I’m from out of town and walked in just because coffee sounded great. I didn’t realize it was also a record shop! I have an extensive record collection so I got really excited that they had my two loves; music and coffee. I did end up finding a record I needed, and the staff was also very friendly and helped me pick out a bag of beans to go. Definitely will come back next time I’m in CO!

Google
Fun local coffee shop is back open! Great pastry, breakfast and lunch options to compliment your usual drink selections (2 Leaves and a Bud for tea). They also have a good book and record selection to browse. Tables and small counter seating and power outlets make it a great place to catchup with someone or knock out a little work. Glad to have them back open!

Google
Loved this place! Great coffee and breakfast (and book selection). I tried the vegan breakfast burrito (solid) and bagel with lox (also great).

Grace Groff

Google
Loved this place! The employees were so nice & gave great recommendations. Additionally, the vibe was cool - they had vinyl records, art, and good music. Prices are great too!

Google
Great coffee with unique flavors! Solar Roast Coffee impressed me with their quality and creativity. The service was good, and I loved trying their cayenne coffee - it had a perfect spicy kick that really made it stand out from typical coffee shops. They’re clearly doing something different here, and the coffee quality backs it up. Definitely worth a visit if you want to try something beyond the usual options!

Google
Today I decided to visit the Solar Roast Tejon location, and was not disappointed. I was immediately welcomed by Hope, Waverlee and Yesenia eager to answer all my coffee questions. I got a Peach White Mocha Granita and a Bacon Eye-Opener, everything was delicious and though it was extremely busy, they still made time to make sure I was satisfied with my order. It was a wonderful and enjoyable experience. Thank you Solar Roast I will definitely be back!

Google
A great coffee stop whether just passing through or to get a little work done. The menu is unique, and the coffee and food are quality! Just stopped through on the way to the mountains, would definitely go again!

Google
We have been in a few times the food has always been good and drinks taste great. When ordering at the counter the ladies aren’t very talkative or friendly whether it’s busy or not but it is what it is. I am not at the spot to make friends I guess but it would be nice to be a little friendly or smile. It’s in a great location right downtown near all the shops. Overall the place is a great place to chill and have a drink and a snack.

Yelp
While I am happy that Solar Roast has returned from their unfortunate fire, I must take exception with what I see as an unreasonable price increase on their roasted coffee beans. Before the fire, they sold 5 pounds of roasted beans for $55. That was a wonderful deal but was for sure too low. Coffee prices over the last five years have increased roughly 20% so an increase was justified. However, they now sell that same 5 pounds of beans for $85, or from $11 per pound to $17 per pound. This is a 55% increase which I find completely unreasonable. There are far too many other options available at prices that are palatable.

Yelp
We're new transplants to Pueblo, and have visited a few times. Great backstory, friendly, talented staff and outstanding drinks. This is also a wonderful location to catch up on some work or explore the adjoining shops. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I am honestly shocked at how rude the baristas were. I arrived with two small kids and we stood at the register for over ten minutes without being aknowledged. I finally politely asked the baristas where to order and was met with a rude response. When my five year old daughter politely asked for a water and thanked her, she did not get a response. The food and coffee were good but we will not be back based on service. I completely understand being busy, but to not a knowledge the presence of a customer and to ignore them completely is not it.

Yelp
I needed some coffee grounds on the way home from climbing and yoga and thought I'd check this place out. I was psyched I stopped by. Super friendly and helpful baristas. They sell records, pins, food, all kinds of drinks...and oh yeah, coffee! I got a tasty organic Colombian blend they grow here in Colorado. I'm gonna stop by here and actually sit sometime because they had a super chill vibe and plenty of seats. If you're downtown and want a coffee CHECK THIS PLACE OUT

Yelp
$20 plus a 15% tip for 2 specialty lattes), small & a large) and a piece of pumpkin bread (way too sweet). Quality and service was good. Ambiance inside is okay. Could use more tables and chairs. Looking out the window would be great if it wasn't for the "unhoused" and transients, squatting outside the window, spitting on the ground and coming back-and-forth from the park and streets. On the other hand, this is the typical Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, and Denver. They receive a one star rating because they charge paying customers a dollar for a cup of water! Won't return or recommend. Go to Stir, Perks Pike or Tree Bird, Kawa or Loyal, either Switchback Coffee Roasters locations or Third Space instead.

