"Need a dinner with live bagpipers? Head to Mad Fox Brewing Company's Falls Church location. There will also be poetry readings in tribute to Burns. This year the event is free, but reservations are recommended. Scottish-inspired food specials will be paired with Mad Fox beers, such as the 80 Shilling Scottish Ale. Find festivities details here." - Tim Ebner

Beer is very good. Heavy on IPA' s but that's pretty common with these pop-up breweries. It's a nice place in Falls Church to enjoy a beer. Staff are not rude, but certainly not friendly or inviting either. They just don't seem interested or engaged. The only thing that really sticks out is that the beer glasses have a soapy odor to them that definitely overtakes the beer flavor. Probably just not rinsing well. I'll be back. I'll just buy a can instead.

Great atmosphere similar to many breweries I've been to. In addition to a huge bar and tabletop seating they have a separate room with a small arcade and another smaller bar. Had live music on the Saturday evening I visited. Food was great and really nice portion sizes. Menu included wine and cocktails beyond the beer you would expect from a brewery 😉

I’ve been here twice now. The first time was for a birthday party with a private bar and food. It was great then. Came back thinking it would translate to a Saturday night out. It did not. I really wish places would bring back servers. I need opinions when it comes to beer and the bartenders were too busy to be able to help. The pizza was fine. The chickens sandwiches came out cold. Spent $125 for dinner for 4 including 1 drink each. The sandwiches don’t come with sides so that’s extra. I will say they have comeback kid from lost boy cider so that’s a plus.

Went for the live music, which was great! Really nice to have live music in a bar, and the arcade games and other options. Lots of seating space, and staff is friendly. The food is pretty good, definitely solid hot dogs. I will say, the food and drinks are on the higher side for what they are, but you're paying also for all the experiences they have there too! Definitely go if there's live music, spend some time.

Good beer, very nice french fries and thin crust pizza, delicious. They have a happy hour, weekdays 4-6pm. I have tried Cised Double IPA, tasty. I can recommend it if you like a bit more alcohol and a distinct flavor in your beer. Also go with "beer and cheese and bacon fries", won't regret it. Place is family and group friendly. Can sit in and out. Have a nice time.

POSTING TWO SEPARATE REVIEWS because the basic elements of this place are so far apart. SERVICE is great! It's not a traditional sit down restaurant. It is the typical brew pub, but better. You order what you want through the app or at the bar, get your number and someone brings the food. You get your own water refills and get your drinks at the bar. The staff that brings the food, the bartenders, the buspeople clearing the table - all GREAT! We were there for trivia night and the guy doing the trivia is one of the best we've ever encountered. Good clear diction (if you don't do trivia, you can't appreciate how important this is), he had good background music, and created a great vibe. SECOND HALF OF REVIEW The food was WAAAYYYYY too salty. Inedible for some at the table. WHY WHY WHY do restaurants buy the most uncomfortable chairs available? I understand being on a budget, but especially a brew pub where you'll likely spend 2 hrs in the chairs, the owners should take into consideration the comfort of the chairs.

I rate this in the context of similar venues. Food is consistently good, there are specials every week so variety is good and the kitchen takes pride in what they make. Beer of course is a staple. I see whining about service...but fact is...the staff is solid...not having table service is a choice to be comfortable with...or not

Came here for the pinball - they have two machines; a new Foo Fighters Pro and a Godzilla Premium. Neither are connected to Stern Insider. FF ran pretty well but Godzilla was a bit of a mess. The staff was friendly and would definitely visit again!
