Loved live figure drawing with $ pay what you can pricing $ (inclusivity helps a lot) before the pandemic. Please update us when this is returning! It seems events are more frequently updated on Facebook, but it's hard to keep up/current. Do y'all have a newsletter? I'm tired of hearing of events after they happen. Hope you can stay afloat. Arts make cities and this city should support the arts because the rents certainly aren't helping people stay. xo

I have heard of this place but had never ventured into this delightful place until today. They were advertising a block print workshop and my girlfriends and I decided to try it out. Señor Luis was welcoming to all who attended the sold out workshop. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the subject and was so helpful and patient. This is a gem that up until now was hidden to me. I'm so glad I learned about the amazing activities they host, especially the youth pop ups. It's so important for youth to have healthy and creative outlets for expression. Thank you, Sol Collective.

Sol Collective is always hosting amazing community oriented events. I am amazed to have such a cool place so nearby. The parking isn't super great. The offerings can be a bit eclectic so check the website to try to visit during an event that fits your vibe.

Ahhh the beautiful people of Raza! A spiritual gathering place, Sol is a gift to us from the Great Spirit! I would like to thank you all for being. So many blessings the Creator has given to you that you share with others. Oneh.

I love Sol Collective because it's has an inviting atmosphere. I've been coming here for years for concerts like Transitions hosted by Ruareyou. It's mainly for art showcases and just an open venue. Highly recommend coming here at least once.

A lovely space for Progressive thought and radical art. I went to see live music and the proceeds went to words Sheltering the needy so it's a great place to support a good cause

Yelp
Sol Collective is an amazing space that is constantly filled with energy and life. The amazing people here let us use the space for a small event. One of the girls works with Sol Collective regularly and was explaining the use of the space to us and you can definitely feel the vibe of the place. The walls are donned with beautiful graffiti work and an artist of the month type thing. I am definitely making plans to stop by here when they have a bigger event or art gallery going on.

Yelp
What an interesting, creative, and versatile space. Our friends brought us for a musical and interactive show. The show started almost an hour late, but the organizing group kept things interesting and interactive enough to keep us all entertained. We heard three musical acts and saw some cool videos. There was a simple cash bar. The audience was very chill and diverse. This space definitely felt like one that encourages "coming as you are." On the walls was an exhibit around Día de Muertos, with most pieces for sale. I look forward to having more occasions to visit.

Yelp
You can have a Haunting Good Time @ The Sol Collective! SITREP Sol Collective is an amazing gallery! My first experience here was during the Halloween Season. And on that note, Sacramento Yelp really knows how to do "Dia de los Muertos!" (the Mexican "Day of the Dead!" celebration) up right! And "YES"...our SOULS were collected @ The Sol Collective! THE LOCALE! Sol Collective is a wonderful community based partnership & space who let us use their facility to host our Yelp Elite party. THEIR SETUP Their unique mission is to use art, education, and technology as a didactic medium to create mobilization and community empowerment. Their 3,200 square foot community space (which proved to have ample room for this event) is located in Land Park and hosts - besides the truly random Yelp party - art exhibitions, multimedia workshops,apprentice/mentorship programs, and community forums. And to give a special plug to them, in addition their space is available for local organizations that provide service and advocacy within the fields of social justice and youth development. THE LOWDOWN Their art, their space, and their staff are a wonderful time!

Yelp
This Is Review Of Number (MAESTRO or MAESTRA a few notes on the piano if you please) TWENTY of this category! Not sure if can review this but as this writing there event in Sacra, our capitol of GOLDEN STATE, call Wide Open Walls from August 10, 2017 to think August 21, 2017! All kind mural paintings on the walls! One place mentioned in the program is called by SOL COLLECTIVE! Since as far cannot for Sacra find the WIDE OPEN WALLS, I do under this! There think thirty six or think thirty seven listed! The one by that new Arena/Stadium/Theater is mixed up! One local Sacramento couple, the lady say they walk all over arena/stadium/theater, not find! Is actually by a MAREN CONRAD, is at area the sign saying of ART HOTEL! Okay, so not quite arena/stadium/theater! I found twenty four of the thirty six or thirty seven! Needless say my program all bent, part torn, I mark that much! The one by what call M A R R S building is actually big wall at parking lot call OLD SPAGHETTI FACTORY, seven minute to ten minute walk from hotel! There one by a PORCH RESTAURANT, they from Laguna Niguel! They painting image President George Washington and image President Abraham Lincoln on surf boards! Bottom their art, they paint words SURFING U S A! One by a crepery restaurant, white lines but no traffic lights so cannot get accurate or describe accurate! The Marriott Residence Inn they painted what look like earth, trains, hands! I hope any the Sacra local people get chance see this WIDE OPEN WALLS! Never found the SOLD COLLECTIVE place but write under this as the program has an article on Sol Collective place! Very beautiful art work!

Yelp
Sol Collective is a super funky spot tucked away in Curtis Park. They immediately stole my heart when they moved into the area and threw an ice cream social to bring the neighborhood together. Hells yeah! I'm a fan of being social, I love ice cream--let's do it! I've been lucky enough to attend a few events here: shows, a book release party, and most recently, Yelp's Dia De Los Muertos event. It's a large space with various areas to roam around and lots of cool art. The best thing about Sol Collective is that they're all about building community, arts, youth advocacy, and social activism. It's refreshing to see a group of people take action in the community in an effort to make a difference. Most people these days are uninformed, apathetic, or too self-involved to give a damn. Needless to say, I fully support their efforts!