Yelp
Stopped in here to grab a coffee while exploring the downtown area. Perfect spot to grab a drink and keep moving through the surrounding shops, particularly the bookstore (separate review). Interior has giant murals splashed across the walls, outside has shaded seating, strong wifi available. I like that they have several specialty beverages here and ended up getting a hot nonfat white chocolate mocha that I really enjoyed. Service was quick, price was reasonable. I would come back to try their food on another visit!

Richard R.

Yelp
Basic cappuccino and dry cupcake for $10. Only a few customers but it took 20 minutes for my coffee. The albums for sale are so overpriced that I had to read the price tag twice. $30 for a Jethro Tull album. ($23 on Amazon). Very limited seating. Seems like one person camps out at each table for the free WiFi. I won't return

Heidi N.

Yelp
The macchiato was so smooth and delicious, iced tea was perfectly brewed and the pumpkin bread was definitely a highlight

Yelp
Great vibe and coffee in downtown Colorado Springs. We were walking around while on vacation and stopped in. Server was super nice. If we lived in the area, we would be regulars!

Yelp
Pros: Great tasting coffee, affordable for the sizes they give, great location, quiet, they sell records and bags of coffee, kind staff Cons: I can't think of any Overall score: A+

Yelp
Rolled in off the interstate seeking breakfast. Limited offerings in Pueblo on Mothers Day 2024. Coffee is excellent. Breakfast burro very good. Service prompt and new employee at register was very friendly and helpful. I very much recommend Solar Roast - Pueblo!

Yelp
I gotta say.... really, really NOT bad... Legit good espresso and associated Coffee Shop fare with the addition of some classic Vinyl selections for sale as well. I had the Zebra Mocha as well as a side car of a Double Espresso and can honestly dlsay it was really excellent! The folk behind the counter are doing it RIGHT ON and are friendly, courteous and spot on.. Being downtown, there's a collection if characters wandering about... some of them are carrying on in deep conversation.... with themselves... but hey... they're customers and thats cool. Nestled on a corner spot and I cant imagine this plane NOT being a big hit... Official Grand Opening 11 Oct 2019... come and get you some of that!!! #GYSOT

Yelp
Now this place is so neat! Coffee shop with records for sale? Inside is very vibey and staff was so helpful. Really enjoyed jsut walking downtown and finding this place!
google avatar

Yelp
The lattes are delicious! Pueblo latte (with cayenne) is perfectly spicy, filbert latte isn't over sweet but has a great flavor. The muffins were delicious too.'

Yelp
Just fyi they WERE open today, a sunday, before or around 11am, because i noticed yelp said closed. The woman who helped us was very kind and she almost had me at matcha, but i got a lemon bar instead. My husband got their zebra coffee, which is like mocha and white chocolate together, i think? Unfortunately he didnt find it any more special than simple coffee with milk. I tasted it and it was fine, but not very sweet. So he gave it to my dad, and my dad loved it. So who is to say?? Unfortunately the lemon bar, while good, tasted and smelled strongly of onion bagel. I assume they were all in the same case. So it kinda ruined the effect. I really love lemon bars. Not sure if these were vegan or anything, but if it was i definitely couldnt tell. The crust wasnt that buttery shortbread, more oats i think. I mean, i'd come back. Try something else. I dont live here tho so it'll be awhile.

Yelp
Great coffee. Good food. Cool coffee joint. Vintage records for sale inside. Busy. Nice service.

Yelp
I love this place! it totally fits in with the downtown Colorado Springs vibe. It's on the perfect corner, right when you enter downtown, so there's usually parking or some close enough that walking isn't a big deal. Or for tourists, it's a great place to start your walk down Tejon, gather with friends here first and have a delicious latte or yummy granita. I love the lavender latte with almond milk, or the four berry granita. there is seating inside and out, although it is minimal. There's also an interesting selection of retro and vintage vinyl records to look at. The barista's are always very friendly. It's worth a stop.

