of an authentic Asian restaurant (aka not necessarily friendly, but quite efficient). I'd come back!
google avatar

Angel C.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the meal that I got from here! I was so hungry so I didn't take time to take any pics haha. But ordered the soft tofu combo's with both bulgogi and kalbi and also a seafood pancake. The seafood pancake was perfect. It was cheery and crispy at the same time with the perfect amount of squid and seafood. Got the mixed soft tofu in extra spicy and it was delicious! The tofu was so silky and the broth itself was great. The kalbi came a little thin but really tasty. And the bulgogi wasn't too sweet so it was very good to eat. Oh can't forget the fried fish! Awesome addition to the meal. For being all the way in ATL, this Korean soft tofu is authentic and terrific
google avatar

Elena F.

Yelp
Food is good in general. We have been here multiple time. Service is sometimes good sometimes is not so.
google avatar

Ruby D.

Yelp
the best in atlanta everytime i go to get groceries im craving it. Their tofu soup is my favorite and the buttons on the wall make it so easy to call for them. Food comes out pretty fast and workers are very friendly.

Vera L.

Yelp
The food was very overpriced. Rice was soggy, meat is cold and old. Portions were terrible. Nice decorations though, atmosphere was okay. The service was slow and wait time for food was long. I waited 35 minutes for my food.
google avatar

Amna C.

Yelp
This is a great authentic Korean spot! Although it was busy, the service was very timely and efficient. I ordered the tofu mushroom soup, which was delicious! The tofu was so soft, it had the consistency of cream. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions by substituting the beef broth with a vegetable broth. The seafood pancake was warm, savory and perfectly crisped. I very much enjoyed the broccoli side and sweet potato noodle side as well. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back here!

Eddy C.

Yelp
great food, poor service there were a few encounters that have left a sour taste. one time, we were given the wrong order twice, then refused to be compensated for the inconvenience. a few other times, the staff had refused to give us side refills after we had finished our main entrees. the soup itself is solid and leaves you feeling full. the galbi there is tasty as well, but in my opinion the amount given doesn't justify the price. side options are tasty as well, and the fried fish is delicious!
