I stayed at Sol y Luna as part of a National Geographic group trip to the Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu. It was the best and most relaxing hotel on our 4-hotel trip. The individual casitas were spacious and luxurious. The long swimming pool was outstanding for basic laps/actual exercise. The hot tub was great for relaxing. Our group did 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts at the hotel - all were wonderful, delicious, and the right amount of food. The setting was scenic - with some mountain views from the pool area. The landscaping/gardens were amazing - I'm sure I didn't appreciate all the diverse plants there. We were 30-40 minutes away from Moray and Ollantaytambo (the train station for Machu Picchu).

This is a beautiful property. The setting is stunning and the rooms, gardens and pool immaculate. Breakfast was excellent and there was loads of choice. Staff were keen to please. However there are no tea/ coffee making facilities in the rooms, everything is extra and very expensive so we ate outside the hotel. Water was provided in the rooms though it was quite hard to get the bottles refilled. There was no obvious water station for filling water bottles prior to trips out. The turn down service was just delivery of hot water bottles which was nice but I expected more at this end of the market.

What a wonderful resort. Stayed here as part of a National Geographic tour. The grounds were spectacular with flowers blooming everywhere. Individual huts instead of hotel rooms added to the charm. Nice surprise when I climbed into bed and discovered a hot water bottle warming the sheets.||The food was wonderful.

Extremely comfortable and clean chalets. Very spacious with good beds, nicely laid out. The hotel has fantastic facilities (gym, sauna, jacuzzi) and two good restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend for anyone visiting the Sacred Valley

Perfect location for all your adventures to come. |Your room is a small round rondawel which is nestled amongst the beautiful manicured gardens. The inside is beautifully decorated and I found the bed comfortable. |So enjoyed receiving a hot water bottle in the evenings! The breakfast had variety and was well presented with charming service. |Not enough time to really experience all|that the Hotel had to offer.

Our experience with Sol y Luna was great — a unique and wonderful oasis in the Sacred Valley. We arrived with high expectations, all of which were comfortably exceeded. The team took exceptional care of us throughout. If you’re considering where to stay in the Sacred Valley, look no further. I recommend Sol y Luna with the highest enthusiasm.

From the moment we arrived I will provide you with hot water bottles in our bed. A beautiful onion soup and hot tea was made in our bedroom. I just felt right at home all the staff lovely from the man that comes to light your fire every evening and like your room I think Sol luna rates as one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in , well done to all xx

Disappointing hotel despite the beautiful setting. The rooms are stylish but sparse e.g. no kettle and no glasses provided for the water. You cannot sit comfortably up in bed as there's no headboard just a shelf behind the pillows. The prices are ridiculously high for everything. A single glass of wine is almost 20 usd. The gym is very small and the sauna temp is very low (47 C!). The breakfast is tasty and the restaurant manager is very personable. But overall this hotel is not good value for money at all and I would not recommend it.