Yelp
I am a visitor here in Colorado Springs, and I'm always scoping out unique and fun coffee shops. This place was exactly that! I chose it because it's the worlds first solar coffee roaster! The atmosphere was fun and interesting. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to help us out. The lavender white mocha (I got mine with oatmilk) was delicious! Creamy and different, with the perfect balance of lavender and white mocha. Nothing was overpowering. I also got the tofu scramble burrito (ate it before I got a picture) and it was delicious! It's rare that I encounter a place that gets it right. Can't wait to come back and try it out again!

Yelp
I love this coffee shop. The vibes are so great as well as the menu! We tried some of their holiday options for coffee and a espresso coconut macaroon! The girl helping us was so helpful and sweet. They have vinyl for sale right when you walk in, and the art is beautiful. It's also right in the heart of downtown, which is so perfect! The place was very clean, and wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Went here yesterday to get a drink before my son and I's hair appointments. It's got a chill vibe and the service was super friendly. I got a iced lavender latte which was divine and my son got an iced chai latte. He of course loved that too. It was a great first experience which I'm sure will be more to come.

Yelp
People were super friendly, coffee and snacks were good. Great ambiance. Nice morning stop.

Yelp
Great addition to downtown COS. Much better than Starbucks that used to be here. 10% off for riding your bike! Coffee is very light and smooth. Best part is the burritos: Pueblo chilies, hand cut potatoes, quality bacon. During their opening week they gave out free coffee and food samples all day on the sidewalk. Their vibe is positive and staff are really engaging.
google avatar

James C. B.

Yelp
They had a very delicious drip coffee which was a surprise for me. A little disappointed they didn't offer a pour over.
google avatar

Xines S.

Yelp
In downtown Colorado Springs. About 6 specific vegan options. Cute patio outside. Coffee and bagel were delicious! Staff was friendly and very accommodating
google avatar

Christina B.

Yelp
Excellent coffee, I ordered a iced lavender white mocha and it was delicious. Also tried the bacon eye-opener breakfast sandwich, very tasty.
google avatar

Miranda A.

Yelp
Awesome little place to stop in and chill with a great cup of coffee. Can't wait to go back!

Martina S.

Yelp
I ordered 2 drinks, and it took more than 20 minutes to get to me, and they forgot about it. They were NOT understaffed, and there was only about 2 people infront of me, their orders also small. Dont reccomend if your in a rush, not to mention the drink was average, looked weird, and was watery. Could've made a better one myself at home in my microwave.
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Very kind people. Grandkids loved hot chocolate. They even cut straws in half for them to drink. Cool vibe with the records. I live in Florida or I'd be there all the time.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
Solar Roast is a Nice place but the coffee isn't that bright. I ordered a $5 strong pour over. It was super weak and definitely not strong. Sorry to say but Starbucks dark hour old drip would out shine their expensive fresh pour over. They have shinny happy people here and a lot of interesting drinks to offer, including a CBD infused coffee. So come bye if your getting a espresso style drink maybe that's better than straight up coffee.
google avatar

Jo C.

Yelp
We were at an event across the street and decided to check this place out. I love how friendly the staff were and how knowledgeable. They have CBD infused coffee which is great! Definitely try the smoked salmon bagel, you won't regret it.
google avatar

Paul H.

Yelp
The quiches are outstanding. I did feel that the markup on Simply Orange was out of my price range. Being able to charge my phone was a plus.
google avatar

Rachael B.

Yelp
I've loved this spot since it has taken over the corner Starbucks downtown! With beautiful murals and large windows, it is the perfect downtown spot to enjoy a coffee and snack. I found that they use delicious Olde World Bagels for the sandwiches and started having breakfast there as well. I love their espresso drinks and the unique combinations & seasonal drinks they have. Must try!
google avatar

Stephenie A.

Yelp
Utterly awesome!!! Clearly the best of the best on CO Springs, if not CO!!! The coffee is soooo tasty and the bagels are soooo sooo good. The staff is so friendly and kind. Plus, the atmosphere is so awesome!!! Great interior design, art and just everything. Plus, if u like records, they have a great selection waiting to be explored. And I love their commitment to the environment!! So great!! Can't go wrong w Solar Roast!!!
google avatar

Yelp
There a big red sign in the door that says "No" to a bunch of things and I thought that was a little cringe. Also, their ovens were broken, so I could only get a salad. The "No" sign was kind of off putting.

Carl T.

