What an incredible realization of a passion project that continues to flourish. This is truly a labor of love and exudes immense creativity and care by the family who own and operate Sol y Luna. ||We had the fortune of experiencing this gem for two nights and only wish we had two more to fully savor the scope of the offering available as their experiences on an off property could easily fill a week - especially to celebrate the equestrian program that is unique to this hotel. ||We did enjoy their private cooking class where we learned Peruvian classics in a fun and informative setting and also found time to swim, sauna, and workout (hotel gyms are a rarity in Peru so we were thrilled to discover Sol y Luna has a small yet well equipped fitness room). The breakfast was excellent (everything from acai bowls to locally smoked trout with poached eggs); the rooms are absolutely charming with local art and unique character (highly recommend the Deluxe category over the Superior for extra space, double vanity, separate shower and tub, fireplace, etc); the gardens so lovingly designed and established... It really is an expression of the heart and we are so blessed to have discovered this gem. Truly a favorite from our adventures through Peru.