Yelp
I have to huge give props to Sol Collective. Sacramento should be honored to have your space in town, because I know I am. Sol Collective not only gathers diverse and local artists, they also volunteer services to children seeking artistic guidance. They are helping young minds follow their passions in the arts. As an artist myself, that speaks volumes to me, and applaud you for your services. There are a variety of beautiful, really interesting work on display here. I could easily get lost in their space, admiring the collections. To top it all off, there's an instant energetic vibe here. I felt alive, I felt excited and I felt peaceful here. This is a place I don't think I'll go back but KNOW I'll go back to.

Yelp
An absolute cool vibe going on in there. Easy to get to for local public transportation and if anything, you can take a taxi there. (And yes there is a good sized bike rack just outside). Its a pretty spacious area with ample amount of space to work on your laptop or just chill with a soda and friends. Its pretty urban cultural.

Yelp
I made a wonderful discovery today when I finally stopped into a place I have passed many time over the years while on my way to somewhere else. If you are Hispanic or if you aren't you will love Sol Collective. They describe themselves as "a Center dedicated to Art, Culture & Activism", and what could be better than that. They display work from local artists, provide workshops, performances, open mike nights, support community gardening and much more. You can check them out on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ArtCultureActivism or on the web at http://freesolarts.wordpress.com/

Yelp
If you have a passion for Art, community & the hip hop culture then The Sol collective is the perfect venue! I first encounter this local Gem in my neck of the hood when I went to "Mics and Moods" & since then it has very quickly become the place for the Live Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop & Spoken Word in Sacramento. The absolute BEST entertainment you can find on the last Saturday of the month. The soulfully stylistic creator of the show Khiry Malik has serious roots in the Spoken word world & he brings in the most gifted & talented folks for our ears! They usually feature a live band, Open Mic & a growing list of incredible performers. So much culture & Talent in Sacramento... Who knew?!! I love it! The collective is a wide open Art-Studio/Gallery type of Venue. Perfect for any kind of live / intimate performance or Catered event. They are also very active with the urban youth & community. I WILL be back for this event again!!! So if you are into Hip-Hop, arts & culture this is the monthly event is the joint!

Yelp
Great tiny place for music shows. Very intimate. The art hung on the walls is all very beautiful. I've seen one show here and look forward to going back!

Yelp
Sol Collective defies an easy description, which I suppose is what makes it so damn cool. During a private tour of the space on a weekday morning, I was immediately struck by the energy that must fill it when an event is going down. There was graffiti on the walls, beautiful paintings, a stage where lectures and classes are given, sculptures, an eating area, a small shop with merchandise and fliers on local happenings, and an office for my good friends at Unseen Heroes, a marketing and branding company. The tour inspired me to grab a schedule of events and look for something interesting to attend in the near future. It's great to know there is a space like this committed to fostering and supporting anything and everything creative. After all, Sacramento is a very creative city.

Yelp
Where the music and art are always dope!! Sol Collective has offered workshops/classes in yoga, permaculture, alternative medicines, music, dance... and so much more. They also often hold events that cater to kids (healthy eating, arts, etc) which is a plus. Sol family is always welcoming. Support the local venues! Find Sol Collective on facebook to stay up on their events!

Yelp
My disappointment is with the employees of the venue. I have called, emailed several times wanting to reserve the location for various community related events. They have poor administrative skills....

Yelp
I went to Sol Collective for the first time to attend the same February Second Saturday show that Janine M. mentioned in her review. What a great place; I immediately felt at home in the open warehouse space plastered in a collage of original art. Most in attendance were friendly, like-minded young folks on a mission of local art appreciation. And after hearing much enthusiasm about them from friends, I got to see The Pets close the evening's entertainment- awesome. Sol Collective is an asset to Sacramento urban art culture.

Yelp
This is easily one of the coolest spots in Sac. Love the DIY, community-driven, artistic vibe. I went to see Chico Mann a few weeks back and was extremely impressed by the people and the space. Looking forward to going back!

Yelp
Interesting place, would like to come back for something else than a show. Went to the Halloween show, it was rather entertaining. Game Day food truck was present. I think I would of had a better time if the bands that played were decent, it was all worth it for help world hunger.

Yelp
People are so sunny inside at the SOL collective!

Yelp
Great place and great mission. Keep up the good work. This is a great center that helps promote culture and offers a place for youth to discover their talents. This is a hidden jewel in Sacramento that we need to continue to support and cultivate our youth.

Yelp
I was so impressed with this place. I went and saw "Who Cares" a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. The layed back environment, interesting people, and awesome artwork couldn't have a contributed anymore to the beautiful experience that is "Sol Collective". I can't beleive I wasn't aware of this place before and I will definitely be going back to show my support to the local music and art scene, especially if they have more music like local hip hop group, Who Cares.

Yelp
I love coming to events here and love the art youth scene spin. I have been to a fundraiser and a special event here and it is a very exciting venue. Sol Collective is also pure eye candy, check out pictures of the venue, colorful and creative. Their calendar of events is delightful; who else has workshops like; Curanderismo, Self-Care, and Personal Healing, Activist School and a presentation by Chicano Poet Francisco X. Alarcon. It gets pretty steamy at Sol, so I suggest under dressing if attending and hot blooded like myself and if your always cold, you won't be here. I look forward to many more trips to Sol Collective over the years; art, music, food, and revolution!