Yelp
Solar Roast is one block away from the Tesla supercharger station in downtown Colorado Springs. Worth the walk! I had a multigrain bagel with Pueblo spread. It has veggies, green chilies, and a kick. Coffee is good. Great staff, funky but mellow vibe. A selection of vinyl records in the front of the counter. And if you ride a bike in, you save 10%. It's also a true coffee shop with a variety of drinks (e.g. latte) and beans. I'm no coffee expert so I'll let others comment on the details of coffee. Stop by. Support a non-chain restaurant.
google avatar

Sandy F.

Yelp
The coffee is delicious, lemonade is perfect, and the WiFi is strong. Staff are friendly and attentive. The music is chill but not too loud. There are several places to plug in your electronic devices. Varied food and snack options! The eye-opener breakfast sandwich is simple and tasty. I think this place could use a few more electronic outlets but overall I am really glad I made the choice to check it out. This might be our new spot!
google avatar

Katey S.

Yelp
Really great experience. I ordered through Yelp (Grubhub) and it was done super quickly and correctly. The food is great quality but it wasn't incredibly flavorful. I had the vegetarian burrito with green chili which was good but I think I'll ask for extra green chili and beans next time :) my niece had the bacon burrito and liked it, we both think the tortillas were a bit dry and flaky but tasted okay. My husband had the sausage sandwich which he really enjoyed. We all had mochas and they were great, just what I wanted, not too sweet but delicious. The people who were working were thoughtful of keeping other customers 6 feet from me which I always really appreciate. They were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back again!
google avatar

Kim M.

Yelp
Great coffee and awesome atmosphere. I much prefer this to the Starbucks that was here. They also have a small record selection for fellow audiophiles. Friendly service and my lavender white mocha was fantastic. One of our new favorite spots!

Jack H.

Yelp
Stopped by recently and picked up a bag of decaf coffee beans. Their motto says, "Roasted, not Toasted" or something like that. Regrettably, the coffee had a terrible, bitter burnt taste, which was the same odor that emanated from the bag when I opened it. The beans were burnt, and I had to throw away the whole bag. I then bought a bag of Switchback decaf beans and, using the same settings on my coffeemaker, got a great cup of coffee.
google avatar

Cassidy P.

Yelp
Both times I've been here, I've had great customer service. Everyone is so friendly and they have delicious coffee and lemonade!
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
Great iced coffee was enjoyed today, happy to have this little gem downtown. But I think they should invest in using paper straws!
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
Convenient stop located near the Tesla charger. Our family loved the quiche, breakfast eye opener sandwiches (the ham is delicious!), and pastries. The raspberry danish is delicious! Very friendly, kind, and helpful staff. Coffee great too. Enjoy!
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
This is a great coffee shop with friendly staff and good products! It's in an awesome location, on the corner of Tejon and Bijou. I appreciate the atmosphere and little outdoor patio. The coffee has a nice flavor without being too acidic. As far as food goes, so far I've tried the bacon breakfast burrito and it was delicious, especially with the salsa. There is a 10% discount for people who cycle over, which is a great incentive for me to go back really soon!
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this coffee shop. My drink was overly sweet and not as smooth as other places in town. The ambience is great and it's a cute shop.
google avatar

Ben M.

Yelp
New coffee cafe in downtown Springs but with Pueblo roots. I'm a vegetarian and I love their Southwestern Quiche. Make sure that you ask for a side of their Pueblo green chili to pour over. It's fantastic. Their coffee is as good as any I've had in town. Really nice comfortable place to enjoy your food and drink. You can also purchase vinyl records here.

Melia P.

Yelp
The coffee at this shop is very good, I would recommend it to anyone :) The inside of the shop wasn't super amazing to me, nothing fancy to hangout in but I would definitely come back for the coffee!
google avatar

Tristan S.

Yelp
Loved the Pueblo location, so happy they came to COS. One downside is that they don't have pour over like their Pueblo location does. That would be nice considering they have such amazing light roasts here. The coffee is smooth and delicious and people in here are kind and not at all pretentious unlike a lot of other craft coffee houses.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
I was waiting in line to order at the register and the cashier completely ignored me. Then proceeded to help customers who came in after me. AVOID this place. There are better coffee places that treat everyone with respect.
